Courtney Love Was Brought To Tears While Covering Britney Spears’ ‘Lucky’

As Brintey Spears’ conservatorship battle continue, many artists have found their own ways to show support for the singer and she continues the fight. Some have shared thoughtful messages on social media, especially after Britney’s explosive court hearing at the end of last month where she labeled the court arrangement as “abusive.” Others have thought of different ways to show love to the singer.

This includes Courtney Love who recently shared a cover of Britney’s 2000 song, “Lucky,” which appears on her Oops!… I Did It Again album. In the middle of her performance, Love was brought to tears but continued to complete the song.

The cover arrived hours after The New Yorker shared an investigation they conducted into Britney Spears’ conservatorship. It revealed how much control the singer’s conservators had on her life and the great lengths she had to go through for brief moments of freedom. This includes borrowing phones from strangers to contact people as her own phone was being monitored by conservators. She was also pushed to call 911 on the day before her explosive June 23 hearing to “report herself as a victim of conservatorship abuse.” Lastly, she accused her conservators of forcing her to do a European tour, however, they’ve denied the singer’s claims saying she “begged” to do to 2018 tour.

You can watch the cover in the video above.

LeBron James’s PR Advisor Complains He’s “Exhausted” By James’s Support For BLM

Adam Mendelsohn, longtime public relations advisor to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, said that he was “exhausted” with the NBA star’s commitment to social justice causes such as Black Lives Matter and the Me Too movement. The comments were made during a phone conversation with ESPN’s NBA reporter Rachel Nichols, which were reported by The New York Times, Sunday.

“I’m exhausted. Between Me Too and Black Lives Matter, I got nothing left,” he said in the leaked phone call.

When asked for comment by CNBC, after the bombshell report, Mendelsohn expressed regret for his comments.

“I made a stupid, careless comment rooted in privilege and I am sincerely sorry. I shouldn’t have said it or even thought it,” Mendelsohn told the outlet in an email. “I work to support these movements and know that the people affected by these issues never get to be exhausted or have nothing left. I have to continue to check my privilege and work to be a better ally.”

The NYT report exposed Nichols for complaining about the hiring of a Black reporter, Maria Taylor, over herself to cover the NBA finals pre- and postgame shows. Nichols complained that Taylor was only given the position because she is Black.

Westside Tut Grabs 42 Dugg For “Sinbad (Remix)”

Westside Tut is still riding high off of the release of his 2020 album, Don’t Let Go 2. The rapper unveiled the deluxe edition shortly after but there clearly isn’t a shortage of music in the cut. A few months back, he blessed fans with a quick four-track EP titled, Pack Of Slapz 2 which included the less-than-a-minute-long record, “Sinbad.” The song, which is the perfect length for TikTok virality, became a fan favorite and now, Tut dropped off the remix with 42 Dugg. Tut and Dugg swap bars over the hypnotic production as they reflect on the streets and status.

Dugg’s feature price has probably gone up in recent months. Not only did he unveil his latest project, Free Dem Boyz but he also appeared on a standout cut off of Tyler, The Creator’s new album, Call Me If You Get Lost.

Foolio Blames NBA YoungBoy’s Arrest On His Crew: It’s “Full Of Yes Men”

Having built up momentum by dropping songs such as “Whip Bump” and the Fantasia-inspired “When I See You,” Foolio has been extremely active as of late. The Florida rapper starred in the latest episode of HNHH‘s Top 5s, and he has also made headlines for his recent comments about NBA YoungBoy’s crew, who he says is “doing bad” without the “WUSYANAME” rapper.

Now, in a newly released clip from his interview with DJ Vlad, Foolio explains where his tension with NBA YoungBoy stems from, and he also shares yet another hot take regarding NBA YoungBoy and his team.

Foolio first discusses what led to him and NBA YoungBoy not seeing eye to eye, and according to him, the Until I Return rapper initiated everything by calling Foolio out on songs.

“On the song, he said just like this, ‘What you want Foolio? B*tch a** boy,'” the Florida artist tells Vlad. “Another one come on, ‘Foolio, you a b*tch.’ I’m like, that’s two strikes. Like who the f*ck he talking bout? Then I’m looking at the views and sh*t, and you know what the fans gone do. The fans gone spam you in the comments…they gone start it up. And then it just so happen he got booked for a show in Jacksonville when we followed his a**.”

NBA YoungBoy has in fact mentioned Foolio on wax before, most notably on “Play Wit Us” when he rapped, “Foolio let that hammer bust, slip one time and you bite the dust/That’s when you n*ggas die (B*tch ass n*gga).

The conversation then shifts to NBA’s arrest and the dire legal situation that he’s in, and according to Foolio, YoungBoy’s unfortunate situation is the byproduct of not having a good team around him.

“I be watching him sometimes, and that’s [cause] his circle is full of like ‘Yes Men,'” he explains. “So they not gone tell him if he wrong. With my circle right now, they gone tell me when I’m right and when I’m wrong. Like, ‘You don’t need to post that….That’s extra…Just calm down.'”

“Like right now I ain’t in the hood 24/7 no more,” Foolio continues. “Do that from a distance, you know what I’m saying? Don’t set yourself up for failure. If you’re a felon, what you got guns in your video for?”

Herm, one of NBA YoungBoy’s associates recently called out Foolio for behavior such as this and criticized the Florida rapper for mentioning the Top rapper‘s name to stay relevant. What do you think — is Foolio unreasonably concerned with NBA YoungBoy and his crew or is he on to something?

Tyler The Creator’s ‘Call Me If You Get Lost’ Tops The Chart Becoming His Second Consecutive No. 1 Album

Prior to almost two weeks ago, it’d been two years since Tyler The Creator graced the world with an album. His last effort was 2019’s Igor, a project that saw the rapper take a big step away from his trademark style. This step proved beneficial as it topped the charts and earned him a Grammy award for Best Rap Album. Fast-forward to the present and Tyler is seeing similar success with his sixth album, Call Me If You Get Lost. The project, which the rapper released last month, became his second consecutive chart-topping album after it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The album reached the top of the chart thanks to 169,000 album units sold. This number is comprised of 114,000 streaming equivalent album units, backed by 152.96 million on-demand streams of the project’s songs. It also posted a total of 55,000 pure album sales. It should also be noted that if album sales were deducted from Tyler’s first-week numbers, Call Me If You Get Lost still would have gone No. 1 thanks to a strong streaming week.

Tyler’s album was accompanied by just one other debut within the top 10 positions of the chart this week. That would be Doja Cat’s Planet Her which checked in at No. 2 thanks to 109,000 units sold. Her album was boosted by a five-track deluxe reissue that arrived two days after the standard edition of Planet Her.

Big Scarr & Quezz Ruthless Go “Bacc To Bacc”

The 1017 train is moving, despite a few setbacks. The revamp of Gucci Mane’s label heavily focuses on the new talent to define trap in a new decade. Unfortunately, both Foogiano and Pooh Shiesty are behind bars but Big Scarr is still carrying the flag with pride. The rapper delivered his debut project on the label earlier this year which was a promising sign of what he has in store. However, he’s keeping the ball rolling with even more bangers for the summer.

On Friday, the rapper delivered a brand new collaboration alongside Quezz Ruthless titled, “Bacc To Bacc.” Over elegant piano keys, Big Scarr and Quezz Ruthless swap bars detailing the streets, money and guns in a little over two minutes.

Young Buck Speaks His Mind On “Enough Is Enough”

While there’s probably not a chance that we’ll see Young Buck joining 50 Cent for a G-Unit reunion in the future, the Tennessee rapper is still keeping a firm grip on the streets. This year, specifically, Buck has been releasing more music than he has in recent years. He unveiled the project Vaccine and then, dropped off Back On My Buck Shit Vol. 3.

On Friday, the rapper returned with his latest body of work, 40 Days And 40 Nights. The 7-track EP showcases Young Buck’s strengths as he addresses his naysayers. On “Enough Is Enough,” the rapper tackles moody production as he fires back at his haters and the rumors that have riddled his career.

Check out the highlight off of Young Buck’s new project below and let us know what your favorite track is off of 40 Days And 40 Nights in the comment section.

Kanye West’s Team Lied To Get Him A Dinner Reservation

Kanye West is one of the most famous people in the entire world although there are still scenarios in which he has to lie in order to get a table at a restaurant or maybe even a place in the club. When it comes to exclusive restaurants that are always fully reserved, Kanye and his team know how to work around the system and recently, that is exactly what they did.

According to the San Francisco Chroniclesomeone associated with Kanye called a Thai restaurant in San Francisco called Nari, looking to book a table for six. The team member claimed that the group was from Noma, a restaurant owned by Danish chef René Redzepi. According to Nari owner Pim Techamuanvivit, her staff was excited about the opportunity to potentially serve Redzepi, although, in the end, they were disappointed to have been duped by none other than Kanye.

Regardless, the restaurant was happy to serve Kanye and his team, who were quite gracious the entire night.

“They were very normal, not loud, not demanding—just perfectly polite people happy to eat the food,” Techamuanvivit said. “Definitely not what you might think of as rockstar people.”

Needless to say, Kanye knows how to make a grand entrance, even when you least expect it.
