New surveillance footage of the assassination attempt on Former President Donald Trump shows how close the shooter, Thomas Mattew Crooks, was away from the stage and if his aim was accurate, how close he came to taking Trump’s life.
The footage, which was shot from behind the bleachers that are seen behind the former president, shows Crooks on top of the American Glass Research Building, disappearing and then reappearing before letting off eight shots, one believed to have grazed Trump.
The video was recorded at 6:08 pm, about three minutes before Crooks opened fire with his AR-15 rifle. The question everyone asks is how did he move with such freedom without being accosted?
James Copenhaver filmed the video, and he’s one of the two victims who were struck by gunfire and critically wounded during the July 13 Trump campaign rally in Butler, PA. Crooks hit Trump in the ear with one shot, but fired the rest of his shots into the crowd, killing Corey Comperatore and injuring Copenhaver and David Dutch.
