Key Glock Tells Nothing But The Truth On “Something Bout Me”

In a recent interview for HNHH’s On The Come Up series, Key Glock explained that, although he doesn’t like doing sequels, he had to make Yellow Tape 2

“I never planned on even doing a sequel,” Glock told HNHH. “But I just had to keep it going because the first one made so much of a statement.” And to kick off the brand-new, 20-track, featureless Yellow Tape 2the Memphis rapper stays making a statement, and picks up right where Yellow Tape left off.

You can feel what type of record “Something Bout Me” is about to be from the very second the beat comes on. Spitting over an aggressive bassline and ominous keys courtesy of Tay Keith, Glock gets right into it. Flexing everything from his jewelry to his nine cars that don’t need any keys, Key Glock is relentless in his delivery, and in the pursuit of the money.

Accompanied by visuals of Glock and a team of beautiful women running what looks like a less-than-legal operation, “Something Bout Me” is a bonafide anthem. After six years in the game, the Glockoma rapper feels some type of way about himself, and for good reason.

Quotable Lyrics
Yeah, let the chopper sing like TLC
Yeah, big chains sounding like bells on me
Just told this h*e she ain’t worth fifty cent, b*tch, you know I’m a P-I-M-P
If I see this shit, I want it, I get it, n***a, I ain’t got time for no lease

Aaron Rodgers Consulted Joe Rogan On Ivermectin Use

Aaron Rodgers will miss his team’s game this weekend as he currently has COVID-19. Rodgers could have played this weekend had he been vaccinated, as vaccinated players can return to the field as soon as they get two negative COVID tests. Instead, Rodgers will have to watch from home while fans scrutinize him for lying about taking the vaccine, prior to the NFL season.

Today, Rodgers tried to clear the air on the matter as he spoke to Pat McAfee about his decision to not get the vaccine. Rodgers says it is because of the fact that he is allergic to one of the ingredients that were used in the mRNA vaccines. Rodgers also went on to say that he consulted Joe Rogan for help with battling the virus, and even took Ivermectin thanks to Rogan’s recommendation. Now, Rodgers says he is doing just fine.

“I’ve consulted with a now-good friend of mine, Joe Rogan, after he got COVID and I’ve been doing a lot of the stuff that he recommended in his podcasts and on the phone to me,” Rodgers said via TMZ. “I’ve been taking monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, zinc, vitamin c and d, and HCQ and I feel pretty incredible.”

Rogan was roasted for his use of Ivermectin last month, although it didn’t stop him from touting the drug to his audience. In the aftermath of this interview, Rodgers has been made fun of online for his “research” although for now, it doesn’t seem like Rodgers cares. After all, why would he?

2 Chainz Updates “T.R.U. REALigion” With New Big Sean Track, “Wreck”

Fresh off the release of his red hot EP with Hit-Boy, WHAT YOU EXPECT, Big Sean is back with another collaboration. This time around, the 33-year-old hopped on a track with 2 Chainz for the 10th anniversary edition of the latter’s 2011 mixtape, T.R.U. REALigion.

The “It’s A Vibe” artist dropped off two new songs on today’s release, “Wreck,” and “Sofa,” featuring Wiz Khalifa. The Sean joint sees the two team up for a catchy chorus that’ll be playing in the back of your mind all day. On his verse, the Don says, “every bitch I broke up with is a wreck,” then flexes about dropping mass amounts of change on shopping trips.

For his turn, Tity Boi pokes fun at annoying Karen’s, and spits, “this what ‘I don’t fuck with y’all’ look like in person.” The new song comes in at just over two minutes, but we definitely wish there was more. Luckily, the two teamed up for another track on the mixtape’s original release, called “K.O.”

Which Big Sean x 2 Chainz track do you prefer? Drop a comment and let us know.

Quotable Lyrics:

Every bitch I broke up with is a wreck
I took her shoppin’ and spent ’bout a ‘Vette, that’s petty
Only one bought more to me is the Nets, right?
I picked all the locks, money, power, respect, respect (Respect, respect, respect, Toni, Toni)

“Ciara’s Prayer” Is Finally Here & Fans Can’t Contain Their Excitement

Throughout the decades, Hip-Hop, and the entertainment industry altogether, has witnessed some pretty tumultuous and tragic relationships between fellow superstars, and the called-off engagement between Future and Ciara in 2014 remains one of the most infamous breakups of the last decade. The scorned lovers went their separate ways, and while Future has been living life as one of rap’s most eligible bachelors, Ciara has eased into a happy marriage with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

Over time it was revealed that prior to meeting Russell, Ciara consistently prayed for “a God-fearing man,” “discernment,” “wisdom,” and “a man that loved kids,” and as a result, fans have joked for years that they need Ciara’s prayer in their life. Last year, on her fifth studio album All Monsters Are Human, K. Michelle even named a song after Ciara’s prayer, and on the track, she sang, “Broke my heart, but it won’t bleed/Ain’t no future anyway, pray the prayer Ciara prayed.”

Over a year later, the shroud of mystery surrounding Ciara’s prayer has now been lifted because Summer Walker tacked it onto the end of her newly released sophomore studio album, Still Over It. Performed by Ciara over swelling instrumentation, the one-minute and 54-second track is designed to serve as a powerful conclusion to an album that tackles topics such as infidelity and heartbreak

You can listen to “Ciara’s Prayer” and read it in its entirety below.

Jesus, I need you. I don’t fully understand everything right now, but I know you have great plans for me. I’m hurting, but there’s purpose in my pain. I need you. I need you to restore my faith in love, give me strength. I know I can’t do it all on my own, I’m tired, I don’t wanna hurt no more, I don’t wanna feel like this ever again. Thank you for hearing my cry, thank you for hearing my heart, I know you’ll do what’s right with it. Thank you for never judging me. I’m broken but I’m beautifully broken. I know you will help me put all of the right pieces together. I know my pain is not in vain. I know that my baby is the most precious gift you have given me in life, and I thank you for that, thank you. Cover and protect us, Lord. I pray the next man of my life will be my husband. I pray he loves me, leads me, guides me, reassures me, I pray that he holds me, I pray that I have everything I want and need in him. I pray he will love me the way that you love me. Your love is unconditional. You are the way, the truth and the life, in you there’s hope. Lord, you say “Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy”, I believe in this pure love, this is what I want. Lord, thank you for reminding me who I am, I am a queen, I deserve to be treated like one. I’m a warrior, I will get up. I’m a child of God, I’m everything you say I am. I’m an overcomer, I’m built for this. Lord, I’m ready, in Jesus name, Amen.

Considering that it was one of the most highly anticipated cuts from Summer Walker’s sophomoric effort, it’s only natural that fans are teeming with excitement over the Still Over It track, so check out some of the best Twitter reactions to “Ciara’s Prayer” below.

Kanye West’s Involvement In Lil Nas X’s “INDUSTRY BABY” Finally Detailed

Prior to the release of “INDUSTRY BABY,” it was revealed that Lil Nas X’s #1-charting single was co-produced by Take A Daytrip and Kanye West. Marking the first time that Kanye and Lil Nas collaborated, the Atlanta rapper refused to elaborate on the extent of Ye’s work on the record, preferring to remain silent about what he contributed. Now that a few months have gone by since the Jack Harlow-featured song has been out, Take A Daytrip is finally opening up about what Ye did on the song.

In a re-surfaced Rolling Stone interview from earlier this year, Daytrip’s producers explain how Ye was involved in the song, explaining that the track reminded him of his previous anthemic bangers, including “All Of The Lights.”

“So me and Denzel didn’t get to meet Kanye, but Nas had the opportunity to sit down with him and play him a bunch of records from the album, maybe two months ago now,” said David from the production collective back in September. “Kanye specifically picked out ‘Industry Baby’ and just from what Nas told us, Kanye gravitated to that one just because it reminded him of some of his anthemic moments, like ‘All of the Lights.’ He just wanted to come in and really give it an overall finishing touch. So he came in and helped layer some instruments and really helped beef up the production, and sent us all the parts back, and we were able to take all of those things and place them in, and finish it up with Nas.

Even just the simplicity of that process is a dream come true for us. We both grew up idolizing so many of Kanye’s iconic albums and so many of his moves within those. Being able to be a part of something that Kanye has touched is just…the middle school me is just like…it’s just one of those things that’s truly a dream come true.”

Snoop Dogg Returns To His ‘Murder Music’ Ways With Benny, Busta Rhymes, And Jadakiss

Although it has been literal decades since Snoop Dogg was a legitimately menacing presence in hip-hop, that doesn’t mean he can’t occasionally tap into that mode when the mood calls for it. In the case of his new song “Murder Music,” it’s absolutely called for. However, just in case his Corona commercials softened up his image too much to be taken that seriously, he smartly calls on some of rap’s past and current prime purveyors of murder music — namely, Griselda’s Benny The Butcher, the resurgent Jadakiss, and the eternal Busta Rhymes.

Benny sets things off, declaring the ominous beat by Nottz “what they gone play when they wipe the prints off they hammers.” Then, Jadakiss reminds listeners that “it ain’t no reward for the streets.” Busta Rhymes bats cleanup, reminiscing on his rowdy battle rap past, recalling that “I don’t discriminate, I even bodied close peers.” Snoop holds down the hook, which is nice and simple, driving the “murder music” theme through repetition.

The song is set to appear on Snoop Dogg’s upcoming compilation album, Algorithm. At a recent listening session at his Compound in Los Angeles attended by Uproxx, Snoop said the project will operate as a showcase of the talent, past and present, on Def Jam, celebrating Snoop’s new position there as executive creative and strategic consultant. Algorithm is due November 19.
