Kid Cudi Escapes To A Higher Place In His Elevating Video For ‘Mr. Solo Dolo III’

At the end of last year, Kid Cudi released his seventh album, Man On The Moon III: The Chosen. It was his first solo, full-length effort since 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ and first overall since 2018’s Kids See Ghost, which he made with Kanye West. The album was a strong continuation of the rapper’s trademark series, and nearly a year after its release, Cudi returns with a new video for one of its tracks, “Mr. Solo Dolo III.” It finds Cudi enjoying a blunt in various places, like a studio, a party, and in the pool.

Cudi recently joined Young Thug and Strick for their own video, for their collaboration “Moon Man,” which showed the trio chowing down on a massive stack of pancakes. Cudi also spoke about Lil Nas X and explained why he thinks he will break down hip-hop’s “homophobic cloud.”

“When I saw the tweet about Nas’ album Montero not featuring Black male artists, and he replied that ‘maybe a lot of them just don’t wanna work with me,’ that made me sad,” Cudi wrote about Lil Nas for Time magazine’s 100 most influential people list. “There’s a homophobic cloud over hip-hop, and he’s going to break that sh*t down. We have to stand with him. I’m going to do whatever I have to do to let him know—you have my support. When we do our song together, however trippy the video is, let’s get sexy with it.”

Air Jordan 5 “Shattered Backboard” Gets A New Name

One of the most popular shoes on HNHH right now is the Air Jordan 5 “Shattered Backboard.” The shoe was given that nickname as it contains a similar color scheme to the previous Air Jordan 1 models of the same name. In the official images below, you can see how the sneaker has a mostly white upper all while orange, black, and silver highlights are placed all the way throughout. It’s a dope model and one that fans have been excited about.

Now, it appears as though the shoe is getting another name entirely. It seemed evident that the “Shattered Backboard” name was always a placeholder, as Jordan Brand holds that nomenclature in high esteem. Instead, the shoe will be going by the name “Orange Blaze” which is yet another nickname that certainly makes a whole lot of sense.

For now, it is being reported that these kicks will be available as of October 2nd for $190 USD. Let us know if you plan on copping a pair, in the comments section below. Also, stay tuned to HNHH as we will always be sure to bring you the latest updates from the sneaker world.

Trinidad James Stands Up For Nicki Minaj Amid Vaccine Controversy

Over the past week, Nicki Minaj‘s tweets regarding the COVID-19 vaccine have caused quite a stir. The mother of one is currently facing flack from the online community, other celebrities, and political figures in both Trinidad and the United States.

While at LAX, TMZ caught up with Trinidad James, who also hails from Minaj’s home country, to get his take on her controversial comments.

“I think that because Nicki is such a high political power, and she is Trinidadian… I think that she is deserved the respect to sit down and have a peaceful conversation about what’s going on.”

He continued, “If she is correct, then some people owe her an apology. If she’s incorrect, then they still need to respectfully sit down as adults.”

James then went on to talk about how some of Minaj’s followers have begun public ally protesting around the country on her behalf.

“You have power, and with power, you have to use it responsibly,” the 33-year-old said.

When asked if he thinks that there’s missinformation about COVID-19 being spread on the island of Trinidad, James said that things are much different there than they are in America – just one or two cases can cause a great concern because of the smaller population.

“You can’t fault a Prime Minister for blowing something out of proportion, because he has to protect his people…That’s why they need to sit down, because Nicki cares about her people too.”

What are your thoughts on Minaj’s tweets about the vaccine? Comment and let us know.

Keys N Krates Enlists Juicy J, Chip & Marbl On “Original Classic”

Toronto based electronic duo Keys N Krates have been pushing the boundaries since they emerged in 2008. They combine the ethos of electronic music with live instrumentation for a truly unique experience, both on wax and during their live sets. This week, they announced their forthcoming project, Original Classic which is due out later this month. Accompanying the announcement was the release of the project’s title track which includes appearances from Juicy J, Chip, and Marbl.

Tory Lanez Switches Up His Flow While Remixing Capella Grey’s “Gyalis”

Throughout his career, Tory Lanez has always been a master when it comes to the remix. While the artist was eventually able to find his voice with his own music, there is no doubt that Lanez shines when giving his own interpretation of well-established songs. Just a few months ago, Capella Grey came out with a song of the summer contender called “Gyalis,” and now, Tory is back with a quick 1:45 remix of the track that does a great job at paying homage to the original.

With this track, Lanez keeps the original production and matches the tone of the track with his delivery. As he begins the track, he starts off with a bit of a softer tone although it crescendos into a new flow where Lanez is able to flex his vocal capabilities. Overall, it is a very solid effort and fans of the original will definitely want to check out this song.

Jamie Foxx Roots For Michael K. Williams’ Post Humorous Emmy Win: “We Need To Have That”

It’s been several weeks since the world said a tragic goodbye to actor Michael K. Williams, but the heartfelt tributes from his celebrity friends have still been pouring in. Most recently, Jamie Foxx shared some emotional words about what the pair’s friendship meant to him.

While he was out and about in Beverly Hills, Foxx was stopped by TMZ, who asked him if he feels that Williams should win a post humourous Emmy.

“Man, we talked about this before,” the Django Unchained star began. “There’s some people that you see in our business that you know are just better than you… I hope he’s recognized in the biggest way.”

“It’s so personal man, just a few weeks ago we were all breaking bread and talking about life. You don’t know how quickly things can change,” Foxx said with obvious emotion.

When asked what Williams being awarded an Emmy would mean, the 53-year-old responded with, “everything.”

“We need to have that because I just want as many people in the world to know that this man lived an artistic life that was above normal,” he added.

Foxx then goes on to compare his late friend to the likes of Hollywood greats like Samuel L. Jackson and Joe Morton.

TMZ reports that Williams was nominated as best supporting actor for his work on “Lovecraft Country,” and that he was considered a shoo-in for the award prior to his passing.

It’s been decided that if he wins, the actor’s nephew, Dominic Dupont, will be the one to accept the honour in his place.

Williams was just 54 when he was discovered dead in his New York apartment earlier this month. RIP.
