LeBron James angered a lot of people just a couple of weeks ago when he tweeted “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY” following the police shooting death of Ma’Khia Bryant. Various police officers came out and said that they feel as though LeBron put their lives in danger with this tweet, and many are looking for some sort of punishment to be handed down. Just recently, an Idaho officer was suspended following his comments about LeBron, and now, the Los Angeles Police Protective League is asking the NBA to investigate LeBron.

Detective Jamie McBride went on Fox News and said that LeBron is a hypocrite for the language he used and even believes that LeBron is purposely trying to incite violence. Now, the LAPD Union is hoping for LeBron to face punishment from the NBA as they think his tweet went against the league’s rules.

LeBron eventually took his tweet down and has since stated that he just wants to see police get held accountable for their actions. Police shootings have been rampant over the years and many are fed up. With Derek Chauvin going to jail for a very long time, it seems as though things are heading in the right direction although there is still a lot of work left to be done.

As of right now, the NBA has yet to comment on this situation.

Moneybagg Yo is right on the tail end of unleashing his latest project A Gangsta’s Pain, which arrived last Friday (April 23). The major-label release was complete with appearances from fellow artists like Kaash Paige, Big30, Future, Polo G, Lil Durk, Jhené Aiko, as well as production credits 

He followed the release with an equally massive release party. While certainly an exciting moment for the rapper, the Memphis native took to social media to share some unfortunate news about his mother’s health.

On Friday (April 30) night, the “Said Sum” artist revealed shocking news on Twitter that his mother had tested positive for coronavirus and was also diagnosed with pneumonia.“Dam mane how df My mama got COVID and pneumonia,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet, “smh I need y’all prayers right now.”  

While he did not provide any additional details about his mother’s condition, he did ask fans to keep his family in their prayers. “Mannnn I hate when sh*t goin good sum bad come right behind it,” said the Memphis native in a second tweet, referencing to the critical and commercial success of his fourth studio album. 

With the release, the rapper scored his first number 1 album in the United States, pushing upwards of 100,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Hopefully, for Moneybagg, his mother’s health improves in time for her to celebrate his massive achievements with him.

After the police shooting death of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant in Ohio, LeBron James caught a lot of flack as he took to Twitter with the message “YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY.” Eventually, LeBron deleted this tweet after gathering more facts on the case, although the damage had largely been done. Police officers were especially upset with LeBron’s message and for the last couple of weeks, they have nothing but harass the NBA superstar.

One such case came out of Idaho as an officer by the name of Nate Silvester went on TikTok and mocked LeBron for his message. According to the Idaho Statesman, the officer was actually suspended although it’s unclear as to whether or not he was fired completely.

Regardless, a GoFund Me was made on behalf of Silvester and it is already wracking up a ton of donations. The GoFund Me already has upwards of $210,000 in it which truly makes us question who exactly is offering up this kind of money for one random officer. Regardless, it seems as though starting a GoFund Me after being “canceled” is the new grift that won’t be going away anytime soon.

Silvester has even made a video thanking those who sent him money, and in said video, he claims officers are being “bullied and vilified.” You can watch that video, below.

LeBron James went down with an ankle injury back in March and since that time, the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled mightily. Now, however, LeBron is officially back in the lineup and last night, he got to play his first game since the injury. In the end, he was able to muster 16 points all while picking up eight rebounds and another seven assists. Despite these efforts, the Lakers could not win the game as they fell to the Sacramento Kings by four points.

After the game, LeBron spoke to reporters about his performance and how he felt by the end of the game. As LeBron notes, he hasn’t practiced much with the team which could be a contributing factor as to why he couldn’t do more.

“I haven’t played in a game in six weeks,” James said via ClutchPoints. “No contact, no 5-on-5. I’ve been doing a bunch of individual workouts and a lot of running, trying to keep my heart rate going, my conditioning going. For my first game in six weeks, I felt OK. As far as my wind, I felt pretty good. My ankle was a little tight at times, obviously just doing different movements, different things that I haven’t done in a game situation in six weeks. I think as the games go on that will continue to improve. But I came out unscathed.”

There is still plenty of time before the playoffs for LeBron to find his rhythm. Fans should know by now that playoff LeBron is a totally different beast and we’re sure he will be motivated to go after that fifth title.

It’s gonna be May, and Netflix is prepared to end the spring season with a bang by adding a fun list of titles to its platform. The eclectic mix of box office favorites and Netflix originals lined up for the month is enough to keep us entertained as the pandemic slowly phases out (we hope).

While there are several titles leaving this month that will be missed, including Adam Sandler’s painfully sweet 50 First Dates, there is a lot to look forward to. A few movies from the Resident Evil series, The Back to the Future trilogy, Zombieland, critically-acclaimed thriller The Lovely Bones, Scarface, and so much more are coming to Netflix as early as May 1. 

As far as original content goes, the highly anticipated second season of Selena: The Series will also arrive in May alongside Zack Snyder’s zombie flick Army of the Dead starring Guardians of The Galaxy’s David Bautista.
