Beachgoer Finds 65 Pounds, $1.5 Mill Worth Of Cocaine Washed Ashore: Reports

Florida has been teased for being the state that produces the most outrageous headlines, and this one is no different. In September 2019, the Coast Guard reportedly seized 12,000 pounds of cocaine in Miami as they intercepted drug smugglers. In August 2020, Miami was once again under the spotlight after packages of cocaine were found washed ashore on the beach. Today (April 27), the Miami Herald reports that South Florida is once again facing another incident of the drug finding a home on a beach, this time in Palm Beach County.

According to the outlet, 65 pounds of cocaine, an estimated $1.5 million worth in street value, was found by a beachgoer on April 23 who was just walking along the shore.

“The drugs were discovered washed-up along the shoreline by a Good Samaritan near Ocean Drive,” U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agent Adam Hoffner said. “The Good Samaritan notified local law enforcement in Palm Beach.” The “bundle” found on the beach reportedly contained 25 smaller packages.

Just last month, a similar find was located in Florida, but it was a “70-pound bale” that included “25 wrapped packages.” The well-known drug trade in South Florida has been documented for decades and the location was an even busier port for smugglers throughout the late 1970s into the 1980s. Floyd Mayweather Confirms Logan Paul Fight Date In Miami

When we reported on the new date of Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul‘s bout last week, it was speculative. Now, thanks to an Instagram post made by Mayweather, it has been confirmed that these two will face off in Miami in just a little over a month. Just recently, we witnessed Jake Paul take out Ben Askren in a surprising first-round knockout, and it’s his brother’s turn to put his money where his mouth is.

“JUNE 6, 2021!!!! #MIAMI,” Mayweather wrote in the official announcement. “Me and Logan Paul will be fighting at the Hardrock Stadium.”

He continued, “@mayweatherpromotions @fanmio and @showtimeboxing have come together to bring an epic Event!!! Tickets will be going on sale next week.” Mayweather also included several hashtags, including one that read “Bragging Rights,” so if you thought you’d heard enough trash talk, get ready to hear much more.

Mayweather’s bodyguard, Greg TMT, took to his boss’s comment section with a lengthy description of Floyd’s in-ring accomplishments. “It’s time to get busy!! [fire emoji] Set up funeral arrangements for This kid cause he’s about to understand what world he just entered!! [skull emoji].” This is shaping up to be one of the biggest fights of the year and after all of the back and forths that have gone on on social media over the last few months, it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Of course, Mayweather also plans on taking on Jake Paul, as well. No details on the purses for the Logan fight, but that should be revealed in due time. How do you think the Mayweather vs. Paul fight will go down?

Trey Songz Won’t Face Charges For Fighting With A Police Officer At An NFL Game

Back in January, the sports world watched the Kansas City Chiefs make their way to a second consecutive Super Bowl after beating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game. It was during this game that Trey Songz was arrested for fighting with a police officer. The incident was captured on video, which quickly made its rounds on social media. Months later, Kansas’ Jackson County prosector’s office revealed that they will not press charges against the singer for the fight.

According to Billboard, Mike Mansur, a spokesperson for the prosector’s office, said there was “insufficient evidence” to bring charges against Trey. The fight led to Trey spending a night in jail after a statement from police said attendees at the game complained about a man who was not following COVID-19 protocols and other rules, including being disruptive, intoxicated, or using obscene language. It later says that the individual punched and placed an officer in a headlock when he was asked to leave, and while the statement did not identify the man as Trey, both parties delivered a punch and a headlock.

That claim goes against a witness’ account that was shared with TMZ after his arrest. They told the publication that the fight began when fans heckled Trey and he told them to stop. It was here that an officer approached and, without warning, grabbed him which caused the singer to fight back.

Trey Songz is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Ceaser Emanuel Teases Ex-Friend & “Black Ink Crew” Star Walt With “Crack” Meme

It’s unfortunate when longstanding friendships come to an end, but it’s even more devastating when it occurs on national television. Ceaser Emanuel was already a businessman as the owner of his New York City tattoo shop, but starring on VH1’s Black Ink Crew has helped him become a mogul. He’s planted several other stores around the country and continues to showcase his talents, as well as drama, for reality TV cameras, but it was the recent unraveling of his friendship with Walter Miller that stole attention.

Ceaser told Distractify that it “broke my heart” to learn that Walt was allegedly behind the break-in at his 125th shop. “I never thought Walt would do that to me… It cut deep because it’s not no TV sh*t,” said Ceaser.

The situation is detailed in the new season of the series where Walt attempted to explain himself. On the show, Puma confronts Walt and tells him it looks like him in the surveillance video, but Walt denies having anything to do with the robbery. “Let me tell you something, Puma, I’m not gonna lie,” said Walt. “I did some dumb sh*t by trying to alter pricing on a tattoo and short the shop, expecting to cover it up before it came out. But, unfortunately, the break-in happened and then everything just spilled out.”

Puma added that in the video, the person committing the break-in knew where everything was and even walked like Walt. Still, Walt was unmoved and Puma didn’t believe him. Ceaser shared a clip from Morgan Freeman’s 1989 film Lean on Me where he plays a tough high school principal, and in the video, he was yelling at a troubled student. “You smoke crack don’t cha!?” Freeman’s character is seen with the label as “Puma,” while the tearful student was dubbed “Walt.”

Check out the conversation between Puma and Walt below, as well as Ceaser’s meme and his announcement that Walt is out of the Black Ink Crew family.

Lion Babe Catch A Vibe On “Frida Kahlo”

The groovy, jiggy sounds of Lion Babe are necessary for the summer, especially if we’re about to be outside. Thankfully, they will be delivering soon. Following a slew of covers throughout 2020, and a few remixes to kick off the year, the duo is returning with a brand new project titled, Rainbow Child. This week, they brought a bright, summery anthem to the fold with their new single, “Frida Kahlo” which serves as the first single from Rainbow Child.

“It’s been two years since our last baby,” they said in a statement. “The wind carried a new world. New fear arrived, and old ways subsided. So we built a rainbow to carry us over. Now it is time to color in all of the darkness. To dance in the rain. Art always follows pain, but our love never wanes.”

Check the song below.

Quotable Lyrics
I’m like Frida Kahlo, a muse through the view
I’m like Friday Kahlo, I pain through the blues
Art is not the same, I give you a mood
Get a lot of love, I can’t pick and choose
