6ix9ine Sued For More Than $75K In Unpaid Security Fees: Report

Things have not been looking too hot for Tekashi 6ix9ine, née Daniel Hernandez, in the legal department recently. Just last week, TMZ reported that a Miami stripper was suing the 24-year-old for injuries she sustained after allegedly being caught in the crossfire of an altercation he initiated after being called a “snitch.” In 2018, around the time he was arrested in connection to his high-profile federal RICO case that earned him the “rat” title, the troubled rapper had a pretty bulky crew of guards around him. According to a new lawsuit filed by the security company, it seems like he forgot to pay the tab for the people protecting him.

Per TMZ, Hernandez is being sued by Metropolitan Patrol, who claim they provided security for him, particularly 11 days in November of 2018. In some of that time, he was seen parading around Los Angeles 6 bodyguards deep. In the legal documents obtained by the publication, Metropolitan Patrol claims Hernandez signed a contract with them where they agreed to provide 24-hour armed security for him. They even included a detailed schedule of the shifts they worked in the suit

The rate was set at $85/hr during the day, while night shifts cost about $127.50 an hour. They also claimed they provided him with armored vehicles, including a fully-loaded Yukon with ballistic panels and 2 police-style Ford Explorers complete with lights, sirens, and everything.

The company says his tab totaled over $75k, but he has simply refused to pay. They’re requesting a judge step into the situation now, and are requesting what is owed on the contract plus late fees and legal fees. In total, they’re asking for upwards of $88k.

The rapper’s lawyer has said that his booking agency at the time, MTA Bookings, is responsible for covering the tab, not his client. He added the suit was “meritless.”

We’ll keep you updated on further developments in the case.

DJ Khaled Shares 3 Rihanna Bikini Photos On Instagram

DJ Khaled might have some explaining to do when his wife logs onto Instagram because, on Monday, the mega-producer and music boss spent much of his time re-posting Rihanna’s latest thirst trap-y photos to promote her latest Savage X Fenty lingerie line, singing her praises in his captions.

At the time of publication, DJ Khaled has posted three different photos of Rihanna wearing a floral bikini, which she deemed to be “Savage AF”. “It’s gorgeous beautiful,” said the 45-year-old about the snaps. “Light attracts light.”

DJ Khaled recently worked with Fat Joe and Amorphous on the release of “Sunshine”, which uses Rihanna’s vocals sampled from her hit record “Kiss It Better”. The two also have an extensive history of collaborating together, most notably on “Wild Thoughts” with Bryson Tiller. It’s unclear why DJ Khaled is sharing all these pictures of Rihanna in her bikini, but he’s showing love, and there’s never anything wrong with that. He just probably has to have a long talk with his wife about what’s going on.

This isn’t the first time Khaled has done this with Rihanna. A few weeks ago, he flooded his main feed with over six posts for Rihanna’s birthday. Find you a friend that goes as hard as DJ Khaled goes for Rih… Do you have someone that gasses you up like this?

Fredo Bang Talks Relationship With Cousin Boosie Badazz

Family ties aren’t exactly uncommon in the rap game. Griselda’s Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine are brothers, with Benny The Butcher being their cousin. E40 and Tech N9ne discovered they were cousins, as did Denzel Curry and Smino. Insofar as the new generation is concerned, rising rapper Baton Rouge Fredo Bang recently confirmed that he and Boosie Badazz were indeed cousins, speaking on the topic during a lengthy interview on The Breakfast Club.

When speaking on his influences and naming Kevin Gates as a prominent one, Angela Yee inquires about the Boosie connection. After confirming that Badazz is his “real” cousin, he admits that they haven’t really spoken that much. “We spoke after everyone found out we were cousins,” he explains. “I seen him in Atlanta at the airport. It was nothing, he said he had some things to tell me. We talked, I got his number. He said he was going to do some music with me, but he never picked the phone up.” He laughs, as do Envy and Charlemagne. “Kevin Gates picking the phone up though,” says Tha God.

When Yee asks for more details about the familial link, Fredo Bang describes it as a “Baton Rouge” thing. “People I rap with, TBG, I got with TBG 2014, 15. There’s a lot of history,” he muses. “TBG was started in the 90s, so I don’t really know what they got going on.” When Charlamagne inquires about who actively involved in the crew, Fredo explains that “Boosie was kind of TBG. There was basically Badazz entertainment and TBG, it was family. You know, family business, something happened — I don’t really know. When he came home everything was good. Something happened, I don’t know.”

It should be noted that Boosie previously dodged a question about Fredo Bang during an interview on Vlad TV, suggesting that the history runs deeper than commonly known. The Breakfast Club hosts take the hint and avoid prying further, shifting the conversation back to Kevin Gates and his own connection with Fredo. Seeing as all the Boosie talk transpires within the first two minutes, rest assured that there is plenty of material to unpack for fans of the up-and-coming rapper. T.I. Is Not Returning For ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, T.I. will not be returning to his role as the title character’s sidekick in the third Ant-Man film, Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania. In the original 2015 Ant-Man and its 2018 sequel, T.I. plays Dave, a member of Ant-Man Scott Lang’s heist crew, providing comic relief alongside Michael Peña’s Luis and David Dastmalchian as Kurt.

The news arrives after a New York Times report confirming that a lawyer has reached out to law enforcement officials in California and Georgia urging criminal investigations into multiple allegations of sexual assault against T.I. and his wife, Tiny. 11 women represented by Tyrone A. Blackburn claim that the couple used drugs to encourage them to have sexual encounters. It’s currently unknown whether T.I.’s removal from the Ant-Man 3 cast is a result of the accusations against him and the Reporter notes that the film is still in development, so changes could be made in the future. The film does not have a release date.

However, MTV Entertainment’s production of T.I. and Tiny’s Vh1 show T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle has been suspended following the allegations, with a spokesperson telling Deadline, “Given the serious nature of the allegations, we have decided to suspend production in order to gather more information.”

Another 2021 Festival Has Been Canceled, And This Time, It’s Primavera Sound

Last year’s festival season was a total wash thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately, it’s starting to look like 2021 may face a similar fate. LiveNation’s CEO seems to think big concerts can return this summer, but others don’t seem as optimistic. Earlier this year, Glastonbury announced that it would not put on a 2021 festival. A week ago, Boston Calling also announced that they were canceling their 2021 event. Now, another festival has closed its doors for 2021: Primavera Sound.

In a post titled “We will dance in 2022,” organizers wrote today:

“It is with great sadness that we must announce that the 20th anniversary of Primavera Sound Barcelona is postponed until 2022 due to force majeure.

We have tried everything, but we have now made this very painful decision due to the uncertainty surrounding the legal framework for large events on the original dates of the festival — from June 2nd to 6th –, which, added to the restrictions that currently exist, mean that we cannot work normally on the preparation of the festival nor ensure that, once the date arrives, it can be celebrated.

Thank you to all the artists, agencies, sponsors, production companies and workers involved in everything necessary to hold Primavera Sound. And to the attendees, our family, thank you for your faith and love. We owe you the best edition of Primavera Sound, and we are already working on it.

Like last year, we are going to offer all ticket holders the possibility to keep their tickets for next year. It will also be possible to request a refund of the ticket from Wednesday, June 2nd, which is when the Primavera Sound Barcelona 2022 line-up will be revealed.

We will make it doubly good next year.

Until then, take good care of yourself. See you soon.”

This year’s lineup was set to include Pavement, The Strokes, Bad Bunny, Tyler The Creator, Charli XCX, Tame Impala, FKA Twigs, Jamie xx, and Gorillaz, among others.

Benzino Says To Coi Leray “This Is The Most Disrespectful Sh*t I’ve Ever Experienced”

Coi Leray took shots at her father in her latest single “No More Parties” where she claimed in the lyrics that her father, The Source co-founder Benzino, had not been there for her. The television personality has denied the allegations from Leray, reasoning that “Coi was raised in a mansion and had everything she ever asked for. My other two sons are grown and would never say these things.” She once again addressed him throughout the day on Monday (March 1) when the two engaged in a back-and-forth on Instagram.

Leray ranted in a video yesterday where her frustrations with her father were very evident. “It’s crazy ’cause we was just on the phone crying yesterday, sharing this moment. Like, really sharin’ the moment,” she said. “For this man to come on here and do this is so lame and this is the reason he burned all his bridges today.”

She added in another portion, “I’m on Rolling Stone breaking all types of records and this b*tch ass n*gga Benzino wants to f*cking come online and start f*cking with me instead of being a father and just supporting me.”

Benzino did not take these words from Leray too lightly. “Now I’m bro, n*gga and a b*tch ass n*gga. Really? Really? Me?” he wrote in disbelief. “This is the most disrespectful sh*t I’ve ever experienced. The names she just called [me] can never be forgiven or forgotten,” he declared.

“This not real. This is evil. I guess she had to play up to her fans and Executive’s. Nah this ain’t cool. But ok. I get it. This is the tough cool girl image. Ok,” he finished.

He followed up with a separate post on his Instagram page where he further expressed his dissatisfaction with the way Leray was addressing him. “The mindset of these kids are unbelievable. We are [in] deep trouble as a culture. They are so lost, disrespectful, out of touch with reality that it’s a damn shame,” he penned.

6ix9ine Taunts Meek Mill After Billboard Debut

When he was at the top of his game, Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was taunting all of his rivals (and there were a lot of them…) with his success on the Billboard charts. These days, he’s receiving virtually no love from the music industry. He doesn’t get editorial support, playlist support, or much of anything really. He’s solely working off the power of his name and his infamy, which is seemingly still working out for him after he debuted at #90 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with his new single “ZAZA”.

The rapper has been gloating about his recent success, rubbing it in the faces of his haters, especially Meek Mill, who allegedly had the music video pulled from the internet for “bullying”. The video featured a clip of Meek and 6ix9ine’s recent altercation outside of a Florida nightclub, and 6ix9ine shared the cease and desist letter that Meek’s legal team reportedly sent him.

“@meekmill YOU MADE IT TO THE BILLBOARD,” said 6ix9ine to Meek, who has been on the Billboard charts countless times in his career. He coupled the disrespectful caption with more bullying, sharing the video of them nearly getting into a fight once again.

What do you think 6ix9ine will do next? Or rather, who do you think he’ll come after, and will they bite at his bait like Meek did? Or better yet, do you even care anymore?

Method Man Blessed Scott Storch’s Keys On “Is It Me”

Today marks a major milestone occasion for one of hip-hop’s legendary lyricists, with Method Man officially celebrating his 50th birthday. Though the Wu-Tang bar-spitter needs no introduction, it certainly feels appropriate to highlight one of his many timeless tracks in honor of the big day. This one harkens back to 2006, when Method Man delivered his fourth studio album 4:21…The Day After on Def Jam Records. Though the project as a whole was slightly divisive, many agreed that the Scott Storch-produced “Is It Me” was an easy highlight from the project.

Blessed by some melancholic keys laced by the Piano Man in the midst of a triumphant run, Meth’s calm and collected demeanor shines throughout as he whips up some effortless flow-schemes. “Ask Def Jam what’s hot, three letters, M-E-F Man,” he spits. “Been stopped, that’s off-top, young, fresh to death / And you’re not, no matter what the job, I’m the best man / Rap C.E.O. minus the yes-man.”

Though some might have been put off by Meth’s deviation from RZA’s grimy production into something more pristine, others welcomed his foray into different territory. Years removed from the release of 4:21…The Day After, how do you feel this one has withstood the test of time? Check it out now, and be sure to show some love to the birthday man of the hour. Happy 50th Meth!

QUOTABLE LYRICS

As I brush off my shoulder, that’s right
My ni*ga Scott Storch keep bringing it back like
Oh boy, dig it, I talk about it and I live it
Been there, did it, shitted and wiped my ass with it
These critics saw the train for brains and must have missed it
If they ain’t got the shit, they’ll never get it
