DaBaby Responds To The Criticism Of His Homophobic Comments At Rolling Loud

After being criticized online for making homophobic comments during his Rolling Loud set this weekend, DaBaby has responded to fans’ disapproval. Unfortunately, anyone looking for contrition, empathy, or understanding from the North Carolina rapper had better look elsewhere, as instead of acknowledging the harm, he went on a defensive tirade, telling observers “it’s not y’all business” on his Instagram Story.

In his “explanation,” he insists that his words were taken out of context and “twisted up.” More important to him is that “the show is for the n****s that paid the money and took the time out they life to come enjoy the show.” He reiterates his original words and asserts that “all the lights went up… ’cause even my gay fans don’t got AIDS” and that they “ain’t nasty n****s” or “junkies.”

DaBaby came under fire for delivering a call-and-response during his set in which he said, ““If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexual transmitted diseases that make you die in two or three weeks, then put your cell phone light in the air.” He implored, “If you ain’t suck a n****’s dick in the parking lot, put your cell phone light in the air.”

Many pointed out the misinformation contained in his statement — neither HIV nor any other STDs can kill you “in two or three weeks” — and how repeating harmful stereotypes reinforces them, but it appears their concerns fell on deaf ears. Meanwhile, DaBaby has yet to address the criticism he also received as a result of bringing out Tory Lanez to perform with him after he performed his collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, who Tory is accused of shooting in her feet.

Soulja Boy Drops “BLATT” Ahead Of New Album

Soulja Boy is just days away from the release of his upcoming album, DRACO. The album has been in the works for quite some time and Draco’s been keeping the streets fed with new music in the past few months. In fact, it feels like every week, he’s unleashing a new banger to build the anticipation. We’ve received massive bangers like “She Make It Clap” and its remix with French Montana, as well as the meme-worthy “Rick N Morty” freestyle which now includes appearances from both Tory Lanez and Rich The Kid.

With the new album set to drop on Friday, the rapper emerged with another taste of what’s to come with his latest release, “Blatt.” It’s another belligerent banger added to his catalog that certainly plays up to the Big Draco moniker.

Aaron Rodgers & Packers Inch Closer Towards Complex New Deal: Details

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have been in desperate need of couple’s counseling over the past few months. Ever since the Packers decided to choose Jordan Love with their first-round pick in 2020, Rodgers has been upset with the franchise, and things reached their climax just a few months ago after losing the NFC Championship Game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Rodgers’ plan was to get traded from the Packers and to hold out from training camp for as long as possible. The Packers made it clear they want to keep Rodgers long-term although the quarterback continued to be stubborn even despite being offered the richest contract in the NFL.

Today, it was reported that Rodgers would be coming back to the Packers and that he would be playing Week 1. Now, a new report from Adam Schefter details how the Packers have now restructured Rodgers’ contract. Essentially, the 2023 season will be voided on Rodgers’ deal, and there are now new stipulations that allow Rodgers to leave at the end of the 2021 season if he is still unhappy with the organization. This means Rodgers is set up to play one more season with the Packers before going off somewhere else.

If Rodgers and the Packers win a Super Bowl this year, the expectation is that he would come back in 2022, although if the team is a failure, you can pretty well bank on him requesting a trade, which is a demand the Packers would be respectful of.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring you the latest news from the NFL world.

Lil Durk & Coi Leray Exchange Praise For One Another After Rolling Loud

The Rolling Loud festivities in Miami concluded on Sunday night with headliner Post Malone but it was Saturday that was arguably the most eventful. Travis Scott closed out the evening by premiering new music off of Utopia. Lil Durk had an electrifying set that included a live band, an appearance from Lil Baby, and a tribute to King Von. Plus, he brought out Coi Leray so they could before “No More Parties (Remix).”

Coi Leray, however, didn’t have as great of a Rolling Loud experience as Lil Durk, despite performing together. Coi became a target of online slander after footage of the unenthusiastic audience at Rolling Loud stood there seemingly unimpressed by her set. Memes flooded the timeline which Coi ultimately brushed off. However, she also made sure to direct her focus and energy towards Lil Durk and his resilience.

“As much as you went through and go through, you continue to wake up everyday and grind to put on for you and the whole OTF. You inspire me to keep going in this shit and I just wanted to thank you. You really the VOICE & HERO,” she tweeted.

Durk later responded with encouraging words for her, especially after witnessing the overwhelming amount of derogatory comments about her. “Just stay focus and be great like you been doing they only play with you till you kill em even more,” he tweeted.

With Coi Leray’s new album set to drop this fall, it seems as if there might be another Coi x Durk collab on the way.

Kanye West’s “DONDA” Release Date Confirmed By New Source

Since the beginning of his career, Kanye West has had a habit of being late with his albums. While there are certainly some cycles in which he is on time, there are others where fans have just given up out of frustration. A prime example of this was with “YANDHI” which is an album that was promised but ultimately never released. Now, West is throwing fans for a loop, once again, thanks to his new album DONDA which was supposed to drop on Friday, July 23rd.

The day before his supposed album release date, Kanye held a listening party in Atlanta where thousands of fans got a sneak peek at the new project. As many came to realize, the album was unfinished which ultimately led to the delayed release date. On Saturday, it was revealed by Malik Yusef and Justin Laboy that DONDA would come out on Friday, August 6th.

This new release date was not confirmed by Kanye himself, although now, it appears as though an official representative is confirming the new date. In a new report from Pitchfork, it was revealed that August 6th is, indeed, the new release date and that fans can expect to hear the album that night.

Of course, Kanye can change his mind at any time, so don’t be surprised if something happens between now and then. In the meantime, keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates surrounding DONDA

Vince Staples Says Mac Miller Refused To Take Royalties For Their Collaborative ‘Stolen Youth’ Mixtape

Back in 2013, Vince Staples and Mac Miller released a collaborative mixtape called Stolen Youth, which was entirely produced by Miller under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman. Now, Staples has revealed a touching anecdote about the late rapper, who died in 2018, saying that he refused to accept royalties from the project.

In an interview on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast, Staples said that Miller had creatively inspired him when the two were initially introduced by Earl Sweatshirt. “I wasn’t really making music at that time,” Staples said. “Earl had came back and I was just you know moving around with him making sure you know he was straight and shit. And I introduced myself to [Mac] and he was like, ‘I know who you are why don’t you make beats or whatever, why don’t you make music,’ and I say, ‘I don’t got no beats and he’s like, ‘Aight, I’m making some beats come over here on Friday,’ and then that’s how we ended up making music and being cool.”

Staples continued, talking about going on tour with Miller and how “he didn’t want no publishing.”

“He said, ‘If you make a million dollars buy me a S-Class Benz or something like that,’ the whole project [Stolen Youth] he gave me ownership of it. He just said, if you if you make a gang of money, just give me like a S-Class — and then took me on the road and paid for my room and board and still paid me. So yeah, you know that was the homie.”

Mac Miller is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Chris Brown Cops Insane Magnetic Gold Grills

Chris Brown has seen a lot of success throughout his career and when you make a lot of money, you might as well spend it on the things that make you happy. Over the course of his time in the music industry, Brown has been known to cop some extravagant pieces of clothing while also getting himself some nice jewelry. Brown has been a particular fan of grills, as he tends to wear them on a regular basis. As a result of his love for grills, Brown has become closer to his dentist, and they are always trying to push the limits together.

A prime example of this came just a few days ago as Brown’s dentist Thomas Connelly made a lengthy post on Instagram about a brand new piece he designed specifically for Brown. The piece in question is a pair of magnetic gold grills that cost the artist $100k. What makes these special is the fact that the grills connect to his magnetic molars which ultimately makes it easier for him to talk and sing at the same time.

Per Connelly:

“These grills are 100% 24kt gold covering all 28 teeth. What makes these grills unique is their magnetic retention design. Breezy had 9 magnetic embedded gold crowns placed on all his back molars. This allows the grills to fit and lock in the magnets with precision on the fronts of all the teeth. The magnets not only make the grills super secure but they allow less metal that usually covers the inside of the teeth. With no metal covering the inside of the teeth, Chris can sing and speak normally while wearing an entire set of grills.”

While $100k might be a high price to pay, there is no denying that these grills are the most functional pair that Brown has in his arsenal. With that being said, you will probably see him with these on the next time you check him out in concert.
