Donovan Mitchell To Receive MRI After Awkwardly Landing On Ankle

Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz have been on a roll this season as they are currently first in the Western Conference, which is something no one really saw coming. Unfortunately, Mitchell experienced a scary injury today during a freak play against the Indiana Pacers. While going for the ball, Mitchell was tripped up and when he came down, his ankle bent in a dramatic fashion that would make any fan cringe in agony.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Mitchell was immediately brought to the locker room where he received an X-Ray. The results came back negative although now, he will undergo an MRI to see the full extent of the damage. Despite the injury, the Jazz went on to win the game.

The Jazz cannot afford to lose Mitchell for a long period of time especially when you consider just how competitive the Western Conference is. If the Mitchell were to miss the rest of the season, then the Jazz wouldn’t have a number one scorer to rely on, which would certainly cause some problems.

For those interested, you can see the full extent of his fall, down below. In the meantime, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the world of basketball.

Kyle Rittenhouse Reportedly Received Donations From Cops

Kyle Rittenhouse traveled outside of his home state back in August where he attended a protest in Kenosha, which was where Jacob Blake was shot by police. Rittenhouse brought a rifle to the protest and ended up murdering two protesters. Since that time, Rittenhouse has earned close to $600K in donations to his GiveSendGo Fundraiser. Now, Rittenhouse is awaiting trial which is set to go down in November, and for now, he is claiming self-defense.

Meanwhile, a new report from The Guardian has revealed that law enforcement officials have been donating to Rittenhouse. This information comes from Distributed Denial of Secrets which is a collective dedicated to transparency. One of the officers who donated to Rittenhouse is Sgt. William Kelly in Virginia who wrote “God bless. Thank you for your courage. Keep your head up. You’ve done nothing wrong.”

It was also revealed that the officer who shot Jacob Blake, Rusten Sheskey, also received a plethora of donations, this time from his colleagues. This information is yet another example of how the police abuse their power in the United States and that they are all for the use of guns, as long as it’s a white person who is doing it.

Rittenhouse’s story continues to develop, so stay tuned for any relevant updates as we will bring those to you.

Rich Homie Quan Hasn’t Spoken With Young Thug But Is Open To Working With Him

During the early- to mid-2010s, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug were poised to take over the music industry. Their respective Going In and I Came From Nothing mixtape series gaining massive praise and attention, their team-up on 2014’s Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1 became a modern rap classic. Unfortunately, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug‘s report quickly fell apart as a long-running beef led to the Atlanta artists distancing themselves from each other.

Nearly seven years after the release of Tha Tour, the Hip-Hop community would love to see Quan and Thug make amends and get back to collaborating on new music, so naturally, the artists get questioned regularly about the possibility of them patching things up. In a new virtual interview with The Shade Room, Rich Homie Quan tackled the issue and brought some clarity to his and Thug’s soured relationship.

During the interview, Quan reveals that he hasn’t talked to the YSL head honcho within the last few years despite running into him at various Atlanta spots over the years, but he still makes an effort to express excitement for Thug’s YSL compilation album Slime Language 2.

When asked by the Shade Room interviewers if he would ever be open to working with Young Thug again, Quan replies, “For sure. Why wouldn’t I?” The interviewers continue to press the issue of Quan and Thug’s seemingly unresolved beef, and eventually, Quan states, “I don’t really want to make this moment about that. Hopefully, we can mend it and get it to where it can be, but whatever the future holds, it holds. I’m open to it. Let’s put it like that.”

Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug have not collaborated since the Slime Season 2 track “Never Made Love” that released in 2015. Nearly six full years later, are you still interested in hearing the former Rich Gang collaborators reunite on wax?

Rolling Ray Trolls Coi Leray With “BIG PURR” Ripoff, Coi Leray Threatens Legal Action

Ever since the release of Coi Leray‘s Pooh Shiesty-featuring single “BIG PURR (Prrdd),” there has been tension between social media figure Rolling Ray and the “No More Parties” artist. Their spat comes down to the origin of “purr-prrr,” a phrase Coi Leray used throughout her latest single that Rolling Ray argues to have made popular.

Coi Leray eventually defended her use of “purr-prrr” in “BIG PURR (Prrdd),” saying, “First of all, I’m not big ‘purr.’ It’s not ‘purr.’ I’m big ‘prrr. It’s a difference. Stop playin’ with me..” Several weeks later, however, Rolling Ray apparently still has beef with Coi Leray because he has released an unauthorized version of the song on iTunes.

Surprisingly, Rolling Ray’s “BigPurrrr” is performing exceptionally well on the Top Hip-Hop/Rap Songs chart. At the time of writing, Rolling Ray’s “BIG PURR” ripoff sits at #48, four spots above Coi Leray’s single, which is resting at #52. In a petty post to Instagram, the social media figure wrote, “Top 50 but we aint number 50…i love yall like shitttttttt.”

As social media platforms like The Shade Room have picked up the story, it appears that Coi Leray has caught wind of Rolling Ray’s latest antics, and, understandably so, she doesn’t seem to be taking the situation lightly.

In a recent tweet, the Now or Never artist let of a minimal, but meaningful threat, saying, “I have an amazing lawyer, let’s play.”

Whether Rolling Ray will continue to push “BigPurrrr” or not is yet to be seen, so stay tuned as Coi Leray and Rolling Ray’s beef develops.

LUCKI Drops Off New Two Pack “Almost Woke”

LUCKI has been prolific in his own way, steadily building on his discography with a relatively consistent musical output. Today, that output expands with the release of his new two-pack drop Almost Woke, an EP that features a pair of tracks in “LifestyleBrazy” and “No Joke.” While closer to a single than an EP, what with a total runtime of four minutes, it’s a solid glimpse into the rapper’s current musical headspace.

Opener “LifestyleBrazy” finds LUCKI taking to a melancholic beat by Brent Rambo, who whips up a somber piano loop and some lo-fi percussion. Though he doesn’t stick around for too long, LUCKI makes the most of his time with a lengthy verse, his laid-back style blending effectively with the understated production. “Who this on my phone? Treat these hoes like 12, keep going over the limit, I’vе been buying pints from Zelle,” he raps. “Capped out for his imagе, label put him on the shelf / Lifestyle brazy, lifestyle pay me / Ain’t got shit to show, say he humble like he Jay-Z.”

Next up is “No Joke,” a more uptempo counterpart — though even LUCKI’s livelier drops are still relatively laid back. Over a spacey instrumental by Plu20 Nash, Lucki lets fly a quick flow as he flexes in his own unique way. “Ni*gas be like fuck Tunе like Gillie,” he raps. “Ni**as be fans of me, they envy / Get that emotion shit for my mama / I’m still a weirdo with a semi.”

Brief though it may be, it’s still a solid drop from LUCKI and a promising sign of things to come. Keep an eye out for his next move, whatever that may be.

The WRLDFMS Tony Williams Recruits Wale For “Everybody Knows”

The WRLDFMS Tony Williams is one of the most prolific vocalists of his time. Working closely with his cousin Kanye West on his debut album The College Dropout, as well as on the majority of Kanye’s other albums, the Oklahoma City-based singer has definitely earned his nickname. At this stage in his career, he’s known globally, traveling to all sorts of different countries and sharing his art with the world. He was also a major part of Kanye’s Sunday Service gatherings, singing as part of the choir.

He has a great collaborative history with rapper Wale, previously working together on the 2012 track “Blazin High.” They have officially teamed up again nearly ten years later for the new record “Everbody Knows,” a smooth joint that shows off both artists at their strongest points. Tony’s vocals are incredible, as always, and it’s a nice surprise to get a fresh verse from Wale.

Listen to the new single below and let us know what you think of it.

Migos Ready Up For “Culture 3” With Campfire Camaraderie

Third time’s the charm, and Migos are hoping that old idiom holds true with the release of their upcoming Culture 3While anticipated to some, others have turned their back on the once-beloved Atlanta trifecta, a shift that likely transpired during the great Migos saturation of 2018. Yet the Migos appear to have taken their time with this one, and early singles like “Need It” with YoungBoy Never Broke Again have set a promising tone.

Though we have yet to receive any proper news regarding a release date, all signs point to an imminent drop from Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff. In fact, a recent post from the crew seems to suggest exactly that. “Bout That Time To Bring The Heat,” captions Quavo, alongside a picture of the Migos boys engaging in a good old-fashioned bonfire. While you might not have pegged them as outdoorsmen, the marshmallow roasting technique certainly speaks to men who have, indeed, camped before.

Alas, there’s something to be said about that purgatorial period before an album rollout truly kicks off, during which phrases like “coming soon” are tossed around with little regard for our well being. In the case of Culture 3, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some genuine information surrounding the project’s release arriving in the weeks to come. Perhaps we’re even due for a proper single, as we know they’ve been shooting a video that found them heading back to the bando. Stay tuned for more information, as by Quavo’s estimation, the heat is on the way.

The question is, where are your expectations set for the final chapter of the Culture trilogy?
