Cardi B still has fans waiting for her sophomore album which has yet to receive an official update. She’s offered a few singles, as well as guest verses. However, Cardi is at a point in her career where there are bigger bags for her outside of hip-hop. Not to mention she gave birth a little less than two months ago so it’s safe to say she’s had a full plate.

Cardi’s been popping out more frequently in the past few weeks and it looks like she’ll be making her debut at the host of the American Music Awards later this month. An announcement was made on Tuesday morning revealing that Cardi would be taking on the role for the event which is set to take place on Nov. 21st at L.A.’s Microsoft Theatre.

“When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited,” Cardi said in a statement. “I’m ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen.”

AMA executive producer Jesse Collins also expressed her excitement to bring Cardi B on as a host. “We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host,” said executive producer Jesse Collins. “She will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be remembered forever!”

It’s been nearly two weeks since human remains believed to belong to Brian Laundrie were discovered in Florida’s Carlton reserve. At the time, it was reported that a cause of death could not be determined, but now, TMZ reports that Florida authorities believe the wanted man died by suicide. 

The news outlet shared this afternoon that Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt Hoffman has been telling residents of the town that Laundrie “went out there and by all accounts probably committed suicide and he was right out there where we thought he was.”

The hunt for Laundrie began back in September, when he returned to his family home in Florida without his 22-year-old fiancée, Gabby Petito. He had the missing girl’s van, but reportedly offered no explanation as to where she may be. Not long after returning, Laundrie also disappeared under suspicious circumstances, prompting a nation-wide search for him.

Petito’s remains were eventually found in Wyoming, and her cause of death was revealed to be homicide by manual strangulation. Laundrie was not named a suspect in her passing, although he was the main person of interest and had a warrant put out for his arrest after it was confirmed he had been using his partner’s debit card after her death.

Petito’s family continues to mourn the loss of their daughter. The Laundrie family, on the other hand, announced that they wouldn’t be holding a funeral for their son after the FBI confirmed that the remains found were his. As we reported back in October, Brian’s remains were confirmed via dental records, and since a cause of death couldn’t be determined, the bones were sent off to an anthropologist for further examination.

Reports that Laundrie died by suicide remain as rumours stemming from the Florida police department for now. Check back in with HNHH for any updates regarding the case.

Last week, Tesla received a $1 trillion valuation after it was announced that car rental company Hertz planned to purchase 100,000 of the company’s electric vehicles before the end of 2022. As a result of the massive valuation (Tesla became just the sixth United States-based company to break the $1 trillion mark) CEO Elon Musk’s net worth reportedly jumped from around $255 billion, to around $289 billion, making him the richest person in recorded history. 

However, the numbers might not be as simple as they seem.

Yesterday afternoon, the Tesla Silicon Valley Club took to Twitter to thank Musk for the sharp increase in value of Tesla stock. (According to Complex, Tesla shares have gone up 33% since the Hertz announcement.) 

“Super $tsla stonks. Thank you @elonmusk,” the club wrote, including a screenshot of Tesla’s increasing value in the stock market.

Hours later, Musk responded, and debunked any reports of a signed contract with Hertz. 

“If any of this is based on Hertz, I’d like to emphasize that no contract has been signed yet,” Musk clarified. “Tesla has far more demand than production, therefore we will only sell cars to Hertz for the same margin as to consumers. Hertz deal has zero effect on our economics.” 

According to Forbes, Musk’s tweet caused Tesla stock to devalue rapidly. 

“Tesla stock fell as much as 4% Tuesday morning after closing at a record high $1,208 on Monday,” Forbes reported. “Putting the company on track to lose $42 billion in market value and ending a week of straight gains.” 

Despite the fall in value, Hertz maintains that they made an initial order of 100,000 Teslas, and that deliveries have already begun. 

“As we announced last week, Hertz has made an initial order of 100,000 Tesla electric vehicles,” director of communications Lauren Luster told CNBC via email. “Deliveries of the Teslas already have started. We are seeing very strong early demand for Teslas in our rental fleet, which reflects market demand for Tesla vehicles.”

While the details of the current agreement between Tesla and Hertz is unclear, what is clear is that Hertz has begun implementing the electric vehicles into their rental fleet, despite Musk throwing a little water on the fire.

“THE HTOWN HOTTIE IS GLAMOUR’S WOMAN OF THEE YEAR,” she captioned the photo dump, which shows the “Big Ole Freak” rapper modelling various designer dudes that accentuate her hourglass figure. In the cover shot, Megan wears a white Di Petsa dress, Stuart Weitzman heels, rings by Dinosaur Designs and Fernando Jorge, as well as earrings from Castlecliff.

Others shots she the starlet rocking a high up do and an elegant red wrap, trimmed with a delicate fringe, and a Grecian goddess style black dress featuring cutouts in all the right places. Those who have been fans of Thee Stallion for a long time will likely agree that she looks more mature and grown here than ever before, and from the sounds of her Glamour interview, she’s really stepping into herself.

“I’m not looking at y’all when I wake up in the morning. I’m not looking at you in the mirror. I have to do things that make me feel good from the inside out,” she told the magazine. 

Other names who were featured on the roster of 2021 Women of the Year include poet Amanda Gorman and actress Mariska Hargitay.

It must have felt pretty surreal for rapper Gunna to log onto Instagram on Sunday before realizing that Rihanna, one of the most famous celebrities on the planet, dressed up as him for Halloween. 

The rapper has often gone viral for his extravagant outfits during Fashion Week, most recently stepping out in New York wearing a pair of Rick Owens boots with shorts, a lace shirt, black shades, and chains. His ‘fit was clowned across the internet, but stylists and fashion lovers celebrated Gunna’s bold choice. It turns out that Rihanna was a big fan of the ensemble because she wore the exact same thing and recreated his poses on Halloween, sharing some pictures on Instagram.

“Nawwwww she OD,” wrote Gunna as he reacted to her costume. “Heard u RiRi.”

He was so impressed by RiRi’s Halloween portrayal that he actually changed his profile picture to her picture, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he keeps that as his avatar for the coming months. Most people in the world would do the same if Rihanna dressed as them for Halloween, so we’ll let Gunna have his fan-boy moment.

According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Las Vegas Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III was involved in a car accident this morning that left one person dead. 

In a statement released earlier today, the LVMPD said that, “On November 2, at approximately 3:39 a.m., the LVMPD responded to a traffic collision near the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard and South Spring Valley Parkway, involving a Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota Rav4.” 

The LVMPD continued to reveal that, upon finding the Toyota on fire, one deceased victim (whose name has yet to be revealed) was located inside the vehicle. The driver of the Corvette was identified as Ruggs III, who reportedly remained on the scene, and “showed signs of impairment.” 

Ruggs III was transported to UMC hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and will reportedly be charged with “DUI resulting in death.”

Upon the news of Ruggs’ involvement both the Raiders and National Football League have issued statements, and offered their condolences to the family of the deceased.  

“The Raiders are aware of an accident involving Henry Ruggs III that occured this morning in Las Vegas. We are devastated by the loss of life and our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim’s family. We are in the process of gathering information and will have no further comment at this time,” the Raiders said. 

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victim of this horrific tragedy,” a spokesman for the NFL said. “We will continue to gather facts and monitor the matter under our policies, but our thoughts at this time are with those impacted by this devastating incident.”
