Here Are All The Musical Cameos In ‘Muppets Mayhem’ Season 1

When the new Disney+ show, The Muppets Mayhem, hit the streaming service with the first season this month, fans were sure to have some celebrity cameos alongside their favorite puppets. And, as the series centers around Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem‘s band working with a record label to make an album, a lot of the surprise guests are famous in the music world.

Chris Stapleton is the first to appear in the opening episode, as one of the first talking heads to share how the fictional band influenced his music. Others in this segment include Lil Nas X and Tommy Lee — who jokingly flashes his “Mayhem” tattoo as a fake nod to the band.

Later in the show’s sequence, the Muppet music crew attends a party where Steve Aoki is the DJ and Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins performs.

Another DJ, Zedd, and Sofia Carson (Disney’s Descendants) play a larger role in the series. Nora, played by Lilly Singh, wants Zedd to produce the band’s album. Carson arrives in the picture as a singer, when the group ultimately decides to give their song to her — and it becomes a massive hit.

Kesha also stops by to help the Muppets along their journey, while she’s trying to collab with them. Ziggy Marley also tries to help the Electric Mayhem find the right direction for their song, putting his own spin on something Kesha originally performed slower. Other collaborators as potential ideas in this part include Desiigner and Deadmau5.

Other mentions for musicians in the rest of the series are The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs and Paula Abdul.

Last, but absolutely not least, “Weird Al” Yankovic appears in the show as the band is presumably having a drug hallucination. But, of course since it’s Disney+, they just ate some expired marshmallows. What a silly band!

Ice Spice Performs “No Clarity” During Zedd’s Set At Ultra Miami: Video

She’s one of the youngest names in female rap right now, but that’s not stopping Ice Spice from kicking ass and taking names. After attracting one of the biggest audiences at Rolling Loud California with her short and sweet set, the 23-year-old continues to wow audiences with her live performances. Most recently, she joined Russian-German DJ Zedd at Ultra Miami, where he invited her up on stage to perform “No Clarity,” which samples his 2012 hit single, “Clarity.”

As she surprised the festival crowd on Friday (March 24) night, they erupted in loud cheers for Spice. “It get hot so I’m keepin’ my cool / And he like how I get in my mood,” she raps over the infectious beat. “So why would you f*ck with my mental / After all that I told you I been through / But you was my heart so I let you.” The single is one of the Bronx Baddie’s first, landing back in November 2021 after “Bully Freestyle. It’s since racked up over 10M streams on Spotify, and was followed by tracks like “Be a Lady” and “Name of Love.”

Ice Spice Takes Ultra Miami

As Uproxx notes, Spice previously expressed her love for EDM music during an interview with NME. “At a point of time in the early 2010s around middle school, I started hearing it more when it became more popular,” she recalled to the outlet. I was hearing Zedd and Skrillex a lot. Do you remember when Skrillex was super big? That was a whole era. People went from emo to Skrillex like that [snaps fingers].”

Besides killing it on festival stages, Ice Spice has also been making headlines lately after earning kudos from Nicki Minaj. Following an announcement that the Queen of Rap launched her own record label a few weeks back, the quick-witted duo has been seemingly hinting at the possibility of Onika signing Isis Gaston. Other artists already tapped by the “Moment 4 Life” hitmaker include London Hill, Rico Danna, Nana Fofie, and Skeng. Check out the video of Ice Spice performing at Ultra Miami on Twitter above, and make sure to check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Zedd Brought Out Ice Spice At Ultra To Perform Her ‘Clarity’-Sampling ‘No Clarity’

Everybody’s riding the Ice Spice wave. With a fast, scorching flow, and the ability to slaughter any beat, it’s no wonder why Ice’s star is continuing to rise. Last night, during a performance at Ultra Miami, Zedd surprised the audience by bringing out Ice.

During her appearance in Zedd’s set, Ice performed one of her earlier tracks, “No Clarity,” which contains a sample of Zedd’s “Clarity.”

Ice’s take on Zedd’s 2012 breakthrough track features her rapping over a drill beat containing pitched-up vocals from the original. Some notable lines include “It get hot so I’m keepin’ my cool / And he like how I get in my mood / So why would you fuck with my mental / After all that I told you I been through / But you was my heart so I let you.”

When Ice appeared on stage, she was met with cheers from the audience.

Back in January, Ice recalled fondly of growing up on EDM sounds in an interview with NME.

“At a point of time in the early 2010s around middle school, I started hearing it more when it became more popular,” said Ice. “I was hearing Zedd and Skrillex a lot. Do you remember when Skrillex was super big? That was a whole era. People went from emo to Skrillex like that [snaps fingers].”

Lil Nas X & Zedd Under Fire In $1 Million House Party Lawsuit

Rule breaker Lil Nas X has been named in a hefty lawsuit over a house party he threw in Hollywood. Along with the “Old Town Road” singer is DJ Zedd, who allegedly brought his mixing skills to the party. The rager ended up hosting almost 1,000 guests despite clear lease rules against throwing big parties. Daniel Fitzgerald, the landlord who rented out the Hollywood Hills Mansion to Nas-X” class=”text-word” target=”_blank” >Lil Nas X in 2022, is now suing both the rapper and DJ over property damages.

According to KTLA, Fitzgerald claimed to have made his no-party rule clear when the rapper initially signed the lease. Breaking the rules resulted in damages worth over $25,000, not to mention an additional $40,000 in extensive repairs. Needless to say, Fitzgerald is not happy with the choices of his tenant, and now suffers from the aftermath of the rager. Meanwhile, both Lil Nas X and Zedd allegedly were paid $250,000 each for throwing the party. Fitzgerald is also after the sponsors and promoters of the party and is pursuing $1 million in total compensation.

Lil Nas X’s Wild Party Gone Wrong

Lil Nas X is currently touring across North America and Europe for his ‘Long Live Montero’ tour. The set list includes some of his biggest hits including “Panini”, “Sun Goes Down”, and of course, “Old Town Road.” He’s also performing his newest single, “‘Star Walking’ (League of Legends World Anthem),” which is inspired by his League of Legends presidency. While it may seem unlikely that both Zedd and Lil Nas X would find themselves in this predicament, the duo shares a common love for video games. Plus, they both are extraordinarily talented top-charting artists with Grammys under their accolades.

Although neither of the defendants have made any comments on the lawsuit, it’s safe to assume that they are continuing on with life unfazed. Both Lil Nas X and Zedd will be performing in top festivals this year, and the German-Russian DJ has just sold his house for over $18 million. As for Fitzgerald, it’s unclear whether he will receive the entirety of his compensation. Fitzgerald owns several other properties in the area, so let’s just hope he has better tenants next time!
