Raiders Cut Damon Arnette Following Threatening Video With Weapon

The has been a rough few months for the Las Vegas Raiders. It was just a month ago when head coach Jon Gruden stepped down after resurfaced racist and homophobic emails began to circulate. Then, the team cut wide receiver Henry Ruggs III after he was officially charged with driving under the influence during an incident that resulted in a fatal crash that took the life of a woman.

Now, it has been reported that Raiders first-round draft pick Damon Arnette has been released from the team after a video went viral days ago showing him brandishing a firearm while spewing threats of violence.

In the clip, Arnette is seen waving the weapon around while saying, “I swear to God I will kill you, n****. On everything I love, I will kill you, n****. You talking crazy.” It is unclear if he was actually speaking to someone in particular. The Raiders quickly stepped in and severed ties with the football player.

Very painful decision,” general manager Mike Mayock reportedly said. “We spent significant time, effort and resources trying to help him in all aspects of his life. … We cannot stand for the video of Damon with a gun, threatening to take a life.” This isn’t the first time that there have been concerns over Arnette and his behavior.

The 25-year-old was reportedly the subject of several lawsuits as late as last month over a hit-and-run incident that occurred in October 2020. A woman was reportedly injured during the incident and Arnette stands accused of fleeing the scene because he was late to a meeting. Additionally, Arnette faces another lawsuit where it is alleged that he spit on an Aria Hotel & Casino employee in Las Vegas.

J Prince Somehow Convinced Ye To Post A Video Asking Drake To Settle Their Beef With A Benefit Performance In LA

After several years of back-and-forth between the two collaborators turned rivals, the feud between Drake and Ye may soon come to an end, apparently thanks to Houston hip-hop impresario J Prince. Prince posted a video on Instagram of himself and Ye at Rothko Chapel in Houston in which Kanye reads a prepared statement on his phone requesting for Drake to join him onstage in Los Angeles at a benefit show advocating for the release of Chicago gang founder Larry Hoover.

“I’m making this video to address the ongoing back-and-forth between myself and Drake,” Kanye explains. “Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest. I’m asking Drake on December 7 to join me as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year live in Los Angeles with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover. I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.”

According to Prince’s caption, he didn’t “plan” to meet Kanye at Rothko Chapel but did so at the behest of Hoover, who apparently wanted to see the two rappers bury the hatchet. Prince wrote, “Ye received this well and said thanks because he never had anyone that sat him down and explained things to him the way I did,” noting that he is “looking forward to all of us working together in unison to elevate our communities around the world.” Hoover was the co-founder of the Chicago Gangster Disciples gang and was sentenced in 1997 to a seriously unrealistic 150–200 years in prison for a laundry list of charges including drug conspiracy, extortion, and murder. He has since reportedly turned over a new leaf, advocating community charity and criminal justice reform.

As of press time, there has not been a response from Drake, but fans on social media have already begun speculating about the possibility of an end to the feud, as well as wondering how much J Prince’s menacing reputation factored into Ye’s low-key demeanor in the video compared to his most recent boisterous appearance on Drink Champs.

In any event, we’ll see if Drake plays ball and what ultimately comes of it. Worst case, Ye and Drake will put their petty disagreements to rest — even if one of them had to be forced into it by one of the most fearsome figures in rap history.

Kanye West Asks Drake To Squash Beef & Help Free Larry Hoover

J. Prince and Larry Hoover are pushing together to help Kanye West and Drake mend their relationship, according to a new video posted to the Rap-A-Lot CEO’s Instagram page. In the post, Ye stands next to J. Prince as he reads a message to Drake off of his phone, asking the CLB rapper to join him on stage in Los Angeles in December to publicly squash their beef.

“I’m making this video to address the ongoing back-and-forth with myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest,” Kanye says. “I’m asking Drake on December 7th to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year. Live in Los Angeles with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover.”

Kanye West then explains that the two of them coming together can truly make a difference in the fight for Hoover’s freedom. “I believe that this event won’t only being awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we could accomplish when lay our pride to the side and come together,” Ye concluded.

J. Prince detailed the backstory of his meeting with Kanye. Prince wrote that he met with Kanye West at Rothko Chapel in Houston this weekend. Prince relayed a message from Larry Hoover who asked for Kanye West and Drake to make peace.

“I met with Ye to pass on the message from my brother Larry Hoover who said he would like to see peace between the two of them,” he wrote. “Ye received this well and said thanks because he never had anyone that sat him down and explained things to him the way I did. I’m looking forward to all of us working together in unison to elevate our communities around the world.”

This comes on the heels of Kanye West’s interview on Drink Champs where he addressed his feud with Drake including the apparent passive-aggressive jabs the Canadian rapper makes. Part two of the interview is supposedly coming on Friday which could very well exasperate their issues further but maybe Drake ends up agreeing to pop up at the December 7th show with Chubbs by his side.

Check out the video below. Do you think Drake will accept the olive branch?

Joycelyn Savage’s Parents Believe R. Kelly Is Controlling Her From Jail

The first R. Kelly trial may be behind us, but that does not mean that his legal troubles are over. Prosecutors in other states have been working on their cases against the disgraced singer following his New York conviction, prompting alleged victims to continue to speak out. Two women who have been linked to Kelly in recent years have been Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage, to women who reportedly dated the singer at the same time.

The dissolution of that throuple was something that the world witnessed in headline after headline. Azriel has been vocal about her growth and recovery, but Joycelyn has remained mysteriously silent throughout it all.

According to her parents, who recently sat down with TMZ for a virtual interview, they still haven’t mended their relationship with their daughter. They believe that Joycelyn remains dedicated to Kelly and allege that he has been controlling her from behind bars.

“We tried to reach out to Joycelyn when my father passed. We have to always reach out through [Kelly’s] camp,” said Joycelyn’s father. The same reportedly occurred when his wife’s mother passed away. They expressed that they didn’t want to hear from a “third party” but from their daughter, herself.

“We would like to have a one-on-one discussion with you as a family,” Joycelyn’s mother said in a plea directly to her daughter. Her father wants Joycelyn to understand that Kelly will be in prison for some time and demanded to see his daughter at their solemn family event. “Listen, Robert is locked up. All these enablers need to move aside. Joycelyn, I need to see you at that funeral, it’s just that simple.”

According to TMZ, G-Eazy pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct when he appeared in a New York City courtroom on Monday morning. The rapper dodged time behind bars and instead, will be heading into a diversion program called Manhattan Justice Opportunities. As part of his plea deal, the rapper will have to finish three sessions where he’ll have to sit on meetings with social workers and case managers to make sure that he’s steering clear of trouble and negative influences.

After the rapper was arrested for the altercation with a group of guys at NYC’s Boom Boom Room, he was hit with the misdemeanor assault charge and an order to stay away from the alleged victims. Even with the case being resolved, the order will likely remain in place.

Though he’s managed to veer away from any sort of jail time, he will have to return to court in January to make sure he’s abiding by the conditions in his sentence.
