Following Fetty Wap’s comments this week during an interview with Fat Joe about “falling back” from music because of depression and other factors, the CEO of his label RGF Productions has called him out, accusing him of lying about paying for his bail, as well as manufacturing his entire persona as a “street dude.”
Nitt Da Gritt, the CEO of RGF Productions, took to social media to diss Fetty Wap, taking fans by surprise as it was perceived that their relationship was fine.

In April 2020, Matthew Hughes brought Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP2 intro track “Bad Guy” to life by breaking into the Detroit rapper’s home in Clinton Township, Michigan, and threatening his life. Thankfully, Hughes was unsuccessful in his attempts to harm Eminem, and he was subsequently arrested for home invasion. Eventually, Hughes was sentenced to probation for his crime after serving 524 days in jail following his initial arrest.
However, it appears that the Michigan man has found himself in legal trouble once again. According to U.S. News, Hughes recently violated his probation by failing to show up for his first court-mandated probation appointment on September 30, and to add insult to injury, he also been accused of assaulting a mall security officer in southeastern Michigan.

Following the probation violation, Matthew Hughes was detained at Macomb County Jail until he was able to stand in front of Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens, Michigan, this week. Hughes reportedly pleaded guilty to violating the terms of his probation earlier this fall, but he pleaded not guilty to the assault charge.
According to Macomb Daily, Hughes will remain in county jail until his sentencing date on December 15 in lieu of a $10,000 bond, and he also reportedly owes the courts $1,950 stemming from his previous home invasion case in 2019.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’ll be holiday gift shopping time before you know it. Every year, gift buyers are faced with the unique challenge of trying to figure out what they should be getting for their loved ones to show their love and affection. Luckily, we here at Uproxx got some of our favorite artists to help get the juices flowing with the Uproxx Holiday Gift Guide, letting the world in on the best gives they’ve ever given, received, or ones they wish they had thought of.
Next up is Shinedown, who are marking the holidays with a cover of John Lennon’s “Happy X-Mas (War Is Over).” To celebrate the new cover, vocalist Brent Smith sat down to recommend handmade gifts, cash, and vinyl in the latest Uproxx Holiday Gift Guide. Check out their holiday sale here.
What album makes the best holiday gift and why do you love it?
The album that I would give as a gift would either be Back In Black by AC/DC or Appetite For Destruction by Guns N’ Roses. They’re iconic. They are also an introduction into the awesome world of rock n roll, and they’re great records.
What’s the perfect gift for your significant other and why?
Well, the perfect gift would be your love because that should be given all year around. But, also, I think if your significant other really means a lot to you, it’s always cool to do something by hand, whether it’s a card or whether you make them something. It’s just a different way of giving somebody a gift instead of going out and buying it at a store or online. If you make something for them, a lot of times they feel that that is much more significant and quite special.
Mom and dad can be the hardest to shop for. What’s a great gift for the parental figure in your life?
That really just depends on a lot of different things, but most of the time, you know, they kind of give you subtle hints through the years what they want. It’s usually stuff for the house, or, I remember a couple of years ago, I bought my mother a Mercedes because she hadn’t had a brand-new car in over 25 years. So, you just have to listen to your parents, and they kind of give you subtle hints with what they could use or what they might need.
What’s the one merch item of yours that you think makes a great gift and why?
Definitely the vinyl records because we spent a lot of time on those. We’ve got a lot of different reissues and what have you, so definitely vinyl is always a cool gift.
Some of the best gifts are experiences. What’s an experience you think would make a great gift?
Any time you can travel the world, any time that you can go to a different country and experience that culture, that’s always a great gift. So that’s what I would say. A family trip or even just a trip to a different country with friends. That’s always a great gift and a cool, cool experience.
Is there a gift not covered in these questions that you want to highlight?
There is, actually. And that is your time. Your time to sit and be present with the people that you love and respect and, you know, just listening sometimes is one of the greatest gifts that you can give, and you can give that gift all year around.
After spending a decade in the National Basketball Associaton, Iman Shumpert took his talents from the hardwood to the dancefloor earlier this fall when it was announced the 2016 NBA champion would appear on the 30th season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
Following a slow start, Shumpert began to receive recognition for his DWTS routines and after he and his professional dance partner Daniella Karagach nailed their routine to Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and followed it up with a perfect score a few weeks later, it became clear that Shumpert was coming for the crown.
Coupled with his rap career, a Dancing With The Stars victory pointed towards Shumpert continuing down a path towards music, but in a recent interview with TMZ, the high-flyer said he wasn’t done with basketball.
“Tryna see what we can get done,” Shumpert responded when asked if he planned to return to the NBA. “I love basketball. I never stopped playing.”

Continuing to explain that it wasn’t his choice not to play this season, Shumpert likened his situation to a relationship.
“They call me a ‘former’, ‘ex’ but I told them the league just didn’t pay me this year,” he told TMZ. “It’s not an ‘ex’ thing. Me and the league didn’t break up!”
What do you think? Will Shumpert make it back into the NBA? Let us know down in the comments.

Remedy’s new album Remedy Meets Wu-Tangis a message to the world that he, the Wu-Tang Clan, and all other Wu-Tang affiliates can still spit with the best of them. The 14-song, 43-minute record is a masterclass in Wu-Tang’s signature, 90s sound, but with the context of the last three decades. From records like “Death Defying” and “The Pulpit” to Remedy’s album-ending solo cut, “Never Again,” Remedy Meets Wu-Tang is a time capsule from hip hop’s greatest era, and no track embodies the spirit of the album like “Crazy 8’s.”
In the brand-new visuals for “Crazy 8’s,” Remedy and seven of his closest rap acquaintances body every second of the record’s Danny Caiazzo-produced instrumental, and in front of a plain, white background, make sure that all the attention is squarely on them. Spitting verse after verse after verse, Remedy and the Wu-Tang crew bring the energy to back up their menacing bars, and come together for one of 2021’s most iconic music videos.
Check out the video for Remedy’s “Crazy 8’s” and let us know what you think down in the comments.
While the Atlantic Ocean separates London and New York City, there are parallels between the drill music being made in both locations and just today, Peckham rapper Giggs and Brooklyn rapper Rowdy Rebel linked up to mold both styles into one song.

“Differences,” released alongside Giggs’ solo effort, “Innocent,” is the perfect blend of Peckham and Brooklyn, and with JordanProdIt and Ellis Lost highlighting Giggs’ and Rowdy Rebel’s best qualities with a cold, ominous drill instrumental, the single is yet another example of the “Peligro” rapper making the most of his overseas connections. Following a handful of features on Drake records, and his most recent work with Meek Mill on “Northside Southside,” “Differences” is another hit and fits well in Giggs’ catalogue of North American collaborations.
