This is a show that typically airs in the afternoon. Furthermore, McCoy has been known to offer up some truly wild hot takes on this show. That said, he could be the perfect fit to replace Shannon. However, his chemistry with Skip may turn out to be a problem. At this juncture, we truly do not know how this would play out or what it would even look like.

However, it doesn’t seem like they are going to get that far. Last night, it was revealed that Sharpe’s contract with FS1 was being bought out, largely by his request. Subsequently, he is set to embark on his own projects, such as Club Shay Shay. Overall, this news came as a bit of a shock, but for those who pay attention, the writing was on the wall.

Sharpe infamously got into a fight with Skip Bayless over Tom Brady. Skip was extremely disrespectful and some felt like Sharpe needed to take action. Moreover, things got infinitely worse when Skip made that tweet about Damar Hamlin. Things continued to spiral, and although Shannon Sharpe stuck around, it was clear that perhaps a change was needed.
