The team behind the site popular with expecting parents believes that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance has led to the unexpected spike in search’s popularity. According to BabyName.com’s internal data, searches for the pair of the names saw a 25% spike in November and December.

It’s not the first time a pop culture phenomenon has sparked a spike for the site this year. The hype around Barbie over the summer led to a wave of searches or the eponymous doll’s name. As for the meanings of everyone’s favorite music-sports crossover couple – Taylor is derived from tailor and thus means someone who works in that industry. Meanwhile, Travis cromes “crossing or tollgate” in Old English and likely derives from “traverse”.

Meanwhile, Swift recently revealed how she and Kelce got together in the first place. The story came as part of Swift’s interview for the TIME Person of the Year award. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. A jersey worn by Travis Kelce during a 2019 game in Mexico City has been sold at auction for $37K. “This is an all-time record for a Travis Kelce game-used item. He has always been popular but the success of the Chiefs, as well as the publicity he’s gotten around his relationship with Taylor Swift, has added to his popularity and awareness among collectors,” Goldin Auctions owner Ken Goldin told TMZ.

That’s how much Machine Gun Kelly offered Kelce to join the Browns. “I’m sure you get asked this question behind closed doors a lot, but I would be remiss if due to the nature of our friendship and just as a Clevelander if I did not insert this question personally. I will give you $500,000 cash upon arrival just for shopping or whatever you want. Kelce is originally from Ohio, being born in Westlake and playing high school football in nearby Cleveland Heights. Furthermore, Kelce stayed in-state for college, playing four years at Cincinnati before leaving for the NFL. When responding to MGK’s request, Kelce referred to the Browns as “the original dream”. However, given that Kelce is currently in the middle of a $57 million contract with the Chiefs, it’s unlikely that $500,000 is going to cut it.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were spotted holding hands as they exited a restaurant at a Four Seasons Hotel in Buenos Aires. The brief video of the pair has gone viral on social media after being posted by ESPN reporter Tory Barron. Yesterday, after a week of speculation, Kelce was spotted landing in Argentina. The Chiefs tight end undertook the 13-hour flight from Kansas City to Buenos Aires. According to most travel sites, the journey involves flying from Kansas City to Houston and then taking a separate flight from Houston to Argentina. However, Kelce must have left the Patrick Mahomes-hosted gala he attended Thursday night almost immediately to make it to Argentina Friday afternoon.

Earlier in the week, Kelce had refused to confirm whether he would be joining Swift in South America. “I might just say f-ck it and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale so I gotta go somewhere sunny,” Travis said on New Heights when asked by his brother if he had plans for the Chiefs’ bye week. When Travis added that he wanted to be “closer to the equator”, Jason shot back with a “South of the equator?”

However, the obsessive focus on Swift has garnered significant backlash from fans.

Furthermore, Gronk isn’t the only player who thinks the league is going too far. Travis Kelce himself called the league out a couple weeks ago. “I think it’s fun when they show who all is at the game. I think it brings a little bit more to the atmosphere, brings a little bit more to what you’re watching. But at the same time, I think they’re overdoing it a little bit for sure. Especially my situation.” With Swift watching the Chiefs beat the Jets in person, cuts to Swift were frequent. Travis Kelce is perhaps the most spotlighted player in the NFL right now thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift. While Jason also said that he was fine with Travis getting the attention as long as it didn’t jeopardize his safety, it may have already reached that point. Kelce reportedly recently purchased a new home in a gated community, in part due to the level of attention his current home received from paparazzi and fans. While nothing untoward has happened yet, it does feel as if the fever pitch is about to break.

The Elm Restaurant in New Canaan, Connecticut expected an unpleasant afternoon rush yesterday as the establishment was besieged by Taylor Swift fans. A popular fan account had announced on social media that the singer was eating at the restaurant along with boyfriend Travis Kelce and close friend Blake Lively. Hundreds of Swifties flocked to the restaurant, which was closed between its lunch and dinner services. Eventually, the fire department and several police officers arrived to break up the crowd.

However, it appears that the fan account’s information was inaccurate. There was no evidence that the trio were dining there. Furthermore, it was later confirmed that Kelce was in Missouri at a Chiefs practice session, meaning there was no way that he was on a lunch date 1100 miles on the Eastern Seaboard. It’s unclear if this was a deliberate hoax or just an overeager fan putting out some bad reporting.

In other Traylor news, Kelce is reportedly planning to spend his 2024 offseason on tour with Swift. According to Entertainment Tonight, Kelce will join Swift on the international leg of her Eras Tour next year. “Travis and Taylor are all in… [They] are very serious about their careers, and the two bond over that and want to show support for each other whenever they can,” a source told the outlet. Furthermore, the source claims Kelce will travel with Swift to Brazil for her concerts from November 17-19. However, that feels unlikely given that Kelce has a marquee matchup against the Eagles on November 20.

However, it’s definitely fair to assume that his plans include a majority of next year’s tour dates. Swift kicks things off in Japan in February. Depending on how the Chiefs do this year, Kelce will be unlikely to attend as the Tokyo concerts coincide with the days in the run-up to the Super Bowl. However, the rest of the dates between late February and the start of Chiefs training camp in August should be wide open for Kelce to attend. That run of shows sees Swift tour both Asia and Europe.
