When Will Tickets For Wu-Tang Clan’s Las Vegas Residency Go On Sale?

wu-tang clan residency

Wu-Tang Clan is joining the Las Vegas residency bandwagon next year, setting up shop at the Theatre at the Virgin Hotel for two shows in February and another two in March. The Wu hasn’t revealed many details about the residency or even if all eight surviving members (and Cappadonna) will perform all four shows (Method Man actually sat out much of the NY State Of Mind Tour due to schedulig conflicts), but here’s what we do know.

When Is Wu-Tang Clan’s Las Vegas Residency?

The four confirmed shows will be on February 9 and 10 and March 22 and 23, with more shows expected to be announced in the future.

When Will Tickets Go On Sale?

Tickets for Wu-Tang Clan’s Las Vegas residency go on sale on Friday, December 15. Virgin Hotels’ upcoming events site has a slew of events with tickets ranging from $60 to $850.00 for Lainey Wilson’s upcoming homestand. That’d be a a reasonable expectation for the level of Wu-Tang tickets, and there’s sure to be a secondary market as well.

The residency is just the latest in the Wu’s efforts to increase their profile lately, which have included their Hulu show An American Saga and RZA’s symphony concerts celebrating the 30th anniversary of Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Las Vegas residencies are all the rage these days after formerly being thought of as the realm of the washed. Adele just extended hers another several months, Usher just wrapped his up, and the Sphere’s owners are allegedly looking into the pricey proposition of convincing Beyoncé to take her talents to the Strip.

But if those big-voice singers aren’t your wave — let’s say you’re looking for something… grittier — I have some good news: Hip-hop is getting in on the action, beginning with Wu-Tang Clan, who announced a four-show homestand at Virgin Hotel to kick off (heh) Super Bowl weekend, with more dates to come.

Tickets for the residency go on sale on Friday, December 15, while the four shows will include February 9 and 10 and March 22 and 23. Future dates are expected to be announced in the coming months (presumably after receipts from the first four shows are tallied up).

The Clan has been active creatively lately, with RZA producing a symphony concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the group’s seminal debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and the group as a whole touring throughout North America with De La Soul and Nas. The group also participated in the BET Hip Hop Awards’ Hip-Hop 50 tribute.

Wu-Tang Clan Are The Latest Colorado Buffaloes Fans As The Group Pulled Up To Support Coach Prime

On Saturday, several of members of Wu-Tang Clan, including Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, and more, threw their support behind one of the NCAA’s (National Collegiate Athletics Association) most discussed teams, the Colorado Buffaloes. In a video captured shared on social media by the team’s official social media team, the emcees declare their respect for the work that Deion Sanders, more affectionately known as Coach Prime, is doing with the University of Colorado — Boulder’s athletic department. The video was shared just ahead of the highly anticipated matchup versus Nebraska Cornhuskers.

College sports fans joined in on the excitement on X (formerly Twitter), reacting to the clip of the Wu-Tang Clan’s attendance at the Buffaloe’s Folsom Field.

“We’re literally witnessing the culture make a shift. The Prime Effect has ARRIVED,” wrote one person.

Another added, “The effect is effect-ing. Shoutout Raekwon The Chef 👨🏿‍🍳.”

“Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nun To Mess With 🔥,” penned another, referencing the group’s famous slogan.

The Wu-Tang Clan aren’t the only celebrities coming out to witness the Buffaloes play live or watching from the comfort of their homes. A ton of people tuned in to watch the team pull a massive upset over TCU Horn Frogs on September 2, and that’s just what Sanders wants.

RZA Is Turning ‘Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’ Into A Series Of Symphony Shows For Its 30th Anniversary

2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the groundbreaking Wu-Tang Clan debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). With that in mind, the group’s de facto leader RZA has something special planned to celebrate the anniversary: A run of shows at New York’s Gramercy Theatre turning the kung-fu-obsessed rap recording into a straight-up symphony.

Considering the original’s orchestral components, which were drawn from a variety of sources including ’70s soul records and actual classical compositions, it’s a reworking that makes a lot of sense. Other rappers, such as Nas, have done similar things with some of their most pioneering works, and RZA himself even produced a ballet earlier this year called 36 Chambers Of Shaolin And A Ballet Through Mud.

The shows will take place November 7th, 8th, and 9th, with tickets going on sale Friday, September 8th at 10 am. You can get more info here. Meanwhile, the Wu-Tang Clan as a crew kick off the next part of their North American tour alongside De La Soul and Nas next Friday, September 15th at Madison Square Garden. RZA “Honored” By Rihanna And ASAP Rocky’s Baby Name

After months of waiting to find out what Rihanna and ASAP Rocky’s son was called, some fans were surprised by the news. Despite the initial surprise that the baby’s name was RZA, in reference to the Wu-Tang alum, the actual RZA sees it as an honor. According to HipHopDX, the rapper sat down with CNN and explained his feelings about the name. “It’s a great honor to know that there’s another generation that’s not even of my own household that feels the strength and the inspiration of that name,” he expressed. “RZA is only a name, it’s a title. So it’s an honor and I salute her and A$AP and their family. All the blessings in the world from me.”

On May 13th, Rocky and Rihanna’s baby celebrated his first birthday. In an Instagram post dedicated to him, Rocky revealed his name publicly for the first time. “WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN.” HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN. RZA,” he included in the caption of the post. The accompanying photo was an adorable shot of the baby sitting next to both his happy parents.

RZA Loves Rihanna’s Baby Name

Given his status as a hip-hop legend, when RZA talks people tend to listen. Earlier this year he shouted out a new single from Burna Boy. He described the afrobeat star as “special” and operating in “his own unique chamber.” It isn’t the only time the rapper has stood up for afrobeats recently. When Lil Duval called the genre “the death of hip hop” earlier this year the Wu-Tang legend came to its defense. ““Afrobeats is Hip Hop. They basically doing their form of Hip Hop. Just like Trap was Hip Hop, just like G-Funk was Hip Hop.”

RZA also made an appearance on record earlier this year. He lent his voice to a song from Logic’s new album College Park, his first-ever independent release. What do you think of RZA’s response to Rihanna and ASAP Rocky naming their baby after him? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ghostface Killah Is “The Full Definition Of A Deadbeat,” His Son Claims

Ghostface Killah is a legend of the Wu-Tang Clan, but allegedly he has much more serious issues to address with his family that the public doesn’t see. Moreover, his son Infinite Coles took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 24) to call Ghost “the full definition of a deadbeat” and bring forth various claims. Not only has he apparently been unresponsive for over a decade, but Coles allegedly lived in a homeless shelter during COVID times for almost a year without his dad’s support. Also, he shared some alleged text messages between the two- or rather, a lot of unresponded texts and a single acknowledgement when Infinite wished him a happy Father’s Day.

“I haven’t had a full conversation with you or seen you in over 15 years!” Infinite Coles claimed of Ghostface Killah. “You haven’t once tried to reach out to me to see how I’m feeling or how I’m doing. I have messages that literally show me reaching out to you and receiving no response for over a DECADE! The legend that you all love, Ghostface Killah is the full definition of a deadbeat. Dad, you let us live without light, gas or even communication from you for years.

Infinite Coles’ Public Message To Ghostface Killah

“I can’t even say you’re only a deadbeat dad to me because I’m gay, because you’re a deadbeat to all of your kids,” he continued. “What I’ve been seeking is the answer as to why? Is it because your father turned [his] back on you? WHYYYY do you LOVE everyone but your kids? It’s backwards, it’s ugly, it’s hurtful and it’s HUMILIATING.” This isn’t the first time that Infinite spoke on his relationship with Ghostface Killah. Furthermore, he told NME in 2021 that “he is a part of [him].”

Meanwhile, the Staten Island icon continues to make impressive contributions to the game, best exemplified by his verse on Kendrick Lamar’s latest album. However, it’s disheartening to see these allegations come to light, especially surrounding someone who’s gone through a lot of struggle and hardship as well. Hopefully this unfortunate public message results in healing from both sides, and they can find new peace with each other. Rihanna Gets ODB-Inspired Diamond Grill From Gabby Elan

Given that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna named their firstborn RZA, you might guess that they’re big Wu-Tang Clan fans- and you’d be right. However, that’s not the only way in which the couple, specifically RiRi, can now show their love to the New York legends. Recently, the Barbadian singer got a very special gift from illustrious grillmakers and jewelers Gabby Elan. It’s an 18 carat diamond grill emblazoned with “DIRT,” a tribute to the late Wu-Tang pioneer Ol’ Dirty Bastard. In fact, it’s a specific homage to the grill that Gabby Elan designed for ODB back in the 1990s.

Everyone from Pusha T, J Balvin, Tyler, The Creator to even Rocky himself have rocked Gabby Elan grills in the past. Regardless, Rihanna didn’t have to rock grills to rep the Wu with pride, as she’s often been spotted in the group’s merch. Still, a lot of fans went crazy when they realized that the couple named their child after the New York rapper and producer. Recently, they threw little RZA a lavish first birthday party, and will surely continue to spoil him.

Rihanna Reps Ol’ Dirty Bastard With New Grill

However, something that unfamiliar spectators might not have realized is that the decision to name their son RZA isn’t just a sign of fandom. Furthermore, it actually continues a family tradition very close to A$AP Rocky’s heart. For one, the father and son share the same middle name, Athelston, which is already a touching continuation. Not only that, but Rocky’s real name is Rakim, which is an homage to arguably the most important New York hip-hop icon of all time. But that’s a debate for another day. Maybe one-year-old RZA will one day inherit Rihanna’s grill and carve his own path while repping the Staten Island crew.

Meanwhile, the “Born Again” singer recently reached a huge milestone in her career that etches her name even more deeply into the history books of music. She recently passed Eminem as the second artist with the most certified singles. Considering the length and consistent success of her career, such a feat is unsurprising but nonetheless impressive. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news on Rihanna and her family.
