Pete Davidson Details Phone Call With Eminem

Easily one of the biggest celebrities of all time, Eminem is about as elusive as they come. As such, a sighting of the legendary emcee feels like a noteworthy event, as he seldom does public appearances or press. Yet every so often, Slim does emerge to pay it forward, offering a co-sign or showing gratitude for a homage well-paid. Such was the case following Pete Davidson’s recent Em-inspired SNL skits, which found the comedically inclined actor channeling Eminem with respectable accuracy.

So much so that Pete’s portrayal of “Stu” in a “Stan” parody, not to mention his “Without Me” inspired NFT tutorial, earned Davidson a phone call from Em himself. He confirmed as much during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Myers, where he detailed the nature of the amusingly brief conversation.

“I think it went as good as it can go,” reflects Davidson. “[The skits] were written by the great Dan Bulla and Steven Castillo, great SNL writers. Eminem said a couple of nice things about me, and I of course heard them. So I reached out to say thank you, and hit him up.” He proceeds to slip into an Em impression. “He was like, yeah man, you really did that. When I saw Stu on script, I didn’t know how it was gonna go. But after you did that, you was fire.”

“I was like, thank you so much, you’re the coolest,” gushes Davidson. “And then I just hung up as quick as possible. That’s all you need. You don’t want anything more…Get out as soon as you can. It’s like the stock market.”

2 Chainz & Bella Thorne Marvel At Each Other’s Iced-Out Jewelry

2 Chainz has been hard at work with Lil Wayne to put the final touches on their anticipated forthcoming joint album ColleGrove 2, but that hasn’t stopped the veteran Atlanta artist from having some fun along the way. The So Help Me God! rapper recently joked about Nas’ appearance in the Calvin Kelin summer 2021 campaign and even bought a bootleg copy of his own album from a gas station, and now, recent footage from DJ Akademiks shows that 2 Chainz has also recently linked up with actress Bella Thorne.

While it’s probably one of the most unexpected link-ups so far this year, 2 Chainz and the recently engaged Bella Thorne seem to bond over their mutual love for flashy wrist pieces. In the video below, 2 Chainz and Bella Thorne are seen hanging out at a party and marveling at each other’s iced-out jewelry, and later in the video, the two celebrities proclaim that they’re simply putting on for the “diamond gang.”

At the start of the video, viewers can see 2 Chainz and Thorne comparing their expensive watches and bracelets, and once the former Shake It Up star spots 2 Chainz’ rings, she really loses her mind. The video then transitions to another clip in which F.L.Y’s iconic song “Swag Surfin'” plays in the background. Bella Thorne is seen smoking as 2 Chainz brings the camera in her direction.

After sharing their mutual affinity for the “diamond gang,” Thorne then breaks off into a rant about investing and reselling jewelry, and 2 Chainz merely laughs and nods as she’s talking before finally saying, “You heard what she saying. I ain’t selling sh*t though.”

The quirky meet-up is definitely not one that most 2 Chainz fans would probably expect, but it’s pretty amusing nevertheless. Who do you think was rocking the better jewelry — 2 Chainz or Bella Thorne?

Yungeen Ace Responds After 6ix9ine Exposes Him For Allegedly Attending His Show

Tekashi 6ix9ine has been boasting ever since his performance last weekend in front of 15,000 people at Trillerfest in Miami, Florida. The rapper celebrated during a live stream with his close friend DJ Akademiks, during which he revealed his surprising pick for the current most disrespectful rapper— aside from himself, of course. On the same call, 6ix9ine seemingly tried to start a feud with one of Florida’s most recognized rappers, the equally ill-mannered Yungeen Ace.

Known for his ridiculously flagrant rhymes on the viral record “Who I Smoke” with Spinabenz and a couple of other Florida rappers, Yungeen Ace is currently fighting back against claims made by 6ix9ine during his stream with DJ Akademiks. 6ix9ine told his friend (and thousands of people live-commenting) that Yungeen Ace was actually backstage at his show, claiming that the rapper did not do anything to him when they crossed paths.

“You wanna know something about Yungeen Ace? Yungeen Ace was at my show yesterday,” said Tekashi on the call, which was screen-recorded and uploaded to Instagram. DJ Akademiks seemingly disregarded the comment and jumped right to the viral video of a man threatening to smack 6ix9ine before he jumped into the crowd, but Tekashi wanted to chat more about Yungeen Ace. “F*ck all that. Yungeen Ace was at my show yesterday,” he said again. “F*ck all of the things that we talking about. Street rappers were at my show yesterday. If they want the static, I was there. He was at the show. He was backstage, he seen me, everything.”

Not wanting to be associated with 6ix9ine in this way, Yungeen Ace quickly jumped back by claiming the rapper was lying on his name. “Mannn dis n***a So Cap bra [laughing emojis] wdf,” he wrote on Instagram.

While Ace might be trying to disassociate from the situation, DJ Akademiks is egging it on, sharing evidence that the rapper was present at Trillerfest at the same time as 6ix9ine. The blogger posted pictures of Yungeen Ace at the show, but they don’t prove that he crossed paths with 6ix9ine.

What do you think about this situation?

Justin Bieber’s Dreads Are The Center Of The Attention In 21 Savage’s New Post

Last week, DJ Khaled finally unleashed his long-awaited album Khaled Khaled, and despite lukewarm reception to the We The Best artist’s latest release, it is reportedly slated to debut at the top spot on the Billboard 200 and move anywhere between 80K to 100K album-equivalent units. As DJ Khaled continues to promote his 12th studio album, fans have been treated to stunning music videos for Khaled Khaled standout cuts like “SORRY NOT SORRY,” “THANKFUL,” and “EVERY CHANCE I GET.”

Within the past 24 hours, DJ Khaled has already started teasing another music video from Khaled Khaled, and it appears that the 21 Savage and Justin Bieber-assisted cut “LET IT GO” is up next. On his Instagram, Khaled has stated that the “LET IT GO” video is “in the editing room,” and 21 Savage has joined Khaled in promoting the forthcoming visuals as well by posting a picture of him alongside the veteran record producer and his recent collaborator, Justin Bieber.

Rather than simply getting excited for the “LET IT GO” music video, however, several fans have reacted to 21 Savage’s new post by taking the opportunity to once again roast Justin Bieber’s polarizing new dreadlocks. With roasts ranging from “JB looking like a homeless woman” to “you gotta talk to justin bout his hair,” there are plenty of jokes currently filling up 21 Savage’s comment section.

Check out some of their reactions below.

Trippie Redd Calls Lil Uzi Vert & Playboi Carti “GOATS From Our Era”

Another rapper has dropped off his Top 5 list and debates have once again ensued. By now, you know that anytime someone lists their Top 5 favorite rappers of all time the Hip Hop world gets into a tizzy about who are the GOATs or who belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Rap. Recently, Trippie Redd caught up with XXL for an interview and was asked to name his Top 5, and his list was filled with familiar names

“Aight, Wayne, Drake… I’mma just say everything I really listen to. Like, the most music I’ve ever listened to from an artist,” Trippie began.

“These gotta be my favorites because I clearly listen to them more than everybody else. So, Wayne, Drake, I gotta put André [3000] in there. [Lil] Uzi [Vert] and [Playboi] Carti. I listen to they sh*t a lot,” he continued. Then, he explained Uzi and Carti’s influence during the mid-2010 era of Rap.

Listening to Uzi’s sh*t back in 2015-16, that sh*t was different. And Carti, at that time. They was on some other sh*t for the young n*ggas,” said Trippie. “They did some crazy sh*t for us. They really opened doors for us to do a lot of sh*t that we do. You know, the n*ggas from the SoundCloud era might not say it too much, but definitely, they some of the G.O.A.T.s from our era.”

Do you agree that Carti & Uzi should be considered GOATS?

“I ain’t never f*cked with it,” said Trae. Everyone was surprised to hear that and asked if his choice of sobriety was due to a bad experience. “So, you know, coming from where we came from in the streets, a lotta people go through the reality. Whether it be the struggle, stress, and you gotta realize, sometimes them getting high or sippin’ put ’em at ease for the moment.”

“I’m one of the people, I’d rather just go head up with whatever it is I’m feeling ’cause at that moment, it can’t get no worse than that” he added. “So, I just always said I wouldn’t ’cause sh*t, I don’t need to—me personally, one, I like to go against the grain. I like to opposite of what everybody else doing. Two, at the end of the day, no matter what I did, once it wear off, I still gotta face that sh*t. So, I just might as well go on.”

“I’m that way with everything, so like when I got shot, after the first three, four days of being on pain meds, I’m like, ‘I’mma try and see if I can make it through the night without it.” Watch Trae Tha Truth explain his sobriety choices below.
