The Game Wonders What Kanye West & Elon Musk Text About

It isn’t a secret that Kanye West and Elon Musk are pretty close friends. While it isn’t clear how often they speak to one another, they have posed for pictures together on more than a few occasions. Most recently, they met up in California at one of their homes and playfully matched their outfits, which Kanye pointed out in his tweet.

With Kanye’s presidential aspirations angling him for another possible run in 2024, rapper The Game is wondering whether Elon Musk could end up helping Kanye in his mission to become one of the most powerful people on the planet. He tweeted during his smoke session last night, theorizing on what sort of text message conversations Kanye and Elon share, joking that he thinks Kanye might secure a rocket from his buddy.

“I’m high af but I was just thinkin, this n***a Kanye could text Elon Musk & borrow a rocket,” tweeted Game with a “#DREAMBIG” hashtag. While it would be pretty difficult to borrow an entire rocket from Elon Musk, it wouldn’t be entirely farfetched to one day see this joke come to fruition.

Recently, Elon spoke about space travel, matter-of-factly saying that “a bunch of people will probably die” traveling to Mars as it becomes more available to consumers.

Do you think Kanye might scoop a rocket from Elon Musk one day?

“Joe Budden Podcast” Co-Hosts Rory & Mal Return

At the end of March, The Joe Budden Podcast underwent a substantial shake-up following the departures of longtime co-hosts Rory and Mal. While Budden himself appeared optimistic that the pair would return in time, that didn’t stop many from speculating on the nature of the split, with some fearing that they were witnessing the end of an era.

Evidently, such fears have proven unfounded. As of today’s brand new episode of the JBP, titled “Shaking The Tree,” Rory and Mal have indeed returned to their formerly held positions. Unsurprisingly, the situation is addressed throughout the three-hour-plus episode. “Me, Mal, and Joe met last week,” reveals Rory. “There was a lot of grown man feelings, it was a little uncomfortable. It was a lot of feelings for three grown-ass men in a living room.”

“When we had a conversation at Joe’s house, it was like, the business is the business,” explains Mal, around the twenty-minute mark. “We can fix that, or we can’t. But as long as respect is still in play, me personally, I feel like anything can be solved…That was part of the conversation Joe and I had when I left. I felt like there wasn’t any respect. So let me remove myself, cause I don’t know what this is anymore. I don’t know if I’m talking to my n***a or a n***a I just met. The more important thing as men is to sit down and get your feelings out.”

“We didn’t behave [as friends],” adds Joe, sparking further discussion on how unresolved tension could have ultimately derailed the podcast entirely. While there’s certainly a lot to unpack — after all, “Shaking The Tree” clocks in at staggering three hours plus — fans of the show would be wise to dive into this one, as there’s clearly a lot of ground to cover. From the sound of it, Rory, Mal, and Joe appear to have sorted through some of their more pressing issues, and it seems as if the Podcast will continue moving forward with the original lineup.

Check out their triumphant return below.

TDE Drops Mystery Release Date: “The Wait Is Ova!”

It’s been a long time, but it would appear that Top Dawg Entertainment is officially ready to launch its 2021 campaign. And in keeping with tradition, the esteemed label has once again opted to retain an air of mystery, an occasionally frustrating tactic that admittedly works wonders in captivating the masses.

Moments ago, Top Dawg came through with a hype-inducing Instagram announcement, pointing to a May 7th, 2021 release date. “THE WAIT IS OVAH!!!!!!” he declares, alongside a steadily increasing loading bar. Unfortunately, that’s about all he opted to share, opening the floor for further speculation as to who might be dropping.

Given that Reason single-handedly carried the label’s momentum on his back last year, it’s fair to assume that he’ll be sitting this one out. Kendrick Lamar certainly feels due, but one has to wonder if his rollout would begin in such fashion, given how personalized previous rollouts have been for the creative auteur. Still, that didn’t stop the masses from flooding the comments with hopeful cries of “KENDRICK?” as if the simple invocation of his name would be enough to manifest his presence.

SZA also feels like a possibility, given that she’s been relatively quiet since dropping CTRL in 2017. It’s also been a while since we’ve seen new releases from Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad, both of whom have been perpetually working on new music for some time now. Last we heard, ScHoolboy Q was in the process of alternating between studio sessions and Call Of Duty, so it’s unlikely he’s next rock. Jay Rock is certainly a possibility, though his Redemption album is among the more recent TDE projects — which certainly says something about the label’s pace.

No matter how you spin it, it’s still exciting to see TDE returning to their rightful place in the game. We look forward to seeing what the label has in store, so keep an eye out for more developments on this mysterious new project. Who do you think is dropping on May 7th?

Travis Scott Unleashes Massive Merch Collection Ahead Of “British Khaki” Jordan 6 Drop

Travis Scott turns 29 years old this Friday, and in honor of his birthday, the Astroworld emcee and bonafide businessman is finally dropping his next highly anticipated Jordan brand collaboration: the Air Jordan 6 “British Khaki.” Set to release on Friday, April 30 on Nike’s SNKRS app via draw, the latest colorway in Travis’ stash pocket-adorned Jordan 6 model will definitely be one of the most talked-about sneaker releases on Friday morning.

Leading up to the release of the highly coveted sneakers, Travis Scott decided to drop some merch, and the massive collection features everything from a raffle for the “British Khaki” Jordan 6s and tees to rugs and packing tape.

According to Complex, Travis Scott‘s “Crossover Collection” is inspired by the world of motorsports, and its wide array of items — including pullover hoodies, rugby sweaters, windbreakers, bucket hats, a canvas backpack, gloves, shorts, sweat pants, and much more — is presented in a dark brown colorway with “Cactus Cross” branding as well as pops of red and green throughout.

Initially, fans were also able to sign up to be notified about the raffle for his Air Jordan 6 Retro sneakers, but with the shoes currently deemed “sold out” on Travis‘ website, fans hoping to secure the limited sneakers will have to try their luck on the Nike SNKRS app on the official release day.

In true Travis Scott fashion, expect all of the items in the Crossover Collection to be shipped out in a matter of 5 to 12 weeks, and of course, good luck on the Air Jordan 6 “British Khaki” drop on April 30.

Roddy Ricch, Lil Wayne, & Birdman Spotted Filming Video For Unreleased Song

Four months into 2021, the Hip-Hop community is still waiting with bated breath for some of the biggest album releases of the year. Long-awaited records like Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, Migos’ Culture III, and Roddy Ricch’s follow-up to 2019’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial don’t appear to be any closer than they were when the artists first started teasing them, and over the past week, Lil Wayne has added his name to the list with the announcement that his next studio album, titled I Am Not A Human Being III, would be arriving soon as well.

As fans eagerly await the arrival of any of those highly anticipated projects, newly surfaced footage of Roddy Ricch and Lil Wayne filming a music video now gives them a taste of what’s to potentially come next from either of those camps.

As seen above, the footage was shared by Lil Wayne HQ, a blog dedicated to all things Lil Wayne-related, and in the brief clip, viewers can see Roddy Ricch, Lil Wayne, Birdman, and rising rapper Reese Youngn all shooting a music video on a boat filled with models wearing swimsuits.

The unreleased song plays in the background, but due to the overall quality of the footage, you can’t hear it too well. According to HipHop-N-More, it hasn’t been confirmed whether the song and the music video will be housed on Lil Wayne’s forthcoming project or Roddy Ricch’s, and although Birdman is present for the filming of the video, it’s quite possible that he’s solely making a cameo.

Stay tuned for more updates, and hopefully, we’ll all be able to see the final result from this behind-the-scenes footage soon. In other news, DJ Khaled’s forthcoming studio album Khaled Khaled, which both Roddy and Wayne are rumored to appear on, arrives this Friday, so at least we’ll be able to hear new music from the two beloved rap stars this weekend.

CDC Says Fully Vaccinated Americans Don’t Need To Wear A Mask Outside

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on Tuesday that fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear a protective mask outdoors. Previously, Americans were instructed that masks should be worn outside to slow the spread of the virus. With vaccine distribution proving to be effective in the States, people who have received all of their vaccine doses will now be able to attend small outdoor gatherings, including with friends from multiple households, without a mask.

Unvaccinated people, and people who have only received one dose of the vaccine, are encouraged to continue wearing a mask outdoors to protect themselves and others.

“If you are fully vaccinated and want to attend a small outdoor gathering with people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, or dine at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households, the science shows if you are vaccinated, you can do so safely unmasked,” said CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky during a White House briefing.

Despite this marking an important change for people’s quality of life in America, fully vaccinated people are still being warned about the threat of large indoor gatherings. People are still being advised against gathering indoors with people from other households. However, if you choose to attend a large gathering indoors, which may seem tempting to you because of how many artists are announcing upcoming tours, you are encouraged to wear a mask even if you’re fully vaccinated.

If you’re unclear on what sort of activities require a mask, check out the chart below.

JAY-Z Invests In Fitness Company LIT Method

When it comes to business acumen, JAY-Z has become the benchmark to which many rappers aspire to one day reach. Currently holding it down as one of hip-hop’s few billionaires, Hov continues to expand his substantial portfolio, which recently brought cannabis brand MONOGRAM into the fold. Today, a new report indicates that the legendary rapper’s Marcy Venture Partners has invested in Los Angeles-based fitness company LIT Method.

LIT Method, founded by Justin and Taylor Norris, is largely known for the LIT Strength Machine, an “all in one design that offers 500+ low-impact exercises including strength training, rowing, cardio, barre, physical therapy, and Pilates.”

A statement from Marcy Venture Partners’ co-founder Larry Marcus explained the firm’s decision to connect with LIT Method in a statement. “Justin and Taylor are tenacious and adaptive entrepreneurs with so much drive and passion,” he explains. “Their engaging content, motivating style, and innovative equipment are a winning combination.” In addition to MVP, former Los Angeles Dodger slash MLB All-Star Adrian Gonzalez also invested in LIT Method.

As of now, the financial details have not been disclosed. Regardless, it’s another savvy move from JAY-Z, who recently sealed a substantial partnership deal with Moët Hennessy that netted HOV up a reported $315 million, as per an estimate by Forbes. Having now set his sights on the fitness industry, following in the footsteps of his wife Beyoncé (who recently inked her own deal with Peloton), it’s certainly exciting to speculate on where JAY-Z and the Marcy Venture Partners will go next.
