Kyrie Irving Takes Issue With Dennis Schröder’s Use Of N-Word: “We Are Not Slaves”

Kyrie Irving called out Dennis Schröder for his use of the n-word on Twitter, following the Los Angeles Lakers‘ 126-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets, Saturday night. Both Irving and Schröder were ejected during the game.

“The N-word is a derogatory racial slur!” Irving wrote on Twitter after the game.

He explained that the word will never be a term of endearment.

“NEVER FORGET ITS FOUL AND TRUE HISTORY! Throw that N-word out the window, right alongside all of those other racist words used to describe my people,” he added. “We are not slaves or N’s”

The two point guards came to blows with 9 minutes, 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter when they exchanged tense words following a foul call on Irving. Irving appeared visibly upset with Schröder’s use of the n-word.

Schröder disagreed with the refs’ decision to eject him, telling reporters after the game that he was confused he did wrong.

“I think it was unnecessary,” Schröder said after the game. “It’s just unfortunate that I left my team out there by their self. And I mean, I don’t even know what I did; but I got kicked out, and I apologize for that just to my teammates.”

Refs said it was Schröder waving goodbye to Irving that was seen as taunting and resulted in his ejection.

Keri Hilson says she and Beyoncé have squashed their long-standing beef that dated back to 2009 when she dissed the beloved singer in her track “Turnin’ Me On.” Hilson discussed her relationship with Beyoncé in a new interview with radio host Persia Nicole.

“She actually has introduced herself. It was a gracious moment,” Keri revealed of when they first met in person. “I appreciated it. Hilson added that she would be interested in collaborating with Beyoncé in the future, despite their history: “Yeah, it would be a very fun experience to do that if she were open. I do feel like she understood what that was all about. She’s amazing. I’ve always felt that way. That’s the truth of the matter, but no one will believe that.”

“We can understand and nod and have a mutual respect [now],” Keri continued. “I think at the very minimum there can be that. That’s always possible and that’s where I’m at. I made a decision that was not authentic to who I truly am and of course I regret it. Of course.”

In “Turnin’ Me On,” Hilson sings, “Your vision cloudy if you think that you da best, You can dance, she can sing, but need to move it to the left… She need to go have some babies, she need to sit down, she fake, them other chicks ain’t even worth talkin’ bout.”

Cooper’s performing style tends to include putting a classical twist on conventional pop songs using her violin.

Cooper also said that the love between the couple was palpable in person: “It was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before, watching Beyoncé and Jay-Z together. You could truly feel the love between them and it was so special to see.”

She said the event was extravagant and that Jay-Z sat atop a throne, wearing a crown and cape that Beyoncé had prepared in accordance with the theme. Beyoncé sported a glittering, gold outfit, which Cooper said had “lots of drama.”

After the performance, Jay-Z and Beyoncé left in a horse and carriage.

As his mother says on “December 4th,” “Shawn Carter was born December 4th, weighing in at 10 pounds, 8 ounces.”

Pooh Shiesty Says Lil Baby’s Cameo In The “Neighbors” Video Wasn’t Planned

Pooh Shiesty says that Lil Baby’s cameo in his music video for “Neighbors” wasn’t planned and came as the result of the two becoming close friends.

Responding at length regarding his relationship with the “Bigger Picture” rapper, Shiesty explained that the two have hit the studio together “like 10 times.” The pair recently collaborated on the track “Monday to Sunday.”

“Man, just being the type of dude I am and him being the type of dude he is — like he know what I come from,” Pooh told HipHopDX. “So, just how I’m describing to y’all how If I see something, I’m going to embrace it, that’s exactly like what he did. He didn’t hate on it or nothing — it was in his face so he acknowledged it.”

Earlier this year, Shiesty dropped a new project titled, Shiesty Season. “Neighbors” was one of the singles leading up to the project’s release.

“Even with being the person he is, knowing how big he is, he still didn’t care,” Shiesty continued. “He pulled up — it was lit, too lit. Like, he gone pull up. We been in the studio like 10-times, we ain’t got to record every time. You know, it’s just like regular life, he’s a bro now he’s locked in. See, that’s how he’s in the ‘Neighbors’ video – he just might text me one day, ‘What you got going?’ I’m like, ‘Nothing, cooling, pull up on me,’ whole time we shooting a video today so it’s just like, it’s just whatever.”

Michael B. Jordan On Why Sylvester Stallone Won’t Be In “Creed III”

Michael B. Jordan says that he has “respect” and “a shit-ton of love” for Sylvester Stallone, following the announcement that the Rocky star will not be returning to the Creed franchise for its upcoming third installment. Stallone first portrayed the legendary Rocky Balboa in the 1976 film.

Jordan discussed why Stallone isn’t returning and how the story will progress without him in a new interview with IGN:

I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis. But this is a Creed franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward. So, it’s always respect and always a shit-ton of love for what he’s built, but we really want to push and navigate Adonis forward and the family that he created. So, hopefully you guys will love what I’m thinking… what we’re cooking up. I think it’s going to be something special.

Hanks recently declared that, in addition to “White Boy Summer,” it is also “Black Queen Summer.”

“You know, they’ve been asking me, ‘Chet, if it’s going to be a white boy summer does that make it a black queen summer for you?’” he said in a video posted to social media. “Do you know me? ‘Cause if you did you’d know that’s all year round.”

Prior to Hanks, Akbar comically tried to land a date with Drake in a video on Instagram.

Chika Announces Her Retirement And Cites The ‘Mental Toll’ Of The Industry As A Reason

Success doesn’t always lead to happiness — something that Chika has unfortunately experienced. Despite dropping impressive projects and even landing a Grammy nomination, things haven’t been perfect for the Alabama native. It seems like things have only gotten worse, as she took to Twitter on Sunday to share a message announcing her retirement.

today, i shared that I was thinking of retiring because the mental toll being in the industry has taken on me is not something you bounce back from easily. i’ve told my team, i’ve told my therapist, i’ve told friends and acquaintances. today i told twitter. what followed was a hoard of psychotic fans rejoicing in the decline of my mental health, harassing me as if I spoke to them first. when you have depression, the negative self talk you have towards yourself is deafening. now imagine a slew of weirdos dogpiling on top of thoughts you already have to fight off yourself. it’s not f*cking cool, it’s not “trolling” or “stan culture,” you’re pushing people to a point of no return. and no, i don’t feel bad for wishing death on people who sh*t like that cuz you deserve the same fate as the people you effect.

with that said, I’m out. if it doesn’t work, i’ll try again. idc. have fun. i never liked it here anyway.

The message came after a Instagram Live session in which she responded to fans’ feelings about her announcement. “I came on here and said I was retiring because that’s where I’m at — physically, mentally and emotionally,” she said. “And you stupid b*tches flooded my comments immediately, not know what the f*ck I’m going through. You want me to give a good god damn about you and your stupid ass fifth grade stan friends?”

Chika is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Donald Trump Calls Mitch McConnell A “Dumb Son Of A B*tch” In Speech To Republican Donors

Former President Donald Trump called Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell a “dumb son of a bitch,” ahead of a Republican National Committee donor retreat Saturday. He also criticized McConnell’s wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, for resigning in wake of the infamous Jan. 6 insurrection.

Trump reportedly began going off-script at some point during his 50-minute speech. He also railed against Mike Pence, saying that he was “disappointed” in the former Vice President for not backing his claims of voter fraud from the 2020 Presidential Election.

“Saturday’s speech will be welcomed words to the Republican donors visiting Mar-a-Lago to hear directly from President Trump,” Trump adviser Jason Miller said, according to Politico. “Palm Beach is the new political power center, and President Trump is the Republican Party’s best messenger.”

McConnell has yet to comment on the harsh words from the former President.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, and Sen. Marco Rubio were all also present at the fundraising event.

Saturday was not the first time Trump had publically called out McConnell. Back in February, Trump released a statement, in which he referred to the Republican Senator as “a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack.”

King Los Slides Through With “Mines Still x Track Star x Lucid Dreams”

King Los doesn’t necessarily receive the credit he deserves for his penmanship. Over the years, he’s proven to be a lyrical heavyweight with the release of freestyles, mixtapes, and singles. His pen game is mean which is why it’s always nice hearing from him. Last month, he wasted no time tackling the latest from Drake and Rick Ross as well as a classic record from Busta Rhymes.

Even though it’s only been a few weeks, he surprised fans this week with a special mash-up of singles. Los came through with a remix that incorporated Juice WRLD’s hit record “Lucid Dreams,” Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mine Still,” and Mooski’s viral hit, “Trackstar.” It’s an interesting blend of melody and bars, though Los does make sure to distinguish the two.

Check it out below.

Quotable Lyrics
How n***as clickbaitin’
But couldn’t move a mouse
When a Mac put ’em to sleep
Ain’t no screensaver pop up
They claim they wanna pass words
And I go give a L out
But when I log in, they don’t say back words
