Seahawks’ DK Metcalf Hit With Fine Over Jalen Ramsey Incident

DK Metcalf has quickly become one of the most interesting wide receivers in the league. When he came into the league, many were concerned about his speed and route-running. After all, he has a very large frame for a wide receiver, and some felt like that would not translate to the NFL.

Subsequently, all of those detractors were proven wrong. Metcalf immediately made a huge impact on the Seahawks, and he is still one of their best players. Additionally, he is responsible for some pretty amazing highlights. Overall, fans of the team are very happy to have him.

DK Metcalf Fined Again

Just a couple of weeks ago, Metcalf found himself in a compromising situation as he was fined upwards of $30K. This was the result of his complaints in regard to the officiating. He was mad about a missed pass interference call, and the league office immediately hit him where it hurts.

Subsequently, Metcalf has been fined again. This time, however, it is for an on-the-field incident with Jalen Ramsey. While playing against the Los Angeles Rams last week, Metcalf head-butted Ramsey after some intense play. Consequently, the league office reviewed the footage and gave Metcalf a cool $10K fine.

For Metcalf, this punishment isn’t so bad considering he has already made a lot of money in the NFL. He signed a huge contract this offseason which gave him a $30 million signing bonus. Additionally, he is making over $8 million this season. Overall, he can definitely afford these latest punishments.

Robert Griffin III Apologizes After Using Racial Slur On Live TV

Robert Griffin III is perhaps one of the biggest “what-ifs” in the history of the NFL. He famously had an amazing rookie season with the Washington Commanders, however, he ultimately ran into injury issues. Eventually, RGIII bounced around the NFL, but never got an opportunity to be a fully-fledged starter again.

Subsequently, Griffin became an on-air personality over at ESPN, where he gets to co-host the pre-game show for Monday Night Football. Griffin is working alongside the likes of Steve Young and Booger McFarland, and so far, he has been regarded as a rising star in the commentary world.

Robert Griffin III Makes A Mistake

Unfortunately, Griffin made a huge mistake last night. While speaking about Jalen Hurts, Griffin used a slur that has a very negative historical context associated with it. In the clip down below, you can hear what the slur in question was.

Consequently, Griffin began to go viral for all of the wrong reasons. The former quarterback was made aware of his error, and he immediately took to Twitter to apologize. Overall, it was an embarrassing moment for him.

“Yooooo, Definitely need to clarify this,” Griffin began. “THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT TO SAY. Was trying to say “those Bug-A-Boos” in reference to haters and doubters. Regardless of my intention, I understand the historical context of the term that came out of my mouth and I apologize.”

At this moment, it doesn’t seem as though there will be any punishment for Griffin’s error. He has apologized for it, and in a few days, most will forget that he ever said it. Regardless, this was pretty bad, and RGIII knows it.

LeBron James has had a legendary career in the NBA, and he is well on his way to breaking some truly impeccable records. One of these records has not been broken in 40 years. Of course, we are talking about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record.

LeBron James Reveals His True Feelings

For the most part, LeBron has been talking about what an honor this record would be. While this may be the case, it seems like LeBron isn’t as moved by the record as he has let on. This revelation came recently as some fans were chirping James courtside. At one point, James was asked if he would cry when he breaks the record. Consequently, it led to an interesting exchange.

“I’ll cry if we win a championship. Not for a scoring record. I didn’t even try to break it,” LeBron James said. This is a pretty unique statement to make in front of a camera. Surely, LeBron knew the phone was recording, although he did not seem to care. Instead, he gave his pure unfiltered thoughts, and it was quite refreshing.

LeBron James has been in the NBA for 20 seasons now. Even now, he still has a lot to give the game. For instance, Dennis Schroeder recently made the claim that LeBron wants to play until the age of 45. This would be an incredible feat, however, who knows if Schroeder’s comments are accurate?

Having said that, LeBron is looking to play with his sons Bronny and Bryce. They are exceptional high school basketball players at Sierra Canyon, and they are continuing Bron’s legacy. As it turns out, they will be playing against Kiyan Anthony tonight. Of course, Kiyan is the son of Carmelo Anthony, who plays for Christ The King High School in New York.

Michael Jordan Once Forced Stephen Jackson To Take Off His Jordans

Michael Jordan has always been known for being extremely competitive in everything he does. When it comes to basketball, this is especially true. Overall, MJ is probably the most competitive player in NBA history as he would even create fake scenarios just for extra motivation.

As an NBA owner, Jordan hasn’t seen the same kind of success he saw as a player. Despite this, he still maintains that competitive spirit. Consequently, this has led to some intense moments with his players. In fact, Stephen Jackson had an interesting run-in with Jordan when he was on the Charlotte Bobcats. As you will see, it was the most MJ thing you’ll ever hear.

Michael Jordan Calls Out His Team

Jackson was a guest on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, where he recalled the hilarious story. The situation was quite simple. After a horrible game, Jordan came into the locker room and cussed out the team, before telling Jackson and Gerald Wallace to take off their Jordans. In MJ’s eyes, they weren’t worthy of his footwear.

“After the game, he’s just going off on us, like we need to get our s–t together, right? I made some little comment and said, ‘he ain’t saying that. He can’t even practice the next day,” Jackson explained. “[Then MJ rebutted,] ‘back on that s–t. You think y’all did something. […] Take my shoes off. That s–t was kind of directed to me and Gerald Wallace ‘coz we the leaders of the team. He was going off on us to the point that he gets on the second team in practice… and we lose!”

Jackson went on to note that Jordan was dominant during the practice, and he even ended things off with a dunk. Overall, this is quintessential Michael Jordan. Unfortunately, this mentality has yet to result in much success for his Hornets, who used to be the aforementioned Bobcats.

Rich Paul Addresses The Most Common Klutch Sports Criticism

Rich Paul is one of the most powerful men in the entire sports world. Of course, he mainly operates within the basketball world through Klutch Sports. He is LeBron James’ agent, and he is also in charge of numerous careers at this point. Needless to say, he has built an incredible empire.

However, there are people out there who believe that Paul’s success is to the detriment of the NBA. For instance, one common opinion held by NBA fans is that every single Klutch Sports athlete is being manipulated to want to play with LeBron. Simply put, Klutch Sports is supposedly a front to further LeBron’s legacy.

Rich Paul Clears The Air

Subsequently, Paul is being asked about this chatter. During an interview with GQ, Paul spoke about his new book called Lucky Me. During this conversation, Paul got to speak about the fans who think every Klutch signing is for LeBron. Paul offered a diplomatic answer that will surely clear the air.

“Well, you have the casual fan that just thinks one-dimensionally,” Paul said. “And in some ways it’s a little disrespectful to who I am, and what I do every day, because people always try to tie it to: because you represent LeBron, and he’s on the Lakers, that everybody you represent, you want to put on the Lakers.

“That can’t be further from the truth. I think it’s important for people to understand that, at the end of the day, I run a business. And my business isn’t predicated on anything outside of making each and every client individually positioned for success.”

Rudy Gobert Decimated For “Prosecute Fauci” Stance

Rudy Gobert is a player who isn’t exactly well-liked by the NBA fanbase. Many believe he is overhyped and that his defense alone doesn’t make him worth $200 million. Additionally, the pieces the T-Wolves gave up to get him were outrageous, and he has yet to live up to the deal.

On top of all of this, he is the man behind the 2020 NBA lockdown. While the lockdown was inevitable, it was Gobert’s recklessness that ultimately shut down the NBA prematurely. Subsequently, a lockdown took place nationwide, while every other league stopped working as well.

Rudy Gobert Sides With Elon Musk

Despite this history with COVID, Gobert seems to be of the idea that Dr. Anthony Fauci is some sort of criminal. In the image below, you can see that Gobert liked a recent Elon Musk tweet in which the billionaire wrote “my pronouns are prosecute/fauci.”

Disregarding the fact that Musk’s tweet is a hacky joke, it’s clear that Gobert lacks self-awareness. As many pointed out, it is rich for Gobert to be siding with these types of COVID jokes. After all, he is the reason why the NBA was shutdown, to begin with. Furthermore, his most high-profile teammate had seven family members die due to the disease.

Gobert is someone who has frequently been roasted by NBA fans. Whether it be him crying over not making it to the All-Star game or the constant Shaq roasts, it’s clear that he isn’t exceptionally well-liked. Based on all of the tweets above, it is clear that this did him absolutely no favors.

Let us know what you think of Gobert, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the basketball world.
