Venus Williams Uses Busta Rhymes’ Chain To Work Out

It’s no secret that the race for the most elaborate and hefty chains is still ongoing among many rappers to this day. Busta Rhymes is no exception and his Cuban link chain recently attracted some unexpected attention. Tennis star Venus Williams seemingly couldn’t get enough of Busta’s drip. Despite being out in public together Williams’ took the opportunity to find a new use for the chain. In a video posted to the rapper’s Instagram, she can be seen jokingly using the chain to do a few workouts.

In the caption for the video, Busta Rhymes had high praise for the tennis champ. “When you surround yourself with Blessed Greatness, your Greatness will forever be Blessed!!! Blessings and love to @venuswilliams,” it reads. Much to the delight of those around them Williams jokes about the chains heftiness and hits some tricep curls with it. The pair hug at the end of the video and Williams gives the NY legend an important message. “I love you, man,” she tells him. Williams isn’t participating in this year’s French Open as she tries to recover from a hamstring injury.

Busta found himself in a curious position when the Ukrainian government tweeted out one of his songs. The official Twitter page for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense posted lyrics from one of Busta’s songs, seemingly to mock Russia. “‘Woo-hah, got you all in check!’ -Busta Rhymes,” the verified account said. Busta never officially gave his thoughts on the situation. Despite his lack of response fans memed the post extensively online.

Last month, Busta Rhymes informed fans that he was working on new music. According to an Instagram video Swizz Beats posted he, Pharrell, and Timbaland, are all involved with the project. The album doesn’t currently have a release date. Busta’s most recent new music came when he joined Coi Leray for a remix of her hit “Players” earlier this year. Beyonce Kicked Off The 2022 Oscars By Performing ‘Be Alive’ From ‘King Richard’ At The Compton Tennis Courts

Even before the trailer for King Richard dropped, the Beyhive was buzzing about a potential new Beyonce song in the Venus and Serena Williams biopic. “Be Alive” ended up being pretty much the only new music we got from Bey last year, but it did not disappoint. Like the title suggests, the powerful track glories in the simple pleasure of being alive, and how satisfying it feels to confound expectations when the world is against you.

The song picked up a 2022 nomination from the Oscars for Best Original Song after initially being shortlisted by the selection committee, and rumors were swirling last week that Bey would actually perform the song during the awards show tonight, but would do so from the Compton tennis courts named after the Williams sisters.

And that’s exactly how the show’s planners chose to open tonight, with a glowing Beyonce clad all in yellow, surrounded by plenty of other dancers — some even rocking the signature hair beads that defined Venus and Serena’s early looks as players. Blue Ivy showed up to perform alongside her mother too, making this moment feel very full circle. Beyonce Has A New Song In Venus And Serena Williams’ Upcoming Biopic ‘King Richard’

It’s been five years since the world received a new album from Beyonce, and while that streak will go on for a bit longer, she will return with music within the next couple of months. The singer will have a new track in the closing credits of King Richard, the upcoming biopic about tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams. According to the Los Angeles Times, who is reporting from Telluride Film Festival, where the movie debuted ahead of its November 19 release, the upcoming song is titled “Be Alive” and it’s co-written by Roc Nation signee DIXON.

The news comes after Beyonce shared an exciting update about her future. “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible,” she said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio.”

She concluded, “After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
