Tyson Fury Officially Defeats The Dreaded Drake Curse

By now, everyone in the boxing world knows that Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder last night to retain his WBC Heavyweight belt. Fury is one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time, and last night, he proved that he can dominate against a fighter like Wilder, who is known for his devastating knockouts. In the end, it took Fury 11 rounds to knockout Wilder, although his performance was more than impressive.

The fight as a whole was truly amazing, and in the eyes of many, it is a classic bout that will forever be remembered for some key moments. In the clip below, you can find an alternate angle to that winning knockout.

Prior to the fight, Drake gave some words of encouragement to Fury, saying “This is a video for the most psycho man that I know. He’s mad in his head, but he has the purest heart, nicest guy. The Gypsy King, the scariest man in boxing.” Of course, Drake is known for putting a curse on the athletes and teams that he supports, so it had some fans thinking that Fury would end up losing.

In the end, the opposite took place and fans were quick to take note of this on social media. In the tweets below, you can see numerous fans express their jubilation for Fury, noting that he finally broke the Drake curse. As it turns out, he also defeated the Versace curse, which was a known affliction in boxing.

Needless to say, Drake must have been a proud friend while watching the fight last night.

SoloSam Drops Self-Produced Project, “PRINCIPLES TO DIE BY”

The last time SoloSam dropped an album was back in 2018 with Itis. Now, the Chicago native is back with PRINCIPLES TO DIE BY, which he produced, rap, wrote, and sung himself, proving that he’s absolutely earned the “solo” title in his name.

The project is made up of just eight tracks, but it has a lasting impact, nonetheless. S-O-S hops on “TREE,” Daniyel can be heard on “CHANGES,” and Michael Christmas lent his talents to the previously released “HOTBOX.” On the other five songs, Sam takes the reigns and works his magic.

Prior to PRINCIPLES TO DIE BY’s release, the rapper shared an emotional message on his Instagram page.

“This Album is a journey of overcoming grief and an ode to personal freedom,” SoloSam began. “I am truly blessed to be able to create and work on things that bring me happiness and none of that would be possible without the support from y’all.”

He continued, “I want you to know that I pray that all of you are able to experience the joy and love of community that you show me regularly. Big shoutout to everyone who contributed to this album y’all my family frfr.”

Roc Marciano & Flee Lord Drop “Delgado” Deluxe

Roc Marciano and Flee Lord have delivered excellence as solo artists but when they join forces, they form one of the hardest rapper-producer duos in hip-hop. Earlier this year, they came through with their latest joint effort Delgado. Stacked with 10 songs and collaborations alongside Conway The Machine, Stove God Cooks, and Ransom, they paved a lane of their own that will likely end up on plenty of year-end lists.

After a month and some change, they’ve delivered the deluxe edition of Delgado with five additional tracks. The new additions to the tracklist include collaborations alongside Eto, G4 Jag, T.F., Bun B, and Knowledge the Pirate.

Along with the deluxe edition of Delgado, Roc Marciano’s new collaborative effort with Wu-Tang affiliate Bronze Nazareth also dropped this weekend.

Don Toliver Mixes Lean With Lust On “Get Throwed”

It’s been a long time coming but finally, Don Toliver’s Life Of A Don is out now. The Houston rapper has been on one hell of a run over the past few years. 2021 has been a year where his presence was felt on some of the biggest stages. He appeared on Kanye West’s DONDA, joined Skrillex and Justin Bieber on “Don’t Go,” plus his collaboration with Kali Uchis on “Drugs N Hella Melodies” was in steady rotation since its June release.

Life Of A Don does boast some great collaborations with artists like Baby Keem, Travis Scott, and the aforementioned Kali Uchis. If the album proves anything, though, it’s that he certainly doesn’t need any high-profile name attached to create a banger. “Get Throwed” is an excellent example of this. Don Toliver’s honeyed melodies reflect on the H-Town codeine concoction and his bedroom fantasies over Mustard’s upbeat, breezy West Coast production.

Kim Kardashian Calls Kanye West “The Best Rapper Of All Time” During “SNL” Monologue

She may have had some doubters at first, but after watching her Saturday Night Live debut last night, there’s no denying that Kim Kardashian was made to entertain. During her opening monologue, the 40-year-old landed all of her jokes, and even threw some subtle comedic shade at her famous family members.

“I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America. A talented legit genius who gave me four incredible kids,” she said of her husband, Kanye West, at the start of the show.

“So, when I divorced him, you have to know it just came down to one thing: his personality.”

All jokes aside, Kimye has been spending plenty of time together as of late, working on reconciling their relationship. The rapper headed to New York City with his wife earlier this week, and apparently even helped her write her hilarious monologue.

Even Kris Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, wasn’t safe from Kardashian’s SNL roasts.

“The one thing I’m really proud of is that no one can call me a gold digger. Honestly, I’m not even sure how you become one. So I asked my mom’s boyfriend Corey,” the American socialite said with a smile.

Of course, Kardashian also joked about her own past, referencing the sex tape that helped her skyrocket to fame.

“When they asked, I was like, ‘You want me to host, why? I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time,” she said, followed by laughter from the audience.

“Actually, I only had that one movie come out, and no one even told me it was even premiering. It must have slipped my mom’s mind.”

Kim Kardashian Joked About Her Divorce From Kanye West In Her ‘SNL’ Monologue

We’re now into the second week of the 47th season of Saturday Night Live, and for this week’s episode, Kim Kardashian took on the hosting duties while Halsey arrived as the show’s musical guest. Kim, along with the rest of her family, are by far one of the most recognizable names in entertainment as they’ve amassed a huge following through several endeavors in the worlds of business, reality television, and more. Kardashian is no stranger to being on camera, so it’s no surprise that she delivered an entertaining and comical monologue to open the show.

One of the highlights came when she joked about her divorce from Kanye West. “I’ve been very blessed in this life, and I’m grateful for everything, honestly, all the ups, all the downs,” she said. “I mean, I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America, a talented, legit genius, who gave me four incredible kids. So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality.”

She continued, “I know it sounds mean, but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth. And if there’s one thing that I always strive to be, it’s genuine.”

Kardashian also joked about her family’s failed political campaigns, that being Kanye’s run for president and Caitlyn Jenner’s run for governor of California, as well as being “much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons.”

You can watch the full monologue in the video above.

Urban Meyer Viewed As A “Laughing Stock” By Jaguars Players: Report

Urban Meyer was already off to a bad start with the Jacksonville Jaguars as his team is off to an 0-4 start. However, things went from bad to worse last week as Meyer was seen flirting with a younger woman at a local bar. This video ended up going viral and it has caused quite the stir within the Jaguars organization. Meyer is reportedly on thin ice, and it seems like one more false move will lead to his dismissal.

In fact, a new report from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports paints a grim picture of the Jaguars head coach. According to sources around the team, Meyer is looked at as a complete fraud and that his own players are laughing behind his back. He doesn’t have their respect, and this latest incident has only alienated him from the locker room.

Per La Canfora:

“He’s not coming back from this,” said one league source who is very close to several players on the Jaguars team. “There wasn’t much confidence in him in that locker room before this went down. Now? It’s over. Guys are laughing at him. He’s lost any respect he may have had. They think he quit on them.”

The agent for another key Jaguars player said: “He is a laughingstock in that locker room right now. (My client) said he’s a con man. They think he’s a fraud. How do you not fly home with your team?”

This is not good news for Meyer, who now has to face his team this weekend as they look to nab their first win. Without the respect of his team, this Jaguars squad could very well go 0-16, although you figure that Meyer would be fired before that could happen.

Kodak Black’s Producer Airs Out Megan Thee Stallion After She Tweets “YB Better”

There isn’t a fanbase that’s as dedicated as NBA Youngboy’s. YB Better has turned into a marketing catchphrase for the rapper after the outpour of memes and troll accounts that litter that exact phrase under practically every other rapper’s comment section including Megan Thee Stallion. The Houston Hottie fired back at her trolls on Twitter yesterday, tweeting, “YB Better” and “you fell off… period.”

The timing of the tweets arrived days after Kodak Black called her out, again, for the “drive the boat” phrase which Yak popularized following a viral clip. Given Yak’s previous tension with Youngboy, it seemed like a few people perceived Meg’s tweets as some sort of shade towards the Broward County rapper.

Producer Dyryk, who is responsible for many of Kodak Black’s hits including “Killing The Rats”, took to Instagram where he put Meg on blast for the series of tweets she sent out. The producer said that he has sat in on her “writing camps” before bashing her ability as an MC.

“@theestallion been in your writing camps with all your “go-to writers.” You are definitely not the talent behind any of your records,” he boldly claimed. “Go cling on that bottle and re-cut that verse one more time, you didn’t match the reference they wrote for you.”

Megan addressed allegations of using ghostwriters back in 2019. After Wolftyla claimed that she went uncredited for her efforts on “Simon Says,” Megan and Juicy J issued statements denying the use of external songwriters for the song.

Kanye West & Anna Wintour Seen Grabbing Lunch Together In New York City

While in New York City for his wife’s stint on Saturday Night Live, Kanye West has been catching up with plenty of old friends, including Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour. According to Hollywood Life, the two were seen enjoying an outdoor lunch together at Sant Ambroeus in the West Village.

It’s unclear exactly why they got together, but Wintour has been a long-standing supporter of West’s fashion endeavours, regularly sitting front row at his Yeezy Season shows in the past. Both stars were also recently featured in a special episode of The Simpsons, which premiered before Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show.

As per usual, the rapper put together an all-black outfit, consisting of a hat, sunglasses, a t-shirt, a single-breasted blazer, gloves, casual pants, some very heavy looking shoes, and of course, headphones.

The 71-year-old fashionista opted to embrace one of this season’s favoured colours with a long, burnt orange coat worn over a colourful top, a yellow maxi skirt, sunglasses, and what appears to be a pair snake print high heeled boots. Opposites attract, am I right?

The day before he was seen with Vogue’s long-reigning leader, West headed to Sant Ambroeus on the Upper East Side to catch up with Michael Cohen, also known as the former lawyer of Donald Trump.

Cohen is currently on house arrest after facing conviction for lying to Congress, committing finance fraud, and tax evasion. He’s technically supposed to be in jail, but was released in May of 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.

While West was socializing around the city, Kim Kardashian was busy working 20-hour days in preparation for SNL. The mother of four made her hosting debut last night, meaning she’s the first member of her family to have such an honour.

Russell Wilson Gets Positive Injury Update

Russell Wilson is among the top-tier quarterbacks in the NFL, and he is one of the most valuable players to his own team. With this in mind, it should be no surprise that fans were devastated by his finger injury from Thursday night. The day after his injury took place, it was revealed that Wilson would have to miss up to two months of action as the injury is one that requires surgery.

Now, Geno Smith will be the team’s starter, which isn’t exactly a good thing when it comes to the team’s playoff chances. Despite everything that has happened, Wilson remains eager to get back on the field, and now, he is getting some positive news about his finger.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, there is hope within the Seahawks organization that Wilson will only have to miss four weeks. The original prognosis was 6-8 weeks, but that has now been changed. Football players are warriors in their own right, and when it comes to healing injuries, they typically like to speedrun the process, so this news isn’t all that surprising.

Of course, setbacks do happen, so it’s important for Seahawks fans to remain cautiously optimistic here. Stay tuned to HNHH, as we will provide more updates on Wilson as new information comes to light.
