Nas and Eddie Murphy are both legends in their own right, with Nas dubbed as one of the greatest emcees of all time, while Murphy has similarly been recognized as one of the best stand-up comedians of all time. The hip-hop heavyweight is partnering up with the comedic legend to release a collaborative merchandise collection for the comedian’s forthcoming Amazon Prime exclusive film Coming 2 America, which will debut exclusively on March 5.
The 13-piece limited-edition line consists of joggers, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies, baseball hats and beanies, with prices ranging from $65-$195. “I’ve been a huge fan since the original movie came out in 1988. Our brand HSTRY is all about celebrating history, with an emphasis on Black History, African History and Royalty,” Nas said about the collection in a statement. “With this collab we aimed to capture that royal essence of Zamunda while representing the street style of Queens NY to the WORLD.”
Eddie Murphy recently sat down with Complex where he discussed how many people did not realize that he plays the role of the old Jewish character in the original film.
“That’s my favorite thing. When we did the first Coming To America, we went to an after-party or something and Jesse Jackson was there. And he was like, ‘I just wanna tell ya that I’m so happy that you reached out and gave some of the older actors some parts. Those old guys have great charisma.’ I was like n—a that was me and Arsenio. He was like, ‘What, now I got to go see the movie over.’ And that’s my favorite thing is for someone to watch the movie and not know it’s me,” Murphy explained.
He also expanded on how critics gave the original Coming To America movie scathing reviews, which he chalked up to it being, “the first movie in the history of movies where you have an all-Black cast and the movie is successful all around the world.”

Twitter is a funny place, especially when Kevin Durant pops out. Notorious for his social media behavior, including a burner account, he seemingly had the last straw yesterday when he found out there was another KD in the world: Kash Doll. The Detroit rapper got on Twitter where she was admittedly feeling herself, tweeting, “All these n***as wanna f*ck KD.” Kevin Durant fired back within minutes, “You did not have to use those initials to get this tweet off… U Have to relax with the KD talk, your name is KASHDOLL.” However, Kash Doll wasn’t going to let that slide. “I’m the real KD…. your name Kevin Durant act accordingly,” she wrote.
The exchange went viral with the Internet chiming in with their fair share of jokes but it was 50 Cent that found a perfect marketing opportunity. Fif and Kash Doll might be getting money together on the upcoming BMF series but Fif is at a crossroads since he is a fan of both. “KD got dat jumper, and KD got dat bumper. either way i’m a KD fan,” he wrote. However, he’s still Kash Doll’s boss. Naturally, he was wondering why she was exchanging shots with Kevin Durant while still on the clock. “Kash Doll is filming BMF, how she find time to just take KD name from him,” he added.
Unfortunately, we won’t get to see Kash Doll and Kevin Durant face-off anytime soon to find out who, out of the two, is the better KD. Kash Doll is open to it, as well, whether it’s in the booth or on the court. “Aye 50 we can have a rap battle or go on the court! He lucky i can’t go to the allstar game,” she captioned. Even if she did find a way to get to the All-Star Game, chances are she wouldn’t have been able to confront Kevin Durant. Not just because it’s pandemic but because he’ll be sitting out during that weekend’s festivities. Pacers star Domantas Sabonis is expected to replace Durant on the Eastern Conference All-Star team.
Dionne Warwick has become everyone’s favorite auntie on Twitter. The legendary singer has graced her growing social media fan base with phenomenal content that ranges from poking fun at the young generation of artists to seeking knowledge about them as well. All in all, it’s been a joy to watch Warwick work through the Twitter world and it was only a matter of time before Saturday Night Live emulated her personality on the show, something the cast did during their most recent episode.
Setting up the stage for her daily show, Ego Nwodim played the role of Warwick for the Dionne Warwick Talk Show. The sketch began with Kenan Thompson, who appeared dressed as The Weeknd in his current After Hours plastic surgery look. She asked him about his apparent plastic surgery addiction, confusing his “love” for it as the basis of his “Can’t Feel My Face” track.
Warwick quickly rushed him off stage and invited Nick Jonas, who hosted and performed on the SNL episode, to replace him. The comical questions continued as she asked Nick, who is currently a coach on The Voice, how he could be a more boring contributor to the show than fellow coach John Legend. Warwick also mixed up him with his fellow Jonas brother, Joe, before asking Nick a daring question about his manhood.
The sketch continued with an appearance from Dua Lipa, played by Melissa Villasenor, who agreed to join Warwick in egging Wendy Williams’ house. Lastly Machine Gun Kelly, played by Pete Davidson, joined to close the show, but Warwick was extremely disturbed by his look and quickly asked him to leave.

Akbar V is not one to shy away from entertaining more raunchier discussions across her social media platforms. Last month, the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star raunchily shot her shot at Drake in a hilarious remake of Alicia Key’s “You Don’t Know My Name” music video following his viral workout photos. She then aimed her fire at Chris Brown with a similar scandalous undertone. In her more recent social media antics, the rapper recalled on some intimate time she spent with rapper Young Thug, alledging the two used to be an item.
In a series of some-now deleted tweets, the reality TV star launched into a discussion about her and her alleged former rapper fling. She penned in one tweet, “YoungThug said he hit every girl in the roc technically he didn’t hit me i only gave him the best h*ead he could ever get from a fat bitch.” She added, “…boy oh boy i think that’s y i got so mad them years ago that d*ck was so long and yummy…before the fame.” She finished with a YSL “slatt” paired with a snake emoji.
In a second tweet, she claimed the rapper, “use to be like ima give you a baby when you lose weight lol i lost weight where the f*ck my baby at.”
She’s since deleted most of the more R-rated tweets, but fans managed to capture screenshots of the suggestive ones. In a repost of the tweets on Instagram, she jokingly commented, “I’m hacked y’all that’s John on my Twitter.” She did leave two tweets up, neither of them touching on the spicy topics the others did.
Young Thug has never spoken out about the alleged relationship between the two.
This has been an interesting season for the New York Knicks who are experiencing their first campaign under the expertise of head coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau has a solid reputation around the league and so far, he has made the most of his new opportunity as the Knicks have been the biggest surprise in the league. After last night’s win, the Knicks are 17-17 and are tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
There have been plenty of rumors concerning this team and some of the moves they may potentially make. According to the New York Daily News, the Knicks are actually interested in Karl-Anthony Towns, who played under Thibodeau during the head coach’s stint in Minnesota. As per the report, Thibodeau is fully on board with the potential move.
This past week, Towns was adamant that he actually wants to stay in Minnesota and he is committed to building something in the city. Unfortunately, the T-Wolves remain one of the worst teams in the Western Conference and if things don’t improve soon, there is a real chance that Towns could have a change of heart. If that happens, New York might be the best place for him.

Sabrina Peterson blew the top off on T.I. and Tiny’s alleged history of sexual abuse against women after she came forward about a violent encounter she had with the Atlanta-bred rapper. Since then, multiple women have come forward with their own allegations of abuse against both T.I. and his wife Tiny, alleging they headed a sex trafficking service in which they would force women to take illicit substances before engaging in sexual acts with them and others. According to a report from The New York Times, a lawyer representing 11 of the women involved in the case has asked authorities to launch a full criminal investigation on the charges.

In a letter sent to prosecutors by lawyer Tyrone A. Blackburn, allegations against the couple include accounts of “sexual abuse, forced ingestion of illegal narcotics, kidnapping, terroristic threats and false imprisonment” by the couple and members of their crew, per The New York Times.
“On several occasions, T.I. forced her to take multiple ecstasy pills” and “the duo forced her to engage in sexual acts with different women against her will,” Mr. Blackburn wrote about a woman, who chose to remain anonymous, who was interviewed by the newspaper about her experience. “She has personally witnessed women complaining of being kidnapped and held against their will for days at a time.”
Blackburn told the Times he sent letters seeking criminal investigations to different attorney offices across America like U.S. Attorneys for the Northern District of Georgia and the Central District of California, the Los Angeles County District Attorney, as well as the state attorneys general of California and Georgia. He notes he’s received notices of their delivery, but no formal investigation has been launched yet.
T.I. and Tiny’s lawyer have vehemently denied all the claims thus far, and their reality TV show T.I. And Tiny: Friends And Family Hustle remains on hold until further notice. We’ll keep you updated as the case develops.

Dak Prescott suffered a horrific injury during the early stages of the 2020 season as he completely dislocated his ankle, leading to a gruesome scene. As a result of this injury, Prescott missed the entire 2020 season and now, it remains to be seen whether or not he will have a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Regardless, it seems like he has made some massive progress on his injury, and fans are excited to finally see him back on the field.
According to Sports Illustrated, a source close to the Cowboys says that Prescott should be at or near 100 percent by the time April rolls around, which means he will be able to participate in any offseason activities.
While this is definitely good news for Cowboys fans, they aren’t out of the woods just yet. Prescott wants to be paid like a top 3 quarterback in the entire NFL, and Jerry Jones has been reluctant to make this happen. If this is the case, he could get hit with yet another franchise tag, which would completely erupt his relationship with the team’s management. Even former players like Troy Aikman have sounded the alarm for this very reason.
