Haney looked overmatched as the fight drew on and surprisingly dropped the first loss of his professional career to Garcia. Haney retained his title because Garcia had not made weight before the matchup. Haney was optimistic after suffering defeat. Overall, the match was entertaining. There will most certainly be a rematch between the two young fighters.

Now, after the fight, Floyd Mayweather and Haney’s father, bull Haney, are beefing online. Bill Haney has apparently been lashing out after the Garcia loss. The reaction to his son’s loss has now led to a heated exchange with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. The two went back and forth online, arguing about several different issues between them. Haney most noticeably called out Mayweather as a selfish individual. Mayweather has been involved with Devin Haney for some time, helping train the young fighter on multiple occasions. The Beef seems to have started after Mayweather called and congratulated Ryan Garcia after his big win against Devin Haney. Bill Haney did not appreciate that, implying that it showed disloyalty to his son. Floyd called Bil Haney to see where all the negative feelings came from. Haney responded to Mayweather, saying, “I been knowing you for hella long but I feel like you a bullshit ass n—a. That’s how I feel like it, me, myself, personally…I feel like you a bullshit ass n—a based on your actions about everybody’s that’s been in the town that’s been down with you. They doing dirtball bad. Ain’t nobody doing real good fuckin’ with you.”

The argument went on for a while after Haney’s response. “You was talking about that sparring shit,” Haney said. “I seen you beat n—as up in sparring…and when my son got down on you…”. To which Floyd responded “Bill, if your son is undefeated in the gym, congratulations!” he then dropped the mic saying, Congratulations that you got an undefeated fighter in the gym. I’m the under the lights type fighter.” The beef adds another interesting wrinkle in the Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia fight. The rematch will definitely add even more interest as a new feud develops between Mayweather and Bill Haney.

Griner revealed details about her journey in her memoir titled “Coming Home.” Additionally, Griner has now sat down for an interview detailing the 11 months she spent in prison. Griner spoke to Robin Roberts about the incident, which was an emotional discussion.

In February 2022, Griner was detained by Russian authorities for allegedly possessing cannabis vaporizer cartridges in her luggage. As a result, Griner was on trial for two weeks and was found guilty of possession and rug smuggling. Finally, The WNBA star was sentenced to nine years in prison. Griner was sent to a Russian labor camp to serve out her sentence. The U.S. government negotiated her release for months. Fortunately, Griner persevered through a terrible situation and is now comfortable enough to talk through her experience fully.

She recalled her lowest moment, saying, “There was a huge knife sitting on the table, and I was just like, ‘No, this is going to be a ride.’ You gotta do what you gotta do to survive.” Thankfully, Griner survived and made it home.

Zach Wilson was traded to the Broncos for a late-round pick swap. Last season, the Jets traded for Aaron Rogers in an attempt to upgrade their quarterback position and go for the playoffs. Bronny James declared for the NBA draft early this month, opting to leave USC after this freshman season. Bronny had a less-than-stellar freshman season and is opting to bet on himself to make it to the NBA. It is more likely that Bronny won’t be selected in the 2024 NBA Draft. The latest ESPN Mock draft has Bronny embarrassingly going undrafted. While it’s just a mock draft, it represents many scouts’ opinions of Bronny. He didn’t put up spectacular numbers as a freshman, and while there’s obvious talent, there isn’t enough evidence to draft him.

Many believe he should go back to school, but that might not be a bad idea. Going back to school, he could show that his freshman season was a fluke and that he is the real deal. Additionally, there’s a possibility that even if he goes undrafted, he will try to grind it out and make an NBA roster via the G-League. Bronny is LeBron’s son, so he will most likely get a thorough look this summer as the combine approaches and draft workouts take place. Still, it’s pretty demoralizing not even being considered worth using a second-round pick on.

Bronny James averaged 4.8 points per game on 36.6% shooting from the field, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 25 games. He displayed energy and athleticism on defense but was not very effective when he was on the course. Some believe Bronny still has the potential to be an impactful player at the next level. In high school, Bronny was a knockdown shooter with great defensive instincts. You will always have a place in the league if you can defend and hit threes in the NBA. He will get the opportunity to go up against his fellow draft hopefuls, and it may push him up some draft boards enough for a team to pick him in the second round.

Bronny had a turbulent freshman season at USC. He suffered from cardiac arrest during the Triojans summer workouts, putting his playing career in doubt. He recovered strong and was able to make his debut for USC four months after his heart surgery. Bronny didn’t get a complete off-season to get acclimated to college. He made his debut and had to learn on the fly on a team that wasn’t very good. Bronny will for sure get a shot at the NBA. He may end up going back to college for another year, but the NBA will always be the endgame for Bronny.
