Michael Caine Clarifies That He Is Not Retiring

Legendary actor Michael Caine says that he is not retiring from acting, clarifying comments from earlier this week, which many took to imply that his upcoming film, Best Sellers, would be his last role.

“I haven’t retired and not a lot of people know that,” Caine wrote on Twitter, Saturday afternoon.

The rumors began following an interview Caine did with BBC’s Simon Mayo. Caine explained that he’s being offered fewer roles as of late, and that, coupled with his deteriorating health, may mean Best Sellers will be his final role.

“Because I haven’t worked for two years, and I have a spine problem which affects my legs so I can’t walk very well, so—” Caine told Mayo.

Caine also referenced moving into the field of writing, having published several books.

When pressed for an explanation, he added: “There haven’t been any offers honestly for two years, because nobody’s been making any movies I’d wanna do. Also, you know I’m 88. There’s not exactly scripts pouring out with a leading man that’s 88, you know?”

Caine has appeared in over one hundred films throughout his storied career and won several Academy Awards. Since 2005, he has appeared in numerous Christopher Nolan movies including The Dark Knight Trilogy, InceptionInterstellar, and more.

Young Thug Thinks “Road Rage” Is His Best Lyrical Work On “Punk”

On Friday, October 15th, Young Thug shared his sophomore studio album, Punk. The new project has a completely different vibe from his 2019 debut, So Much Fun, offering listeners a much more introspective look into the 30-year-old’s life.

The Atlanta-born star has been busy celebrating, but he still found time to chop it up with Hot 97 about the work that he put into making Punk.

When asked if he prefers to prioritize strategy or emotion when making his music, Thugger didn’t hesitate to respond with, “strategy. I feel like your flow and your cadence, I feel like all of that comes from strategy.”

Punk boasts a 20-song long tracklist, including features from J. Cole and T-Shyne on “Stressed,” Gunna on “Recognize Real,” Post Malone and A$AP Rocky on “Livin It Up,” and Drake and Travis Scott on “Bubbly,” just to name a few.

While chatting with Hot 97, Young Thug revealed that his personal favourite tracks from his latest release are “Die Slow” with Strick and the solo track, “Stupid/Asking.”

As far as his best lyrical work? The rapper believes that he killed it on “Road Rage.”

“See the pussies on the sideline wishin’ that I fall/Pull the skeletons out the closet, I’m ’bout to tell it all/Just want my money, my hoes and all my kids to ball/I’m road raging to the millions if I have to crawl,” the song’s chorus goes.

During his interview, Young Thug also spoke on how he’s influenced other rappers like Drake and J. Cole, his experience writing for Adele, and his growth as an artist. You can watch the entire sit down below.

“The Batman” Trailer Shows A Badass Robert Pattinson & Zoe Kravitz In Gotham City

On Saturday afternoon, “The Batman” director Matt Reeves unveiled the long awaited trailer for his upcoming film at DC FanDome. The clip has since made it’s way online, giving fans a first look at Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz in character.

“Fear is a tool,” the British actor can be heard saying as the famous bat logo shines upon a wall. “When that light hits the sky, it’s not just a call, it’s a warning.”

The trailer is dark, sharp, and intense. It comes with a certain strength that shows that this version of The Batman isn’t coming quietly (despite the COVID-19 related delays).

Just yesterday, Kravitz posted a photo to her Instagram, providing followers with a first look at her in costume as Selina Kyle, or Catwoman. Fans have been speculating what sort of persona she and Reeves have crafted for the role, and today’s trailer tells us all we need to know – she’s badass, well dressed, seductive, and tough.

“I can take care of myself,” she says to Batman about a minute in.

“I don’t care what happens to me,” Pattinson says, wearing his superhero outfit. “It’s only going to get worse for you,” Catwoman responds before the screen cuts to an action-packed battle sequence.

While standing on top of a building, Kravitz says to her co-star, “maybe we’re not so different. Who are you under there?” Cue more violence before Batman responds, “I’m vengeance.”

The Batman proves his strength over and over again throughout the trailer. Now that fans have seen the Twilight star in his bat suit, excitement is sure to to reach even higher levels than it already has.

The movie will hit theatres on March 4th, 2022. Watch the first look at the Matt Reeves directed film below.

Jamie Foxx Recalls A Time He Used Snoop Dogg To Scare His Daughter’s Boyfriend

Some fathers don’t take too well to meeting their daughter’s boyfriends. One person is Jamie Foxx, who during a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon told a story about how, when meeting his spawn’s paramour, sought a little help from no less than Snoop Dogg.

“My daughter, who didn’t know I had already run a background check on her boyfriend, he comes to the crib and Snoop happens to be there,” he told the crowd. “And I said, ‘Snoop, there he is right there. Shake him up.’ Snoop just walked over to my daughter’s boyfriend and just said ‘Hey, what’s up? What’s up cuz? You know. Hey, look here. You know. We her uncles, you know what I’m saying? So act accordingly, homie.’”

Foxx has two daughters, Corinne and Anelise, but he did not specify which one was subject to this episode. But since the latter is only 12 years old, it’s safe to say it’s Corrine.

For more with Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx, you can stay tuned for their upcoming film Day Shift. The movie is a vampire action thriller with a cast that includes Dave Franco, Eric Lange, Karla Souza, Meagan Good, and Zion Broadnax. A release date for the movie has not been revealed yet, but it is confirmed to arrive at some point in 2022.

John Cena Reprises His Character From “The Suicide Squad” In New “Peacemaker” Trailer

If you loved John Cena as Peacemaker in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad earlier this year, then you’re going to want to see him in the new HBO Max spin-off series, titled after his character.

Earlier today, the streamer released the trailer for the upcoming eight episode series, which will give viewers a bit more insight into the life of the laughable character.

“Are you sure those two kids came out of those parents,” Cena asks, while looking at a photo in the clip. “That’s an attractive couple, that one came out of them but the other one looks like a butt baby. My older brother told me there’s two types of babies: One that comes out normal and then butt babies. Worse in every way, they come out of a woman’s butt.”

Peacemaker is more of everything that you like about The Suicide Squad,” the 44-year-old told PEOPLE. “Step one, see The Suicide Squad. Step two, like The Suicide Squad. Step three, watch Peacemaker.”

Complex reports that Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the series himself, and directed five of them. “We learn a lot about other characters, but I felt with Peacemaker, we really just scratched the surface of who this guy is, what makes this douchebag tick,” the explained in an interview.

“I called up John immediately and I said, ‘Hey, do you want to do this thing?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah.’”

Peacemaker will also star Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, and Steve Agee, among others. Check out the trailer above, and mark your calendars for January 13th, when the show will premiere on HBO Max.

Jay Williams Claims He Got Death Threats For Kyrie Irving Takes

Kyrie Irving’s stance on the vaccine has a lot of people up in arms these days. There have been various hot takes on the internet as to what the Nets should do with Kyrie, and as you can imagine, one of the loudest voices has been Stephen A. Smith. Smith has received his fair share of criticism for dunking on Kyrie, although it seems as though Smith’s ESPN colleague Jay Williams has gotten it just as bad.

While speaking to TMZ recently, Williams revealed that he has received death threats due to the fact that he has defended Kyrie. Williams believes that the backlash against Kyrie is unfair right now, and as it turns out, these takes have some wishing death on the former Duke star.

“Thank God I almost passed away when I was 21 years old,” Jay said. “You know some of the crazy s*** that people say to me on the internet when they disagree with my opinion? Go hit a pole, go die again, aww Duke education. Thank God I went through that experience, ’cause I don’t need other people to justify how I think about myself.”

Needless to say, these topics have become extremely polarizing to the point where people are issuing death threats. It is a truly unfortunate situation, and hopefully, Williams is able to find some peace sooner rather than later.

Lauren Jauregui Drops “Scattered,” Featuring Vic Mensa

As she prepares for the release of her debut solo project, Lauren Jauregui has been keeping her fans entertained with regular new releases.  Earlier this month she shared the single “Colors,” and now she’s back with a Vic Mensa collaboration on “Scattered.”

The three minute and 38-second long song sees the two battle emotional demons as they sing about mental health.

“It’s essentially about my mind being scattered. Vic heard it and felt it. I loved the idea of having a male perspective on assessing mental health,” Jauregui said, according to Complex.

The 25-year-old was once a member of Fifth Harmony alongside Camila Cabello, Normani, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane. The group announced their split back in 2018, with the girls having dreams of pursing solo careers.

Jauregui’s first project on her own is to be titled Prelude. The release date remains under wraps for now, but with the singer dropping singles this consistently, it likely won’t be long until she’s ready to share more with the world.

Check out “Scattered” featuring Vic Mensa below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Tear stained face

I can’t face these Demons all alone

They don’t like me

All night they stay and eat light

They talk and they write

In thunder and lightning

Young Thug & Gunna Do Some Flexing On “Insure My Wrist”

Young Thug has become a beloved artist by many in hip-hop and it should come as no surprise that whenever he drops a new album, fans are curious to see the direction in which he goes. Leading up to this new album Punk, Thugger teased a lot of guitar-based songs in an NPR Tiny Desk concert. While some thought the album would be rock-inspired, it seems as though the artist has opted for more acoustic-based sounds as the album is filled with guitar ballads and softer songs.

One of those efforts is “Insure My Wrist” featuring Thug’s favorite protege, Gunna. Throughout the track, we get both artists rapping about their jewelry and their wealth. Thug talks about his jewelry costing so much that he has insurance on it, which is certainly a massive flex. Meanwhile, the instrumental is nice and soft, which leads to some nice melodies that wash over the track.

Let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Half a million, got insurance on my watch
Half a million, I went got me some insurance on my wrist
I told lil’ ma “Be careful bitch, this all on my expense”
I told her “Watch the wheels on the Bent’, cause’ it ain’t rented”

42 Dugg And Lil Durk Pay Their Respects In A Flashy Video For ‘Free Ric’

At the end of August, Detroit native 42 Dugg shared the deluxe version of Free Dem Boyz, which he released earlier this year. Seven more songs were added to the record, with new features from Nardo Wick, Moneybagg Yo, and more. Lil Durk can also be found on the deluxe thanks to his appearance on “Free Ric.” Now, less than two months after the song’s release, Dugg calls on Durk to appear in a flashy video for the track, which finds the rappers showing off their large sums of money and expensive jewelry while delivering boastful raps as their respective crews stand behind them.

Free Dem Boyz, which also features Fivio Foreign, Roddy Ricch, EST Gee, Rylo Rodriguez, and Future, became Dugg’s high-charting album after it debuted at No. 8. The new video comes after Dugg shared ones for “Bestfriends,” Rose Gold,” “Turnest N**** In The City,” “Maybach,” and more.

As for Lil Durk, he just released his single “Pissed Me Off,” which comes as a response to unfortunate incidents that recently occurred in his life. He’s also going back to school to get his high school diploma.

You can watch the video above.

Zoe Kravitz Shares Catwoman Photos From “The Batman” Ahead Of Trailer’s Release

The trailer for the latest take on The Batman is set to drop at some point this afternoon, but ahead of the big reveal, some cast and crew members have been providing fans with sneak peeks.

Yesterday, High Fidelity actress Zoe Kravitz shared a photo to her Instagram showing her in costume as Selina Kyle, also known to some as Catwoman. The photo was also shared by director Matt Reeves, who’s also been dropping hints about his latest project over on Twitter.

“What’s Black and Blue…and Dead all over?” he quote tweeted a post containing images of posters for Batman and Riddler.

On October 14th, he also posted a fuzzy screenshot from the highly anticipated trailer, showing Batman’s signature pointy ears looking out over a beautiful cityscape.

“Good Morning, from Gotham City,” he wrote. “Can’t wait to show you more at #DCFanDome this Saturday.”

The plan is to premiere the trailer today, at the FanDome where some of the biggest DCEU fans will get to see it first.

As Uproxx points out, it’s unclear which direction Reeves and Kravitz will be taking for the character of Selina. In the past, we’ve seen Michelle Pfeiffer play the role of a woman killed and brought back to life in Batman Returns, and Anne Hathaway portray a criminal turned good girl in The Dark Knight Rises.

There’s also been a lot of curiosity surrounding the casting choice for the latest Batman – Robert Pattinson. The British star first rose to fame after playing Edward Cullen in the cult vampire franchise, Twilight, and has gone on to diversify his portfolio since.

See more of Reeves’ sneak peeks below, and look out for The Batman trailer dropping later today.
