Fragment x Travis Scott x Air Jordan Pack Coming Soon: New Photos

Travis Scott has been dropping hit after hit alongside Jordan Brand over the last few years and with these shoes becoming so popular, it only makes sense that Jumpman would continue to the streak, or at least attempt to. Scott recently came through with a brand new Air Jordan 6 and in just a few months, he will be linking up with Fragment for a new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High and the Air Jordan 1 Low.

The Fragment x Air Jordan 1 from 2014 was incredibly popular and fans have been wondering if it would ever be replicated. Now, it seems like we have that answer as both the high and low versions will have the popular blue, black, and white color scheme, with a twist. Each shoe is set to have a backward swoosh and as you can see from the photos below, the low and high will have subtle differences, such as the color of each swoosh. Both models look pretty amazing and it’s clear that sneakerheads are anticipating these heavily.

It is believed that the shoe collab will drop in the Fall although an actual release date has not been determined. Stay tuned for more details as we will be sure to keep you informed. In the meantime, let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Did Migos Really Almost Sign To Kanye West’s Label?

Migos released the highly-anticipated third installment of their Culture series Culure III this past Friday. With sales projections already estimating that the effort will push upwards of 150k units, their rigorous promotion of the effort definitely seemed to work.  The trio is notably signed to Quality Control Music, their labelmates including Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, City Girls, Metro Marrs, and more.

After being independent for a small period, they eventually signed to the label in 2015. The following year, Kanye West announced that he had signed the trap stars to his GOOD Music imprint under a management deal, but these plans eventually dissolved. In a recent interview with Big Boy, the group touched on what exactly went down regarding the deal.

“Y’ll were supposed to at one time sign with Kanye West?” asked Big Boy to the group as they played a true or false game. “False,” responded Migos almost at the same time. “It was like, for management. It was a management deal,” answered Quavo.

“Oh okay, but it wasn’t like paperwork we signing to Kanye this is what’s going down,” asked Big Boy. “Nah, we was just talking. False for false,” they further clarified.

This reflects a similar answer the group gave in an interview on Sway in the Morning back in 2017 when they explained they were having discussions about a management deal, but nothing was ever solidified.

It seems like Ye may have just been a bit eager with his announcement. Quavo also recently revealed that he and Pop Smoke were working on a joint project before his passing, touching on their close relationship.

Billie Eilish x Air Jordan Teaser Surfaces Online

Billie Eilish is one of the biggest artists in the world right now and thanks to her status, there are plenty of brands out there who want to work with her. Eilish has been known for her fashion choices over the years and she has been vocal about her love for Air Jordans. There are various models that she has frequented over the years, including the Air Jordan 4 which appears to be one of her favorites. With this in mind, one would assume an Eilish x Jumpman collab could be coming in the future.

Well, thanks to the Twitter account Sole Retriever, a teaser for a potential Eilish x Nike x Air Jordan collaboration surfaced online. In the image below, you can see what appears to be a folder or a booklet that explicitly says “Eilish x Nike x Air Jordan.” There are no shoes in the picture although it is pretty obvious what is being alluded to here.

There have been rumblings that something like this could happen, although this latest image seems to indicate it will be happening sooner rather than later. This is certainly good news for all of Eilish fans out there as we’re sure her shoe will fit her personal fashion choices.

Stay tuned for more updates on this potential collaboration as we will be sure to keep you informed.

Quavo Confirms Soulja Boy Introduced Him To Travis Scott

It seems Soulja Boy has been just about everywhere recently. Ever since making a significant comeback to the mainstream after his track “She Make It Clap” went viral on social media, he’s been enjoying the fruits of his return. He’s recently been confirmed by Swizz Beatz as one of the next guests to appear on Verzuz alongside Bow Wow.

Ahead of the battle, he and Bow have been exchanging lighthearted shots at each other to build anticipation for the showdown. They’ve traded shots about different things like their networth, chart success, and hairlines. Being recognized further for his contributions to the culture–although he is quick to remind everyone, he shared a clip of a new interview from Quavo confirming Soulja was responsible for introducing him to Travis Scott.

“Quavo we got Soulja Boy coming up here next week ima talk shit to him if he was capping, did you really meet Travis Scott at his house or is that cap?” asked the Power 106 host.

“The n*gga ain’t lying,” responded Quavo. “They say Soulja Boy ain’t lying, okay. He’s telling the truth, he telling the truth. We was, you know, finna work with Soulja and Travis was just kicking in the corner, I ain’t even know who he was I thought he was like, I was like who the f*ck is him, and Soulja was like ‘You don’t know him? That’s Travis Scott’ I said ‘Swear?’ and then it happened,” he explained.

As history tells it, Quavo and Travis went on to produce the joint Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho tape under the alias Huncho Jack. Without Soulja’s introducing the two, who knows if the world would’ve ever heard a collaborative project from the duo.

Although he often jokes about being a trailblazer, in this case, credit is definitely due.

“Halo: Infinite” Multiplayer Revealed At E3: Watch

These next few days are very exciting for all of the gamers out there as E3 is going down. This is the expo in which all of the new video games are shown off for each console. Even the game studios themselves have their own conferences and it makes for a phenomenal show that brings people together. Today was a very special day as it was Microsoft’s big conference. The XBox Series X has been a massive success and fans had been waiting for some new games to be announced.

Most XBox players were waiting for an update on “Halo: Infinite” which is the game that will add a new chapter to Master Chief’s story. While a bit of the campaign was shown off last year, fans had yet to see anything about the multiplayer. Well, that all changed today as 343 Industries gave fans a 2:25 clip that previews everything they can expect from the multiplayer.

The action here is pretty fast-paced and the maps look nice and condensed which ultimately leads to much better action. While it might not be the old-school Halo some fans were hoping for, this still looks pretty amazing. Not to mention, it will be free to play at launch, which gives fans more incentive to check it out.

A release date has not been given for the game although you can expect it to drop during the Holiday season.

DC The Don Delivers Heat With “Ghost Rider”

DC The Don continues to make a name for himself with each drop. On June 11th, the L.A. rapper dropped the visuals for his new single, “Ghost Rider.” “Ghost Rider” follows the release of some of his recent hits, “Rag3 Kidd” and “Outlaw.”

Although DC The Don is a relatively fresh face to the rap game, his bars throughout “Ghost Rider” display his noteworthy skills as an MC. “She said you a sophomore, bitch I’m in my second season/ Gotta put my jerseys in the Raptors right now, DC fuckin’ eatin’,”  he raps.

“I’ll never see your soul inside you, I saw what it did to you/ It’d been one day of the week but I swear to God that I’ve been missing you,” he continues, dishing out noteworthy lyrics primed for subtweets. As he spits these lines over a 2000’s era pop-punk-esque beat, his versatility is apparent to any listener.

Quotable Lyrics

Bitch got gas, he a runner (Yeah)
Do the dash on my opponent, whoa
I’m way too fast, no he don’t want it (What?), got the trap house jumpin’ (Go)
Bitch I got that bag I feel important

Nicki Minaj Apologizes After T-Pain Says She Ghosted Him In 2007

Nicki Minaj has been a superstar, even before the public recognized her as one. This boils down to not only her attitude but her work ethic, as well. T-Pain recently sat down for an interview with the 85 South Show where he detailed the one time that Nicki Minaj had him in his feelings.

Back in 2007 when Nicki’s buzz with strictly on an underground level, T-Pain said that he tried to reach out to her in an attempt to lock her down in the studio. However, it seemed that Nicki was too focused on her solo material at the time to work with the multi-platinum singer. “We was about to work together and she stopped responding and I was like, ‘Nick, let me know what’s going on,'” he recounted. “She was like, ‘Hey, I’m an artist too and I’m working on my shit so ya know. Baby, chill.’ And I was like, ‘Oh… My heart.'”

He joked that he may have been in love with Nicki at the time but in actuality, he explained that Nicki’s quick curve wasn’t anything malicious.

Nicki caught wind of Pain’s comments and quickly offered an apology to Pain. Though she didn’t remember the actual exchange, she said that it did sound like something that she would’ve said.

Bryan Bedder/Getty Images

“Omg what was I thinking? He was already a rlly big artist. I was still underground. Chileeee I used to b buggin yo,” she wrote, admitting that she already felt the weight of everyone’s expectations of her. “My bad babe, all love. I have nthn but respect for your talent and thank you & Kanye for clearing ‘Go Hard’ for Beam Me Up Scotty last month.”

Nicki expressed her adoration for Pain on that record in particular. “Listening to you over & over on that record taught me [so much] about harmonies & background vocals,” she continued. “Your vocals on that song alone are GOATED FOR LIFE. I listened to every single detail @tpain.”

Perhaps, the Nicki Minaj x T-Pain collaboration will soon come into fruition.

Pharrell To Open School For Low-Income Families In Virginia

Pharrell has proven time and time again his commitment to giving back. While the multi-hyphenate has already extended his reach into the mogul world by adding different entities to his portfolio, his green thumb has remained intact in many of his other endeavors has remained intact.

On Saturday (June 12), the Grammy-winner announced plans to open a group of small private schools for low-income families. The first of these schools will be in Norfolk and will open this fall. Students in the city in grades three through five will be eligible to attend the school, with an end goal of expanding on his equity-focused non-profit’s established summer program for students.

“If the system is fixed and unfair, then it needs to be broken,” said Pharrell of the endeavor in a press release. “We don’t want lockstep learning where so many kids fall behind; we want bespoke learning designed for each child, where the things that make a child different are the same things that will make a child rise up and take flight.”

Dubbed Yellowhab, the school will be completely tuition-free for at least the first year of running. The costs of attendance are set to be covered by philanthropic supporters. One of the school’s earliest donors was the Walton Family Foundation, which has already spent millions over the last two decades to support and promote charter schools.

According to Executive Director Mike McGalliard, the school currently had no plans to make the school a public charter. “We are very clear here that we’re not taking away from the city or the district. We want to be additive and not put any kind of onerous, intrusive impact on those institutions,” explained McGalliard. “It’s very important that we not disrupt that revenue stream.”

Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander praised the work Williams’ nonprofit has done, adding that he was looking forward to seeing what else he’ll be able to accomplish. “What happened was breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty,” Alexander said. “To see that students had gone on to university and some of the Ivy League schools was just very impressive. That’s what we witnessed there.”

The school will initially enroll 40 and 50 students and will follow a skill-level format rather than traditional grade-level cohorts. Families can apply for admission at www.teamyellow.org/yellowhab and will be selected through a lottery process.

Yellowhab will officially open its doors on September 7th.
