Addison Rae’s high-profile breakup with TikTok star Bryce Hall has captivated millions of people across the globe. The two are arguably some of the biggest influencers on the platform, so their split came as a massive blow to their shippers.

At the latest Triller Fight Night, many people noticed how close Addison Rae was getting to rapper Jack Harlow, seemingly connecting the dots and speculating that they could be dating. There were photos released of them spending much of the evening together, spending time in the locker room with Pete Davidson and Jake Paul. After Bryce Hall had a meltdown on Twitter, calling his ex-girlfriend’s alleged new man a “downgrade,” Addison has responded by claiming she’s not actually dating the “WHATS POPPIN” hitmaker.

“I’m single,” tweeted Addison simply on Monday afternoon. This came after a string of emotion-filled posts from her ex Bryce Hall. “im about to explode man,” he wrote. “f*cking me, telling me u love me then sneaking around w/ someone else… that f*ckin hurts,” he added.

Jack Harlow has been absent from the drama, peacing out from social media until this all blows over. Instead of addressing the rumors bringing up his name and alleged relationship status, Jack posted some photos with the legendary Snoop Dogg, claiming that meeting him and interacting with the West Coast icon was one of the highlights of his career.

It seems as though Addison and Jack are just friends for now.

Throughout this past year, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne have been hard at work on ColleGrove 2, the anticipated sequel to their 2016 collaborative album. Originally intended for release last year, 2 Chainz spoke with Complex about his in-studio dynamic with Weezy. “Steel sharpens steel,” he teased. “It’s this friendly competition. It’s to stay up on your toes. It’s a slaying war, a delivery war. It’s just so fun. So be looking out for ColleGrove, if not the end of this year, definitely the top of next year.”

Being that it’s a little beyond the “top of next year,” it’s fair to say we’re about due for an update on ColleGrove 2. And while it’s not exactly a concrete reveal, 2 Chainz recently took to Instagram to share an intriguing detail about the album’s progress. Sharing a picture of himself and Lil Wayne in the midst of a boy’s night out, Tity captioned “goin over track list in the club.”

As it stands, there are a few possible inferences we can make. For one, it’s possible that all of the material has been recorded, mixed, and mastered, and the pair are truly in the final stages of outlining the album. The best-case scenario, as it likely means we’ll be seeing some official news on ColleGrove 2 before the summer rolls around. On the other hand, it’s possible that they’re still dealing with demos and unfinished material, which might mean that the project is still a ways away.

Given 2 Chainz’s previously expressed desire to drop the album in 2020, it feels like optimism is the wiser course of action here. After all, we’re looking at two of the game’s most prolific emcees, both of whom tend to prefer their schedules jam-packed with new releases whenever possible. Surprisingly, former POTUS Donald Trump has demonstrated quite an interest in the hip hop community in the past. After all, the disgraced politician did grant clemency to both Kodak Black and Lil Wayne, allowing them to forgo the remainder of their respective federal prison sentences. Apparently also a big fan of Waka Flocka, Trump is recognizing the Atlanta rapper for his stellar achievements.

As reported by TMZ, Trump recognized the rapper in his hometown in honor of his charity work with a lifetime achievement award. The award is particularly in honor of his work as a humanitarian and philanthropic volunteer for the Daughter of Destiny non-profit in Chicago.

He received the award Friday (April 16) in Atlanta presented by his pastor and mentor Apostle Bridget Outlaw, who gave him an official certificate and medal. Waka appeared ecstatic in the video showing him receiving the coveted award and the matching medallion, offering a few kind words to Trump in the process.

The non-profit that Waka volunteers for is an outreach program dedicated to helping women by offering employment, food, housing, community, and inner healing. The certificate recognizes Waka specifically for his “lifelong commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.”

As explained by TMZ, the former president and his administration had everything signed and approved before he left office back in January. Congrats to Waka on the well-deserved accolade!

IDK has a brand new single out in the world and it’s getting a lot of attention. Titled “SHOOT MY SHOT,” the new track features Migos rapper Offset. As you know, the group has been all over the news lately because of Quavo’s breakup with rapper Saweetie. Migos are preparing to release their next studio album Culture III, which is currently in the mixing stages, but this drama with Saweetie appears to be affecting all members of the group, and not just Quavo.

As pointed out by the blog page @its_onsite, IDK’s new song with Offset comes as the latest layer in Quavo’s ongoing feud against his ex-girlfriend Saweetie. Despite the two rappers having no relation to the song, except through Offset, it appears as though one very telling lyric was changed at the last minute, with a previous version surfacing, making reference to none other than Saweetie.

“Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, yeah, yeah, my type,” raps IDK in his verse in the officially released version of “SHOOT MY SHOT.” While nothing seems off about this lyric, new audio suggests that the song was altered to have a lyric about Saweetie removed. The lyric was originally, “Say she like to do the lounge, she don’t f*ck with the clubs/My type, my type, like Saweetie, my type.” The bar made reference to the rapper’s hit record “My Type” but it seems as though Offset (or Quavo?) took issue with it and possibly asked for it to be changed.
