Kardashians Reportedly Edit Travis Scott Out Of New Reality Show

The Kardashian Family is reportedly trying to distance itself from rapper Travis Scott, following the Astroworld Festival tragedy, which left eight people dead and hundreds injured. As they film content for their upcoming new show on Hulu, Travis is reportedly being edited out of the show, according to a report from Radar Online.

The gossip website claims that a source connected to the Kardashians informed them that Travis Scott is being edited out of the upcoming new show. The Kardashians have supposedly already filmed content from Kourtney’s engagement to Travis Barker, Kylie’s pregnancy, and Kim’s “entanglement” with Pete Davidson. However, after both Kylie and Kendall were spotted at Astroworld Festival last weekend, it is being reported that Travis is being cut from the show.

“Cameras have been rolling for months,” said the source. “The investigation is going to go on for a long time with no one knowing the outcome. This is the last thing the Kardashians want to be talking about when they return to TV.”

Travis Scott has issued a couple of statements following the tragic outcome of his festival, and he has promised to pay funeral costs for all of the deceased victims. He is also partnering with a company to provide mental health resources to victims and will refund paid tickets to Astroworld.

“Kylie’s second baby with Travis was going to be a major storyline, but now that storyline will be pulled back,” added the source. “The entire family has been sucked into this disaster now.”

This report is presently unconfirmed. We will keep you posted as an official statement is made from the Kardashians, Hulu, or Travis Scott.

Teyana Taylor’s LA “Farewell” Show Goes Viral For Lap Dances, Junie & Putting Fan’s Safety First

Twitter woke up this morning to see Teyana Taylor’s LA show trending on the Explore page, and for good reason. Last night, Teyana was onstage at The Novo for the LA stop on her “The Last Rose Petal… Farewell” tour, which she announced at the foot of September to be her last city-to-city run, before retiring from music completely. Fans, of course, were devastated by the news, but Teyana left LA with a series of memorable moments, leaving everything out on stage.

In the last 12 to 24 hours, several videos from her show have gone viral. We’re going to break them all down, briefly.

In one clip, Teyana dons an epic yellow coat as she welcomes Big Sean onto the stage, launching into their performance of “Shoot It Up” off her latest and final album, 2020’s The Album. In another, she’s captured lap dancing on rappers Rubi Rose and Yung Miami, flanked by a line of backup dancers.

Based on fans’ footage, Teyana also made room for the heartfelt moments; one clip features Teyana and her five-year-old daughter Junie, who was brought on stage– both clad in red, singing and dancing alongside one another as they perform their song “Come Back To Me”.

That’s not all she made room for. In yet another clip, Teyana went viral for ensuring the safety of a fan, clearly in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy — she paused the show to give a fan at the front of the stage time and space to breathe.

“The Last Rose Petal… Farewell” tour is a nod to Teyana’s lasting mark in R&B before she caps her over-a-decade-long career as a singer and songwriter, featuring performances of her songs off The Album as well as her final singles– all released last year at the height of quarantine. Now off to pursue other interests, Teyana’s “Farewell” LA performance was a bittersweet show– but if it’s one thing Teyana will do, it’s end with a bang.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Upcoming Role As Jim Jones Leads To Dipset Memes

Hours after Leonardo DiCaprio was trending over his encounter with Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend Lauren Sánchez, he was, once again, at the center of Twitter memes — this time involving Dipset. According to Deadline, DiCaprio will star as the titular character of MGM’s upcoming project, Jim Jones. No, it won’t be about Jim Jones of Dipset and Skull Gang fame but the religious cult leader that led the Jonestown mass suicide that claimed over 900 lives. DiCaprio is also set to serve as a produced on the film through Appian Way.

The film is set to document the influence Jim Jones had since founding the Indianapolis’ Peoples Temple in 1955 until denouncing Christianity as a whole and declaring himself as a God. After the murder of U.S. representative Leo Ryan who initiated an investigation into Jonestown, Jim Jones then orchestrated the mass suicide involving cyanide-tainted Kool-Aid.

Of course, this Jim Jones isn’t the one that we’ve grown to love from songs like “We Fly High” and “Pop Champagne.” Twitter users swiftly came in with memes of Leo DiCaprio’s face on Jim Jones’ body while joking about a potential Dipset biopic. Then, fans started tweeting some of their favorite moments of the rapper Jim Jones that they would only hope Leonardo DiCaprio would recreate.

Though Leonardo DiCaprio hasn’t responded to the memes, Jim Jones reposted one of them on his Instagram Story. Perhaps, he’s not entirely against the idea of an Oscar-award-winning actor bringing Dipset’s story to life in the future.

“Squid Game” Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk Confirms Season 2 Is In The Works

Squid Game first hit the Netflix homepage on September 17th. A few weeks later, it seemed that the entire world had caught on, with the words “Squid Game” trending for weeks on end, across social media platforms. For a while, it seemed as though everyone and their mom’s were talking about the show.

Actress HoYeon Jung, who starred in the show as North Korean defector Kang Sae-byeok, gained over 13 million followers almost overnight. Halloween weekend saw countless Squid Game costumes. Brands started kicking off Squid Game-inspired marketing campaigns. Soulja Boy released a song entitled “Squid Game” last month. Even Lil Baby tried his hand at the Dalgona game (one of the games featured in the show, wherein players carve out shapes from a honeycomb cookie without cracking them).

Such success is a triumph for Squid Game director and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, who spent over a decade pitching the show to studios, only to be met with countless rejections. He infamously noted that at one point, he had to stop writing the script to sell his laptop and make ends meet. In an on-camera video interview released earlier today, Hwang, standing alongside actor Lee Jung-jae, who played Seong Gi-hun, the show’s protagonist, officially confirmed the production of a Squid Game Season 2.

“There’s been so much pressure, so much demand, so much love for a second season. I almost feel like you leave us no choice!” Hwang said in the interview. “There will indeed be a second season. It’s in my head right now.”

“I’m in the planning process currently, but I do think it’s too early to say when and how it’s going to happen,” Hwang continued. “So I promise you this: Gi-hun will come back. He’ll do something for the world.”

Cardi B Gets Court Date Pushed Back For Defamation Case

Cardi B has been getting her way lately in court. The two-year saga of her defamation case against vlogger Tasha K scored another point for the New York rapper today.

The two were supposed to battle it out in court today (Nov. 9) over Cardi’s $75,000 defamation of character/slander lawsuit against Tasha, first filed in March 2019.

Tasha K had been making preparations for the suit, hoping to get it done sooner rather than later, as she looked to prove that she was a reporter protected by first amendment rights. However, Cardi’s request to postpone the court meeting due to a “family emergency was approved,” and the trial has been moved to Jan. 5, 2022.

Cardi’s suit against Tasha K stems from claims she made in a vlog on her popular unWinewithTashaK YouTube channel dedicated to celebrity gossip. She asserted that Cardi B was a prostitute, drug addict and had herpes.

By disclosing this personal health information and attacking Cardi’s character, Cardi alleges this harmed her reputation when she filed the defamation suit.

Tasha K then responded by counter-filing a $3 million lawsuit, alleging that Cardi B had sent Blood gang-affiliated members to intimidate and threaten her at her Atlanta home as well as online. The judge involved with the case threw out Tasha K’s suit claiming that Tasha did not do a good enough job of proving Cardi brought her any distress.

Cardi B keeps stacking up the wins in this rivalry, and her latest victory gives her more time to prepare for her lawsuit than she previously anticipated.

Do you think Tasha K has a chance in court?

Megan Thee Stallion’s Latest Popeyes Merch Drop Pays Homage To Her Love For Anime

No offense to any of the various musicians who’ve partnered with fast-food chains for co-branded merchandise, but Megan Thee Stallion’s latest drop with Popeye’s might actually be the coolest one yet. Dubbed the “Animegan” collection, the latest set nods to the Houston Hottie’s love of Japanese cartoons with a tote bag, T-shirt, hoodie, and bandana featuring an illustrated Megan surrounded by flames — a clear reference to one of her favorite characters, Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia, whose powers make him a human flamethrower. Megan has cosplayed as him a number of times in the past.

But the coolest item — at least, to me — is an adorable Megan Thee Stallion plush doll with a cowboy hat and a Hottie chain. I mean, come on, just look at this thing:

The latest drop follows the “Thee Heat” collection, which included a flame emoji emblazoned bikini, a Popeyes three-piece box dog plush toy, and a cropped “Saucy” T-shirt. There’s still no word on bottles of the Hottie Sauce, but it’s Megan Thee Stallion — if nothing else, she gives her fans what they want (see also: her new EP, Something For Thee Hotties, and her booty-baring graduation photos). Fingers are firmly crossed.

Yeezy Pays $1 Million To Settle Its Lawsuit For Shipping Delays

Ye’s business portfolio is nearly $1 million lighter after paying to settle a California lawsuit against his clothing company, Yeezy. Last month, the Alameda, Los Angeles, Napa, and Sonoma county district attorneys filed a suit alleging the company had violated a state law holding companies liable for the timely shipping of products purchased online. In California, items bought online must be shipped within 30 days, or customers must be notified of delays and given options like refunds and according to the DAs, the Yeezy brand had failed to do this in numerous cases.

According to Billboard, Yeezy agreed to pay $950,000 to settle the lawsuit, including $800,000 in civil penalties to the district attorneys offices, $50,000 in restitution to a state consumer protection fund, and $100,000 in investigative costs.

Ye himself, meanwhile, has been taking a lot of flak over the past several weeks for a number of other unusual activities. During a recent interview with the Drink Champs podcast, he lashed out at his former G.O.O.D. Music artists Big Sean and John Legend for refusing to support his presidential bid, claimed that he still supports Donald Trump, and received criticism from producers Just Blaze and Hit-Boy over comments he made in the interview and allegedly trying to have Hit-Boy blackballed in the industry. Most recently, though, he encountered Houston hip-hop godfather J Prince, who apparently coerced him into making a statement requesting an end to his feud with Drake.

The Family Of A 9-Year-Old Trampled At Astroworld Sues Travis Scott

Travis Scott and Live Nation have been named as defendants in a slew of lawsuits stemming from the tragedy at Astroworld Festival this past weekend but the latest confirmed suit is among the most saddening. The family of Ezra Blount, a nine-year-old who was trampled during Scott’s headlining set on Friday night, filed a negligence lawsuit against the rapper and Live Nation, according to Rolling Stone.

Ezra was reportedly sitting on his father Treston’s shoulders when the crowd surged toward the stage, crushing Treston to the point he passed out and lost track of his son. The family located Ezra at a nearby hospital after the show listed as a John Doe. According to the suit filed by the family, “He is currently in an induced coma on life support and has severe liver, kidney, and brain damage. To his young, growing body, these injuries will have life-long effects, impairing his quality of life and ability to grow and thrive.” The lawsuit seeks $1 million in damages.

The lawsuit also cites a report that the concert continued long after city officials declared a “mass casualty event” at the concert, a number that was reported as being around 37 minutes. The Blount family’s lawsuit is just one of 20, with that number projected to continue rising as more victims come forward.

Summer Walker Performs “Unloyal” On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”

The buzz surrounding Summer Walker’s Still Over It is palpable.

From the very beginning of Walker’s album rollout, which included fans across the United States smashing glass cases for a chance at an exclusive first listen, the Still Over It hype has been building. And less than a week after Walker’s follow up to 2019’s Over It was officialy released on November 5, the “Come Thru” singer and her fans are watching that hype come to fruition.

Still Over It, a 20-track masterpiece, boasts some of the best R&B music of the year, and stirred the pot on a couple of situations in Walker’s life. With references to Young Thug and her ongoing feud with her ex and father of her child, London On Da Track, Still Over It has garnered attention for its high quality, as well as its willingness dive into messy situations.

Last night, Walker appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform “Unloyal,” the 11th track on Still Over It and a clear message aimed directly at the Atlanta producer

Rocking a mint green, woven ensemble, Walker delivers a soulful and moving performance of “Unloyal,” with help from The Roots. Sounding like something you’d hear in a smokey back room at an underground club, Walker’s live performance breathes life into “Unloyal” and helps convey the emotion of the record, which features Ari Lennox.

Check out Summer Walker’s performance of “Unloyal” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and let us know what you think down in the comments.

Carmelo Anthony Carries Lakers To OT Win Over Hornets

The Lakers have had a rough start to their 2021-22 championship campaign. After forming an Avengers-style super team with the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Dwight Howard, Carmelo and a litany of notable role players, the Lakers have dealt with chemistry, injury and performance issues.

Going into last night’s game in Staples Center against the Charlotte Hornets, the Lakers had a 5-5 record, and had been playing the last few games without LeBron due to an abdomen injury. Somebody had to rise to the occasion, and Carmelo did just that.

The Lakers led by double digits in the fourth quarter, despite Westbrook’s poor performance. Melo was launching threes at an efficient rate, utilizing his catch-and-shoot quick trigger and trademark jab steps. LeBron, clad in street clothes, was loving what he saw from the Lakers bench.

Soon though, the Hornets would storm back behind an effective attack from young stars Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball, seeing Bridges hit a game-tying three with 23 seconds left to send the game to overtime.

In a tight overtime, Carmelo’s clutch three with two minutes left gave the Lakers a one point lead that they held until the end of the game for a victory.

Melo finished with 29 points on 9-13 from the field (69%) and 7-10 from three (70%). His efficiency and timely shots have been critical in keeping the Lakers afloat so far this season, as he is second in the league in bench points and bench threes this season.

Over the past six games, in which the Lakers are 4-2, Anthony’s averages are 20.7 PPG, 55% FG, 58% 3P in only 29 minutes per game, truly cementing the resurgence not many have expected from him after his stints with the Thunder and Rockets.

Players and voices from around the league praised Melo postgame for his resilience and ability to adapt to his new role.

How important do you think Melo will be for the Lakers moving forward?
