Young Thug Says He Won $5,000 From Another Rapper Betting That Tekashi 69 Would Snitch

During Young Thug’s recent second appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, the Atlanta trap mad scientist covered a lot of topics, from clearing the air regarding his Jay-Z Verzuz comments to recalling a bet he made with a peer over whether the notorious Tekashi 69 would testify against his former comrades in the Nine Trey Bloods set.

It turns out, it was a pretty safe, “friendly” bet (in Young Thug’s words), as Tekashi did eventually end up testifying for a reduced sentence — a move that benefitted him personally, but left him essentially persona non grata among rap peers who believe he violated street code. Although Thug himself doesn’t subscribe to this belief, he said he simply believes in loyalty and was brought up not to spill his friends’ secrets.

Detailing the bet itself, Thug refused to share who it was with (see above), but still shared enough to back up the story. “I can’t say his name, but I bet another rapper,” he recalled. “I don’t know where he from. I think the West Coast…. bet another rapper that 6ix9ine [would] tell before he told. I’m like, ‘He gon’ tell.’ Me and him bet a friendly $5,000…. I bet $5,000 that he’d tell and he bet $5,000 that nothing is gonna happen to him. I bet $5,000 that something was gonna happen to him, too. I don’t know why I had that belief. I really believed he gon’ think he gangsta, he gon’ try to step out, and somebody gon’ do somethin’. Even if it’s on some humble sh*t.”

Of course, to date, nothing serious has happened to Tekashi, although he’s kept up his trollish antics. Part of that may be due to the pandemic that shut down most public life over the past year and part of it may be due to the security guards he seemingly has around him at all times, but either way, it looks like Thug only gets to collect on half that bet for the time being. Considering he recently claimed to have lost nearly a million dollars in one night in Vegas, maybe he should consider leaving the gambling to the professionals.

Lil Nas X Exposes Tekashi 69 For Sliding In His DMs After Making A Tasteless Gay Joke About Him

“This you?” are two of social media’s most dangerous words. Often deployed when their recipient makes a statement contradicting earlier foul behavior, they can be especially devastating when their subject is a known troll who likes to post outrageous provocations for engagement. Today, Lil Nas X won the gold medal in their use (or he would have if such a thing existed) when he flipped the script on rainbow-haired agitator Tekashi 69 via Twitter.

After 69’s running buddy Akademiks posted a New York headline about China’s new supposed COVID-19 protocols, Tekashi chose to use the moment to disparage Lil Nas with a tasteless, homophobic joke. Tekashi responded to the headline — which reads “China Makes COVID-19 Anal Swabs Mandatory For Foreigners” in a fairly typical attention grab — by commenting “Lil Nas X has entered the chat.”

However, Nas, who plays the social media trolling game as well as Tekashi does — arguably better, considering the outcomes of their respective last two years — had the perfect response. Posting a video of himself dancing to his song “Call Me By Your Name” — titled after the Timothy Chalamet coming-of-age romance about a boy falling in love with his male tutor — Nas superimposed a screenshot of Tekashi’s comment over the video, followed by another screenshot of 69 sliding into his DMs on Instagram.

“Yo,” reads the direct message. “Gonna be in your city soon what you doing lol?” The question is followed by a heart emoji and an upside-down smiley face. We’ll let you draw your own conclusions, but it’s clear that Lil Nas is implying that perhaps this is a case of the pot calling the kettle a certain color. Tekashi 69 Is Being Sued For $75K Over An Unpaid Security Bill

A large part of Tekashi’s appeal when he first appeared in 2018 was his rabble-rousing habit of inciting beef with seemingly every street-centric rapper in rap at the time. However, a large part of the reason he was able to get away with it was the small squadron of large, probably armed men surrounding him in most public situations to ensure no one confronted him about his antics. Now, according to TMZ, it’s been revealed that Tekashi still owed the company employing those security guards a lot of money.

Metropolitan Patrol, a company employed by Tekashi 69 when he visited Los Angeles, says that despite providing round-the-clock service for the loudmouth social media personality turned rap superstar including armored cars, they still haven’t been paid over $75,000. After sending Tekashi the invoice for the service — including three armed officers working day and night shifts, a Yukon with ballistic panels, and a pair of Ford Explorers decked-out with lights and sirens — he simply refused to pay.

According to 69’s lawyer, the responsibility falls on MTA Bookings agency, which was handling the rainbow-haired rapper’s public appearances at the time. However, even the perception that he doesn’t pay his security could be unhealthy for Tekashi, who has gotten right back up to his old tricks after leaving prison last year. He recently got into it with Meek Mill, sparking a war of words that includes a sample of the altercation in Tekashi’s latest single.

Tekashi 69 Sued By A Miami Stripper For Aggravated Battery Following A Club Fight

Tekashi 69 has been involved in a decent amount of controversy over the past couple of weeks, but the latest report finds the rapper in some legal trouble. According to TMZ, he was recently sued for aggravated battery by a Miami stripper following a club fight on February 20.

The victim, Alexis Salaberrios, and her lawyer David M. Tarlow told the publication that an altercation at the city’s Gold Rush Cabaret began after someone called the rapper out for snitching. During the ensuing fight, he tried to throw a champagne bottle at the individual, but he unfortunately missed and struck the stripper in the head.

Salaberrios reveals that the incident forced her to go to the ER where she received several staples to close a cut on her head. In the suit, she claims he threw the “deadly object with intent to commit serious bodily injury.” In addition to the rapper, Salaberrios is also suing the club for their lack of security around Tekashi despite knowing he has a “propensity for violence.” She claims that club employees removed him from the club after she was hit with the bottle and tried to convince her to not call the police. Tarlow says she refused their request and reported the incident to officers.

The rapper’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, said his client was not involved in the club fight. “There are video cameras in the establishment. It’s an attempt to shake him down,” he said. “If he is served properly, we will immediately move to have it dismissed.”

Tekashi 69 Took A Shot At Cardi B By Referencing Her Past As A Stripper

Tekashi 69 has come after a number of artists and celebrities throughout his career. It was just last week that he was involved in an altercation with Meek Mill at a Miami parking lot. Now, Tekashi has shifted his attention to a new target: Cardi B. In a post to his Instagram Story, the rapper asked his followers, “If I took women to hotels and drugged them and then robbed them would I be canceled?” The question was a reference to a March 2019 Instagram Live session that Cardi held in which she said she drugged and robbed clients back when she was a stripper.

Cardi joins a long list of people Takashi has attacked, in one form or another. Last year, a video of him allegedly taunting boxer Gervonta Davis made its way to social media, though at least it didn’t escalated into an actual fight. He also mocked King Von’s death just days after the rapper passed away from a gunshot wound in Atlanta. Tekashi left a laughing emoji under an Instagram post that detailed how Lil Durk, a close friend of Von, learned about his death, an action that left hip-hop fans extremely furious at him.

Tekashi 69 Inserted Audio Of His Viral Fight With Meek Mill Into His New Track ‘ZaZa’

Last week, Meek Mill was leaving a club event and heading back to his car when he ran into Tekashi 69 and his crew. Upon seeing Meek, Tekashi began hurling insults and attempted to push past his security in order to start a fight with the rapper. The whole skirmish was caught on video and the footage went instantly viral, with Meek theorizing that the whole thing was just a publicity stunt. But Tekashi took things one step further with his new track “ZaZa.”

Tekashi debuted the track “ZaZa” Friday, which features a hard-hitting beat and the rapper’s boastful verses. But halfway through his song, Tekashi references his tiff with Meek. Instead of name-dropping the rapper through lyrics, Tekashi inserted a 10-second clip of the actual fight while the track’s video zooms in on Meek’s surprised face.

“ZaZa” arrives shortly after Meek revealed that he’s working on his own version of a diss track. The rapper shared a snippet of the upcoming song in a teaser posted to his social media. “You a b*tch, he a rat / You on the ‘Gram, like, who is that?” he raps in the preview.
