Jake Paul Vs. Ben Askren Fight Gets Massive Venue Update

Next month on April 17th, Jake Paul will be going up against former UFC fighter Ben Askren in what should be his toughest boxing match to date. Paul won easily against Nate Robinson back in November and now, he is back for more. The fight is set to be presented on Triller and at this point, it seems like both fighters are about to make the platform a whole lot of money.

There has been so much interest in this fight that today, Triller executive Ryan Kavanaugh announced that the whole thing will take place in Atlanta at the Mercedes-Benz stadium. A fight has never been held at the stadium which makes this Paul Vs. Askren fight a one-of-a-kind event.

“Our vision of big fights, big entertainment and world class events can only fit into a world class venue, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium fits that vision,” Kavanaugh said in a press release. “April 17th will have an element of surprise and action for everyone, from music fans to the casual and diehard fight fan. The way we will present the night in this state-of-the-art venue will continue to redefine consumer engagement for a global consumer, with world class partners like iNDemand and FITE joining us not just for this event, but for the others we will have in 2021 and beyond.”

These types of spectacles have had an increased demand over the last year and there is no stopping this fight from being a massive success. Paul attracts both hardcore fans and the most staunch haters, which will make this that much more fun for the viewers.

Pooh Shiesty Calls Out Kodak Black: “Lost All My Respect”

Kodak Black probably should have kept his mouth shut on this one. On Monday, the rapper reacted to some of Lil Baby’s recent lyrics on Lil Durk’s “Finesse Out The Gang Way”, effectively checking Baby and demanding his credit for the money-spreading trend. Making a point to say that he was not dissing Lil Baby or being petty by sharing the videos, Kodak was bombarded with messages about why it probably wasn’t a great idea to share his take on the situation. Now, he’s learning why.

While Lil Baby still hasn’t said anything about the call-out, Memphis stepper Pooh Shiesty of “Back In Blood” fame has officially chimed in, telling Kodak that he doesn’t rock with him anymore. “This sh*t here so lame too me,” wrote Pooh, posting-and-deleting a link to Kodak’s video. “Lost all my respect @kodakblack.”

Pooh Shiesty has been rising up the rap ranks quickly and it looks like any possibility that we would get a song from Pooh and Yak is officially out the window. Do you think this will lead to a larger number of rappers calling out Kodak? And do you think Kodak should have stayed silent on this matter?

Kodak was released from prison after being pardoned by President Donald Trump on his final day in office. He has remained out of trouble since the beginning of this year, but he hasn’t steered clear of social media antics. This is just the latest in his comeback story.

Serena Williams Offers Touching Message In Support Of Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down for an extensive interview with Oprah Winfrey last night and there were plenty of bombshell revelations to come from it all. One of those revelations involved their son Archie. According to Markle, someone in the Royal Family told her that Archie would not get certain security privileges if he was of a certain complexion. Markle even stated that Archie wouldn’t even receive a title within the family due to the fact that he is of mixed race.

This is something that shocked many throughout the world, and today, Markle has been receiving support from millions of people, her best friends included. One of those friends is Tennis superstar Serena Williams, who took to Twitter with a message for Markle, noting that she understands her struggle and that she hopes people learn from and change their bigotry.

“Meghan Markle, my selfless friend, lives her life—and leads by example— with empathy and compassion. She teaches me everyday what it means to be truly noble. Her words illustrate the pain and cruelty she’s experienced” Williams wrote in her post. “I know first hand the sexism and racism institutions and the media use to vilify women and people of color to minimize us, to break us down and demonize us. We must recognize our obligation to decry malicious, unfounded gossip and tabloid journalism. the mental health and consequences of systemic oppression and victimization are devastating, isolating and all too often lethal.

“I want Meghan’s daughter, my daughter and your daughter to live in a society that is driven by respect. Keep in your memory the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

The situation between Harry, Markle, and the Royal Family has certainly been eye-opening for many people although, considering the Royal Family’s history, it shouldn’t be surprising. Hopefully, Markle and her husband are able to find peace during this difficult time.

Emerging R&B Star Fousheé Just Wants To ‘Sing About Love’

R&B’s resurgence as one of the foremost genres in American music continues with the latest newcomer to generate some underground buzz, New Jersey-born singer Fousheé. Her new song, “Sing About Love,” is a sultry, scintillating slow jam that shows off her emotive lyrics and velvety vocals as she sings about recovering from heartbreak. “I can finally sing about love again,” she celebrates, backed by a chewy bassline that melts like fudge under her honeyed, smoky melodizing.

Fousheé’s breakout single, “Deep End,” arrived in July of 2020, accelerated by a sample on Brooklyn rapper Sleepy Hallow’s TikTok hit “Deep End Freestyle.” Once fans figured out who the original song belonged to, they shot the song’s low-fi video to over 11,000,000 views on YouTube, prompting cosigns from hundreds of celebrity accounts who reposted the song on social media. Fousheé kicked off 2021 with the relatable “Single AF,” capitalizing on the momentum and keeping it moving into the new year. “Single AF” has since accumulated over 1.5 million views as well between its visualizer and music video.

With “Sing About Love,” Fousheé hopes to keep her buzz building with more of the bass-heavy, funk-inspired R&B/soul that has put her name on the map.

Kyle Catches A Case Of Puppy Love In His Colorful ‘But Cha’ Video

Ventura, California rapper Kyle’s video for “But Cha” contains an adorable twist. In the first half of the video, he appears to be on a date, sitting at a dinner table and sharing a stimulating conversation with the diner across from him. He offers his “date” a present which, when opened, is revealed to be a bejeweled collar — his “date” is actually his puppy, who makes quizzical doggy faces for the rest of the video as Kyle exhibits infatuated pet owner behaviors like sharing a bath with the pup and dressing them up.

The video’s a classic example of the good-natured artist’s witty sense of humor. The second season of his hilarious animated variety show, Sugar & Toys, just concluded on Fuse, while Kyle himself is about eight months removed from the release of his second album, See You When I Am Famous!!!!!!!!!!!!, which similarly included tongue-in-cheek videos for singles like “Money Now,” in which he commandeers Tyga’s house for an episode of MTV’s Cribs, and the title song, where Kyle’s puppy gets a front-row seat to a stereotypical rap video pool party with scantily clad models and Too Short guest appearances.

Sharing his thoughts on making funny videos instead of serious ones with Uproxx in 2019, Kyle explained his humor. “I really like relating to the most innocent parts of people,” he said. “So, the morning cartoon is just such a nostalgic thing that every human, every race, ethnicity, rich, poor… we all experience the same thing. We all went through it, we all have those memories.”

Quotable Lyrics:

I bought a crib and a chain in a pandemic
Got an AMG and not a Panamera
Got a twin-turbo in the hood
Like I’m in the trenches next to Tia and Tamera

Drippin’ chlorophyll like I’m sippin’ syrup
Fresh up out the salon, I’ma f*ck her hair up
