DJ Mustard’s grievance with his personal shopper stealing tens of thousands of dollars from him has the public taking a look at the Kardashian’s past. Before they were known as one of the richest celebrity families, Kim Kardashian was a socialite looking for her “in” in the industry. She grew up with the rich and famous but didn’t acquire fame, herself, until much later. She’d linked with people like Paris Hilton and even worked as singer Brandy’s personal stylist. Hence, her infamous relationship with Ray J.

In 2008, PEOPLE reported that Kim, along with all of her Kardashian siblings, was hit with a lawsuit after Sonja Norwood, “momager” to Brandy and Ray J, alleged that they used her American Express card to rack up $120K worth of charges. The card was reportedly supposed to be used by Kim for Brandy, but the reality star stood accused of using the funds with her siblings, as well.

“I did not want to commence litigation against the Kardashian family without conducting an exhaustive investigation into the charges and discussing all options, including criminal prosecution, with my family,” Norwood told PEOPLE in 2008. “After Ray J and Brandy urged me not to file criminal charges because of their prior friendship, I decided to afford the Kardashians an opportunity to resolve this matter without a lawsuit.”

“When the fraudulent charges were brought to their attention, they apologized profusely, and advised us, through their attorneys, that they would pay the debt in full. However, they have since reneged on that promise.” Mama Norwood added that the “investigation has revealed that the Kardashians used their two stores and other stores that I have never visited to take advantage of me. I very much look forward to having the Kardashians account for their misconduct in a court of law.”

Jake Paul has been making waves in the world of boxing as of late and on Saturday, he will face his toughest test yet as he goes up against retired MMA fighter Ben Askren. As it stands, Paul is the slight favorite in the fight but with all of Askren’s experience, there seems to be a reasonable chance that he can knock Paul on his back for the first time in his boxing career.

The fight is set to take place at Mercedez Benz stadium in Atlanta and there are going to be some massive music guests. Mt. Westmore, a Super Group with Too $hort, E-40, Snoop Dogg, and Ice Cube will be performing, as well as Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, Diplo, and even the Black Keys.

As for the fight itself, you will be able to tune into the broadcast as of 9 PM EST through Fite.TV. The event is being put on by Thriller Fight Club, which means you will also hear Snoop doing some commentary alongside names like Pete Davidson. This is an event that contains quite a bit of novelty due to the celebrity component although it should still be a ton of fun.

COVID-19 is a virus that continues to spread at a rapid rate all across the world and the United States remains one of the hardest-hit countries. Millions have died and millions more have tested positive for the virus, which has led to an almost uncontrollable spread. Now, there are four vaccines out on the market right now and the U.S. is well on its way to having everyone vaccinated, as long as you are willing to get it, that is.

There are still many people out there who are skeptical about the vaccine, as some believe it was made too quickly and that there is a risk that some people could face long-term side effects. Meanwhile, there are some in the black community who do not trust the vaccine as there have been historical instances of the healthcare system discriminating against people of color.

As a way to get some clarity on the situation, Marshawn Lynch sat down with Dr. Anthony Fauci for a lengthy interview about all things related to the vaccine. In the clip below, Lynch asks Fauci a series of tough questions about the vaccine’s efficacy and whether or not it is going to have long-term health consequences that could lower his life expectancy.

In the end, Dr. Fauci did everything he could to curb Lynch’s concerns, and by the end of the interview, Lynch seemed convinced that the vaccine was right for him.

Fans are saddened to hear that Melii may be pulling the plug on her music career. The buzzing artist has been a favorite in both R&B and Hip Hop circles as she’s partnered with some heavy-hitters during her time in the industry, but she hasn’t been happy. There were rumors of discontent when she previously announced that she wouldn’t be releasing music in 2020, but she did recently resurface.

Melii was featured alongside Lil Wayne on Tory Lanez’s “Big Tipper,” and although fans praised her performance, what Melii has been experiencing in the industry has caused her to take a step back and reevaluate if a music career is something that she truly wants.

“The real reason I haven’t released music is because behind the scenes legally things have been going on but I decided as of today to give up all my rights to my music,” Melii wrote. “I no longer want to continue doing music off of the strength that in this business you can’t really trust.” She continued her thoughts in several additional tweets.

“I apologize to my fans but i don’t care to do music when it’s in other ppl hands and greed is the main reason,” she added. “Aside from just legal stuff, I haven’t been myself not in this industry or environment. You never know peoples real intentions with you and I say this to say Do what you love but when it becomes draining , gets u paranoid , u don’t feel ur self anymore and or start can’t figure out who is really on ur side just take the high road . There’s no need to live in a constant battle and being unsure of who is who.”

Melii reiterated that she doesn’t trust anyone in the industry. “Ima leave off with saying that music was something that brung happiness to me and I rather keep that tiny bit of happiness that’s left to myself.” She later clarified that this has nothing to do with her current team or Interscope. Jake Paul and Ben Askren will be fighting against each other on Saturday through Triller and fans are torn as to who they believe is going to win. Of course, Askren is coming into this fight having lost his last match in the UFC, all while Jake Paul is 3-0 in his boxing career. While Askren might be the more experienced fighter, one could argue that Paul is the better technical boxer, which is certainly going to make this an entertaining match to observe, whether you’re a fan of these guys or not.

Today, the weigh-in for the fight was held and as you can imagine, Paul decided to bring a heavy dose of antics to the occasion. In fact, he brought a robot with him and the resemblance to himself is fairly obvious.

Based on the video below, it looks more like someone in a costume than an actual robot, however, the effect still remains the same. Paul has proven himself to be a showman and this is something that extends to all facets of his being, whether it be his music, his YouTube channel, or now, boxing.

Whether or not any of this works out for him come Saturday, remains to be seen. If there is one thing for certain though, it is that there are various people out there who are wishing he fails.
