Here Is Victoria Monét’s ‘The Jaguar Tour’ Setlist

Victoria Monét’s Jaguar II was described by Uproxx‘s Wongo Okon as “a dazzling triumph,” and that opinion was widely shared — so much so that fans were distraught because Monét wasn’t among the featured performers during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12. That prompted a response from Monét herself.

“I see your advocation for me to have performed tonight and I’m so grateful to you!! Sincerely!” she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) in response to her fans’ (justified) outrage. “My team was told it is ‘too early in my story’ for that opportunity so we will keep working!”

She continued, “I’m grateful for YOU, for my tour starting this Friday and for the ability to see some of my favorite people perform tonight and receive the love they so deserve!!! [Brown heart emoji, prayer-hands emoji] For me, it’s part of the story…and in Gods time.”

As mentioned, Monét’s The Jaguar Tour is underway and quenching anyone’s thirst to see her perform. Her next scheduled date is at Joy Theater New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday, September 21.

Victoria Monét is also set to embark on her inaugural solo headlining tour, The JAGUAR Tour, supporting her highly anticipated album JAGUAR II.

Due to the pandemic, Monét could not tour her critically acclaimed album JAGUAR, making this tour the first opportunity for fans to experience songs from both JAGUAR and JAGUAR II. The tour will also mark her first solo show in London, United Kingdom, in November. Artist pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, with general ticket sales opening on Friday, July 14.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of Monét’s recent release of “On My Mama,” the third single from JAGUAR II. The empowering anthem has already garnered over 6 million streams within its first three weeks. Before “On My Mama,” Monét dropped the dancehall-influenced hit “Party Girls” featuring Buju Banton and a captivating music video choreographed by Sean Bankhead. Earlier this year, Monét sold out her first-ever headlining show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles and participated in a fireside chat at CultureCon LA. Victoria Monét Is Finally Hitting The Road For ‘The Jaguar Tour’ Later This Year

Last month, Victoria Monét treated her fans to some exciting news: the official announcement of her long-awaited Jaguar II project. Excitement for the new project was heavily rooted in the success of its predecessor Jaguar which arrived in 2020. That body of work was released with nine songs and features from SG Lewis and Khalid and featured what was regarded as Monét’s best work to date. Now, Jaguar II will look to take that title, but that’s not all Monét has in store for fans this year.

Today, Monét announced The Jaguar Tour which kicks off later this summer, just a couple of weeks after the release of Jaguar II on August 25. The Jaguar Tour begins on September 6 in Detroit and runs for nearly two months before concluding on October 22 in Chicago.
