Coi Leray Channels Nicki Minaj For Verse Price Flex

Coi Leray may be a relative newcomer to the game, but the recently-appointed XXL Freshman has already been staking her claim. From receiving the coveted Drake co-sign to collaborating with artists like Dave East, EarthGang, and Pooh Shiesty, Leray has carved out a lane for herself that cannot be denied.

It’s reached the point where Leray has become somewhat of a household name, and though she has yet to release an official debut album, her price has already reached a significant level. Like many before her, Leray opted to flex the cost of a verse, circling back to the immortal braggadocio of Nicki Minaj circa “Monster” to emphasize her point.

“What nicki say?” writes Coi. “50k for a verse no album out? Don’t forget, I still never dropped an album.” Though the invocation of Minaj’s name drew out the presence of the Barbz — who weren’t exactly keen on Leray’s citation of their Queen — many fans were quick to praise the melodist’s undeniable rise.

It’s entirely that Leray found herself inspired to flex in the wake of “Big Purr’s” continued success; as she was quick to point out on Twitter, the Pooh Shiesty-assisted single is well on its way to gold certification. Don’t be surprised to see it lining the tracklist of her upcoming debut, which should bolster the numbers quite nicely for that essential first-week tally.

50k for a verse, no album out. Not too shabby for Coi Leray. Do you foresee that price tag rising even higher?

Pop Smoke’s Self-Titled Album Promo Posters Are Popping Up

The death of Pop Smoke remains one of the most heartbreaking tragedies in hip-hop in 2020. The late rapper was positioned for a takeover in the music industry and the success of Meet The Woo 2 only cemented it. Fortunately, his team and 50 Cent properly unveiled the first posthumous album from Pop last year. Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon was one of the most commercially successful albums of 2020. However, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of another posthumous body of work from Pop Smoke.

Over the past few weeks, there’s been a few updates on the release of Pop’s next album. Steven Victor’s provided some promising updates before finally confirming that the album would drop on July 16th. Unfortunately, we haven’t received any sort of ‘lead single’ off of the project but perhaps, that’s coming soon, especially since promotional flyers for the album have been popping up in anticipation of its release.

So far, information regarding the album has been scarce. There’s been little information regarding potential guest features or even production credits. Over the weekend, the official pre-order for his album went live, revealing that it would be an eponymous project. Apple Music subscribers were also treated to an early preview of the album’s outro which includes some uplifting words from Pop Smoke.

Seth Rogen Says Paul Rudd Once Quietly Replaced His Masseuse At A Spa

It’s never a dull moment with Seth Rogen. The actor has been quite busy in recent times after the release of his memoir Yearbook. Rogen’s media run in promotion of the book has been filled with some hilarious untold stories like the time he pissed in a bottle at Tom Cruise’s house before they met.

Earlier today, the comedian hit Twitter with a hilarious anecdote about his close friend Paul Rudd. While the two have shared plenty of moments on screen together, their relationship is solidified in real life. Apparently, there so close that Paul Rudd gave Seth Rogen a massage without the Superbad star knowing.

“Once I was in the spa in a hotel in Vegas getting a massage. When I finished I turned over and to my shock Paul Rudd was massaging me. He saw me go in and convinced the masseuse to let him take over, thinking I’d notice immediately. I didn’t, and Paul did the entire rest of it,” Rogen revealed on Twitter.

One Twitter user quickly asked Rogen whether the story was true or a hallucination from getting a little too stoned off of that Houseplant. However, Rogen stated that Rudd would vouch for him. “I’m sure Paul would confirm it,” he wrote.

Paul Rudd has yet to respond to Seth Rogen’s tweet but we’ll keep you posted if he does.
