Man Claims COVID-19 Caused His Penis Size To Shrink

A man who claims that his penis size was “above average” says it shrunk down to “decidedly less than average,” after contracting COVID-19. The victim discussed the issue in a recent episode of the podcast, How To Do It.

The man, in his 30s, says he was hospitalized after testing positive for COVID in July 2021. Since then, he’s experienced erectile dysfunction and has been medicated for the issue; however, he also says his penis has shrunk.

“My doctors seem to think it’s likely permanent,” he said.

He adds that it has had a “profound impact on my self-confidence and my abilities in bed.”

Charles Welliver, director of Men’s Health at Albany Medical College, says that a degree of shrinkage is possible in men suffering from erectile dysfunction.

Additionally, as COVID-19 can affect blood flow within the body, Ashley G. Winter, a urologist at the Kaiser Permanente healthcare company, says ED could be a side effect of blood vessels being affected.

“You get hard because a whole bunch of blood moves into your penis and stays there,” Winter explained to Slate. “When those blood vessels are affected, you know, then you can get the erectile dysfunction.”

New Music Friday: New Heat From Lil Wayne, Cordae, J.I.D., & More

The music industry is getting back into the swing of new music releases following the holiday lull. After last week’s high-profile album releases from Gunna and The Weeknd, we have another solid release day on our hands, including drops from some of rap’s most revered characters.

This week, we’re welcoming new music from Lil Wayne (who uploaded Sorry 4 The Wait to streaming services with four new songs), Earl Sweatshirt (who dropped his new album, SICK!), YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and many more.

For the second week of our New Music Friday round-up, we’re taking a look at some of the hottest hip-hop and R&B releases from the last week, including everything that dropped on Friday (January 14).

Have a look at our curated list below and let us know your favorite new song and album of this week in the comments.

Lil Wayne – Sorry 4 The Wait

One of rap’s most respected emcees, New Orleans-based living legend Lil Wayne finally released his beloved mixtape, Sorry 4 The Wait, on streaming services. As a gift to the fans, he included four new songs at the front of the tracklist, including features from Lil Tecca, and production from Yung Bleu.

Revisit some of your favorite Tunechi records over the weekend, and listen to his new work at the same time.

Gunna – “P Power” (feat. Drake)

Quite possibly one of the horniest beats we’ve ever heard, Gunna’s new Metro Boomin-produced song “P Power” with Drake features a disco-influenced soundscape with a woman’s moans throughout the record. Despite not being included in the original release of DS4EVER, “P Power” arrives one week later to much fanfare. While this might not be the most appropriate song to blast in the crib, “P Power” is surely a memorable addition to both Gunna and Drake’s discography.

J.I.D. – “Surround Sound” (feat. 21 Savage & Baby Tate)

J.I.D. season officially begins with the release of “Surround Sound.” A true Atlanta love affair, the new single features 21 Savage and Baby Tate. Arriving ahead of his highly-anticipated new album, The Forever Story, J.I.D. comes through with rapid-fire bars, an exciting flow switch in the second half, and incredible penmanship. Get ready for another strong year from the Dreamville representative.

EARTHGANG – “All Eyes On Me”

Moving onto another Dreamville act, EARTHGANG also dropped some heat on Friday, coming through with “All Eyes On Me.” The release follows “American Horror Story,” which dropped at the end of last year. It continues in a similar vein, discussing the experiences of Black men living in America. Listen to the new JetsonMade-produced record, which will be included on EARTHGANG’s new album Ghetto Gods.

Cordae – From a Birds Eye View

The new double-disc sophomore album from Maryland-raised rapper Cordae arrives at the top of 2022, including features from Eminem, Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Gunna, Freddie Gibbs, and more. Following up his Grammy-nominated debut, The Lost Boy, Cordae continues to show why he’s a top-tier lyricist on this album, which has already earned great reviews from fans. Could he earn another Grammy nomination for this one?

Earl Sweatshirt – SICK!

We rarely hear from Earl Sweatshirt but in the last few weeks, the 27-year-old rapper has been unloading layers from his new studio album, SICK!, which dropped in full on Friday. With features from Armand Hammer and Zelooperz, this one is a must-listen for the weekend.

Chris Brown – “Iffy”

Chris Brown is officially back. Kicking off the rollout to his next studio album, Breezy, the iconic singer has released his new single “Iffy.” The track arrives ahead of multiple projects that Chris has slated for release this year, including a short film, an album, and more. Have a listen to see what direction he’s headed in next.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again – “Bring The Hook”

The world anticipated an all-new mixtape from YoungBoy Never Broke Again on Friday, but the Baton Rouge-based rapper must have forgotten about his own announcement. Instead, five new songs from Colors arrived on streaming services, including the much-discussed song, “Bring The Hook.” Many of YB’s rap contemporaries (Lil Durk, Lil Reese, NLE Choppa, etc.) have responded to him with regards to one line in the song, dissing Chicago’s O-Block gangsters. Check it out ahead of YoungBoy’s mixtape release next week.

FKA twigs – CAPRISONGS

Right in the midst of Capricorn season, FKA twigs drops an album for her January-born hustlers featuring The Weeknd, Daniel Caesar, Jorja Smith, and more. The release marks the beginning of the artist’s major label partnership with Atlantic Records, further solidifying her as one of the most innovative pop voices of the last decade.

Joey Bada$$ – “THE REV3NGE”

Joey Bada$$ is out for blood with the release of his new single “THE REV3NGE.” Utilizing similar horns as J. Cole’s “Middle Child,” Joey’s hype new record is the first single from the rapper’s highly-anticipated upcoming third album. It arrives following Joey’s takeover as an actor in Two Distant Strangers, Raising Kanan, and more. He’s back for the win — stay tuned for more new music from Joey Bada$$ throughout this year.

Babyface Ray – “Dancing With The Devil” (feat. Pusha-T & Landstrip Chip)

Detroit rapper Babyface Ray is angling to have a massive year and he’s kicking it off with his new single, “Dancing With The Devil” featuring Pusha-T and Landstrip Chip. The laidback new single is produced by OG Parker, allowing the trio to cook work effectively.

Johan Lenox – “No One Gets Me” (feat. RMR)

Rising artist Johan Lenox releases his new single, “No One Gets Me” featuring RMR. The emotional new record is the latest to arrive from Johan’s upcoming album WDYWTBWYGU. With innovative vocal production techniques and a tremendous contribution from the mysterious masked artist RMR, Johan’s album is shaping up to be one filled with quality from the outstanding classical musician, who has built his resume by working with the likes of Kanye West, Big Sean, Snoh Aalegra, and more.

Kota The Friend – Lyrics To GO, Vol. 3

One of the most underrated rappers in the game, Kota The Friend reloads with another edition of Lyrics To GO. The ten-track project is a very personal one for Kota, getting vulnerable with his fans on the featureless body of work.

Brockhampton Is Taking An ‘Indefinite Hiatus’ After A Few More Concerts

Brockhampton dropped the bombshell today that fans have been fearing for a while. The group is breaking up after a nearly decade-long run as hip-hop’s preeminent “boy band.” A statement tweeted out from the @brockhampton account out at 10 a.m. PT explained that following their two shows in London in February and their two performances at both weekends of Coachella in April, the group will be on an “indefinite hiatus” and that 40-plus tour dates in 2022 will be cancelled. The full statement reads:

“Brockhampton’s upcoming shows at the O2 Academy Brixton in London and at Coachella will be our performances as a group. All other tour dates are canceled, effective immediately. refunds for all tickets and VIP packages will be available at the point of purchase.

Following these four performances, we will be taking an indefinite hiatus as a group.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being on this journey with us. We would not be here without our fans. We hope we’ve been able to inspire you as much as you have these past eight years.

We are bonded and grateful to you for life.”

Back in May of 2021, shortly after the San Marcos, Texas-forged group’s final album, Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine was released, de facto leader Kevin Abstract explained in a tweet that “everybody just getting a lil older and got a lot to say outside of group projects,” and that “this next project we’re just doing what’s rite.”

As explained in the statement, refunds for tickets to the Here Right Now Tour will be offered at point of purchase.

Doja Cat Responded To Charles Hamilton’s Criticism Of Her By Mistaking Him For Another Artist Entirely

Way back before there was streaming but long after the rap game had gone digital, blogs ruled the music tastemaker scene. The right post on the right blog could garner an emerging artist a massive fanbase seemingly overnight and many of today’s biggest stars — Big Sean, Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, and Wale among them — owe their popularity at least partially to those posts.

However, for every success story, there were quite a few blog favorites who never quite panned out once they got broader exposure. Call it the “big fish, little pond” effect, but many eagerly anticipated newcomers often fell flat once they were called upon to repeat their successes on a larger scale. One of those rappers was Charles Hamilton, whose promising 2009 single “Brooklyn Girls” prompted an outsized buzz that he ultimately failed to capitalize on. When last we heard from Hamilton, he was the recipient of the punch heard ’round the net, and had quietly faded into quasi obscurity.

Recently, though, he experienced a renewed surge of attention on Twitter. Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t due to his music but once again due to his antics and his poorly timed comments to a woman who promptly put him in his place. His target? Doja Cat.

“Doja, you gotta chill,” he wrote. “The whole world is watching and, yes, judging you. Time to grow up. I know. Sucks. But… yeah.” Hamilton even had the audacity to tag the “Kiss Me More” performer in his tweet, which he followed up with another pointed missive undercutting Doja’s recently expressed desire to collaborate with well-respected producer 9th Wonder. “Also, @dojacat is talking about being on 9th beats,” he noted. “Meaning, she wants to be taken serious (as a spitter). I’m just saying she should take herself more serious. She, like I said, is already rockin’ the world.”

The backhanded compliments went over poorly with fans, and trying to head off the backlash, he dug the hole deeper. “I wasn’t hating on Doja Cat,” he lied. “I’m just asking her to take herself serious. She’s already one of the elite females in music [editor’s note: If that ain’t a red flag]. I don’t want to hear her ridiculed for being silly. Like I was at one point. Y’all can chill out now.” While he might feel like he has a point, he wasn’t ridiculed for being silly so much as lying about collaborating with J Dilla and, again, getting punched in the face on camera for overstepping his bounds while addressing a woman. Sounds familiar, I don’t know.

To her credit, Doja — who is no stranger to the criticism of contemporaries and elders, having taken flak from NORE and Nas for online scandals that were twisted by detractors — handled the situation perfectly, with her usual blend of poise and absurdist humor. “Bro i thought you were Anthony Hamilton,” she joked. “i was about to tell my whole family I was so excited.” She followed up by ridiculing Hamilton’s biggest hit, clowning that “u that one dude that was like “’ABADABADABA BROOKLYN GIRLS.’” Ouch. Well, at least Charles Hamilton can take solace in the fact that this time, he only got dunked on instead of punched in the face. Maybe this time, he’ll learn his lesson.

Lil Tecca Stars In Lil Wayne’s “Sorry 4 The Wait” Bonus Track “Anti-Hero”

Over the course of this week, Hip-Hop fans have been reminiscing on decade-old mixtapes and albums like Future’s Astronaut Status and ScHoolboy Q’s Habits & Contradictions, and although one of this week’s New Music Friday drops actually celebrated its 10-year anniversary last summer, fans have been flocking to the rerelease of Lil Wayne’s iconic 2011 mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait nevertheless.

Like Nicki Minaj’s Beam Me Up Scotty, A$AP Rocky’s LIVE.LOVE.A$AP, and other mixtapes that have been recently updated for consumption on streaming services, Sorry 4 The Wait came attached with four new bonus tracks, including “Cameras,” “Lil Romeo,” “Bleu Snappin’,” and “Anti-Hero.” The latter is a dark and swelling track that is produced by Alex Lustig & Tay Keith, and surprisingly, it also features “Ransom” rapper Lil Tecca.

Serving as the first official collaboration between Lil Wayne and the Queens rapper/producer, “Anti-Hero” finds both of the artists delivering a hard-hitting anthem that’s complete with pop-culture references to former Florida Gators football star Tim Tebow and one of the most renowned comic book villains of all time, Magneto.

Listen to Lil Wayne’s Lil Tecca-assisted track “Anti-Hero” below, and even though you’ve likely listened to Sorry 4 The Wait countless times over the past decade, check out the rerelease of the iconic mixtape here.

Quotable Lyrics

Tunechi just sent it, he said, “Tecca, kill it”
I be worried ’bout Benji’s, I’m worried ’bout digits
If I step on your block, then we spinnin’ like fidgets
Better watch out, they hoppin’ right up out the Civic

Doja Cat Flames Charles Hamilton For Telling Her To “Grow Up”

You can’t deny Doja Cat’s talent. Her star prowess is shining these days but her pop-centric stylings shouldn’t deter you from doubting her pen. She’s proven that she can drop bars, and she’s even fielded comparisons to Nicki Minaj in the past few years. However, one person that doesn’t seem to be a fan of her is Charles Hamilton. It may have been a while since you’ve heard that name but his recent comments on Doja Cat and her talent didn’t go unseen.

Daniel Boczarski/Getty Images

“Doja Cat, you gotta chill. The whole world is watching and yes, judging you. Time to grow up,” he wrote, seemingly unprovoked. “I know. SUcks. But yeah…”

Though Charles Hamilton’s tweets have since been deleted, Doja Cat didn’t hold back when she decided to roast him. “You ain’t sh*t,” he wrote in response to the since-deleted tweet. Doja then stated that she was initially under the impression that Charles Hamilton was actually the platinum-selling artist Anthony Hamilton.

“Bro i thought you were Anthony Hamilton i was about to tell my whole family I was so excited,” she tweeted before flaming Charles Hamilton’s catalog. “u that one dude that was like “YABADABADABA BROOKLYN GIRLS,” she wrote in a separate tweet.

It seems like the back-and-forth has since died down but it was still a confusing and unexpected exchange. Check Doja’s tweets below.

Kanye West Leaves L.A Amid Assault Investigation To Focus On Coachella

It’s a weird time to be reporting on the state of pop culture. With KimYe now in the past (kinda), Kanye West has now moved onto Uncut Gems actress Julia Fox and they’ve been making rounds across the country in the two weeks since they’ve met. Unfortunately, during a recent outing, Kanye West allegedly got into a little tussle with a fan, leading to an investigation.

According to TMZ, Kanye West will be making his way out of Los Angeles following the incident. Sources close to the rapper claim that he’s making his way to SoCal where he’ll be locked in to work on his upcoming performance at Coachella. The rapper’s already started to schedule meetings with Coachella’s production staff for his stage layout.

On top of preparing for his forthcoming set at Coachella, Kanye West will also be working on Donda 2. As we previously recorded, Steven Victor indicated that it would drop this year, and Julia Fox even offered a promising update on a song with Future. Additionally, Kanye and The Game are reportedly dropping a new song tonight, which might end up being the lead single off of Ye’s next album.

In terms of the investigation, law enforcement officials said that LAPD hasn’t been in contact with Kanye West just yet. Ye is accused of punching, pushing, and shoving a fan to the ground after they asked for an autograph.

Pooh Shiesty Denied Bond, Will Stay In Prison Through Sentencing

Pooh Shiesty has been denied bond in his ongoing federal firearms case and will remain in prison in Florida, where he’s been since July 2021. The Memphis rapper’s motion to be granted bond comes after taking a plea deal with federal prosecutors, earlier this month.

Shiesty’s proposal offered him to undergo “unspecified monitoring, limited visitation, and drug and alcohol treatment,” and put forth a $1,000,000, 10% cash bond. Additionally, his lawyer argued that he “does not pose a danger to the community,” and would stay within the Southern District of Florida.

Regardless, Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis denied the motion, suggesting that his guilty plea eliminates him from bond consideration.

“Defendant is not entitled to a renewed bond determination now that he entered a guilty plea to Count One of the Superseding Indictment,” noted the court’s order. “Even under the statute invoked by Defendant, the Motion has advanced no evidence, much less clear and convincing evidence, that he is not likely to flee or pose a danger to the community.”

Taking the plea deal has resulted in Shiesty no longer facing a possible life sentence, but prosecutors have still recommended a sentence of 97 months. A date for his sentencing hearing has not been set.

Russ Returns To The Weekly Grind With The Pining ‘Remember’

Russ is only a month removed from the release of his new album, Chomp 2, and he’s already back to releasing new singles weekly. However you feel about the guy’s personality, you absolutely cannot knock his hustle. His first new single of 2022, “Remember,” sees him getting back to the lilting lo-fi R&B that defines the other half of his catalog — after all, Chomp 2 is chock-full of brazen bars and punishing punchlines –, crooning to a former paramour with a few reminders of his commitment to their relationship and mourning its end.

In addition to his weekly single releases over the last year, Russ’ many, many hustles also included a strand of weed — fittingly named Chomp as well — he developed in conjunction with the LA cannabis brand Wonderbrett. By diversifying his portfolio, so to speak, he was able to have a lucrative year even though profits were mostly shaky across the industry as live entertainment returned with plenty of restrictions.

Of course, the key to his financial stability, as he’s so fond of pointing out, is passive income — much of which comes from the fact that he self-publishes most of his music and the major deal he did have licensed ownership of his masters rather than outright selling it. Russ continues to explain his business perspective in interviews, but it all starts with the music — and judging from how he’s kicking off the year, there will be plenty of it coming to help line his pockets.
