Nardo Wick And Sexyy Red’s ‘Somethin’ Video Has Fans Reminiscing About A Long Since Forgotten Viral Sensation

There’s no denying rap fans are experiencing a colossal case of sampling fatigue. However, Nardo Wick’s latest single, “Somethin,” featuring Sexyy Red, has supporters willing to make an exception.

As the two rappers let go of their hardened exteriors to show their emotional vulnerability, Wick drew inspiration from long since forgotten viral sensation IceJJFish. As “Somethin’” starts, the record opens with the easily recognizable chorus of IceJJFish’s 2014 track “On The Floor.”

The video opens with IceJJFish’s singing, “It’s something about ya, girl / That just makes my head wanna twirl / You got me wantin’ to tell all them other girls / There’s nothing else better on this world / The moment I seen her.”

In the remainder of the video, Nardo Wick and Sexyy Red show that everyone needs love. “That lil’ sh*t got my head twirlin’, what she tryna do to me? / Real short shorts, I see the dimples in her booty meat / And she not no borin’ one, what she do excite me / Is you her lil’ whoopty-woo? Uh, b*tch, I might be,” raps Wick.

After realizing the sample, fans rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to point out the reference. View a few of their responses below.

Kanye West Gets Support From Jason Voorhees Actor For Mask Usage

Kane Hodder, who played Jason Voorhees in several of the Friday the 13th films, has spoken out on Kanye West’s usage of his character’s iconic mask. He says he’s fully in support of the rapper but wants him to get a nicer version of the mask. Ye has been wearing the mask in numerous public appearances and performances in recent weeks.

“I was watching a bunch of the videos and I love it. Kanye, you gotta let me get you a better mask though. That’s kind of a cheesy one. I could get you a nice one and if you would just, during your performance, give the eyes a little bit. That’s what gets people when you’re wearing the mask. Do the big eyes.” From there, Hodder remarked that he’d be down to send Ye a movie-worn version of the mask. He also suggested that Kanye’s polarizing reputation isn’t hurting that of the mask.

Donna Summer’s Estate Accuses Kanye West Of Copyright Infringement Following The Release Of His Joint Album ‘Vultures’

Despite its many delays, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s joint album, Vultures, has finally dropped. Unfortunately, not everyone is excited by its release. Today (February 10), in an Instagram Story, Donna Summer’s estate voiced their anger over West’s use of the late singer’s music.

“Kanye West asked permission to use Donna Summer’s song ‘I Feel Love,’ [and] he was denied,” they wrote. “He changed the word, [then] had someone re-sign it or used AI. But it’s ‘I Feel Love.’ Copyright infringement!”

They then went on to tag West, his collaborator Ty Dolla Sign, and even Sharon Osbourne. Why Sharon Osbourne? Well, for those keeping count, this marks the third musician (or their family) to come out to explicitly state that they did not clear West’s use of their work.

On February 9, Ozzy Osbourne took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam West for his alleged unauthorized use of his song “War Pigs.” But the post has since been deleted.

Backstreet Boys are also rumored to have pushed back against West’s use of their 1997 hit, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”

Even Nicki Minaj has refused to clear her previously recorded verse for his previously leaked song, “New Body.”

Could Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s album lead them to a lengthy legal battle? Fans will have to stay tuned.

Kanye West Makes Questionable Reference To The Jewish Community On First Track Of “Vultures 1”

Discourse seekers only needed to look as far as the first track of Vultures 1 to find some questionable content. On “Stars”, Kanye West makes an eyebrow-raising reference to the Jewish community. “I’ma come through and just black out/ Just black out/ Keep a few Jews on the staff now/ I cash out,” Kanye raps. While not as egregious as a previously heard line about not being anti-Semitic because he had sex with a Jewish woman, the line is likely to incense certain parts of the internet.

Furthermore, it comes less than two months after Kanye apologized to the Jewish community, in Hebrew, for his past antisemitism. “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding more in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity,” Kanye wrote on social media.

Quavo Was Removed From Kanye West’s “Fuk Sumn” And Fans Aren’t Happy

However, a questionable line about the Jewish community isn’t the only thing about Vultures 1 drawing ire. Reports have emerged indicating that Quavo had a verse removed from “Fuk Sumn” on Vultures 1 and fans are not happy. “Quavo verse >Travis verse aside. Ty has NO aura. The aura coming off of quavo is insane next to weak a– retwist needing a– Ty,” one fan wrote. “I haven’t seen the TL defend quavo like this lol. Seems like Kanye really messed up with removing him on ‘FUCK SUM’,” added another. “Kanye robbed quavo by taking him off fuk sumn. I don’t give a single f-ck about carti, travis or even kanye’s verse on here, quavo was carrying the song bro 😞 SHYYYYT,” a third noted.

Quavo still appears on the album, featuring on the track “Paperwork”. However, people really wanted to hear him on “Fuk Sumn”, which instead features Playboi Carti and Travis Scott. How do you feel about “Fuk Sumn”? Let us know in the comments.

NBA YoungBoy Accused Of Fathering 12th Child With Wig Stylist

Despite being only 24 years old, NBA YoungBoy is a father to many. The Baton Rouge-born performer has 11 children, to be exact, and could have yet another on the way. Earlier this week, a wig stylist who goes by Kash took to Twitter to allege that she’s pregnant with YB’s baby.

“This n***a nba youngboy aka flew me out just to get me pregnant now he tryna blow up my phone and sweet talk me into getting and abortion and I’m not getting one n***a think i want his money,” she wrote. Evidently, she received quite a bit of pushback for her post, with many commenters accusing her of lying. To support her claim, Kash went on to share an ultrasound of who she alleges is YB’s baby. “Y’all call him nba youngboy I call him kentrell trust me he know what’s going on,” she captioned the image, adding a kiss emoji.

Kash Claims YB Is Trying To “Sweet Talk” Her

She later shared what appeared to be DMs between her and YB, in which he seemingly offered to send her money. At no point in the conversation was the pregnancy mentioned. Kash later claimed that the rapper had texted her to stop posting things online, adding that he “better send [her] money.” According to her, the baby is due next month. NBA YoungBoy has yet to address Kash’s claims.

Despite having 11 kids, and a 12th allegedly on the way, NBA YoungBoy has faced backlash in the past for his approach to parenting. During his appearance on The Bootleg Kev Podcast last month, he was asked about how he feels about fatherhood. “I’m not really big on it to be honest,” he replied. “This is a cr*zy topic because I’m not the type to sugarcoat nothing.” What do you think of a woman coming forward to reveal that she’s allegedly pregnant with NBA YoungBoy’s 12th child? Are you surprised? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Kanye West Put On Blast By Donna Summer’s Estate For Alleged Copyright Infringement

Following months of teasing, Kanye West has finally dropped his eagerly-anticipated album with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures 1. The Vultures project is expected to arrive in three installments, and the other two are scheduled to drop in March and April. While in general, the album has been a success so far, not everybody is feeling it. The latest critics to come forward were from Donna Summer’s estate, and they accuse Ye of using her song without permission.

In a recent Story post from Summer’s official Instagram account, the estate claims that Ye had asked to use the late performer’s song “I Feel Love,” and was denied. They note that he changed up a few things before using it on his album. Regardless, they allege that it’s “copyright infringement.”

Donna Summer’s Estate Claims Ye Asked For Permission, Was Denied

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Ye’s been put on blast for allegedly using another artist’s work without permission. It’s not even the first time this week. Yesterday, Ozzy Osbourne took to Twitter/X to call him out for using a sample of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” when he was explicitly asked not to. The metal icon’s wife even jumped into the debacle to throw a few jabs at the Chicago MC. “@kanyewest ASKED PERMISSION TO SAMPLE A SECTION OF A 1983 LIVE PERFORMANCE OF ‘WAR PIG’ FROM THE US FESTIVAL WITHOUT VOCALS & WAS REFUSED PERMISSION BECAUSE HE IS AN ANTISEMITE AND HAS CAUSED UNTOLD HEARTACHE TO MANY,” Ozzy wrote. “HE WENT AHEAD AND USED THE SAMPLE ANYWAY AT HIS ALBUM LISTENING PARTY LAST NIGHT. I WANT NO ASSOCIATION WITH THIS MAN!”

As for Sharon, she called Kanye a “pig,” and claimed that he “represents hate.” What do you think of Donna Summer’s estate calling out Kanye West? What about his new album with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures 1? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
