TLC Forced To Postpone Canadian Tour Dates As T-Boz Catches Flu

Legendary Atlanta R&B group TLC has been in the midst of another tour, but they have had to postpone some shows. According to HipHopDX, the now duo of T-Boz and Chilli announced the heartbreaking news on their official Instagram page on Monday (May 13). In the post, they explained that four shows in Canada were being rescheduled because of several members of the crew became quite sick. One of them was T-Boz, who has had her fair share of nagging issues over the years. According to Billboard, two years ago T-Boz had an allergic reaction to cigarette and recreational smoking going on backstage. Because of that incident, they were forced to reschedule two stops for their Celebration of CrazySexyCool Tour.

Furthermore, in 2017 Billboard also reported that a European tour was postponed due to T-Boz suffering a cervical disc issue. It is sad to see T-Boz continue to come down with so many different issues. Our best wishes go out to her and the rest of the TLC crew. As for this Canadian set, shows on May 14, 16, 17, and 18 are being moved to a later date. The locations include Moncton, New Brunswick, Windsor, Ontario, Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Peterborough, Ontario.

In the group’s statement, they expressed how awful they felt and how appreciative they were of their fans. “We deeply regret to inform you that we must cancel the upcoming date. Unfortunately, a few members of our tour, including T-boz, have fallen ill with the flu. As a result, she has lost her voice. Doctors have advised her not to perform this week,” they said. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to the opportunity to perform for you in the near future. We love you and will see you soon.”

Nas Unveils “Illmatic” 30th Anniversary European & UK Tour Dates

Nas’ iconic debut studio album Illmatic turns 30 years old today, and to celebrate, he’s announced a series of tour dates in the UK and Europe. The hitmaker shared the exciting news in an Instagram post alongside a colorful tour poster inspired by the 1994 LP. “I’m bringing my Illmatic 30-year anniversary tour to UK and EU starting October,” he captioned the post. Tickets are set to go on sale on April 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. local time.

The New York-born performer will kick things off with a show in Helsinki, Finland towards the end of October. He’ll then move on to cities like Stockholm, Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, and more. He’s currently scheduled to close out the tour on November 15 with a performance in London.

Nas To Bring Illmatic Overseas In October

Of course, Nas’ European and UK-based fans can’t wait to catch him live and are sounding off online. His fans located elsewhere, on the other hand, are feeling a bit left out. Luckily, he does have a few performances scheduled in the U.S. before embarking on the tour. He’s scheduled to take on Vegas’ Lovers & Friends festival next month before gracing the stage at The Roots Picnic in June. Nas is also slated to perform in Albany, NY, and Morrison, CO before heading to Europe.

While Nas’ upcoming tour of Europe and the UK is certainly exciting, it’s far from the only thing leaving his listeners impressed as of late. Early this morning, he teamed up with DJ Premier to drop a brand new track called “Define My Name,” following almost a week of teasing. What do you think of Nas announcing a UK/European tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut studio album, Illmatic? Will you be catching the hitmaker live? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Nas Celebrates 30 Years Of ‘Illmatic’ With A DJ Premier Collaboration And Some Major News

Today (April 19) is of course all about Taylor Swift, as the music landscape has focused pretty much exclusively on her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. Today has actually been pretty good for hip-hop, too, though: Drake officially released his Kendrick Lamar diss track, and Nas has a lot going on.

April 19 marks the 30th anniversary of Nas’ iconic Illmatic album, and Nas is celebrating in a few different ways. First, he and DJ Premiere — who produced “NY State Of Mind,” “Represent,” and “Memory Lane (Sittin’ In Da Park)” from Illmatic shared a new song, “Define My Name.” The song, it turns out, is a preview of a collaborative album the pair is planning to release later this year.

Beyond that, Nas also announced the Illmatic 30 Year Anniversary Tour, which is set to hit Europe and the UK in October and November.

Missy Elliott Breaks New Ground With Upcoming “Out Of This World” Tour

Missy Elliott is making history. The eccentric emcee will be embarking on her first ever headlining tour in 2024, after decades of influence and chart dominance. She initially broke the news of the “Out Of This World” tour on her Instagram, along with a heartfelt statement. “Fans have been asking me to tour forever,” she explained. “So I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big.” Missy wasn’t kidding. This upcoming tour will be an absolutely star-studded event.

The “Out Of This World” tour will feature Busta Rhymes, Ciara and Timbaland. All three artists are iconic in their own right, and have been collaborating with Missy for years. The “Supa Dupa Fly” rapper has always been loyal to those around her, and she really made a point of stressing the familial angle during the tour’s planning stages. “I had to do it with family,” she added. “So get ready to be taken OUT OF THIS WORLD with me, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland! We can’t wait to share this experience with the fans.” Furthermore, the IG announcement came with a teaser video directed by Dave Meyers.

Fans who’ve seen Missy Elliott’s music videos over the years know that Meyers is responsible for the visuals for singles like “Get Ur Freak On” and “One Minute Man.” The teaser is classic Missy, with her and Busta Rhymes donning bizarre, futuristic clothing as they discuss the possibility that they’re on a different planet. The tickets for the “Out Of This World” will be available starting with a Verizon presale on April 9. Additional pre-sale options will made available throughout the week, and the general sale will begin Friday, April 12 on Missy-Elliott.com.

Missy could not have picked a better time to embark on her first headline tour. Firstly, she became the first female rapper to be nominated and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2023, and secondly, she’s working on new music for the first time in two decades. Timbaland will produce the upcoming album, however he told Variety that it will feature Missy dabbling in experimental Latin sounds. “People gonna eat it up,” he teased. “[It’ll connect with] a different demographic of people. Some of it has a kind of Latin feel to it, almost a Bad Bunny effect.”
