Latto Recalls Bringing Loaded Glock 17 To LAX & Getting Locked Up

Latto is no stranger to getting flamed on social media, and while she certainly navigates the hate from internet trolls like a pro, it has to be exhausting being criticized so publicly and regularly. While she’s recently faced backlash for working with Dr. Luke on “Lottery,” seemingly twisting the truth about her willingness to work with other female artists for free, and wearing the same panties twice, the rap diva is now rightfully being slammed for bringing a loaded weapon to LAX with her. She shared the story on Twitter earlier this weekend, though many were quick to inform her it’s not exactly the flex she seems to think.

“Bitches PUSSC ain’t taking NUN!!!” the 24-year-old posted on Friday (March 17) afternoon. “I got [locked] up in da airport… GODDAMN forgot da gun,” a fan wrote in response, earning Latto’s attention. “True story!!!” she responded before further explaining the situation when another follower asked her to give “more insight” into her previous arrest ahead of a work trip. “Went to LAX [with] a loaded Glock 17 in my [Birkin],” her post began.

Latto’s LAX Nightmare

Apparently, Latto was locked up but let out after just a few hours. “Booked a $75K jet to my show in Alabama and still made it on time,” the Ohio-born rhymer flexed. “No cap in my rap TUH.” In another post, she confirmed that the LAX incident was different from another one in Atlanta when a female cop allegedly kept trying to make her “cough hard.” She told Twitter, “I was profiled for ‘looking like’ [some] bitch that robbed a n*gga… I’m not no robber man 😂. Jail is NOT for me btw 🥴.”

Unsurprisingly, haters almost instantly began ridiculing the 777 hitmaker for bragging about something so immature and potentially dangerous. “Why do you walk around w a Glock in your bag? Is that supposed to be cute?” someone asked Latto. “Why in the world would you need a loaded Glock, you are not hood and you have no opps,” another user pointed out. Lil Meech Facing No Charges After December Airport Arrest

Lil Meech is best known for his work with 50 Cent on BMF. Last December, though, he made headlines for a different reason entirely. Mid-way through the month, the 22-year-old was at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Unfortunately, TSA agents uncovered a 9MM gun in a carry-on bag he put through the security scanner.

According to TMZ, it was actually the actor’s bodyguard who owns both the luggage and the weapon. At the time of the incident, airport employees were informed of the mix-up. They chose to ignore the guard and bust Meech because he had placed the problematic bag on the belt himself.

The Detroit-born star worked with Bradford Cohen on the case. The attorney was able to present indisputable evidence to Broward County prosecutors that the pistol belongs to the bodyguard. He shared the weapon’s purchase receipt, holding case, and permit for the firearm.

Additionally, the celebrity lawyer noted that Meech and his bodyguard have similar tastes in luggage. While they were rushing to catch a flight, the Taurus star accidentally grabbed his staff’s bag, apparently leaving his behind.

The Broward County State Attorney’s Office has since confirmed to TMZ that prosecutors are declining to file a misdemeanour charge against the rapper. This decision comes “because of the facts and evidence available in the case, and the statements made by [Lil Meech] and his employee.”

Upon hearing news of their friend’s arrest last month, famous faces like 50 Cent couldn’t help but tease the young star over his arrest. “What the f*ck! Lil Meech didn’t hear them say cut,” the “Candy Shop” rapper joked in a since-deleted post.

Power star Michael Rainey Jr. chimed in with, “When [tryna] prove ‘BMF’ is more realistic than ‘Power’ goes wrong.”

In other news Meech recently revealed exactly how much cash he dropped on his iconic BMF chain. The tea was spilt during the actor’s appearance on GQ‘s “On The Rocks” series.
