Lakers & Knicks Reportedly Eyeing Ben Simmons Trade

Ben Simmons is currently in the midst of a divorce from the Philadelphia 76ers, and the only resolution right now is a trade. The Sixers have been hard at work looking for a trade partner, and while they haven’t found one, it appears as though they have plenty of suitors coming out of the woodwork. Trade talks are beginning to ramp up, and fans in Philly are eager to see what kind of proposals are laid out over the coming weeks.

In a new report from Shams Charania of The Athletic, it was revealed that there are some high profile teams who are looking into Simmons right now. For instance, the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are two teams who have expressed some interest. The Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Cleveland Cavaliers have also been putting feelers out.

Per Charania:

“The 76ers are ramping up their efforts to spark multi-team trade scenarios to move Simmons, sources said, and a fresh pool of teams has emerged as potential destinations.

The New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers are among the teams interested in Simmons, sources said, although it’s unclear how much traction Philadelphia truly has on any move.”

At this point, it doesn’t seem like the Sixers are close to a deal, however, it is good to see that Simmons is gaining interest. The sooner he leaves, the better, as the Sixers just want to move on with their lives at this point.

Kanye Joined Future For A Surprise Performance At Rolling Loud

In the handful of years since its inception, Rolling Loud has accumulated an impressive number of memorable surprises, from Offset popping out during Cardi B’s headlining set with a big public apology to DaBaby bringing out Tory Lanez for his set in Miami. And while both of those examples land more on the “Facepalm” side of the spectrum, the final night of the festival in San Bernardino brought one that was much more exciting and positive.

During Future’s closing set, the Atlanta rapper brought out one of the biggest names in hip-hop: Kanye West, aka Ye, who joined Future to perform a freestyle to Future’s “F*ck Up Some Commas,” as well as his own monster hit, “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.”

The surprise performance capped an impressive week for Ye, who also held his Free Larry Hoover concert in Los Angeles just a few days earlier. Unfortunately, in true Kanye fashion, that show now has as much potential for controversy as anything else he’s done in the past few years. A new report found that the merchandise profits from the show — which also featured Drake as a special guest, constituting a ceasefire between the two rapperswon’t be donated to any charities.

Lady Gaga, Alana Haim, Billie Eilish, And Other Music Stars Earned 2022 Golden Globes Nominations

The Golden Globes celebrate the best in TV and movies, but the music world usually finds its way into the proceedings, too. The nominees for the 2022 event were announced this morning, and sure enough, some of the biggest names in music are on the list.

Lady Gaga scored a huge nomination thanks to her work on House Of Gucci, as she’s up for Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture, Drama. On the flip side, Alana Haim got a nomination for Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture, Musical Or Comedy for her breakout starring role in Licorice Pizza.

When it comes to music-specific awards, Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood locked up a nomination for Best Original Score for The Power Of The Dog. As for Best Original Song, Motion Picture, the field is packed with familiar names: Beyoncé (for “Be Alive” from King Richard), Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Dos Orugitas” from Encanto), Van Morrison (“Down To Joy” from Belfast), Jennifer Hudson (“Here I Am (Singing My Was Home)” from Respect), and Billie Eilish (“No Time To Die” from No Time To Die).

Meanwhile, a few music-adjacent projects are up for Best Motion Picture, Comedy Or Musical: Cyrano (Aaron and Bryce Dessner composed the film’s score), Don’t Look Up (Kid Cudi and Ariana Grande have roles in the movie), and Licorice Pizza.

Justin Herbert Breaks Impressive NFL Record In Win Against The Giants

Justin Herbert has been lights out for the Los Angeles Chargers this season. While he does have some moments of inconsistency, there are other times where he is far and away the best player on the field. In his rookie season, Herbert ended up throwing for 30 touchdowns, and last night against the New York Giants, Herbert reached the 30 TD plateau once again.

This was a special moment for Herbert as he reached a milestone that has never been achieved in the history of the NFL. He is now the first quarterback to have thrown 30 touchdowns in each of their first two seasons in the NFL.

With other young quarterbacks have had two consecutive seasons with 30 touchdowns, they have never done it in their rookie and sophomore seasons. This ultimately makes Herbert special in the grand scheme of things, and it just goes to show how good the Chargers are going to be for years to come.

As for yesterday’s game, the Chargers defeated the Giants by a score of 37-21, and throws like the one below are what led to Herbert’s fantastic performance. If you’re a fan of the Chargers, you can’t help but be excited about the team’s future.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you more updates from the NFL world.

DaBaby Pelted With Drinks During Rolling Loud Performance

It’s safe to say that many people still haven’t forgiven and forgotten about DaBaby’s disturbing rant about gay people and HIV from Rolling Loud in Miami earlier this year. The North Carolina-bred rapper was a headline performer at the festival’s dates in Los Angeles this weekend and when he jumped on stage, angry fans pelted water bottles, drinks, and other objects at the rapper.

A video from DaBaby’s performance on Sunday night shows the rapper warming up to sing his hit song “Rockstar” as fans in the crowd throw various objects at him, including water bottles and other drinks. The rapper didn’t comment on fans’ behavior at that moment, but it seems the raucousness of the audience quieted down as he kept on performing. During other parts of his show, the self-proclaimed “Live Show Killa” hopped into the crowd and partied with fans in the front row and plenty of happy faces gladly sang every word to his songs.

DaBaby was the final performer on one of the three stages at Rolling Loud, turning up his side of the festival site as Kanye West and Future lit up the crowd for a surprise show of their own on the main stage. Read more about that here.

Check out a video of DaBaby being pelted with different objects as he performed this weekend, and let us know if he’s still canceled in your eyes.

Tyron Woodley Disses Tommy Fury Ahead Of Jake Paul Fight

Tyron Woodley is going up against Jake Paul this Saturday as he will look to avenge his loss from this past August. Jake was originally going to fight Tommy Fury, who dropped out due to a rib injury and a chest infection. As you can imagine, Woodley is very excited about this fight, and as he told TMZ, he is a much better matchup than Fury was.

“Nobody wants to see no f***ing Tommy Fury fight, come on now,” Woodley said. “Now his brother is lit. But, he can’t ride the coattails of Tyson.”

Woodley went on to diss Fury further as he was asked whether or not he is a tougher opponent. This led to a mini rant about how Jake Paul was ducking the smoke, and that he chose Fury because he knew he would lose to Woodley if they fought for a second time.

“Of course I am, s***. That’s why he took [the Fury] fight instead,” Woodley said. “He made a double wager and then didn’t honor it because s***, why would he go back and give me the chance to finish off what I started now that I’ve been in there with him.”

Now, Paul will have a chance to prove Woodley wrong, all while Tyron has an opportunity to force a trilogy match, with a win. It should make for an entertaining duel, and it all goes down in Tampa Bay. Let us know who you think will win, in the comments below.
