DDG Calls Joe Budden An “Old B*tch” After Shady Halle Bailey Breakup Response

Earlier this week, DDG took to social media to announce that he and Halle Bailey have gone their separate ways. In a heartfelt statement, he explained that while their romantic relationship didn’t work out, they’re still “best friends.” The announcement came just months after they welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Halo.

“We believe it’s the best path forward for both of us,” he said. “I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared.” Bailey has yet to comment on the split, but the same can’t be said for social media users. Fans have been flooding Twitter/X with their reactions to the news since it was first shared Thursday (October 3).

DDG Slams Joe Budden On X

Many supporters had big reactions, both positive and negative, to the breakup. Joe Budden, on the other hand, took a different approach to his response. While sharing his take on the split during an episode of his podcast, he decided to focus most of his attention on DDG himself. He claimed that he wasn’t familiar with DDG outside of his relationship with Bailey. “Who the f*ck is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything?” he asked.

DDG wasted no time before responding and didn’t hold back in the slightest. “Pump it up went gold after 20 years u old b*tch @JoeBudden i’m on u,” he Tweeted today. “N***a got 30 years MAX of life left & speakin on a relationship of people the same age as yo son you’n take care of. I hope u forget to take your magnesium pills today u old b*tch @JoeBudden.” What do you think of DDG firing back at Joe Budden after he weighed in on his split from Halle Bailey? The Joe Budden Podcast Empathizes With Cardi B’s Alleged Infidelity To Offset While Pregnant

Cardi B and Offset have had a very rocky relationship, and it seems like things have never been as contentious between them as they are now. Moreover, they both accused each other of cheating, with the former Migo claiming that the Bronx femcee cheated while she was pregnant. Of course, this resulted in a lot of media reactions not just from fans, but from other publications and outlets in the hip-hop world. One of these was The Joe Budden Podcast. On their latest episode, the team debated the veracity of their claims against each other and the morality of the situation given previous scandals.

“[The] allegation that she let somebody hit while pregnant,” Joe Budden began. “And I do want to hear from Mel on some of this stuff, I do.” “Honestly, I don’t believe it,” Melyssa Ford posited. “I don’t believe it. Do I believe that there’s a possibility that there might have been some text exchanges that might be a little too colorful, and he’s made a huge assumption based on the texts? It’s quite possible, yes. But do I believe that she actually had sex with another man while she was pregnant? No, I don’t believe that for a single, solitary second. And also, I do believe that there is the potential that she allowed him to see those f***ing texts to let him think something as payback for all the bulls**t.”

The Joe Budden Podcast Speaks On Cardi B & Offset

“If she did [f**k while pregnant, would she be wrong?” Joe Budden asked her. Melyssa Ford said no. “How much public humiliation has she gone through during the entire course of their – not only relationship – their marriage?” she asked. “How much? Like, I know you guys don’t like this s**t. I know you guys think that you can get away – uh-uh! I know you guys think that you can get away with your behavior of cheating and cheating. And also, it’s like, ‘Oh, baby, please, let me come back,’ et cetera. And a woman is just supposed to allow that to happen.

“But the second that she steps out, and she’s just like, ‘Well, you’ve cheated on me with 50 b***hes, and I have a moment where I slipped,’ now it’s hell to f***ing pay,” Melyssa Ford argued. “‘Oh my God, you wh*re, you b***h, you this, you that.’ You guys cannot handle what the f**k you dish out. So if she, in fact, did do it… Oh f***ing well. Oh f***ing well. It’s all because of the groundwork you laid, motherf***er.” The Joe Budden Podcast mostly agreed with Melyssa Ford, positing that Offset also put himself through a lot of this humiliation by airing their issues out.

Wallo Recalls Telling Young Thug His Crew Was A Liability Before Arrest

During a recent appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, Wallo recalled some valuable advice he once gave Young Thug before he was sent to prison. According to him, the rapper had shown him a $1M wire from Rolling Loud for one performance when they met for an interview in 2021. Young Thug also showed up with huge crew, prompting Wallo to impart some of his wisdom.

“I’m looking at him like ‘Yo, you know what that mean? You know who you are? You’re responsible for everybody in the f*cking room. You’ve got to be on point and you’ve got to be mindful of who you’ve got around you,’” Wallo explained. “All the artists will tell you I said this, Durk, Young Thug, everybody. I’ll be like, ‘Why you got all these n****s with you?’”

Wallo Claims Young Thug Showed Him $1M Wire For One Performance

He went on, also emphasizing the fact that his advice was genuine, and comes from experience. Wallo recalled considering the cost of all of the plane tickets, hotels, gear, meals, and more for everyone there. Regardless, he said none of them were bringing anything to the table, or willing to help out where it was needed. On top of this, he pointed out that they were a liability. Clearly, that was the last thing Young Thug needed to worry about at that point in his career.

Wallo also claimed that if he were Young Thug’s manager, the only people around would be a cameraman, his DJ, security, and an assistant to make sure everything ran smoothly. What do you think of Wallo claiming that Young Thug showed him a $1M wire to perform at Rolling Loud before going to prison? Are you surprised or not? What about him claiming that he advised Young Thug to keep his crew small? Do you think this was good advice? Kendrick Lamar Warned Drake Before Dropping Diss Tracks, Joe Budden Claims

It goes without saying that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical battle was one of the most explosive hip-hop fans have seen in a while. Apparently, however, Kendrick could have given Drake a warning before things popped off. During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden shared this theory,. According to him, he heard K.Dot gave Drizzy a call before any of their diss tracks were released.

“I also heard that Drake and Kendrick had a talk before any diss record was released,” he explained. “I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I heard they spoke.” As for how the conversation itself actually went, Budden says Kendrick told Drake to keep it light. Clearly, that’s not at all how the situation played out.

Joe Budden On Drake & Kendrick Lamar’s Beef

“It went like the Teddy Pendergrass part of the sh*t,” he said. “‘Hey, how do you want this to go?’” Ultimately, Kendrick Lamar dropped what many believe to be the song of the summer. On “Not Like Us,” he accuses Drake and his OVO crew of being “certified pedophiles” and much more. Now that Kendrick has been announced as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl, there have been some questions as to whether or not he’ll be performing it in its entirety.

Obviously, it’s what most fans probably want to hear Kendrick perform live at this point, considering how big it’s been in recent months. Some people like Charlamagne Tha God, however, suspect that Drake has already threatened to take legal action if this is allowed. For now, it remains to be seen how the performance goes. What do you think of Joe Budden claiming he heard that Kendrick Lamar and Drake talked before their battle? Are you surprised by this rumor or not? Do you believe it? Joe Budden Hints At Knowing “The Hottest Tea” About JAY-Z Choosing Kendrick Lamar Over Lil Wayne

Joe Budden spoke at length during the latest episode of his podcast about the theory that JAY-Z intended to disrespect Drake by helping select Kendrick Lamar to perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. In doing so, Budden hinted at knowing “the hottest tea” about something that happened backstage with Lil Wayne.

Budden began by admitting that, if he were JAY-Z, he wouldn’t like Drake’s decision to put out a house album, which he did with Honestly, Nevermind, during the same year that Beyonce did with Renaissance. “You gotta understand, we’re dealing with the ‘power’ part of ‘money, power, respect.’ That’s the part that we have to focus on. People with power are going to exert it, now, when this much is at play,” Budden began. From there, he brought up having some “tea.” “I’m hearing that there was an event where something happened backstage,” he added, before saying it was “too hot” to go into further detail. “But something happened backstage at one of them shows.”

From there, Budden complained about the overall reaction to the NFL selecting Lamar. “I’m upset that we announced a Black hip-hop halftime performer and we just muddy the water with who we think should’ve been, or who y’all think should’ve been the Black performer,” he added, before targeting young hip-hop fans. “Y’all wasn’t even alive for the hundred years of Kid Rock, and Guns & Roses, and Bruce Springsteen.”

Joe Budden Rips Yung Miami To Shreds For Laughing At “Pump It Up” Plaque

Earlier this week, Joe Budden received a gold plaque from the RIAA for his 2003 single, “Pump It Up.” While the feat is certainly one to celebrate, despite arriving 21 years after the track’s release, Yung Miami didn’t think so. She took to X to issue a shady response to the news, making it clear that she was not impressed.

Yung Miami reacted with a simple series of laughing emojis. Instead of engaging right away, Budden decided to bow out altogether. “It would be too easy,” he wrote. “Maybe tmw lol.” She then called him a bully, slamming him for laughing at other people’s accomplishments and suggesting she was giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Joe Budden Claims Yung Miami Would Be “Dead Last” On List Of Best Female Rappers

Now, however, he’s responded directly to the shade during an episode of his podcast. In a clip from the episode, he clarified that he doesn’t plan to disrespect Yung Miami or call her out her name, instead choosing to keep things professional. He went on to rip her career to shreds, claiming that on a list of the best female rappers, she would be “dead last.” Budden added that he didn’t expect Yung Miami to go after him like this, particularly considering issues with her label she admitted to on Caresha Please.

In the explosive season 2 premiere of her podcast, she revealed that her label told her they haven’t been seeing enough growth from her as an artist, which explains why she hasn’t put more music out. What do you think of Yung Miami clowning Joe Budden because his 2003 single just went gold? What about him dissing her in response? Who do you think is in the right? Joe Budden Drags Playboi Carti In Response To “Complex” List

Earlier this month, Complex unveiled its list of the best rappers from Atlanta, which has since sparked a major debate. As expected, many readers disagreed with who made the list and where they were placed. Playboi Carti’s ranking in particular prompted a great deal of backlash, as he came in at No. 12, ahead of artists like Jermaine Dupri, Killer Mike, Gunna, and more.

B. Dot weighed in on his placement on Way Up With Angela Yee shortly after the list was published. He didn’t hold back in the slightest, slamming the rapper and arguing that he was placed far too high. “I can’t get jiggy with that,” he said at the time. “Have you ever heard Playboi Carti’s music? He raps in like Batman sound effects. He sucks. He’s terrible.”

Joe Budden Admits That He Thinks Playboi Carti Is “Horrible”

Of course, this sparked even more debate among social media users. While many think Playboi Carti can’t hold a candle to those placed below him, others insist that his influence is undeniable, and can understand why he came in at No. 12. During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden decided to join the conversation, revealing that he agrees with B. Dot.

“B.Dot, I’m with you, Playboi Carti is horrible to me,” he admitted. His co-hosts agreed with him, even claiming that Playboi Carti shouldn’t have made the list at all. “Playboi Carti is on this list because it’s a Complex list, that’s it,” Budden added, suggesting that the outlet’s readership simply overlaps with the rapper’s fanbase. What do you think of Joe Budden’s reaction to Playboi Carti’s No. 12 spot on Complex‘s list of the best rappers from Atlanta? What about him calling the rapper “horrible”? Do you agree with him, or did he go too far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Joe Budden Debunks Reports About “Freedom” Of Drake’s Licensing Deal

Joe Budden has sought out to clarify what he believes to be one of the “biggest myths” in the music industry. He says artists like Drake, who have reportedly retained more freedom by entering into a partnership with a record label, are being misled. Budden began by citing a specific report that claimed Drake inked a licensing deal with UMG that gives him fully control over the creative direction of his music and when he releases it.

“I wanna let the audience and anybody listening know that that is one of the biggest myths that the music industry is pushing upon naive and ignorant people today, that a licensing deal means freedom,” Budden began. “Listen to Joe Budden even if you don’t trust me. It does not. A licensing deal does not mean you have freedom to do whatever the f*ck you want. Actually, it means the exact opposite. It means, ‘You keep it.’ That’s the label telling you that they don’t wanna be liable for none of your sh*t no way. You keep it. That’s not where the value is. We’re just gonna share in this license. And for us to agree to do that, here’s what you have to agree to do and most of the artists cave. That’s the negotiating table.”

“I just think a lot of artists and creators are being fooled with the new word tricks,” Budden concluded. Fans on social media have been having mixed responses to his take. One wrote: “Whenever it come to Joe and his opinion on drake I take with huge grain of salt.” Another countered: “He’s 100 percent correct about licensing. You ain’t gotta believe it, but facts are facts. Those in the business know.”

Joe Budden Checks Michael Rubin For Controversial Take On Black Culture

During his recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Michael Rubin made some controversial remarks that didn’t sit right with a lot of viewers. He said that he doesn’t like how Black people are quick to “hate” on one another, which he later apologized for. “Look, I’m just being blunt. It’s me, It’s the one thing I’ve learned about Black culture that I don’t like is that Black hate on hate,” he said. Amid backlash, Rubin took to social media to explain that his intention wasn’t to offend anyone, but simply to encourage people to uplift each other. Ultimately, however, he recognized that it was not his place to speak on Black culture.

In a new episode of Joe Budden’s podcast, he weighed in on the debacle. “Did he speak about Palestine?” he asked. “It seems like there’s a lot happening over there… It seems like there’s plenty to say there, he didn’t say a word?” Clearly, Budden thinks Rubin should have stayed in his lane and didn’t appreciate his criticism of another culture. This wasn’t the only part of the interview he wasn’t a fan of, however.

Budden went on to discuss Rubin’s comments about Meek Mill, who’s been at the center of sexuality rumors for a while. Rubin explained that despite theories, Meek has “not one gay bone in his body,” and provided some context for the viral video of the rapper doing bunny hops after losing a game of tennis. According to him, it was Meek’s idea. Budden says he wishes Rubin hadn’t addressed this at all, calling it one of his “favorite rumors.”

Steve Stoute Claims Nas Proves Older Generations Didn’t Care About Lyrics

It goes without saying that different generations are going to have different approaches to music, but according to Steve Stoute, some things never change. In a new episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, he weighed in on claims that hip-hop fans no longer value lyrics like they used to. He argued that lyrics weren’t necessarily a top priority back in the day either, using Nas’ 1996 album Illmatic as an example.

“You know what’s funny, it’s so easy for an older generation to talk like that,” he began. “They wasn’t giving a f*ck about lyrics when Nas put out Illmatic. That’s why it took five years to go gold… Young MC didn’t take that long to go gold, they were buying that sh*t.”

Steve Stoute Says “People Have Bad Memory”

Reasonable Doubt took a long time to go off, look at Reasonable Doubt‘s first week,” Stoute continued. “My only point is that you may like lyrics and all that other kind of stuff, and it may be something that you love, but does it make you buy it? […] You can’t look at generations and go, ‘This new generation, they don’t give a f*ck about lyrics.’ You weren’t rewarding n****s who was making lyrics back then… And people have bad memory around that stuff.

He went on to claim that streaming has devalued music, as fans are far less likely to spend money on what they could stream for free, even if they love it. What do you think of Steve Stoute claiming that lyrics weren’t valued in hip-hop back in the 90s, as evidenced by how long it took for Nas’ Illmatic to go gold? Do you agree with him or not? Do you believe that younger generations care about lyrics less than older generations, or are they being hypocritical?
