Remedy Previews New Album With Wu-Tang Group Cut “Crazy 8’s”

Remedy first appeared on Wu-Tang Killa Bees: The Swarm in 1998 and has been closely linked to the Staten Island supergroup ever since.

Nearly two-and-a-half decades since that first appearance, Remedy is on the precipice of releasing his first solo album, Remedy Meets Wu-Tang

And just days before Remedy Meets Wu-Tang is released to the masses, the “Never Again” rapper is back with yet another single from his upcoming record.

Following “Death Defying” and “The Pulpit,” “Crazy 8’s” is a window into what Remedy Meets Wu-Tang is going to sound and feel like.

With Remedy spitting alongside Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, Solomon Childs and Street Life, “Crazy 8’s” is the definition of a group cut. Over Danny Caiazzo production reminiscent of a time when Wu-Tang was the biggest thing in hip hop, Remedy leads the way and hands the baton down the line to the rest of the Wu. Like many of the tracks on Remedy Meets Wu-Tang, “Crazy 8’s” is classic Wu-Tang, and is a preview of what’s to come on Remedy’s November 26 release date.

Quotable Lyrics
Intense like the poison of a cobra
You hear the fat lady singin’ and it’s over
Domination, David and Goliath
You can’t see the truth when you biased

Ye’s Sunday Service Choir Covers A Drake Hit In The Wake Of Their Recent Treaty

During the most recent edition of Ye’s Sunday Service, his Sunday Service Choir introduced an unusual new selection to its repertoire: Drake’s 2018 no. 1 hit, “God’s Plan.” While the choir has played numerous contemporary classics over the course of the past few years, this one was different in that Kanye and Drake had been feuding for nearly the entirety of the choir’s existence. Although the origins of the feud remain unclear to this day, the performance of the new song was made possible by the recent ceasefire the two stars called at the behest of J. Prince and Larry Hoover Jr.

In fact, Ye was apparently so amped about their reconciliation, the choir not only opened Sunday Service with “God’s Plan,” but also reprised it after several Donda songs, according to HipHopDX. The performance may well have constituted a preview of Drake and Ye’s upcoming concert to benefit the elder Larry Hoover’s efforts to have his life prison sentence commuted, which the pair officially announced yesterday as well.

The concert is set for December 9 at the Los Angeles Coliseum and will see the two rappers join each other on stage for the first time in nearly a decade. The architect behind both the concert and the truce was apparently Houston impresario (and rumored threatening figure) J. Prince, who first posted alongside Kanye imploring Drake to bury the hatchet before the two rappers were seen together with Prince in a photo suggesting they’d done just that.

T-Pain And Usher Reunite Onstage To Make Up Over Their Decade-Long Autotune Dustup

HipHopDX reports that the longstanding discord between R&B/pop stars T-Pain and Usher finally came to an end last night in Atlanta as the two singers met onstage at a concert afterparty for Dave Chappelle’s documentary premiere event. After the initial film and comedy set, the show reportedly consisted of sets from the likes of local legends such as 2 Chainz, 21 Savage, Jeezy, Monica, and more.

Although phones weren’t allowed inside the venue, a video of Pain and Usher reconciling still found its way online, giving a glimpse into their reunion. T-Pain told Usher, “I love you, bro. I’m telling you, we ain’t going through nothing, bro. We ain’t going through a god damn thing. It’s all love. In a time when we’re divided the most, we need to be together the most. I love you, bro. I’m never not gonna love you, bro, trust me.”

While there was likely never any real ill will between the two artists, Pain’s comments on Netflix’s This Is Pop docuseries could have lent the impression that he held a grudge after he admitted a chance encounter between the two sent him into a deep depression. “[Usher] was like, ‘Yeah man you really f*cked up music for real singers,’” he recalled. Meanwhile, Usher claimed that the encounter never happened in Billboard, prompting T-Pain to tell Power 105’s Angie Martinez that he’d reached out to Usher to settle the dispute.

“I hit Usher after the interview came out, and I’m like, ‘I’m sure you saw what happened,’” he said. “‘That was the truth. That’s what happened, you definitely said that.’ I remember that whole day. Then all he texted me back was, ‘Let’s not text, let’s talk.’ And I was like, ‘Cool, hit me up.’ And I never heard from him, he never called me. I feel like I initiated the contact.”

It appears that the two were able to make good on Usher’s suggestion and turn the page on that particular chapter of both their lives.

Chrissy Teigen Shows Off Her Eyebrow Transplant, Cautions Against Over-Plucking

Rumour has it that BBL’s are on the way out, which means it’s time for a new cosmetic procedure craze to take over the world. While lip injections and botox seem to be working for some, others, like Chrissy Teigen, have opted to focus on their eyebrows.

On Saturday, the 35-year-old revealed via Instagram that she underwent an eyebrow transplant, which involves hairs being removed from the back of a patient’s head and placed on the face. The end result creates an aesthetically pleasing shape, providing much fuller brows for those who may have over-plucked or are suffering from thinness.

“I never wear makeup if I can avoid it so I was so excited for this eyebrow transplant surgery,” Teigen captioned a photo on her story. The procedure appears to have been done by Dr. Jason Diamond and Dr. Jason Champagne, and the selfies she shared show a dramatic difference.

Later in the evening, the mother of two gave her followers another update, sharing that her eyebrows look “a little dark” right now, but she’s pleased to have them back on her face. She also cautioned people, especially teenagers to “not pluck them all off like I did!!!”

Dr. Diamond shared some of the model’s photos to his own page, also cautioning about the dangers of over-plucking. “Eyebrows play a huge part of the facial aesthetic,” he wrote. “They frame the eyes and can either be an asset to the eyes, or they can be the annoying part of your morning you have to spend ten minutes filling in.”

Skip Bayless Irate Following LeBron James’ “Dirty Play” On Isaiah Stewart

LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart were the talk of the NBA world last night as they got into an altercation that led to a security presence in Detroit. Essentially, James elbowed Stewart right in the face and it left him all bloodied up. Stewart was enraged by this and as a way to exact revenge, he tried to break free from his teammates and hunt LeBron down.

Luckily for the Lakers superstar, LeBron was being protected by security staff and teammates, who weren’t going to let Stewart get to him. Overall, it was quite a memorable scene and fans couldn’t help but make memes to make light of the whole ordeal.

Today on Undisputed, professional LeBron hater Skip Bayless went off on the altercation as he was practically screaming at times while debating Shannon Sharpe. Bayless called LeBron’s play “dirty” and even called for him to get suspended.

“LeBron James closed his fist! And he looked at that man right in the face before leading with his elbow and then cold-cocking Isaiah with his forearm and the back of his fist! LeBron should be suspended,” he said.

Sharpe had a different take on the whole thing as he felt like Stewart was putting on a tough guy act, even though he really didn’t have to. After all, Stewart had an opportunity to swing on LeBron immediately after the elbow but chose not to.

T-Pain & Usher Officially Squash Autotune Beef With On-Stage Hug

During his appearance on Netflix’s This Is Pop earlier this year, T-Pain revealed that Usher told him he “f*cked up music,” with his use of autotune, and that the “Love In This Club” singer’s comments sent him into depression for four years.

Usher was ostracized on social media, and despite his efforts to make amends for his harmful words, T-Pain said that the two had never had a real conversation about the remarks.

But in the months since T-Pain’s This Is Pop revelation, he has maintained that he doesn’t harbor any bad feelings for Usher. He laughed off Usher’s allegedly false claims that he had apologized for his comments, and this weekend, T-Pain went out of his way to squash any remaining beef between the two.

At an Atlanta after-party concert thrown by Dave Chappelle in celebration of his new, untitled documentary, the “Im N Luv” singer addressed Usher on stage.

“The energy we put out into this world, affects everybody else in this world,” Pain started. “I love you, bro. I’m telling you, we ain’t going through nothing, bro. We ain’t going through a god damn thing. It’s all love. In a time when we’re divided the most, we need to be together the most. I love you, bro. I’m never not gonna love you, bro, trust me.”

The two hugged it out following T-Pain’s comments, and all seems to be well in the world of mid-2000s superstars, but what do you think? Is this totally squashed? Or does Usher need to address his comments in a more direct manner? Let us know down in the comments.

50 Cent’s “Power Book II” Was “Written Exclusively” For Mary J. Blige, According To Method Man

Industry legends Method Man and Mary J. Blige have been working together for longer than some of us have been alive. Back in 1995, the artists linked up for the Wu-Tang Clan MC’s debut project Tical, and decades later, they share the screen on 50 Cent’s hit series, Power Book II: Ghost.

Blige plays the role of Monet Stewart Tejada, a drug cartel queen pin who’s known for her stone-cold ferocity. While chatting with Metro, her long-time friend and co-star gave some insight as to why he thinks she does the part so much justice. “Mary brought a big audience with her, they knew what they was doing.”

“Plus, Mary was a fan of this show and I think this show was written exclusively for her, especially with the Monet character which I think she is brilliant at. I love seeing Mary outside of her comfort zone as far as being on-stage and singing and all that. She’s been getting her feet wet in this acting game and there’s only room for improvement and she has all my support.”

Method Man went on to say that the “Family Affair” artist is more real than regular. “This is our royalty regardless of how anyone else feels about her, Mary is our royalty and we’re not going to let anyone tarnish this brand. She’s bringing it this season – I just wish she’d hug her kids [laughs] but in the business she’s in, she can’t be soft at all, it’s got to be tough love all around the board and she’s killing it,” the 50-year-old told Metro.

The two stars received a Grammy in 1996 for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group following the release of “I’ll Be There For You/You’re All I Need To Get By,” which also happened to peak at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2003, they collaborated once again, this time for Blige’s Love & Life album on the song “Love @ 1st Sight,” which you can check out below.

Odell Beckham Jr. & GF Lauren Wood Announce First Child Together

Odell Beckham Jr. got some good news just a couple of weeks ago as it was revealed that he would be joining the Los Angeles Rams for the rest of the season. The Rams are a team looking to win a Super Bowl this year and OBJ’s presence on the team could very well lead to some amazing moments. Of course, his first game with the team was a bit of a disappointment, however, coming off of a bye-week, it is expected that Beckham Jr. will be in prime shape to carry this Rams offense forward.

As for his personal life, well, he has been enjoying the last two years with his model girlfriend Lauren Wood. The two are always posted up together on social media, and now, they are taking the next step in their relationship as they revealed over the weekend that they are having a child.

In the post below, you can see that Wood is fairly far along in her pregnancy. The couple took some pregnancy shots to celebrate the news, and the couple looks as happy as ever about the whole thing. This is their first child together, and based on Wood’s caption, it seems as though they could very well be having a girl. Needless to say, it’s a very good time to be OBJ right now.

Regardless, this is a momentous occasion for the couple, and we wish them nothing but the best moving forward when it comes to the health of their baby.

Marking 11 Years Of “MBDTF” With “Dark Fantasy”

Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is an oft-discussed project that is sometimes thrown into the conversation for the greatest hip hop album of all time.

Last year, HNHH sat down with producer and engineer Anthony Kilhoffer to discuss the tenth anniversary of Ye’s most iconic album, and everything that went into making it. Kilhoffer broke down everything involving the creation of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, including the fabled Hawaii sessions, and revealed the genesis for the nature of the album.

“[Kanye’s] attention to detail for Dark Twisted Fantasy was way more specific,” Kilhoffer told us. “There was way more to prove.”

No track embodies that mentality more than MBDTF‘s opener, “Dark Fantasy.”

Rapping over production from himself and the legendary RZA, Ye weaved braggadocious-but-conscious verses between an interlude from Nicki Minaj and a beautifully sung chorus by Teyana Taylor and Justin Vernon. And with a grandiose choir handling the last third of the track, he set the tone for the rest of the album, and foreshadowed the musical direction he’d take in the future.

While “Dark Fantasy” isn’t “Monster” or “Runaway,” it was the front door to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and kicks off the record that many believe is West’s magnum opus.

Quotable Lyrics
The plan was drink until the pain over
But what’s worse, the pain or the hangover?
Fresh air, rollin’ down the window
Too many Urkels on your team, that’s why your wins low
