Ye Provides Update on the ‘Vultures 2’ After Not Releasing: ‘We in the Lab’

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign Release Trailer for "Vultures" Video and Announces Three Release Dates

Today (March 8), the second edition of the Vultures album was supposed to be delivered. In traditional Kanye West fashion, the project is late.

The Ye fan account, YeFanatics, hit the rapper to ask about the project. “We in the Lab,” Ye responded.

But what’s the rush anyway? Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have gone back-to-back on top of the Billboard 200. Hitting X, Ty had a swift message: “Not the 2.”

Billboard notes the album will take the top spot behind 75,000 equivalent album units moved in the second week. Vultures 1 is now the first album from West to spend multiple weeks at the top spot since his Watch the Throne album with JAY-Z.

During the tracking week ending on Feb. 22, Vultures 1 accumulated 75,000 units. Of these, 72,000 units were attributed to SEA (streaming equivalent albums), reflecting a decrease of 44% and totaling approximately 95.25 million on-demand official streams for the album’s songs. Meanwhile, album sales contributed 2,000 units, experiencing an 89% decline, and TEA (track equivalent albums) units accounted for 1,000 units, down by 25%.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s Vultures 1 album has taken over the Billboard Hot 100. Last week, all 16 tracks from the album have made the chart.

The highest charting single was “Carnival,” debuting at No. 3. “Fuk Sumn” hit No. 23.

Kanye West And Ty Dolla $ign Will Have To Tour Without The Help Of Live Nation

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s new album VULTURES 1 has performed surprisingly well. Given all of the controversy it sparked and debates over whether or not some of the songs could even legally be allowed on streaming, its performance is significant. It debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 holding off Yeat’s new album 2093. Every single song from the album also landed on the Hot 100 in its first tracking week. Four songs from the album remain on the Hot 100 this week. “BACK TO ME” at #97, “FUK SUMN” at #82, “BURN” at #63, and “CARNIVAL” at #2. “CARNIVAL” is expected to have a resurgence next week and challenge Beyonce’s “TEXAS HOLD EM” for the top spot.

Ye and Ty have had the chance to play the album live at various listening parties in the US and Europe. The pair also have a planned performance at this year’s Rolling Loud in Los Angeles next week. But as far as taking the album on a major tour, that could be difficult. That’s because Live Nation and AEG, two of the biggest tour promoters in the country who are nearly essential go going on tour, are refusing to work with them. It likely has to do with West’s past antisemitic comments and the controversial lyrics throughout the record. According to Hits Daily Double West’s agent is still trying to set up a tour without the promoter, but it’s a tall task.

Before their performance at Rolling Loud next week, Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign are hosting another listening party. That will take place on Sunday, March 10 in Phoenix. Fans are hoping that VULTURES 2 still comes out on time later this week. The original announcement that the album was being split into three volumes included part two dropping this Friday. While the pair have seemingly been working on music, it’s unclear if they’ve got an entire new album ready.

What do you think of the biggest concert promoters in America refusing to work with Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign? Do you think they’ll still be able to pull off a tour without them? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ty Dolla $ign Reveals “VULTURES” Listening Experience In San Francisco, Leaving Fans Asking About “VULTURES 2”

Just hours after Kanye West announced a listening event for VULTURES 1 in Phoenix on March 10, Ty Dolla $ign has more news for fans. The “sidekick” revealed on his Instagram that one more location has been booked two days before their Rolling Loud performance. VULTURES will now be coming to the Bay Area, aka San Francisco, for a “listening experience” at the Chase Center. Of course, that is the new home of the Golden State Warriors. However, this news has fans biting their nails.

The reason for that is because VULTURES 2 has had little to no news around it. Fans in the comments section of Ty’s post are fearing for the worst, as many die-hard supporters of Ye do. “Can’t Wait For Vultures 2 Next Year 🗣,” one person writes. Another chimes in, “so vol 2 got pushed back, great 🥰

It will certainly be interesting to see how this all plays out in the next 48 hours or so. We have gotten very minimal updates on the progress of the album. French Montana is one of the few who have commented on the record. He provided people with a behind the scenes look video of the two creators working on some of the tracks.

What are your thoughts on Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign bringing a VULTURES 1 concert to San Francisco? Will they drop VULTURES 2 this Friday, why or why not? Are you going to attend this show coming up, or going to their Rolling Loud performance? Is the album still in your rotation? Is it the album of the year so far, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign Will Perform “VULTURES 1” In Phoenix: Details

We are just days away from Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign releasing VULTURES 2. If they follow their own schedule, which is a huge “if,” then we should be getting the sequel on Friday March 8. However, there has not been too much to speak of surrounding it outside of Timbaland and French Montana’s updates. So, who really knows if they will live up to their promise and follow through. Especially after they waited until February 10 to give us the inaugural tape. But, we do have some news regarding another “listening event.” Per Ye’s IG Story, VULTURES 1 will be heading to Phoenix, Arizona on March 10.

The album’s creators have performed it for a few different locations already. Just about a week or two ago, the dynamic duo went to Europe, specifically Bologna and Milan, Italy and Paris, France. Of course, VULTURES 1 got its start being played in the U.S. such as Chicago, New York, Miami, and Las Vegas. Now, its Phoenix’s turn as the show might heat up the desert even more.

It will take place at the Footprint Center, which is where the Phoenix Suns call home. According to HipHopDX, the tickets for the one-night show are available on Ticketmaster. You can find the link to purchase them at the bottom of the page. Furthermore, Ye and Ty will not be done performing this installment just yet. Four days later, March 14, they are heading to Rolling Loud.

French Montana Shares Behind The Scenes Footage Of Kanye West Working On “Vultures 2”

Last month, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign finally released their long-awaited new album VULTURES 1. The project was originally just supposed to consist of one album but was expanded for a full three-volume experience. Because West has been known to promise projects and never formally deliver before, fans are skeptical that all three promised projects would be released. But they recently got some promising news that Ty and West are, in fact, still hard at work. That came from a video shared by French Montana earlier this week.

“Back to work @tydollasign @ye Vultures 2 coming soon” the caption over the video reads. That video itself is a relatively short clip that really just shows the three in the studio, though the implication is that they’re cooking up some new material. It also doesn’t confirm whether or not Montana is due to appear on the project or is just around for the recording sessions. VULTURES 2 was originally announced for March 8, but with work on the project still seeming very much in progress it’s unclear if they will make that date. Part three of the trilogy was originally announced for an early April release. Check out the video of the trio working on VULTURES 2 below.

French Montana In The Studio With Kanye West And Ty Dolla $ign

French Montana is fresh off the release of a new album of his own. Mac & Cheese 5 dropped earlier this month but was met with backlash from fans. Much of that was because of the numerous releases he shared to streaming platforms in an attempt to generate higher numbers. That culminated in a massive 126-song “Versions” edition of the project that was widely mocked online.

After initial projections of the new album debuting as high as number 3, it ended up debuting at number 14 after its first week. What do you think of French Montana being in the studio with Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West? Are you hoping that he appears on VULTURES 2 when it comes out? Let us know in the comment section below.
