Floyd Mayweather And Devin Haney’s Father Are Beefing Online

Devin Haney lost by majority decision to Ryan Garcia on Saturday night. Haney was knocked down by Garcia three times in the latter rounds. Haney looked overmatched as the fight drew on and surprisingly dropped the first loss of his professional career to Garcia. Haney retained his title because Garcia had not made weight before the matchup. Haney was optimistic after suffering defeat. Overall, the match was entertaining. There will most certainly be a rematch between the two young fighters.

Now, after the fight, Floyd Mayweather and Haney’s father, bull Haney, are beefing online. Bill Haney has apparently been lashing out after the Garcia loss. The reaction to his son’s loss has now led to a heated exchange with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. The two went back and forth online, arguing about several different issues between them. Haney most noticeably called out Mayweather as a selfish individual. Mayweather has been involved with Devin Haney for some time, helping train the young fighter on multiple occasions. The beef has probably been stewing for some time.

Floyd Mayweather And Bil Haney Exchange Heated Words

The Beef seems to have started after Mayweather called and congratulated Ryan Garcia after his big win against Devin Haney. Bill Haney did not appreciate that, implying that it showed disloyalty to his son. Floyd called Bil Haney to see where all the negative feelings came from. Haney responded to Mayweather, saying, “I been knowing you for hella long but I feel like you a bullshit ass n—a. That’s how I feel like it, me, myself, personally…I feel like you a bullshit ass n—a based on your actions about everybody’s that’s been in the town that’s been down with you. They doing dirtball bad. Ain’t nobody doing real good fuckin’ with you.”

The argument went on for a while after Haney’s response. “You was talking about that sparring shit,” Haney said. “I seen you beat n—as up in sparring…and when my son got down on you…”. To which Floyd responded “Bill, if your son is undefeated in the gym, congratulations!” he then dropped the mic saying,  Congratulations that you got an undefeated fighter in the gym. I’m the under the lights type fighter.” The beef adds another interesting wrinkle in the Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia fight. The rematch will definitely add even more interest as a new feud develops between Mayweather and Bill Haney.

Ryan Garcia Admits Erratic Behaviour Before Devin Haney Fight Was Just Trolling

Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney finally faced off in their much-anticipated fight. The fight promo was overshadowed by Garcia’s unpredictable behavior and controversial statements. Ryan Garcia admits that his antics were all part of his master plan. The erratic behavior and constant controversy were in the works for months. Garcia said that he told his team months ago that he is going to make everyone believe he had lost his mind. He succeeded in the trolling and won the fight. Everything went as planned for Garcia, who can now get back to some semblance of normal behavior after his big win. He said he was committed to his plan and “wouldn’t budge for nobody.” He said it didn’t matter what show or podcast he was on because he was going to put on a show.

Ryan Garcia won the first battle against Devin Haney. Hopefully, there will be a rematch in the near future. Haney will want to bounce back from the embarrassing defeat. As the bets cashed in, Garcia reportedly bet on himself to win, netting $10 million. Ryana Garcia is now back on track after losing to Gervonta “Tank” Davis. Reggie Bush Is Officially Getting His 2005 Heisman Trophy Back After 14 years

Reggie Bush is reportedly getting his 2005 Heisman trophy back. The Heisman Trust has announced an official reinstatement for Bush today. The decision comes from a significant change in college athletics, specifically football. The penalties levied against Bush look, in retrospect, even more frivolous than they did in 2005. NIL has allowed athletes to receive money and gifts using their likeness. The new landscape of college football is a significant factor. Additionally, the amount of money being thrown around is the prime reason for the reversal on Reggie Bush’s Heisman.

After enduring severe NCAA punishments, including allegations of illicit payments during his Trojans career, Bush voluntarily relinquished his Heisman Trophy in 2010. Now, in a long-overdue move, Bush is set to receive his original Heisman trophy, with USC receiving a replica. This decision, beginning with the 2024 season, also grants Bush invitations to all Heisman festivities. It’s a decision that underscores the injustice Bush has faced, with his collegiate achievements often overshadowed by the controversy.

Reggie Bush Officially Reinstated By The Heisman Trust

“Personally, I’m thrilled to reunite with my fellow Heisman winners and be a part of the storied legacy of the Heisman Trophy, and I’m honored to return to the Heisman family,” Bush said in a statement. “I also look forward to working together with the Heisman Trust to advance the values and mission of the organization.” In 2020, the NCAA-mandated break between Bush and USC officially ended, and a year later, Bush made it known he wanted his Heisman back. His team reached out to the Heisman Trust to no avail. No progress was made as the Trust had refused Bush’s request outright.

In August 2023, Bush made it known he was going to sue the NCAA for slander. The lawsuit would attempt to get his records restored and get him his Heisman back. Now it looks like the threat of legal action has spurred some change in attitude from the NCAA. Bush will now receive his trophy back. We don’t know what this means for his ongoing lawsuit against the NCAA, but it might be resolved in the near future.

Victor Wembanyama Is Up For Two NBA Awards After Sensational Rookie Season

Victor Wembanyama had an incredible rookie season. The French Phenom had massive expectations after he was selected no. 1 overall by the San Antonio Spurs. Despite those expectations, Wemby showed that he really is the next big thing in the NBA. His combination of size and skill has never been seen before. Imagine if Kevin Durant was 6 inches taller and also protected the rim like Rudy Gobert. That is what Wembanyama has shown in his rookie season. The Spurs were terrible once again, but they might have the brightest future in the league solely because of Big Vic.

Now it’s awards season in the NBA. As the playoffs continue to roll on, the NBA is preparing to give out its major awards to players and coaches. The finalists for the awards are now set, and Victor Wembanyama will be up for two of them. Wemby is a finalist for Rookie of the Year along with OKC’s Chet Holmgren and Charlottes Brandon Miller. Additionally, Big Vic is a Defensive Player of the Year finalist alongside his countryman Rudy Gobert for Minnesota and Miami’s bam Adebayo.

Victor Wembanyama is almost guaranteed to win Rookie of the Year. Chet Holmgren had an impressive rookie season, helping the Oklahoma City Thunder reach the No. 1 seed in the West. Brandon Miller had good stretches for a bad Charlotte Hornets team. Wemby eclipsed every rookie. The ROTY race shouldn’t be close. Wemby definitely deserves a DPOY shout. He would probably win the award if the Spurs had a better record. His defensive stats were better than Gobert and Adebayo. The fact that he is up for Defensive Player of the Year after his rookie season should tell you everything you need to know about Wemby.

With a 22-60 record, the San Antonio Spurs are likely to secure an early pick in the 2024 NBA draft. It’s crucial for the team to build around Wembanyama, who has already established himself as one of the league’s top players. The Spurs can’t afford to squander his talent while he’s on his rookie contract. Anticipate the Team to make strategic moves this summer, aiming to bolster their roster for a playoff push in the upcoming season.

Kelsey Plum And Darren Waller Split After One Year Of Marriage

Kelsey Plum and Darren Waller have called it quits. The two athletes filed a joint petition for divorce tuesday in Nevada after one year of marriage. The Las Vegas Aces Point Guard and the NFL tight-end got married in March 2023. The two celebrated Plums WNBA championship together in October. Things obviously took a turn and the decision is an emotional one for the two of them.

Months of conjecture over Kelsey Plum and Darren Waller’s marital status have come to an end. The divorce petition has put a stop to and confirmed the speculation that has been swirling around. Talk of the couple being in a bad place started to ramp up when Waller uploaded a video on TikTok in January, where he lip-synced lyrics to a clip of The Delfonics’ “Think It Over.” Fans immediately thought something was up because of the lyrics of the song and Waller’s own mental health history. “When ya girl bout to leave you,” was the video’s caption. Waller said it was a joke, but there was clearly something going on.

Caitlin Clark Is Preparing To Sign Massive Nike Deal Valued At $28 Million

Caitlin Clark is set to sign a massive deal with Nike. Clark is one of the most electric scorers in NCAA history and is the No. 1 overall WNBA draft pick. There was a lot of chatter about Clark’s WNBA salary when the Indiana Fever drafted her. The worries about her being underpaid will now hopefully stop. The reported deal Clark is about to sign with Nike is valued at over $28 million. The deal will give Clark the richest endorsement contract in women’s sports history. We knew the deal would be big, and Clark was getting a signature show from Nike, but seeing the numbers is something.

Clark became a household name in the past two women’s collegiate seasons, carrying Iowa to two final fours. The Iowa Hawkeyes lost to Dawn Staley’s South Carolina. Now, Clark is preparing to make her professional debut for the Indiana Fever. It seems like women’s basketball is revolving around Clark at the moment. The WNBA is hoping her popularity will elevate the league. If the WNBA does its part and Clark is half as good as she was in college, then they will be in good shape.

Caitlin Clark’s deal is being reported as nearing completion. Those close to the negotiations have valued the deal at over $28 million. There has been no official word from Clark’s camp or Nike about the deal. Under Armor and Adidas were also in the running to sign Clark to an endorsement deal. As their highest-profile athlete, NBA great Steph Curry was a part of Under Armor’s pitch. Reportedly, Clark got offers of $16 million from Under Armour over four years and $6 million from Adidas over four years, both of which included a trademark shoe.

Clark earned a lot of money through her NIL deal while at Iowa. She made over $3 million as she played for the Hawkeyes. Clark’s team has been at work negotiating a deal since before her final season at Iowa ended. Clark has been the main factor in the women’s basketball surge. The Women’s NCAA tournament championship game beat out the men in the ratings for the first time, and Clark is a big reason for this. The WNBA is going to experience its highest-rated season, probably ever, starting this May.

Zach Wilson Traded By The Jets To The Denver Broncos Days Before NFL Draft

The Jets have decided to cut ties with Zach Wilson. Wilson was the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft. The Jets selected him because they believed he would become their franchise quarterback. Now, he is being shipped to the Denver Broncos days before the 2024 NFL Draft. The deal includes late-round draft picks and swaps for the teams. The move might allow a fresh start for Wilson, who will be looking to turn his career around in Denver.

Wilson shot up draft boards during his senior season at BYU. The hype around him made him the number two overall pick in his draft class. Wilson went into a situation that needed him to be great, and for whatever reason, he never really caught on in the league. He has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns in his career, putting up some of the worst statistics of any quarterback in the league. Wilson was probably hoping to get out of New York and from under Aaron Rogers.

The Zach Wilson Era In New York Is Over

Zach Wilson was traded to the Broncos for a late-round pick swap. Last season, the Jets traded for Aaron Rogers in an attempt to upgrade their quarterback position and go for the playoffs. Unfortunately, rogers tore his Achilles tendon in the first game of the season. Wilson was thrown back onto the field, and the results were less than ideal. Wilson played better than ever, but better than ever for Wilson is still pretty subpar. It is a shame because the Jet’s defense continued to be one of the best units in the league. Both parties are probably happy to move on from one another.

Aaron Rogers is set to make his return to the football field for the Jets. Last season, after being injured, Aaron Rogers kept teasing fans with an early return that never materialized. Since then, Rogers has been talking about new conspiracy theories every other week. He teased a campaign for United States Vice President, which the Jets and NFL weren’t fond of. Aaron Rogers is talented, and it’s telling that the Jets would rather deal with his off-the-field peculiarities than Wilson.

David Beckham Sues Mark Wahlberg Over $10 Million Failed Fitness Company

David Beckham has launched a lawsuit against Mark Wahlberg due to a failed business arrangement involving their joint venture in a fitness company. The legendary soccer star has alleged that he was misled into getting involved with Wahlberg and his investment group. After Beckham moved to Los Angeles, he and Wahlberg became fast friends, and Beckham agreed to be the global ambassador of F45 Training. Beckham is suing for $10 Million in losses.

David Beckham alleged that he suffered $10 million in losses due to the stocks he was owed as part of his arrangement, which was given out when the company’s stock dropped dramatically. Along with Wahlberg, Beckham is also suing F45 founders Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch. Wahlberg and his camp have refuted the claims and called the lawsuit “fraudulent conduct. A judge ruled against Wahlberg’s claims, so there would be a legal battle.

The brand announced the collaboration between Beckham and Mark Wahlberg’s F45 in a since-deleted Instagram post in 2021. The post’s caption marked the beginning of the partnership. The post read, “Welcome to the F45 fam @davidbeckham. This is just the beginning of our journey together; we hope you’re all ready for what’s to come #F45 #F45Training,” Beckham was expected to be a major player in the company’s attempt to expand. Beckham was brought on to expand the company’s profile internationally. Beckham’s celebrity profile goes beyond sports.

Former NFL superstar Terrell Owens is another high-profile athlete who sued F45 in the past. Owens sued the company over the alleged not being paid over $700,000. Beckham is a businessman through and through. He’s the guy who finished getting the GOAT of Soccer, Lionel Messi, to come and play in the United States. Beckham’s Inter Miami is one of the hottest sports tickets because of his business savvy in bringing Messi in. Mark Wahlberg and Beckham will sort this out in court, but it doesn’t look good for the super-successful actor.

Bronny James’ Draft Outlook Gets Sobering Update From ESPN

Bronny James declared for the NBA draft early this month, opting to leave USC after this freshman season. Bronny had a less-than-stellar freshman season and is opting to bet on himself to make it to the NBA. It is more likely that Bronny won’t be selected in the 2024 NBA Draft. The latest ESPN Mock draft has Bronny embarrassingly going undrafted. While it’s just a mock draft, it represents many scouts’ opinions of Bronny. He didn’t put up spectacular numbers as a freshman, and while there’s obvious talent, there isn’t enough evidence to draft him.

Many believe he should go back to school, but that might not be a bad idea. Going back to school, he could show that his freshman season was a fluke and that he is the real deal. Additionally, there’s a possibility that even if he goes undrafted, he will try to grind it out and make an NBA roster via the G-League. Bronny is LeBron’s son, so he will most likely get a thorough look this summer as the combine approaches and draft workouts take place. Still, it’s pretty demoralizing not even being considered worth using a second-round pick on.

Bronny James averaged 4.8 points per game on 36.6% shooting from the field, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 25 games. He displayed energy and athleticism on defense but was not very effective when he was on the course. Some believe Bronny still has the potential to be an impactful player at the next level. In high school, Bronny was a knockdown shooter with great defensive instincts. You will always have a place in the league if you can defend and hit threes in the NBA. He will get the opportunity to go up against his fellow draft hopefuls, and it may push him up some draft boards enough for a team to pick him in the second round.

Bronny had a turbulent freshman season at USC. He suffered from cardiac arrest during the Triojans summer workouts, putting his playing career in doubt. He recovered strong and was able to make his debut for USC four months after his heart surgery. Bronny didn’t get a complete off-season to get acclimated to college. He made his debut and had to learn on the fly on a team that wasn’t very good. Bronny will for sure get a shot at the NBA. He may end up going back to college for another year, but the NBA will always be the endgame for Bronny.
