Naya Rivera’s Father Calls Out Ryan Murphy For Not Creating College Fund For Little Josey

It was on a sunny California day when news began to circulate that Naya Rivera was missing after vising Lake Piru with her young son, Josey. Authorities became concerned when Josey was located by boaters floating alone on the boat rented by Rivera when they first arrived at the lake. Five days later, the actress’s loved ones received the tragic news that her body had been located and investigators shared it was their belief that Naya Rivera died saving her son’s life by pushing him back onto the boat before drowning.

Following her death, it’s reported that Rivera’s former Glee cast members along with the show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy, came together and vowed to set up a college fund for little Josey. Eight months later, Naya’s father George Rivera has taken to Twitter to call them out for not making good on their offer. “Everyone needs to know what Ryan Murphy really did … or didn’t do !!!” he tweeted. “I’m about to blow up this story …. and make sure he’s knows that I know.”

He continued in another tweet, “When you are part of the Hollywood elite, some people treat others as they are ‘less than’ …. vocalize a good game , but it’s as shallow as the sets on stage , that they create. Promises made in public, only to fade with time and excuses …. even in a unexplainable tragedy.” George Rivera added in another message, “Broken Promises….. fake outrage …. hollow gestures ….. no phone call.”

Murphy, who also created America Horror Story, became a trending topic as thousands of people criticized him based on George’s tweets alone. The awarded television producer was made aware of his brewing scandal and tweeted that there are still plans to create a college fund for Josey, but it takes time.

“Myself, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan have committed to create a college fund for Naya Rivera’s child Josey through the Naya Rivera Estate Trust,” tweeted Murphy about his fellow Glee creators. “We have been in repeated conversations with the appropriate executors of her estate.” Still, people have been flooding Twitter to share their criticisms. YBN Almighty Jay Claims Someone “Signed My Rights Away To Atlantic Records”

There has been attention drawn to the YBN crew recently after member Almighty Jay had a few things to say about people they had working on their team. YBN Nahmir previously shared that his triad with Jay and Cordae was a thing of the past but the trio still looks at one another as if they were brothers. They came up together and will continue to support one another, but Nahmir did note in an interview with VladTV that there were certain people that worked for them that he felt took advantage because they were young.

Last week, YBN Almighty Jay angrily posted about why he claims the YBN crew came to an end. “This n*gga James McMillan is a fraud. He sign n*ggas to janky deals and f*ck em over,” wrote Jay on Instagram. “Nobody knows NOTHING about the sh*t we go through on the daily basis being signed to this n*gga cause we cover for this n*ggas ass. I’m done with this sh*t.” He added that “YBN” had been trademarked behind their backs and claimed that because they were young and new to the industry, they were mishandled.

On Tuesday (March 9), Jay decided to continue his tirade and tweeted, “Didn’t have a choice when I signed… N*gga signed my rights away to Atlantic Records behind my back.” He didn’t offer up any more information about who or what he’s specifically speaking about this time, but it doesn’t seem as if it’s a problem that can be ignored. McMillan hasn’t yet issued a formal statement regarding YBN Almighty Jay’s accusations.

Too $hort Hilariously Explains Why Marriage Contracts Should Be Renewed Every Five Years

What began as a question about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s impending divorce turned into Too $hort sharing his thoughts on marriage. The rapper gave his funny take while appearing on VladTV and noted that we need to abolish the system we have in place and instead allow people to weigh their options every five years to determine whether or not they want to proceed with the relationship.

“Divorce does not surprise me,” Too $Short joked. “You come in here asking Too $hort about marriage ever f*ckin’ time and then you sit here and run down the high-profile divorces and I’m sitting there telling you my version of what I think a union is.” Then, he explained his views. “A union is when you get together and stay together.”

“You want to know my opinion on this marriage sh*t? I think that we need to reevaluate this whole sh*t and marriage should be an agreement we go into,” he said. “Sign this motherf*ckin’ agreement. In five years, this automatically dissolves if you can’t get two signatures to keep it going. So, if you both sign, you’re in for another five years. At ten years, you need two signatures again. Once you get past ten, the sh*t is on forever.”

He said his method gives people “two outs” at the five and ten-year marks. Vlad suggested if that is the case, there should be a five-year check-in for the remainder of the relationship. Too $hort wasn’t with it. “Nah, ’cause motherf*ckas gon’ be opting out way too late in the game,” he joked. “You keep me in for ten I’m stayin’. F*ck that.” He added that statistics say if you can make it 10 years, you have a better chance at staying together in a lifelong relationship.

Vlad couldn’t stop laughing at Short Dog’s commentary. “I’m just saying, you’re asking the wrong motherf*cker about relationships and marriage,” the rapper added. Watch Too $hort explain himself below and see what else he had to say about dipping into the cannabis industry.

Rod Wave Is All About His Business On “Street Runner” Single

In just two weeks, Rod Wave is returning with his new album, SoulFly. The project comes on the heels of the Florida rapper voicing his frustrations with his label over on Instagram back in January. “P*ssy ass label playing wit a n*gga sh*t I ain’t dropping sh*t f*ck ya pay me,” he wrote at the time. “Y’all wanna album ask @alamorecords.” Soon, the rapper returned to reveal that he and his label had come to an understanding so on March 26, SoulFly will arrive in full.

On Wednesday (March 10), Rod Wave dropped a single from the album titled “Street Runner,” the eighth song on SoulFly‘s tracklist. The rapper shared an accompanying music video that opens with the words, “Sorry for the wait, the album is finished, that you for rocking with me.” Rod Wave’s “Street Runner” is an introspective single that shows the rapper is more focused on building his brands than having a good time, and the visual seemed to match that energy as he’s seen jet-setting from filming a video to performing at a live show. Check it out and let us know if you’re excited for SoulFly.

Quotable Lyrics

I hope chasin’ my dreams don’t get in the way
I blame my struggles and my uncles for my hustlin’ ways

Lord knows I wanna lay ya down but I’m chasin’ cake
Can’t go back broke, stay on the go, that’s all that’s on my brain

Guapdad 4000 And P-Lo Look To Satisfy Their Partners’ Bedroom Needs In The Wacky ‘She Wanna’ Video

Nearly two years removed from his debut album, Dior Deposits, Guapdad 4000 is gearing up to release his upcoming effort, 1176 with Illmind. The Oakland rapper takes one step closer to the project’s release which his latest single, “She Wanna” featuring fellow Bay Area act, P-Lo. The track is a play off Ying Yang Twins’ “Wait (The Whisper Song)” and arrives with a wacky visual that falls in line with Guapdad’s unique personality.

After waking up next to a pair of women, the rapper quickly declares that he’s dealing with someone who wants to “f*ck all the time.” He proceeds to steal a few credit cards before getting ready for the day. For the rest of the video, we see him receive a fresh batch of cookies, caress the pregnant belly of the presumed mother of his child, show off some dance moves, and more. As for P-Lo, his appearances in the video are limited to his face camouflaged onto the different colored walls in the house the video was shot at.

“She Wanna” is the second single from the upcoming album following “How Many” which is produced by Illmind. Shortly before the song was released, the producer showed love to Guapdad in a warm post. “I’m so proud of Guapdad and I’m proud of myself because we challenged each other,” he said. “That pressure made some diamonds and we can’t wait to show this project to the world. This single is the beginning of what’s to come.” Guapdad also confirmed that the new album would arrive on March 19.

Beyonce Thanks Meghan Markle For Her ‘Courage And Leadership’ In A Message Of Support

One of the few ways Beyonce directly communicates with her fans is through her website, Beyonce.com, where the queen of pop frequently posts updates and messages of support to friends and fellow celebrities. Today, she used that space to stand in solidarity with Meghan Markle, the American actress of the show Suits, mother of Archie, wife of Harry Mountbatten-Windsor, and once known as the Duchess Of Sussex. Markle was the first person of color to marry into the British monarchy when she wed Prince Harry in 2018, and as an exclusive interview with Oprah revealed this past weekend, the prejudicial treatment she faced because of this was nearly unbearable.

Luckily, Meghan and Harry’s bond was strong enough that the pair decided to step back from their roles within the royal family, and come to live in America, instead. But as Markle shared in Sunday’s bombshell interview, the environment was so toxic before reaching this decision that she was driven to the point of suicidal ideation. Given all that context, it is probably quite a balm to have a legendary figure like Beyonce stand with her. “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership,” Beyonce wrote alongside a photo of herself and Meghan at The Lion King premiere. “We are all strengthened and inspired by you.”

As always, Beyonce says it best. Then again, John Oliver’s predictions weren’t too far off either.

Cardi B Didn’t Reach Out To Megan Thee Stallion For A Year Because She Was Too Shy

The “WAP” craze has dissipated in recent months, but Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s megahit continues to be a social media sensation. The pair of artists came together during quarantine to deliver an explicit and controversial single that even had political pundits talking, and whether or not audiences approved of the lyrical content, “WAP” kept racking up numbers. Cardi recently admitted that Megan had been on her radar for some time but she was too nervous to reach out to the Houston Hottie.

“Megan came out and for like a whole year, I never interacted with her because I was like, I don’t know,” Cardi said while on iHeartRadio Presents SeeHer Hear Her: Celebrating Women in Music. “I’m too shy and everything. I feel like other artists are shy, too. Should I be cool with her? I don’t know if she likes me.”

“It’s always about breaking the ice and always having a conversation and catching somebody at the right time. We linked up and she’s just such a good vibe,” Cardi continued. She added that this weekend, she’ll be rooting for Meg at the Grammys as the Houston rapper is up for four nomination in categories including Best New Artist and Best Rap Song.

I always want to see her win and I think she feels the same way about me, too,” Cardi added. “And every single time I see her doing good, I just get so happy.” As Megan Thee Stallion awaits her fate regarding her nominations, Cardi is preparing to perform at the award ceremony along with Lil Baby, Doja Cat, DaBaby, and many others.

T-Pain Believes He’s A Major Influence On Artists Using Auto-Tune

There was a time when T-Pain was consistently ridiculed for his use of auto-tune. The artist’s music has transcended genres as he’s drifted through Rap, Hip Hop, Pop, and more, and while many of his singles topped the charts and are considered classics today, T-Pain faced an onslaught of backlash over his sound. Now, you can’t listen to a Rap playlist without being confronted with track after track where an artist is utilizing auto-tune to its fullest degree, and T-Pain believes he’s influenced the culture.

T-Pain caught up with Black Girl Nerds and said that he’s not bothered by the “jokes and comments” about his use of auto-tune because it’s been replicated in today’s music. “The way that it’s spread and the way that everybody’s using it now, that lets me know I’ve been doing the right thing from the beginning, ’cause if I wasn’t doing the right thing, nobody else would have done it. Why would you copy something that’s bad? I know I’ve been doing the right thing from the jump.”

He was asked if he believes that he was an influence for people to use auto-tune and T-Pain answered, “Absolutely.” He added, “It hasn’t gone anywhere. It hasn’t been any different. And the fact that people are—even newer artists are still using it and people are coming into it and still using it. I knew I was doing the right thing. I needed everybody else to catch on.”

The music icon also spoke about his Verzuz with Lil Jon and said that after it was over, his phone wouldn’t stop ringing off the hook. Check out T-Pain’s full interview with Black Girl Nerds below and revisit his classic hit “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” featuring Yung Joc.

Sukihana And Saucy Santana Keep It Raunchy And Risque In Their Video For ‘Food Stamp H*e’

Sukihana is making it very hard to ignore her growing presence in the rap game. The Florida native has delivered her latest impressive tracks thanks to “Food Stamp H*e,” her collaboration with Saucy Santana. It comes with a video, too, which begins with them as correctional officers tasked with watching a trio of prisoners clean up litter from a grassy area. After one of them goes on the run, Sukihana ends up injured due to a nasty fall from a horse. This is where things take a wild turn.

The injury earns her a $100,000 settlement, which she decides to use on an “experimental plastic surgery.” For the remainder, Sukihana turns things up by getting up close and personal with her plastic surgeon and joining a few ladies by the pool to twerk their lives away. Saucy Santana steps in to deliver an energetic verse that only boosts the main message of Sukihana’s track.

“Food Stamp H*e” arrives after Sukihana joined muni long for their sexy video for “Thot Thoughts.” The Florida rapper also engaged in a fiery back-and-forth rap battle with Chicago rapper Cupcakke. Prior to that, she delivered her debut mixtape Wolf P*ssy.
