Lakers Lose To Suns After Anthony Davis Leaves Game With Groin Strain

The Los Angeles Lakers were beaten by the Phoenix Suns on Sunday after superstar Anthony Davis suffered yet another injury. The big man strained his groin in the final minutes of the second quarter while trying to get a bucket.

Lakers coach Frank Vogel stated after the game that Davis is undergoing additional evaluation and that, “we’ll have more information tomorrow.” He continued on to state, “You know, he’s one of the best players in the world, so you have to adjust. “And I thought we gave great effort trying to overcome that loss, but it certainly wasn’t enough.” The Lakers went down 100-92, with the series now tied heading back to Phoenix. Game 5 is on Tuesday.

The Lakers were also missing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, an integral part of their defense. However, if Davis has to miss significant time it will severely hurt the Lakers’ chances of repeating. Davis had a bad Game 1 before bouncing back and averaging 34 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2 blocks in Games 2 and 3. Kyle Kuzma started the third quarter in place of Davis, and ended the game with 11 points on 4-for-11 shooting. It will take all of the Lakers’ might to overcome the #2 seeded Sun, who recently got a healthy Chris Paul back into shape.

50 Cent Calls Out “Weirdo” For Pretending To Work With Branson Cognac

50 Cent isn’t the man to mess with on social media. The world-renowned rapper is also an infamous troll who bullies and pokes at everybody he can. The mogul just can’t help himself. But it appears that another troll has gotten the upper hand on Fif’, well, at least for a short moment of time. The G-Unit leader took to Instagram to call out an impersonator who has been acting as if he works with 50’s cognac company, Branson.

“This guy is a whole fraud, he does not work for Branson or have anything to do with my brands and is going around taking meeting with club owner’s @quadirkenneysam you are a fucking weirdo,” wrote Fif’ on Instagram to accompany a post showing the imposter’s profile.

Quadir has been posting Branson to his profile heavy, while also using screenshots from 50’s page. Fif’ and Quadir met back in 2019, Quadir posted a photo of him and the rapper on IG, stating, “U KNOW THE VIBES NOTHING R E A L can be threaten.” The two probably just met at this meet and greet, and never again.

It is unclear what Quadir is trying to accomplish here, but incurring the wrath of 50 Cent is not a wise choice.

“A Quiet Place 2” Leads Box Office With $58 Million Debut

The pandemic shut down the movie industry, but it’s coming back in full swing. The first sign of significant life at the box office was Godzilla VS Kong, which scored a pandemic-breaking opening weekend. That record has now been broken as well, by A Quiet Place IIThe horror film took the box office by storm this weekend, racking up $48 million. The sequel is expected to amass $58 million by Memorial Day. The first film scored a $50 million opening, so the sequel is on track to outdo it, all without things being fully reopened.

“This is an outstanding opening,” stated David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research. “[It’s] well above average for a horror sequel.” Gross believes that A Quiet Place Part II could have debuted to $60 million if all theaters were open. “Still,” Gross stated, “this movie is going to make a lot of money and bring enormous value to streaming.”

A Quiet Place II will debut on Paramount Plus in 45 days. The new streaming service is aiming to compete with the likes of Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and HBO Max. Disney’s Cruella is also doing well, especially for a film that can be watched at home for $30 on their streaming service. The origin story for the famous villain brought in $37.4 million globally, which is expected to hit $42.6 million through Memorial Day.

Joe Budden Says Rory & Mal Were “Unhappy For A Long Time” & Wishes Them Well

Joe Budden’s fallout with Rory and Mal has been well documented and discussed. Many, such as Charlamagne tha God and Kevin Hart, believe that Budden self-sabotaged himself and showed bad leadership skills. The bad blood doesn’t seem to be at the point of malice anymore, and Rory and Mal did a hilarious skit highlighting some of the issues they felt revolved around the whole situation.

Hindsight can be 20/20, and Budden is really trying to be positive after admitting his mistakes. On Saturday’s episode of Budden’s podcast, he glorified Rory and Mal. “I’ma just say it, I don’t even care,” he stated around the 26-minute point. “I’m happy for Rory and Mal. I don’t want to stay on them, but I’m only bringing it up because of what y’all just said about [Lil] Wayne. When you get your business together, how it could revitalize you.”

Budden continued, “When I was watching it, the video, and I’ma say it, ‘Oh man, these guys were unhappy here for a long time.’ I’m happy. I want them to do it. Take control. Go, go, go, go. I love that shit.” Budden, of course, is responding to the aforementioned sketch released by Rory and Mal.

Chantaé Vetrice Aims To Take You Higher With New Single “Elevated”

There’s two things that will always go together like peanut butter and jelly, and in this case we’re talking about fine weed and even finer woman. Add some good music to the mix and you certainly have a party on your hands, which is exactly the kind of mind frame you’ll be in after taking a listen to the uptempo new single by rising female rapper Chantaé Vetrice.

The purple-haired vixen comes through with peak levels of seduction on “Elevated,” a song that speak to the joys of, well, getting elevated by way of marijuana. She even takes advantage of the new legalization laws in New York City for the song’s official music video, having a ball while blazing it up in big time throughout the Big Apple.

The song and accompanying video dropped just in time for 4/20, and has since been building traction on the underground with many people feeling her free-natured spirit and willingness to be a proud, sexually-charged woman who also likes to partake in puffing the magic dragon every now and again. All we can say is that she looks amazing while doing it, and we hope to see more of her in the game — the purple swag steez will easily work wonders for the budding femcee as we move into hotter months ahead! Above all else, you can never have enough beautiful women in the hip-hop world, right?

Take a listen to “Elevated” by Chantaé Vetrice below, and let us know if you’re feeling the song down below in the comments sections as per usual. All opinions, trolls and incels alike, are always welcomed:

Quotable Lyrics:

I’m liking the flow
I’m feeling the most
I’m feeling the glow
Pass one mo’
The world is gone
On that bullsh*t?
On some f*ck-sh*t?
Yeah, that’s why I elevate on them b*tches

Medhane Keeps It Short-Yet-Soulful On New EP “Amethyst Of Morning”

For many, the sexual assault allegations that plagued Brooklyn rapper Medhane last year made room to completely cancel the rising lyricist. That may still be the case for a lot of our readers out there, but the New York emcee recently dropped off a new album titled Amethyst Of Morning for those who believe in not passing judgement until all the details are laid out. Or, you know, for those that simply like chill beats.

The album’s release doesn’t come without its apprehension, with the BK-bred rapper tweeting out not too long ago, “This time last year i was anxious af everyday smoking bare weed getting bent all the time now i’m wild sober and i don’t be anxious like that at all anymore” [sic]. =It’s not exactly clear whether or not that change of heart is reflective of his pending exoneration in the case — he also retweeted a note recently that read, “i’ve seen people apologize in private after doing the damage in public…” — but what can be said is that Amethyst Of Morning is an impressive body of work that would be a shame to have to ignore if the allegations do end up being true. Of course, we advise you all to do your research first before making any premature decisions and/or commentary.

We try to stay as unbiased as we can here at HNHH, so we’ll leave the music here and let you all make the decision for yourselves. As always, let us know some of your thoughts about the music down below in the comments. Also, if you can keep it civil, sound off about anything else dealing with Medhane down there as well — all opinions welcomed:

Tessica “Gorilla Glue Girl” Brown Sends Cease & Desist Over Viral “Bad Idea” Song

Tessica Brown climbed to fame back in February of this year after using Gorilla Glue adhesive spray in her hair when she ran out of regular hair spray. Thousands of dollars and a visit to a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon later, she was able to make a full recovery with minimal damage to her hair.

Achieving viral fame after documenting the ordeal on TikTok, social media virality almost always comes with a downside. For Brown, it’s causing her to have another viral moment–this time without her permission. According to TMZ, she and her attorneys have fired off numerous cease and desist letters to numerous entities over a song using her likeness without her consent.

Her attorney Jeffrey R. Klein sent off the letters to different individuals and organizations over the recently viral song “Bad Idea.” The song in question uses audio of her voice from her infamous Gorilla Glue TikTok that skyrocketed her into fame in the first place and mixes it, creating a catchy tune.

The “remix” was promptly taken off social media, including TikTok, IG Reels, and streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify. They al seem to be uploaded by an unknown user named “Cocoa Brown” who shared the track and prompted it to spread like wildfire.

Tessica and her team are unamused with the stunt despite its popularity, namely because she had no part in making the track nor is she making any revenue from its success. She claims the stunt is simply old-fashioned copyright infringement, using her voice and likeness without her permission.

The letter to Cocoa obtained by TMZ reads firmly, “To the extent it becomes necessary, Tessica intends to seek the recovery of all penalties, statutory damages and punitive damages for such knowing infringement as applicable.”

The tune is catchy, catching on with the likes of Damon Wayans Jr.’s daughter Aniya Wayans and Cardi B’s toddler Kulture. We’ll keep you updated on if Cocoa and others will bend to her legal demands.
