Calvin Harris Is Returning To Ultra, As Revealed In The Music Festival’s 2024 Phase 1 Lineup

Ultra Music Festival staged head-turning headliners such as Martin Garrix, Marshmello, and Swedish House Mafia for its 2023 edition in March. This morning, October 26, the Miami-based EDM festival unveiled its Phase 1 lineup for the 2024 event, and it features Calvin Harris for the first time since 2013.

“Peggy Gou will make her debut on the festival’s massive Resistance Stage, along with some of the world’s most popular genre stars, including Eric Prydz, Amelie Lens, Zeds Dead, David Guetta, Martin Garrix (who, minus 2018, has headlined every edition of the festival since 2014), Zeds Dead, Sasha & Digweed, Vintage Culture and many more,” Billboard relayed.

Among the “many more” are Tiesto, Afrojack, and Gryffin. For reference, the 2023 Ultra Music Festival featured seven stages.

The 2024 Ultra Music Festival will return to Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida from March 22-24, 2024. Tickets are available now on the festival’s official website, ranging from a Tier 1 general admission three-day ticket for $299.95 and a Tier 2 general admission three-day ticket for $349.95 to a Tier 1 VIP three-day ticket for $1,249.95 and a Tier 2 VIP three-day ticket for $1,499.95.

Billboard additionally noted, “The festival reports bringing in 165,000 attendees from more than 100 countries to its 2023 edition, with 42 million people watching the festival’s livestream. 2024 will mark the 24th edition of Ultra Music Festival Miami.”

Zedd Brought Out Ice Spice At Ultra To Perform Her ‘Clarity’-Sampling ‘No Clarity’

Everybody’s riding the Ice Spice wave. With a fast, scorching flow, and the ability to slaughter any beat, it’s no wonder why Ice’s star is continuing to rise. Last night, during a performance at Ultra Miami, Zedd surprised the audience by bringing out Ice.

During her appearance in Zedd’s set, Ice performed one of her earlier tracks, “No Clarity,” which contains a sample of Zedd’s “Clarity.”

Ice’s take on Zedd’s 2012 breakthrough track features her rapping over a drill beat containing pitched-up vocals from the original. Some notable lines include “It get hot so I’m keepin’ my cool / And he like how I get in my mood / So why would you fuck with my mental / After all that I told you I been through / But you was my heart so I let you.”

When Ice appeared on stage, she was met with cheers from the audience.

Back in January, Ice recalled fondly of growing up on EDM sounds in an interview with NME.

“At a point of time in the early 2010s around middle school, I started hearing it more when it became more popular,” said Ice. “I was hearing Zedd and Skrillex a lot. Do you remember when Skrillex was super big? That was a whole era. People went from emo to Skrillex like that [snaps fingers].”

Here Are The Ultra Music Festival Set Times For 2023

Ultra Music Festival — one of the biggest EDM-centric festivals in the US — returns this weekend with a lineup headlined by some of the genre’s biggest names, including Martin Garrix, Marshmello, and Swedish House Mafia. The Miami-based festival begins this Friday, March 24 at Bayfront Park, and continues through to Sunday, March 26. The set times for all seven stages at the festival were announced earlier this week, and you can check those out below.

Friday, March 24, the festival begins at 4:00 pm and runs until midnight. On Saturday, March 25, the gates will open at 12 noon, with headliner Marshmello taking the main stage at 10:45 pm. Finally, on Sunday, the festival will end at 10:00 pm, with Swedish House Mafia closing things out at 8:45 pm.

This week’s event marks the second Ultra Music Festival since the long-running festival — first established in 1999 — was canceled in 2020 in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, the 2021 event was also pulled due to concerns of a rise in cases of the novel coronavirus. The festival resumed in 2022 with an attendance total of 165,000 and a lineup including Kygo, Martin Garrix, Nina Kraviz, and Gareth Emery. Hardwell closed out the festival.

The Ultra Music Festival website currently touts general admission tickets as “99% sold out” but that still leaves one percent for latecomers. Check out the website for more information and see the set times below.
