Viewers Were Stunned By Kanye West’s Pitch-Perfect ‘Cameo’ In ‘Glass Onion’

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery finally hit Netflix this weekend and by most accounts, it lives up to the hype. While it had its detractors (namely Ben Shapiro, who might have seen a bit of himself in its ludicrous representatives of the shallow moneyed class), most of the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive — even if lots of attention has been lavished on one of its stars’ head wrinkles. As a satire of so-called disruptors, it’s spot-on, right down to the “cameo” appearance of one of the bigger self-righteous buffoons in pop culture today: Kanye West.

Kanye doesn’t actually appear in the film; rather, his likeness is captured in a mural on the wall of billionaire tech genius Miles Bron’s island home — the titular Glass Onion. It’s just a pitch-perfect detail that this pompous, self-important dork would admire Kanye so much that he’d get a painting of him on his wall. Of course, he would. Before Kanye’s recent spate of hateful behavior, you could imagine all kinds of these clueless capitalists boasting about their associations with Ye. Hell, even now, it seems like a significant portion of them are still okay with giving him a platform.

Now, the film was shot last year, well before Kanye finally fulfilled the prediction that Zack Fox made in 2018, but it probably plays even better and more on the nose now. Just check out viewers’ reactions as they realized that yes, this Elon Musk stand-in (although director Rian Johnson denies it) is just so proud of his Kanye mural. Hey, remember when Elon let Kanye back on Twitter (along with Donald Trump and a bunch of other vaguely Nazi-ish characters)? Janelle Monae’s character has the right idea.

Chris Rock’s Special, “Selective Outrage,” To Air Live On Netflix

Chris Rock’s upcoming special, Selective Outrage, will air live on Netflix. The unique comedy special will premiere on March 4, 2023. It will be the first time the streaming service has aired a live comedy event.

Selective Outrage will be Rock’s second Netflix special following 2018’s Tamborine. Netflix shared a teaser for the comedy special on Christmas Day.

“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation,” Robbie Praw, Netflix vice president of stand-up and comedy formats, previously said in a statement. “We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be a part of Netflix history. This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch.”

While the new trailer doesn’t give away any of Rock’s act, he’s been working on new material during his recent Ego Death tour. In clips that have made their way online from the shows, Rock has touched on Will Smith infamously slapping him at the last Oscars ceremony.

“Everybody is trying to be a fucking victim. If everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims,” Rock said on stage, before labeling him “Suge Smith…”

“I went to work the next day, I got kids,” he further added. “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face.”

Be on the lookout for Selective Outrage on Netflix at 10:00 PM, EST on March 4, 2023.

LeBron James Enjoys Some Hookah After Huge Win

On a personal level, LeBron James has been having a solid season. Over the last few games, he has consistently been putting up some 30-point performances. Additionally, he has been creeping closer to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record.

As it stands, LeBron is just 601 points away from beating the record. That is a truly tremendous accomplishment that he should be proud of. For now, however, he needs to be focused on getting some wins. After all, the Lakers are just 14-20 which puts them at the bottom of the Western Conference

Yesterday, the Lakers changed their fortunes at least a little bit. They beat the Orlando Magic by a score of 129-110. This was a nice victory for the team especially since LeBron scored 28 points. Overall, it was a much-needed addition to the W column.

LeBron James Celebrates

According to TMZ, LeBron had himself a good night following the match. The Lakers superstar went on down to Barsecco in Miami at around 1:30 AM. While there, he partook in a few shots of Hookah. Below, you can see a video of the festivities. While James did not stay there long, it definitely seemed like a fun time. Any time LeBron James shows up to your establishment is a real reason to celebrate.

LeBron is about to turn 38 in just a couple of days. Consequently, it makes sense that he would celebrate a win by going out and about. Not to mention, when you are in Florida, you might as well head to Miami for some fun.

Let us know what you thought about LeBron’s most recent performance, in the comments section below. We have some highlights below for your viewing pleasure. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Bow Wow Says Daughter Shai Doesn’t Want To Act

Bow Wow’s daughter, Shai Moss, is already known for talent. At just 11-years old, the young star has proved that she can do it all. Fans often urge Shai’s parents, Bow and Joie Chavis, to enroll their baby girl in actor classes, so that she can be a star.

However, the “Like You” rapper recently revealed that his daughter doesn’t want to be an actress. Bow also says he isn’t the type of parent to force his kid to follow in his footsteps. “Shai dont wanna act,” he replied to a fan. “Shes such a natural and def can do it but im not the type parent to force her to do it to follow my legacy. I want her to choose what makes her happy and as her dad im going to support her. Plus i aint have a childhood. I’m actually living through her.”

The Millennium Tour star answered more fan questions during his Twitter session. One follower asked if he thought about mentoring young artists, like Snoop and Jermaine Durpri did for him early on in his career. “These new generation of artists is wild as f*** and they don’t listen.”

As for his super successful Millennium Tour, Bow says it took about a year to plan. “We was working on the turnd up tour while me and omarion was out together. So like a year.” With the success of the “Turned Up” tour, the rapper/actor plans to take the show on the road — literally. “No tour in the states,” he tweeted about upcoming dates. “I go over seas in Jan.”

When it comes to Shai, fans aren’t the only ones to catch wind of her talent. Back in September, Irv Gotti caught heat for reaching out to the tween about a movie role. When the DM didn’t work, Gotti hopped under Shai’s comment section regarding the role. “Hey Shai,” he wrote. “I tried to reach out to your mom and dad. I am interested in casting you in my movie I’m shooting. Let your mom or dad know to get in touch with me. It’s a perfect role for you.”

Joe Budden Says He Wants To See Rick Ross Vs. T.I. “Verzuz” Battle

Verzuz battles continue to be a heavily debated topic within the hip-hop and R&B world. There’s always discourse among fans online about which two artists should face each other next. However, we’ve only seen some of them come to fruition.

Regardless, there have certainly been a number of memorable battles over the past few years, including Jeezy and Gucci’s historic showdown, as well as T-Pain vs. Lil Jon.

In a recent episode of his own show, The Joe Budden Podcast, the “Pump It Up” rapper says he thinks Rick Ross and T.I. should square off next.

“I’m down for the person that we’ve seen already, that won.. alright, next battle. Rick Ross versus T.I.,” the media personality starts off. He goes on to say that the “Whatever You Like” rapper has never participated in one and he thinks Rozay won in his previous showdown with 2 Chainz. Therefore, according to Budden, the “Hustlin’” rapper should move on to face a new opponent.

“And Ross [has] got more than 40 records that he could play with, so now [he’s] back with a different 20. Or ‘John’ in front of T.I. looks different than ‘John’ in front of 2 Chainz. Like, I don’t think Ross will have time for the strippers to come out against T.I. It won’t be time for massages, speeches.. that’s T.I.” he continues afterwards.

The aforementioned Rick Ross vs. 2 Chainz battle went down in 2020. Budden obviously thinks that the “Aston Martin Music” rapper came out on top and should face a new opponent. “There’s a few people that won that I think need to come back and do it again,” says the former Everyday Struggle co-host. The suggestion certainly seems like a good idea and it will be interesting to see reactions pour in on social media.
