50 Cent To Executive Produce Starz Docuseries About The Black Mafia Family

50 Cent’s BMF series first premiered back in September, and now, the network has given him their blessing to move forward as the executive producer of yet another project detailing the life of the infamous Black Mafia Family.

As Complex reports, this new show will be a docuseries made up of eight episodes. G-Unit Film and Television and Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions are set to produce, Shan Nicholson will act as showrunner and director, and Chris Frierson will also lend his directorial talents.

“The docuseries will offer an inside look at different perspectives from all of those involved, BMF—Blowing Money Fast,” 50 Cent has said of his latest endeavour.

The scripted BMF story reportedly brings in an average of 6.5 million viewers per episode as it details the true story of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (played by Demetrius Flenory Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (played by Da’Vinchi). The series has become an obvious hit for Starz, and has already been renewed for a second season, with the first season finale set to air on November 21st.

“The success of BMF demonstrates a continued rise in fan demand and interest in the story of the Flenory brothers,” President and CEO of the network, Jeffrey Hirsch, said.

During a recent chat with Complex, 50 Cent opened up about several of the TV projects he’s been working on as of late. “BMF is a more intense version of Power to me. Power is a fictional story and it’s based on some of the things that I experienced in my upbringing. It makes it even easier to go into the ’90s with Raising Kanan because that period is more like the Golden Era.”

Elsewhere, the rapper has also been defending his decision to create a serious about the Flores twins, who infamously ratted out El Chapo in exchange for shorter sentences.

Have you been keeping up with BMF? If yes, are you excited to see what 50 has in store with this new docuseries?

Sixers Reportedly Interested In James Harden Sign And Trade

As it stands, the Philadelphia 76ers are dealing with some issues when it comes to Ben Simmons. The superstar point guard wants off of the team and the Sixers are looking at ways to offload him so he is no longer an issue. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been going too well for the Sixers as they simply can’t figure out a deal that works for them.

According to Sixers beat writer Keith Pompey, there are rumblings that the team is looking towards the offseason as the perfect opportunity to find Simmons a new home. In fact, the Sixers believe they could go out and get James Harden, who can choose to not activate his player option this summer. If that were to happen, the Sixers could engage in a sign and trade.

Per Pompey:

“Several members of the front office are keen on the idea of keeping Simmons this season and pursuing Harden from the Brooklyn Nets for a sign and trade, according to multiple sources.”

What stands in the Sixers’ way right now is the fact that Harden seems perfectly happy in Brooklyn. The Nets are his best opportunity to win an NBA title, and his chemistry with Kevin Durant continues to be on another level. With that being said, the Sixers are grasping at straws with this rumored desire.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring up updates from around the NBA.

Paul Pierce Denies Pooping His Pants During 2008 NBA Finals

During Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals, Paul Pierce infamously went down with an injury that required him to be carried off the court and placed into a wheelchair. A very short time later, Pierce was already back on the court, which had fans questioning the true extent of his injury. In recent times, many theories have propagated as to what really happened, with Pierce alluding to the fact that he may have pooped his pants.

In a new interview with former ESPN colleague Michelle Beadle through The Athletic, Pierce addressed the theory noting that it was 100 percent false. As he explains, sitting in a wheelchair after pooping your pants makes so sense and that had he really had that sort of accident, he would have simply run for the hallway.

“If you poop your pants, does it make sense to sit down and mush it in a wheelchair?” Pierce said. “I would walk back there and go straight to the bathroom. Why would I need a wheelchair if I pooped my pants? You don’t sit down on your poop, right? It doesn’t make sense.”

Pierce is a player who has opened himself up to a lot of criticism over the past couple of years, so the poop theory is one that has always enticed fans. At this point though, we are all going to have to put it to rest.

Big Sean And Hit-Boy Deliver An Elegant Performance Of ‘What A Life’ On ‘Fallon’

Big Sean and Hit-Boy brought their What You Expect EP single “What A Life” to the Tonight Show stage on Thursday with a thrilling, elegant performance. Decked out in matching tailored suits and enjoying a luxurious meal in a stately lounge, the dynamic duo is presented with a mic for Sean and a beat machine atop a grand piano for Hit-Boy. While the performance begins while they’re still seated, they smoothly slide from their well-appointed booth to a makeshift stage in the center of the room, where Sean goes for broke and Hit shows off his finger drumming skills.

The new project, which finds the two frequent collaborators paired up for a full five tracks that demonstrate the breadth and depth of their chemistry, is also the first of Big Sean’s new label venture independent of his past association with Kanye West’s GOOD Music. The timing of its release turned out to be opportune as well, as Ye’s appearance on the Drink Champs podcast just days later found Sean’s onetime mentor throwing him under the bus by saying that signing Sean to GOOD was the “worst thing” he ever did. Sean laughed off his old boss’ digs, although he did point out that Ye still owes him millions from their initial deal.

Instead, Sean and Hit focused on the positive, following up with more videos from the EP, including “The One” and “Chaos,” showing that they’ll both be just fine without help from the mercurial Mr. West.

Earl Sweatshirt’s Introspective ‘2010’ Video Recalls His Troubled Teen Years

In 2010, Earl Sweatshirt was just another member of the upstart LA skate-rat rap crew Odd Future, who were all still about a year away from their explosive leap to mainstream notoriety. Their punk-inspired, DIY ethos was only just beginning to ruffle feathers at the tastemaking blogs who just didn’t get what their whole thing was about, and Earl had yet to be shipped off to boarding school, which is what prompted the “Free Earl” movement among their fans and made him one of the group’s standouts alongside Tyler The Creator and Syd Tha Kid.

On “2010,” Earl’s new single and video, he reminisces about those days before fame, when he was just a depressed teen butting heads with his professor mom. The Ryosuke Tanzawa-directed video captures Earl with soft focus and muted lighting as he roams his house, smoking, and thinking back on a time when things weren’t quite so simple but were perhaps just complicated in a different way.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Earl’s next album, with frequent teasers in interviews from Vince Staples and The Alchemist only stirring the pot, but until it’s ready for release, the LA native has been featuring with impressive regularity on tracks from other cerebral spitters like Armand Hammer, Boldy James, MIKE, Navy Blue, and Wiki. When the follow-up to 2019’s Feet Of Clay is finished, it’ll have more than enough support from hungry underground rap fans to end up being one of the biggest releases of any given year.

Young Dolph Reportedly Owned Over 100 Memphis Properties & Bought Foreclosures For His Children’s Birthdays

The the days since legendary Memphis rapper Young Dolph was tragically shot and killed in his hometown, tributes from every corner of the internet have poured in. Speaking to the legacy he leaves behind as a musician, as well as the legacy he leaves behind as a man and a father, seemingly every new social media tribute dedicated to Young Dolph has revealed something new about the Gelato rapper.

Yesterday, filmmaker and podcaster Tim Jackson took to Instagram with a photo of he and Dolph, and used his caption to explain why he admired the 36-year-old as a businessman.

Maury Phillips/Getty Images

“Damn! @youngdolph rarely rapped about his real estate portfolio but he owned over 100 properties in Memphis and he also purchased a foreclosure for his children every year for their birthdays,” Jackson wrote. “He told me this himself when we met. I admired this about him and even challenged him to rap more about this side of his hustle.”

Jackson added that Dolph’s death is a reminder of how fragile life is.

“The streets don’t love NOBODY! That’s why it’s important to provide alternatives to the streets every chance we get. Always remember that,” he wrote.

While Young Dolph was a staple of the rap game for more than a decade, his accomplishments outside of his own musical career are just as impressive. Between his time as a label executive, running Paper Route EMPIRE and helping an artist like Key Glock reach his full potential, and Jackson’s assertion that Dolph was dominating the real estate world, it’s clear that his business acumen was going to propel him to bonafide mogul status, before his life was tragically cut short.

Willow Adds Kid Cudi To The Unexpected Remix of “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l”

Although fans were introduced to them through their renowned celebrity parents, Willow and Jaden Smith have carved out their own lanes as solo musical artists. This year alone, Willow, in particular, has dug deeper into the sounds explored on her 2020 collab album with Tyler Cole and delivered a phenomenal project in the form of lately I feel EVERYTHING.

For her fourth studio album, Willow thrives in a pop-punk and indie rock soundscape, and listeners got their first sample of her newfound sound earlier this year with the record’s first single, “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l.” Seven months later, the musician has revitalized the Travis Barker-assisted track with a stunning new feature from Kid Cudi.

To cult fans’ delight and countless others’ chagrin, the Man on the Moon returns to his WZRD and Speedin’ Bullet To Heaven roots for a really impressive guest feature that reunites him and Willow on wax for the first time since “Rose Golden” from Cudi’s 2016 album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’.

Scroll down to listen to Willow, Travis Barker, and Kid Cudi’s remix of “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l.” Is Cudi’s feature better or worse than you expected?

Quotable Lyrics

Yeah, you know me, lost boy, the lonely
Fire envy burn through the night
I will show you soon, you’ll be believin’
See through my soul, baby, let me burn ya
Now you got your wings
They don’t know my secrets, you always know
Put it all behind, know I can not run and hide

Zac Stacy Arrested In Florida Following Domestic Violence Video

Former NFL running back Zac Stacy has reportedly turned himself in, following the recently circulating video of his brutal domestic attack on his ex-girlfriend while their infant son sat nearby, according to TMZ.

The unfortunate altercation occurred this past Saturday in Stacy’s ex-girlfriend’s Florida home, and today, police has provided an update on Stacy’s legal development. Law enforcement claim that Stacy is now officially in police custody, as he was arrested after flying back into Florida from Tennessee.

According to TMZ, police claim that the former professional football running back flew in to Orlando from Nashville with “the intention of turning himself in” to law enforcement. After arriving, Stacy was apprehended and then taken into Orlando’s police custody without further incident.

Previous reports indicated Stacy may have fled after the violent attack, as his ex-girlfriend claims the police were called immediately after the altercation, but the former NFL player was already long gone by the time authorities showed up. However, after being urged by law enforcement to turn himself in, it appears Stacy has cooperated with the issued warning.

Following the altercation and the video’s circulation, Stacy was hit with two felony charges. One for aggravated assault and the other for criminal mischief. If convicted, Stacy could be facing a prison sentence of nearly 15 years.

More updates surrounding Stacy’s altercation and arrest are upcoming as this is a still developing story.

The graphic video calls for viewer discretion, and can be triggering to those especially sensitive to domestic violence:

Young Dolph Was One Of A Kind

There is something about the way Young Dolph put on for Memphis that has always felt more passionate, more thoughtful, and more urgent than his fellow rap comrades. Perhaps this was due to the fact that, at least during Dolph’s heyday, Memphis had not yet really established itself as a trendy hip-hop hub, and Dolph knew that time was of the essence. Perhaps it was simply a result of Dolph’s good nature, as someone who was always looking to both provide and put on for his people. Whatever the case, Dolph managed to not only create a precedent for high-quality Memphis rap, he introduced us to a host of Memphis mainstays and established his very own lane by creating a distinct brand of trap music, an offshoot from the consistently-popular ATL division of the sound.

In order to do this, Dolph had to work hard. His unrelenting work ethic allowed him to hustle his way through the decline of the blogosphere and remain a presence across the rise of streaming services, releasing over 15 mixtapes along the way. Dolph grew steadily in popularity due to his unique strain of gangster rap, and to that effect, he developed a loyal fanbase who appreciated and championed his realness first and foremost, allowing him to maintain a secure grip on the streets. Dolph also moved strategically, elevating thanks to a Gucci Mane co-sign and a couple of collaborative projects, while still ensuring that Gucci didn’t overshadow, or stifle his career. Dolph separated himself not only from Gucci but from the rest of the music industry in a way, creating his own imprint very early on. Paper Route Empire was first established in 2010, while Dolph would eventually merge his business with that of EMPIRE distribution, launching the re-invented Paper Route EMPIRE in 2018, allowing both himself and his artists to flourish even further.

Young dolph RIP

His last album, 2020’s Rich Slave, is now the unwilling peak of Dolph’s prosperity. Rich Slave documents how far Dolph had come, while showcasing the dichotomy that still existed in his life — it was a dichotomy that Dolph relayed in earlier music too, constantly juxtaposing his aspirations for wealth, or the wealth itself, with his upbringing in the streets, and as well, with his sheer existence as a Black man in America.

“Hold Up Hold Up Hold Up,” the album opener on Rich Slave, presents the first contrast in now-eerie fashion now: “Rich n*gga still in the neighborhood store eatin’ cold cuts / Street n*gga, bitch, I’m in the Bentley doin’ donuts / Taught myself how to get millions, ain’t nobody show us.”

While on “The Land,” Dolph explores the second chasm in his life: “The police pulled me over for nothin’, just because she racist / Two minutes later, it’s five police cars, they got me face down on the pavement / Just ’cause I’m a black man in America / That’s what give them permission to treat us terrible / They too smart, too ambitious, too dangerous and vicious / Every day I wake up, I make rich n*gga decisions / The first person in my family to run up the millions.”

The front-end of the album is also peppered with skits from Dolph and an older man named Ronnie, who was apparently friends with Dolph’s dad growing up, and details an age bygone while sharing anecdotes about Dolph’s father in an elderly and endearing way. The meaning to a skit like this is amplified when we widen our lens– in the wake of this tragedy, Dolph’s partner, Mia Jaye, went viral for her past efforts advocating that “Black men deserve to grow old,” sharing the message via her clothing line and podcast. Ultimately, it is this privilege that Dolph was robbed of, and it was one he was also clearly paying homage to on Rich Slave.

Dolph was shot and killed close to Castalia Heights, the neighborhood where he grew up in South Memphis. He had stopped to get cookies at Makeda’s Cookies, a place he would indulge in often, and help promote locally. We know through Dolph’s music and his movements that he was self-aware and strategic, and thus, the risk that runs with staying around the neighborhood he grew up in was surely not lost on him. And yet, he put a certain responsibility to his community above any such risk. And that is what made Dolph, Dolph. That is what allowed Dolph to grow a Memphis-bred roster of artists; to donate significantly to his high school, Hamilton High School in Castalia Heights; to visit the West Cancer Center just two days before his death; to constantly give back to his fans in unique and inspiring ways; to do annual turkey giveaways in a much more intense fashion than most; to establish the Ida Mae Family Foundation in his grandmother’s name, for the benefit of his community.

Dolph didn’t remain a local presence selfishly. It was for the sake of the people who raised him, for the sake of his family, friends, and perhaps even more so, for the generations that will succeed him.

Rest in Peace, Young Dolph.

Saweetie Sings About Her “Icy Chain” On New Single

Saweetie may be pushing off the release of her debut project, Pretty Bitch Music, but that hasn’t stoped the 28-year-old from feeding her fans with new music, including her latest single, “Icy Chain.”

The under-2-minute long drop-off sees the “Best Friend” rapper use her signature Icy branding while spitting bars about wearing fur to fashion week and twerking her bodacious booty for some designer diamonds. “My hair, my money, come bundle/I spent your rent on my frontal (Yeah)/Bitches see me and get humble/Could take your n*gga but I don’t even want to (Hmm),” the 28-year-old sings on the track’s first verse.

On top of “Icy Chain,” Saweetie also recently came through with a new release on the soundtrack of the Netflix original film starring Halle Berry, Bruised, called “Attitude.” The movie tells the story of an MMA fighter, who, after reuniting with a son she had given up for adoption years ago, attempts to return to her former glory in the ring.

When addressing the delay of Pretty Bitch Music, Saweetie revealed that she felt the project was “a body of work with no soul.” Here’s to hoping she’s able to find the words she wants to say and put them into her debut album before it’s finally ready to be heard by the world.

Stream “Icy Chain” below and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics:

Left fashion week, hella casualties (Yeah)
I think I know why they mad at me (Hahaha)
I’m pretty, I’m in every city, but won’t hit the club unless it’s a bag for me
Daddy, answer me, I need to know why you’re mad at me
‘Cause you be complaining, you stay in your feelings
I’m starting to think you can’t handle me
