Unsurprisingly, fans in The Shade Room‘s comments section have mixed reactions to the photos.

While many are convinced the two artists are together, others are sure there’s nothing romantic going on between them. “Just because pictures are taken together doesn’t necessarily mean they are a couple,” one commenter claims. “They could just be friends,” another insists. For now, it looks like fans will just have to wait and see whether things are really heating up between Mackey and Choppa, or if they’re simply spending more time together due to their upcoming film.

DJ Akademiks Weighs In On Theories That Drake Couldn’t Pull Off A Stadium Tour

It goes without saying that Kendrick Lamar has had a big year, and it looks like 2025 will be no different. Last week, the Compton rapper announced his co-headlining “Grand National” tour with SZA. They’ll kick things off with a performance in Minneapolis next April and go on to perform at 18 other stadiums around North America. They’re even stopping in Drake’s hometown of Toronto for not one, but two shows.

Unsurprisingly, the announcement has prompted some comparisons to Drake and has even led some to claim that he couldn’t pull off a stadium tour if he wanted to. During a recent livestream, DJ Akademiks shared his take on this theory, arguing that it couldn’t be further from the truth. According to him, Drizzy simply makes more money by performing at arenas over stadiums. For this reason, he says Drake prefers to stick to arenas, but that this doesn’t mean he’s unable to take on a stadium tour.

DJ Akademiks Claims Drake Earns More Performing At Arenas

“Kendrick’s doing two dates in Toronto, do I think this makes Drake look bad? No,” he began. “I don’t think it makes Drake look bad at all […] Somebody that’s heavy in touring hit me up and told me this. They said it’s more work that Drake does four or five nights at the garden instead of one or two nights at Yankee Stadium, but he gets paid more. Drake is one of them guys, so he care about the money he don’t care about the look, I would think.”

Akademiks isn’t the only person who’s come to Drake’s defense amid this debate, however. During an episode of Joe Budden’s podcast last week, he also stuck up for the performer when his co-host claimed that he couldn’t do a stadium tour. “I’m not gonna say that Drake is not a stadium act, let’s deal with facts, he hasn’t done one yet,” Budden said at the time. That’s it.”

Doechii Has Interesting Response To Question About Joining Kendrick Lamar & SZA On Tour

It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar has had a massive year. The Compton rapper went head-to-head with Drake, hosted his LA “Pop Out” show alongside several of his peers, and more. Late last month, he even dropped his new album GNX with zero notice, which has since been a huge success. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart with several songs from the album also climbing the ranks.

He went on to announce his upcoming “Grand National” co-headlining tour with SZA earlier this week. The duo is set to kick things off in April 2025 with a performance in Minneapolis before performing at 18 other stadiums across North America. They even recently announced a second date at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, unsurprisingly resulting in some serious clowning for Drake. It looks like they may not be the only artists that lucky fans get to see on the tour, however, based on a new clip of Doechii.

Doechii Can’t Help But Smile When Asked About Kendrick Lamar & SZA Tour

During her recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, DJ Envy asked her about potentially joining Kendrick and SZA on the tour. She didn’t exactly give a straight answer, but her immediate grin suggested it may not be completely off the table. “I have not met Kendrick, I don’t know what Kendrick has up his sleeve,” she explained. “I don’t know what’s to come, but I know that I am prepared to receive any opportunity that comes my way… But truly, I have no idea.”

It appears as though it might be a minute before fans get any concrete answers. Regardless, this clip has gotten their hopes up. Doechii and Kendrick may not have met yet, according to her, but in October of this year, he broke his usual social media silence to praise her. He shared the cover of her Alligator Bites Never Heal mixtape, dubbing her “the hardest out.”

Recently, Ray J took to social media with a cryptic message, leaving his supporters concerned. In a clip, he threatened to go live on Instagram and expose everyone who has wronged him in the past. He appeared fed up, though it remains unclear exactly why. “These n****s wanna play with me?” he said. “Yo, you f*cked with the wrong person. I’m going live in 30 minutes and I’m naming all the names that f*cked me over out here.” 

He continued, claiming that he’s currently working out of the country and that those around him will “pay the f*cking price.” The cryptic video has since been deleted, but fans are worried regardless. While some speculate that he could be struggling with his mental health, others think he could allegedly be using substances. Many are also calling on his sister Brandy to get to the bottom of this. At the time of writing, she’s yet to respond.

Offset Appears To Threaten To Expose Cardi B In Cryptic Post & Delete

It’s no secret that Offset and Cardi B have been at odds for a while now. Earlier this year, the former pair filed for divorce, shortly before welcoming their third child together. At the time, they didn’t provide fans with many details of the split, but they’ve since dropped hints here and there. During an X rant late last month, for example, Cardi accused her ex of being a “narcissistic piece of s**t.”

It still remains unclear exactly why they broke up, but recently, Offset appeared to throw some shade of his own. In a now-deleted Instagram Story, he appeared to suggest that he allegedly has dirt on Cardi, that he could expose at any minute. At the time of writing, fans aren’t sure whether or not he actually plans to do so. Either way, it seems like he’s fed up, and itching to tell his side of the story. “I could get on here and make you look the fool you is I’m bout to hit [bomb emojis] the bomb blow all this sh*t up.” For now, Cardi has yet to address the cryptic message.

Offset Shares Mysterious Message On IG

Cardi B isn’t the only person Offset has had issues with lately, however. Sources later shut down these rumors, insisting their posts were unrelated to each other.
