Big Sean Hints At Kanye West Owing Him $6 Million In Since Deleted Tweet

This Thursday, Kanye West appeared on the Drink Champs podcast with N.O.R.E and DJ EFN. As you may have already guessed, several moments from the episode have since been spread across the internet at rapid speed, as always happens when the “Ghost Town” rapper gives an interview.

Of the many controversial comments made by the father of four, perhaps the most intriguing was when he threw shade at Big Sean, saying signing the 33-year-old was one of “the worst” things he’s ever done. Once Sean Don heard about the GOOD Music founder’s comments, he was quick to hop on Twitter and share his side of the story.

“Was just wit this man, he ain’t say none of that!!!! And this was after the interview! I’m dying laughing at you @kanyewest,” the “Blessings” artist tweeted along with some photos of him and Ye hanging out. “I can’t wait to go on Drink Champs now!!!” Big Sean wrote in another tweet.

The string of messages prompted plenty of reactions from fans, including one where someone pointed out that Ye allegedly owes his former signee a pretty large chunk of cash. “Kanye owes Big Sean $3M and said he’d give Sean his masters too which he never ended up doing, and Sean never complained about either publicly. He’s just too nice,” the Twitter user wrote.

Screenshots obtained by XXL Magazine show that the Detroit 2 artist replied, “Not 3, more like 6,” then quickly deleted the post.

In the Champ Talks interview, Ye reveals that his beef with Sean comes from the rapper not voting for him during his failed presidential run. The Chicago born star also discussed the infamous Drake drama, leaving Soulja Boy off DONDA, and being “richer” than Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, Jay-Z, and more.

Top 7 Shots Kanye West Fired During His “Drink Champs” Appearance

When it was announced that the artist formerly known as Kanye West was slated to appear on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs, nobody knew exactly what to expect.

Drink Champs is batting a thousand when it comes to getting artists to share their true feelings. Whether that’s because N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN are legends of the game, and their show has become one of the premier platforms for the “realest” rap interviews, or because both hosts and guests are under the spell of a little liquid encouragement; the show often provides a window into the inner workings of the hip-hop industry.

And although Ye has never been shy about broadcasting his thoughts on a wide range of topics, it was unknown what he would bring to his Drink Champs appearance, especially considering the rollercoaster ride that has been Donda and its aftermath. But like they have with every other guest that’s sat in that third chair, N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN got Ye to deep dive into every corner of every question fans have been asking for the past couple of months.

Throughout the interview, Ye set the story straight on a ton of drama he’s been involved with over the last year, including the details of his divorce with Kim Kardashian, and what really happened when he leaked Drake’s Toronto address.

As the show progressed, however, everybody got a little more comfortable and a lot less calculated, and Yeezy took a couple of shots at people with whom he has an established history. Included with Ye’s own disclaimer that he’s “saying names because [he] don’t like subliminals,” and that nothing he said “was shocking,” the internet and some of his targets have already disagreed.

Ye’s Drink Champs appearance is nearly two-and-a-half hours long, so for the sake of time, here are the most notable shots the “Off The Grid” rapper fired during his conversation with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN.

1. Ye Says Travis Scott Is Copying Him

Around the 1:44 mark of Drink Champs, Ye dives into the idea of “the originators,” aka the people who built hip-hop from the ground up. But along the way, he accused Travis Scott of biting his style. “I don’t mind the copycats,” he said. “But by the way, you just gotta say it like it is. If somebody copied me, I’d be like ‘you copied me!’ I tell Trav, you copied me, boy. I love you, but just know what it is.”

2. Ye Says He Doesn’t Like How Talib Kweli Raps

An hour and twenty minutes into the interview, N.O.R.E. asks Ye who he’d take between Common and Talib Kweli. Ye answers definitively — Common, and makes sure everyone knows how much of a no-brainer it is. “Common is a 1,000x better rapper than Kweli, what is you talking about?,” Ye questioned. “I love Kweli, I never really liked the way he rap … We can never mention Common and Kweli in the same breath, keep it going.”

3. Ye Calls Out Jay-Z, the CEO

Despite Dame Dash’s recent comments that he wants to squash his beef with Jay-Z, N.O.R.E. couldn’t help but ask who Ye preferred as a CEO, and despite referring to Hov as his “boss” multiple times throughout the interview, he said he was rocking with Dame all the way. Right after taking a shot of brown liquor, Ye made it clear whose business acumen he respected more. “Absolutely, one thousand percent, Dame Dash,” Yeezy proclaimed. “Dame Dash the visionary. He the original Black hipster. I’m the devil’s worst nightmare, I’m Dame Dash with money.”

4. Ye Builds Soulja Boy Up, Then Tears Him Back Down

Right after Donda dropped at the end of August, Soulja Boy said he was left off the album and dropped his “Remote Control” verse anyways. Ye took some time on Drink Champs to address that. Building the “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” rapper up, saying he is one of the “top-five most influential” artists who made rap what it is today, Ye was cut off by N.O.R.E., who asked why he left Soulja Boy off Donda. Sarcastically, Ye answered, “You ain’t hear that verse?,” implying it was *that* bad and followed with a resounding, “Nah,” when N.O.R.E. clarified that the verse was not good.

5. Ye Compares Kamala Harris To Drake

On the Jay-Z-assisted “Jail,” Hov says that Ye is putting the red hat (a tribute to Donald Trump) away. On Drink Champs, Ye said not so fast. Making it very clear that he is still wearing the literal and figurative red hat, Ye took a shot at Vice President Kamala Harris, and his biggest enemy, Drake. “You know Pusha voted Democrat — voted for Kamala — we ain’t seen her since the election either. They got 94 of the black female vote you would have thought Drake was running.”

6. Ye Says He’d Smoke Drake In A Verzuz Battle

Coming into Drink Champs, everybody wanted to know what Ye would say about Drake, and he said a lot. We’ll dive all-the-way into all of shots and backhanded remarks Ye sent Drake’s way soon, but for now, let’s just focus on Ye’s comments that he would destroy Drizzy in a Verzuz Battle. With Ye pondering the idea of a Verzuz battle with Drake, and shutting down the idea of a battle with Jay-Z because that’s “[his] boss,” N.O.R.E. asked if he’d beat Drake. “If Swizz and Timbaland say ‘You and Drake against one another,’ you’re saying you gon’ take it, and you gon’ smoke him?,” N.O.R.E. asked.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Ye answered. “But it already happened. He played one of my leaked songs and it was better than every other song this year.”

7. Ye Says Signing Big Sean Was The Worst Thing He Ever Did

Everybody knows the story of Kanye West and Big Sean. Ye was at a radio station in Detroit, Big Sean rushed there so he could rap for him. Ye was impressed, signed him to G.O.O.D. Music and the rest is history. Ye put Sean on, featured on “Marvin & Chardonnay,” “Blessings,” and a couple of other songs throughout the years, and Sean repeatedly thanked him for it, on records and in interviews.

But according to Ye, signing Big Sean to G.O.O.D. was the worst thing he ever did. “When I die, on my tombstone, it’s gonna say ‘I deserve to be here because I signed Big Sean … the worst thing I’ve ever done is sign Big Sean,” Ye assured N.O.R.E. “Man, I know this man mama, bro. You know what I’m saying? I changed this man family. And both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the democrats to come at they boy, that actually changed they life. And that’s some sellout shit. And I don’t rock with neither of them. And I need my apologies.”

Doodie Lo’s Ex-GF Wants Lie Detector Test About Child Molestation Claims

The ex-girlfriend of rapper Doodie Lo is speaking out about the child molestation accusations that she introduced last week, claiming that she is presently waiting to take a lie detector test to prove the validity of her allegations.

Last week, rapper FTN Bae, the ex-girlfriend of Doodie Lo, accused the rising OTF-affiliated artist of sexually abusing her five-year-old son by allegedly shoving three screws into the boy’s anus. Doodie Lo denied the allegations and said that his ex-girlfriend’s audio recording was edited, but FTN Bae wants all parties to take a lie detector test to show who’s actually telling the truth.

According to the latest update in this developing story, FTN Bae addressed her followers on Instagram Live and said that she’s waiting to be flown out to take a test.

“It’s all gonna be worth it. It’s all gonna be worth it. It’s all gonna be worth it,” she repeated. “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, that’s all I’m gonna say because my God is gonna make this work. And at the end of the day, take the test! But other than that, I don’t wanna hear anybody saying, ‘He wants to clear his name, he wants to do his lie detector test, I believe him cause he’s calling and he’s interviewing and she’s not,’ I don’t have to talk to you guys. I don’t have to talk to you guys about shit. Tell him to take the test. ‘Cause they reached out and I’m ready. I’m ready. I been ready goddamn five days ago. Fly us out, come on, let’s do it. Put me on the machine, let’s go, ask me what you want. Ask me what you want, let’s go. Been ready! I’m waiting, we’re waiting so we’re waiting.”

We will continue to keep you updated as more information comes out regarding the allegations against OTF Doodie Lo.

Quotable Lyrics:

Hundred band, hundred band, guns in the Sprinter van
Never play middleman, we gotta get a man
If I don’t feel a man, we gotta kill a man
Spin like a ceiling fan, not for the dividends
Reaping the benefits like he an immigrant
Lot of artillery, special delivery
Show my agility and my ability
Go on a killing spree like we the military

NFL Makes A Decision On Aaron Rodgers’ Deception

Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will not be suspended following his violation of the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols after lying about his personal vaccination status, per Fox Sports’ analyst Jay Glazer. Rather, Glazer reports the NFL is currently deciding whether or not to issue fines towards Rodgers and the Packers, as no suspension is currently imminent.

Rodgers previously told reporters that he was “immunized”, which was then interpreted as him being vaccinated under the NFL’s COVID-19 guidelines. After news of Rodgers recent contraction of the coronavirus, it was also reported that the Packers star quarterback was in fact not vaccinated, stemming a new issue for the NFL surrounding one of their star players.

Aaron Rodgers, not even a year removed from being awarded his third NFL MVP trophy, now faces the repercussions of attending press conferences and walking around team facilities all while unmasked and unvaccinated. The NFL, its player’s association, and the city of Green Bay have direct rules against Rodgers’ behavior or any other unvaccinated player who doesn’t comply with the masked mandates. This leaves the NFL in a tough position, as they attempt to prevent this from becoming a reoccurring issue across the league. However, it seems a looming suspension for Rodgers is currently off the table.

As of now, Rodgers will need at least 10 days and must provide two negative tests in order to be cleared to return to his duties as the Packers’ signal caller. In his interim, quarterback Jordan Love will start on the road versus the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday, before the Packers gear up to play the Seattle Seahawks in Green Bay next week. A game in which Packers fans hope Rodgers will have a shot at playing in.

Kanye West Remains Loyal To Trump: “I Still Got A Red Hat On Today”

Kanye West’s support for Donald Trump during his presidency is well-documented. He sported Trump’s trademark red Make America Great Again hat regularly during the era when he released albums like ye and Kids See Ghosts, even rocking it on the Saturday Night Live Stage.

While we had not heard Kanye’s take on Trump for quite some time, he changed that last night during his Drink Champs interview. When asked if he was speaking to either Joe Biden or Donald Trump during his 2020 presidential run, he explained that he was not and still supported Trump: “You know, it was really hard for me to get in contact with both of them. In all actuality I had to tweet at them. This was after I had the red hat, but I still have the red hat on today. I still got a red hat on today I’ll let y’all know that. I might not got it on but I’ll let y’all know where I stand.”

Kanye’s presidential run ended up being a dud, as him and Trump were both defeated by Joe Biden. It is a bit peculiar that West advocated for Trump, because he has never voted for him. In 2016, West proclaimed that he did not vote in the election, and in 2020, he voted for himself.

It does not seem like he would vote for Trump if he ran for president in 2024 either, as he has discussed running again for the presidency in the next election.

Either way, Kanye has not wavered from his support for Donald Trump after all these years, and still proudly wears his MAGA hat against most of his friends’ wishes.

Finally, At Long Last, Dolly Parton Will Guest Star On ‘Grace And Frankie’ For The Full ‘9 To 5’ Reunion

Adding Dolly Parton to any project is always a good idea, but it gets even better when it finally completes a long-awaited reunion with her 9 to 5 costars, which is exactly what’s happening on Netflix’s Grace and Frankie. According to a new report, Parton will guest star on the series’ seventh and final season, putting her back on screen with Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. Via TVLine:

For the uninitiated: 9 to 5 was released in 1980, and starred Parton, Fonda and Tomlin as the above-mentioned Doralee, Judy and Violet, three working women who decide to get revenge on their sexist boss (played by Dabney Coleman). The movie went on to gross over $100 million at the box office.

At the moment, Parton’s role on Frankie and Grace is being kept under wraps, but she will appear in the show’s final 12 episodes that will drop sometime in 2022. (Four episodes were released early in August to tide over fans.)

When it wraps up its seven-season run next year, Grace and Frankie will have the distinct honor of having the most amount of episodes for a Netflix original series. While Orange Is the New Black is the current record holder at 91 episodes, Grace and Frankie will top that by streaming 94 episodes when the final season premieres. And, now, the show will get to say it had Dolly Parton stop by for a freaking 9 to 5 reunion, so yeah, try and top that, whichever Netflix series is still racking up episodes. (Narcos, maybe? — Nope, that’s not it. It’ll come to us.)

Doubters And Rejection Only Fuel Turbeazy

It can be hard to live up to the standard set by your parents, especially if one of them made their name in your industry. But up-and-coming New York rapper Turbeazy is both following in his father’s footsteps and blazing his own path.

Turbeazy remembers going to his father’s concerts as a kid; formative experiences that gave him his first exposure to hip-hop. When his dad became a DJ, Turbeazy took advantage of the moment, feasting on a fully fleshed-out collection of rap records that also helped to influence his career choice.

“At school, I used to freestyle,” Turbeazy says, “and one day somebody told me I should rap, so I ended up going to one of these kids that somebody put me on to that had a studio.”

Thanks to a laptop his mother gave him, Turbeazy kept recording, even while in the Army. When he got out, the education continued with classes that helped him forge a career as an audio engineer at Manhattan’s Fight Klub Studios.

When he records now, Turbeazy is sure to keep one foot in the past, allowing the influence from his father’s career and record collection to find its way into his music.

“In order to move forward, you gotta be able to know and acknowledge the past,” he says. “I still feel like that needs to be represented. It’s something that I was raised to appreciate, coming from a household of an artist and a person who was deep into hip-hop culture. I love and appreciate how far music has evolved.”

While Turbeazy is forging his way forward, his journey hasn’t been without challenges.

“When I was in the Army, nobody really wanted me to rap,” he says. “They thought it was funny. I had a few supporters, but when it was time for me to leave, they were saying, ‘You should re-up and stay in the Army. You can be a good soldier.’ I was like, ‘I want to go to school. I want to be a rapper.’ People were like, ‘That’s a stupid idea.’”

He also remembers being rejected when he tried to pass somebody in the industry a flash drive of his music. It’s something that could discourage someone, but Turbeazy turned it into fuel, telling us that it made him “want to go harder.” And so far, that persistence is paying off. Turbeazy’s profile is steadily increasing and he has songs racking up tens of thousands of plays on platforms like Spotify and SoundCloud. The way Turbeazy sees it, staying positive and dedicated, especially when the goal seems so far away, is the only way forward.
