Kreayshawn Raps About The Woes Of Parenthood On “The Mom Song”

Back in 2011, Kreayshawn quickly rose to fame with the release of “Gucci Gucci,” on which she raps about smoking millions of swisher blunts, hanging out in a room full of bad bitches, and avoiding what the “basic bitches” wear – namely Gucci, Louis, Fendi, and Prada.

The track was undeniably a hit, and could be heard blasting out of cars everywhere a decade ago. In the years since, the 32-year-old has continued to make music, and has even ventured into comedy rap.

On “The Mom Song,” Kreayshawn and Christina P. rap about the trials and tribulations of parenthood, namely no longer being able to do ketamine with your friends, and having to give up aimlessly scrolling through TikTok.

“I got hella kids and they all up in my business/I can’t do shit man, these kids they really reckless/Kids always watchin’ Paw Patrol on my TV/ I just wanna watch Gossip Girl can you leave me alone,” the San Francisco native raps over the beat.

Earlier this week, the duo released a music video for “The Mom Song” that’s equally as hilarious as the lyrics. Check it out above.

Quotable Lyrics:

I wanna stare at my phone and watch Tik Toks (Baby)
But I gotta wash shitty drawers and your dirty socks ([?])
I miss sleepin’ and fuckin’ anywhere I want (I do)
Now I’m breast feedin’ in the bathroom at a restaurant (Ugh)

Kodak Black & Chief Keef Take On Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke??”

Nardo Wick has had the year on smash with his single, “Who Want Smoke??” The record dropped at the beginning of the year and earned an organic buzz in the streets. However, it wasn’t until last week that it became a massive hit, thanks to the remix featuring Lil Durk, G Herbo, and 21 Savage. It’s been dominating playlists and it seems like it could be a contender for song of the year on many year-end lists.

The song was bound to produce several freestyles now that the actual remix was out. On Saturday, Kodak Black slid through with a surprise release of his remix to “Who Want Smoke??” alongside Chief Keef. Yak kicks off the record, paying homage to his breakout hit, “No Flockin'” before Chief Keef energizes the beat with menacing threats and memorable bars. “Swing the stick like a rock band, some guitar shit/ Hit your block, we don’t hit Walmarts, we hit Targets,” he raps with ferocity in his voice.

Though Keef and Kodak Black are, in many ways, very similar to one another, this marks the rare occasion they’ve connected on wax. The two previously were featured on Fredo Santana’s “High Off Gun Powder.”

Yak’s been delivering several surprise releases in recent times. Just last week, he delivered a new record titled, “Killing The Rats.”

Quotable Lyrics
Thuggin’ hard, AK’s and AR’s in the muscle cars
Fuck the blogs, fuck this music shit ’cause I be bussin’ fraud
I’m a bulldozer, make a n***a scoot over, bitch, I run my section
And you ain’t gotta like me, you ain’t even gotta respect me, just don’t disrespect me

Charmaine Brings Undeniable Energy To Her New Track “BBM”

Canadian artist Charmaine has been making a name for herself in the early stages of her career. After dropping the project “Hood Avant-Garde” back in April, fans have been anticipating some new tracks, and she has done more than satisfy that demand. With each new track, Charmaine shows off her energetic flow, and that is exactly what she does on her latest single called “BBM (Bad Bitch Mentality).”

When you look at the title of the song, you can pretty well expect some braggadocios lyrics, and that is exactly what you get as Charmaine does her best to explain what the Bad Bitch Mentality is all about. This song also has a hard-hitting instrumental which fits into the theme of the song. Overall, it’s another solid effort from the artist, and you can check it out, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Bad bitch mentality
Watch him try to flatter me
Bad bitch mentality
Put him on a salary
Bad bitch mentality
Teach a hoe my strategy

Young Thug Rides Out To The Ms On “Road Rage”

Young Thug announced Punk two years ago, shortly after releasing his official studio debut, So Much Fun. The lengthy wait for the album’s release left fans with much anticipation, though, projects like Slime Language 2 and Slime & B with Chris Brown effectively held fans over until Punk dropped.

The tracklist is stacked with features from Drake, J. Cole, Gunna, Future, and even the late Mac Miller. Many of his collaborators join the ever-eccentric world of Thugger but the rapper himself pushes the boundaries of his universe even further on Punk. “Road Rage,” for example,” finds Thug diving into his desires to obtain wealth by any means. With Taurus and prodbysmo handling the dreamy production on the track, Thugger showcases how he’s manifested his dreams of buying a Corvette to crashing it, only to purchase another one.

Check out the record below.

Quotable Lyrics
Red and white diamonds on my mans, he a ambulance
Half a million to my dad, salad dressing, bought a ranch
His last two weeks been busy from movin’ in
My mom took out her window to another Benz

Hotboii Takes A Shot At His Enemies On “All The Opps”

Coming out of Orlando, Florida, Hotboii has been impressing his fans with a plethora of dope high-energy tracks that speak on a variety of topics, including gang culture, money, jewelry, and any other hedonistic tendencies. His drops have always been consistent, and this past week, he delivered for his fans as he dropped the brand new song “All The Opps.”

As you will immediately notice, this song is incredibly catchy and features that energy we all know Hotboii for. Throughout the track, the artist takes aim at his opps and disses them in some pretty creative ways. From bad music to being simps, Hotboii has a lot to say about those who oppose him. Overall, this makes for a great song, that can be streamed below.

Quotable Lyrics:

All the opps music straight garbage, I need ear plugs
All the opps broke as hell, ain’t hard to get no income
All the opps be beefing ’bout a bitch and then forgive her
All the opps would be relevant, probably if I dissed them

Jamila Woods & Peter Cottontale Link Up For Lovely New Track “WYD”

Peter Cottontale is a master of r&b production all while Jamila Woods is one of the most interesting singer-songwriters out there. With that in mind, it should be no surprise that they would want to come together and deliver a truly enticing collaboration that would get fans excited. On Friday, that is exactly what they delivered with the brand new track “WYD (You Got Me)” which features both artists at their best creatively.

The track sees Woods starting things off with a verse about a relationship in which the two partners always have each other’s back. They are so in tune with one another that they know when the other is sad or unhealthy, which leads to a beautiful pairing. Peter Cottontale enters the track with some high-pitched vocals that ultimately work well within the instrumental. Overall, this makes for a great collaborative track, and you can check it out, below.

Quotable Lyrics:

You know my mood before I know it myself
You hit me up just checking in on my health
When you as if I’m okay I’m asking myself

Lauren Jauregui Drops “Scattered,” Featuring Vic Mensa

As she prepares for the release of her debut solo project, Lauren Jauregui has been keeping her fans entertained with regular new releases.  Earlier this month she shared the single “Colors,” and now she’s back with a Vic Mensa collaboration on “Scattered.”

The three minute and 38-second long song sees the two battle emotional demons as they sing about mental health.

“It’s essentially about my mind being scattered. Vic heard it and felt it. I loved the idea of having a male perspective on assessing mental health,” Jauregui said, according to Complex.

The 25-year-old was once a member of Fifth Harmony alongside Camila Cabello, Normani, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane. The group announced their split back in 2018, with the girls having dreams of pursing solo careers.

Jauregui’s first project on her own is to be titled Prelude. The release date remains under wraps for now, but with the singer dropping singles this consistently, it likely won’t be long until she’s ready to share more with the world.

Check out “Scattered” featuring Vic Mensa below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Tear stained face

I can’t face these Demons all alone

They don’t like me

All night they stay and eat light

They talk and they write

In thunder and lightning

Young Thug & Gunna Do Some Flexing On “Insure My Wrist”

Young Thug has become a beloved artist by many in hip-hop and it should come as no surprise that whenever he drops a new album, fans are curious to see the direction in which he goes. Leading up to this new album Punk, Thugger teased a lot of guitar-based songs in an NPR Tiny Desk concert. While some thought the album would be rock-inspired, it seems as though the artist has opted for more acoustic-based sounds as the album is filled with guitar ballads and softer songs.

One of those efforts is “Insure My Wrist” featuring Thug’s favorite protege, Gunna. Throughout the track, we get both artists rapping about their jewelry and their wealth. Thug talks about his jewelry costing so much that he has insurance on it, which is certainly a massive flex. Meanwhile, the instrumental is nice and soft, which leads to some nice melodies that wash over the track.

Let us know what you think, in the comments below.

Quotable Lyrics:

Half a million, got insurance on my watch
Half a million, I went got me some insurance on my wrist
I told lil’ ma “Be careful bitch, this all on my expense”
I told her “Watch the wheels on the Bent’, cause’ it ain’t rented”

Tierra Whack Lends Her Voice To “Pokemon 25” Album With “Art Show”

Tierra Whack has proven to be one of the most unique artists in the entire hip-hop space, and she is never shy to innovate with her sound. It has been a while since her memorizing 15-minute album from 2018, although since that time, she has come through with various singles. Now, she is back with another song, this time as part of the compilation album for Pokemon 25. The track is called “Art Show” and as you will hear, the song has a very interesting sound to it.

There is this nursery rhyme element to it as every line rhymes, all while the production is super light and something that you would hear from a children’s song. This should not be surprising, given the fact that at its core, Pokemon is a show and game for young children. Needless to say, this is a song you need to listen to understand the description we just gave, so check it out below.

Quotable Lyrics:

I wanna get inspired (Hey)
I’m trying to go higher (Higher)
I paint a perfect picture (Pic)
I am the biggest bidder (Ba-boom)
I love the different colors (Woo)
They’re mixing with each other (Yeah)
It’s such a combination (Hey)
I call it integration (Aww!)
