Wiz Khalifa is a man of many talents. Aside from having an unmatched mixtape discography, the weed enthusiast has also been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai kickboxing for a couple of years now. Seemingly perfecting his craft, the hitmaker takes to Instagram from time to time 

While his lanky frame and cannabis-induced charisma may fool you, the latest boxing clip from the “Black and Yellow” artist proves he for sure knows how to throw hands. After sharing footage of a recent sparring session, the Pittsburgh native received praise from MMA pros.

“Play Date at @Unbreakable [Wiz Khalifa]. Just a dude boxin a dude,” wrote NFL sports insider Jay Glazer in a tweet with an attached video of the two boxing. He stood tall over Glazer as he threw some punches, earning praise from industry professionals for his performance. 

Tyron Woodley left flame emojis under the post, while Kevin Ferguson Jr. proposed to him, “Let’s get some rounds in.” Lucas Marins added, “Nice my brother,” while Saenchai left a simple flexing emoji. Perhaps Wiz will be the latest celebrity-turned-boxer.  

In other Wiz news, he recently accepted a sincere apology from Peter Rosenberg after he revealed intimate details about why he and his former wife Amber Rose split up in 2014, admitting he may have overstepped some boundaries.  “I could’ve been a supportive friend and not be a dickhead to you,” said Rosenberg. 

“I appreciate the apology, man. At the time, that was very, very one-sided and it was fucked up, bro,” Wiz said to his friend, effectively ending their beef. “For me, I’m your homie, you know what I’m sayin’? If it’s an issue like that, we talk. You got on the radio and told one side of a story as soon as it happened…”

Kyler Murray hasn’t made the playoffs since coming into the league two years ago although he certainly has the talent to get the Cardinals there. He is a flashy young quarterback and his teammates love what he brings to the table. Next season, he will have quite a few weapons at his disposal and it seems like he could be in for that breakout season everyone has been anticipating.

On a more personal level, Murray grew up in Texas and recently, he was asked what he thought about the Dallas Cowboys and whether or not he was ever a fan of the team. As Murray explained, via the Blogging The Boys Twitter account, he never liked the Cowboys as “they were always ass.” 

To put it mildly, that is a pretty blunt description of America’s team although it makes sense when you consider how Murray is 23 and didn’t get to grow up during the Cowboys’ glory days. Instead, he was forced to witness some pretty mediocre seasons, which doesn’t give you much reason to become a fan.

While the Cowboys have improved since then, Murray has had some success against Dallas and this year, he will get to play them in Week 17. With this in mind, it will be interesting to see how Cowboys players respond to the slander.

Fans have been waiting for the release of Certified Lover Boy for nearly a year at this point. The album was expected to be released last summer but evidently, that wasn’t the case. Knee surgery and other commitments seemingly threw off the creative process of CLB. However, Drake’s been popping out more frequently in these past few weeks which could be a sign that he’s gearing up for the official album roll-out.

Last night, the rapper showed face at URL NOME XI event where he served as a guest host for the evening. The rapper’s love for battle rap has been well-documented in the past and he made sure that the individuals involved were well-compensated. With $100K cash prize up for grabs, Drake upped the ante during the evening when he pulled out an additional $50K in cash for the winner. 

“I know I said a hundred but,” he said as he reached into his pockets. “I had to sweeten the pot.”

While that would certainly make each participant hungrier, Geechi Gotti and Rum Nitty both showed incredible showmanship and ended up splitting the pot with each other. A nice $75K in their pockets each.

Drake certainly enjoyed himself last night but apparently, the discussions surrounding his appearance on URL came up. Drake took to Instagram today with a photo of himself and Murda Mook reflecting on the rap battle that could’ve been during Blackout 5. 

Nicki Minaj once showed love to former Australia’s Next Top Model contestant, Duckie Thot. The rapper commented on Thot’s post saying, “How are u even real.” Minaj’s comment went viral and earned even more attention from the public.

Now, in an interview with Stellar Magazine, Duckie Thot reveals her initial reactions to the rapper’s adoration. “It felt a bit awkward at the start, but I just try to remind my fans and people out there that obviously I’m a human being,” the model said. She explained that it was her first time gaining viral recognition on a social media post.

Since 2016, the Ghanian-born model has booked runway shows with Valentino and Victoria’s Secret. Duckie Thot’s first runway show was for Kanye West’s fashion label Yeezy in 2017. Thot has also booked magazine covers with Paper Magazine, Marie Claire, and Harper’s Bazaar.

Presently, Duckie Thot is the face of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty cosmetics line and a makeup ambassador for L’Oreal cosmetics. She first gained attention on Australia’s Next Top Model in 2013. Although she gained recognition from the show, it was initially difficult to find work in Australia. By moving to New York, she eventually caught her big break and continues to work steadily.

The Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks have been facing off in the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals for the past week and a half. The Nets currently lead the conference 2-1, with Game 4 taking place Sunday afternoon (June 13), and Games 5 and 6 tentatively scheduled for June 15th and June 17th. 

While the Nets currently lead the series, an incident involving Kevin Durant’s personal bodyguard Antjuan Lambert has landed the affiliate in some hot water. After running onto the court during Game 3 and shoving Bucks player P.J. Tucker, he was been reportedly suspended by the NBA for the remainder of the series.

In addition to the suspension, he is also banned from working any games the team may have in Milwaukee. The situation that resulted in the suspension happened during the Buck’s Thursday night Game 3 over the Nets. In the third quarter, Durant and Tucker exchanged words and the situation escalated quickly, eventually prompting teammates and officials to intervene–including Durant’s bodyguard.

Dressed in all black, Lambert jumped into the middle of the scuffle and shoved Tucker before officials escorted him to the sideline as the situation calmed down. The Nets hired Lambert at the request of Durant, which, according to a report, is a rare practice in the NBA. 

An NBA spokesperson subsequently announced on Saturday (June 12) that Lambert is banned from the remaining series games in Milwaukee and will not be allowed outside for games in Brooklyn any longer. The organization reached this decision after investigating both teams. 

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer was surprised by Lamberts actions. “To be completely frank and honest, in the heat of the moment, I have no idea who that guy is with or who he is affiliated with,” Budenholzer told The Athletic. “It could be Fiserv Forum security, could be Bucks security, could be Nets security.”

Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets have had it easy in the playoffs so far. They defeated the Boston Celtics in just five games with relative ease and now, they are up 2-1 on a Milwaukee Bucks team that simply does not have enough firepower to keep up. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been phenomenal and in the first round, James Harden played a massive role. Unfortunately, Harden has been out with a hamstring injury for the last few games and it has put the Nets at a disadvantage.

Before the Nets’ big game against the Bucks today, Nash spoke to reporter Malika Andrews where he gave a quick update on Harden. Essentially, Harden is currently participating in practices and shootarounds, although he still has quite a bit of progress to make before he can come back.

Considering Harden missed quite a few games due to a similar injury in the regular season, it would appear as though the Nets are exercising an abundance of caution, which is probably for the best. They need Harden in the lineup down the stretch and without him, it will be a lot more difficult to win that elusive championship.

Kodak Black recently celebrated his 24th birthday, a momentous occasion filled with new luxury vehicles and some gift-giving of his own. He kicked off the celebrations with the Happy Birthday Kodak EP, a four-track project with appearances from Jacquees, Yo Gotti, Lil Keed, and Rylo Rodriguez. 

Alongside the release of the EP, he debuted the video for its second track “Feelin’ Peachy.” The colorful video lives up to its name, showing the Pompano native rocking a bright matching set, and of course, tons of beautiful women. Two twin video vixens particularly caught everyone’s attention for their uncanny resemblance to The Clermont Twins. After catching wind of the buzz, the duo took to Instagram to directly address Kodak.

“Nah whew lmao if we wasn’t in the budget just say that,” wrote the duo on their joint Instagram page over a photo of the look-a-likes reshared to their story Saturday (June 12). The doppelgangers in question appeared to have the same aesthetic as the Clermont Twins, from the blonde hair, the oversized shades, and their sculpted frames. 

“It’s getting weird,” they added in another story post. “What you bought vs. what you get [laughing face],” they continued to clown in another post. “Or is it what you want vs. what you can afford?” From the looks of it, the twins make a pretty compelling case regarding the imitation.
